Sailor Saturn and the 8 Mistresses

Chapter 1- The Nightmare begins
It was nighttime and everyone in the town was asleep or safe inside their houses except for the Sailor Scouts. Sailor Moon walked up to the abandoned building where Doctor Tomoe once did his most horrible scientific creations to put the world into chaos in order to reawaken Pharaoh 90 and Mistress 9. She along with the Inner Sailor Scouts were not intending to go investigate the building, but they were asked to because the Outer Sailor Scouts, minus Hotaru, had a feeling that something was amiss in the building and they desired to figure out the problem. Sailors Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto wanted the youngest of their group to be watched over by Darien and Rini while they recruited Sailor Moon and her team to come with them to the building.
It was unusual that the Outer Scouts would go and ask Sailor Moon for help on a mission. They usually liked to take care of the bigger problems on their own, but Sailor Moon kept this to herself for the sake of the mission. Once the sight of the Tomoe household was within range, Sailor Moon opened the gate and let everyone inside of the building.
"What is it we are going to be investigating?" Sailor Mercury asks curiously.
"I hope it's not one of those Daimen creatures again! I have had enough of those creeps going after pure heart crystals!" Sailor Venus states as she shivers from the cold air.
"There isn't any. I can assure you girls that those creatures are not on the list." Sailor Pluto comments, using one of her clothes pins to safely unlock the door leading inside of the building. She knows that with Dr. Tomoe gone and out of the way, there was no need to worry about the incoming attacks of the Daimens, but she and the others wanted to be sure that every single one of the creatures is gone for good. "Hotaru told us that there is something hiding inside of the Doctors laboratory and she feared that there would be another Mistress 9 calamity like what had happened to her."
"You don't think that Mistress 9's going to attack again?" Sailor Mars looked at Pluto for some confirmation that the alien parasite that possessed Hotaru is gone for good.
Sailor Neptune shook her head as she leads the group through the darkened hallways. "No. When Hotaru was reborn after killing Pharaoh 90, there is no trace of Mistress 9's essence in her. But she wanted us to make sure that no surviving relatives of the parasite is lurking around the building."
"Relatives? Are you saying what I think you are trying to say?" Sailor Moon said, trying to piece the conversation together.
Sailor Uranus nods her head. "Yes Princess. Mistress 9 has eight parasitic companions that are like her. We need to search high and low to find those pesky bugs and get rid of them before they end up turning someone into their host."
Sailor Moon's bravado dwindled as she whines quietly in the hallway. "Mistress 9 was bad enough, but now we have to deal with eight mistresses in one night. I should have just said no to the offer and hang out with Rini, Darien and Hotaru!"

(Meanwhile at Darien's house)
"I am doing well in our game of Go Fish guys!" Hotaru beamed as she shows the backs of her three cards in her left hand. While the Scouts were busy with their mission, Darien thought that Hotaru and Rini would have some fun in playing Go Fish and Solitaire while they waited. Luna, Artemis and Diana were hanging around the table with Hotaru as they watched the game between the deadliest Sailor Scout and the future princess of Crystal Tokyo. "I am just about close to a win for this round Rini."
Rini tried to hide her disappointment on losing in this game but she is trying to be a good sport about it, because this was one of her closest friends besides Sailor Pluto who is looking for some fun with her. "She's right Darien. There goes my night of choosing a movie."
Darien chuckles lightly as he rubs Rini's hair to mess with her. "Don't be so sure Rini. You might win in the end. Only time will tell."

(Back with the Scouts)
Sailor Moon and the rest of the scouts had finally found the door that led downstairs to Dr Tomoe's laboratory. Taking the time to go down the stairs while watching every corner like a hawk, the girls had to be ready for any attack that might come their way. But there was nothing to worry about in the lab, or so it seemed, so the girls dropped their guard and began to search diligently for any sign of the parasite seeds that were usually used to create the Daimens. Sailor Moon, Mercury and Mars went one corner of the lab to search, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto went another corner while Jupiter and Venus were left to look at another area of the lab.
"I am beginning to feel that something about this peace and quiet lab is not right." Jupiter said, worrying about if the parasites had escaped already and they had just missed them.
Venus didn't say anything to contradict it but she couldn't blame Jupiter for her apprehension on the subject. She was feeling nervous too. She also secretly hoped that the other mistresses Neptune and Uranus mentioned would not be in the mood to feast on any pure heart crystals. She and the other Inner Scouts wanted to just find those seeds, destroy them and get the heck out of the lab!
Venus stepped on something and it felt rough under her foot. "Ouch!" She winced a bit from the shock and bent down to pick whatever it was that she took a wrong step on. It looked to be one of those colorful pebbles people sometimes collected if they enjoyed jewel stones. Venus cocked an eyebrow in confusion as she knows that the doctor wouldn't have thought about collecting pebbles in his past time. Maybe one of the 5 Witches did, but she didn't really know for sure. There were more where that came from as she spotted one, two, three, four, five... Eight pebbles. Dark orange, green, blue, red, black, aqua, green and black, and another dark blue. "Hey Sailor Jupiter, do you think we should do something about the pebbles here?"
Jupiter squinted her eyes as she studied the pebbles that Venus was picking up from the floor. "That's weird. These don't look like the jewel pebbles that we see often in jewelry stores." She picked a dark green pebble from Venus' hand as she holds it in the palm of her hand. "It feels warm to the touch." She thought she was seeing things, but the moment she put the pebble on her hand, she jumped when she saw a glowing number on the pebble. It glowed a number five. It wasn't the only one acting weird. The dark orange pebble glowed a number six.
Without any warning, the dark green and dark orange pebbles snapped themselves onto Venus and Jupiter's hands, making them yelp in pain like a bee had just stung them. The rest of the pebbles fell down to the ground as the two sailor scouts tried to pry the pebbles off their hands. To their horror, the pebbles were deceiving them; they were the seeds they were sent to destroy. But before the two scouts tried to summon their most powerful attacks, the seeds implanted themselves into the palms of their hands, sinking inside of their skin until the seed fully vanished inside of them.
Venus and Jupiter wanted to scream in absolute horror at what had happened, but found that something inside of them wasn't letting them express it. Then their forehead marks with their planet symbols were erased and replaced with the star symbol that Mistress 9 once had on her forehead. For a few moments, none of the two scouts dared to say anything as they slowly were losing their ability to fight back against the parasites that just possessed their bodies. It was like they were watching the whole thing happen in their eyes but they couldn't do anything about it. The transformation of Jupiter and Venus had begun.

(Darien's house)
Hotaru stopped playing Go Fish for a moment to rub the headache she was getting. Wincing in pain, she says, "Stop messing with my head! You are making me s-sick!"
Darien and Rini didn't know what was going on with her at the moment. Darien got out of his chair to check her forehead to see if she was having a fever. She was perfectly normal. Rini was the one who tried to reassure Hotaru by waving her hands in surrender, letting the cards in her hand fly down to the floor. "I'm not trying to mess with you Hotaru! I surrender if that is what you want!" Rini said, putting her hands up in the air. Diana jumped down from the table to pick up Rini's cards she accidentally let go before coming back up.
"I don't think it's that Rini," Darien said. "I think I feel something is wrong with one of the Sailor Scouts. I can feel it in my heart." His chest tightened in pain like a constrictor was squeezing the lift out of him.
"It's the 8 Mistresses!" Hotaru practically cried out in pain. She usually saw some of the dangers beforehand to warn her three adoptive mothers of what's to come, but she has never been this upset before on any of the visions except for this one. "They're coming! We need to get away before they come to get us!"

(Back at Dr. Tomoes house)
Sailor Jupiter was the first to fall under the transformation when the seed implanted itself into her body, taking over her mind from within. Although she tried her best to fight it off, the pull from the parasite within her was too strong to resist. It was like her subconscious was forced to take a back seat while the parasite took absolute control of her within any problem. Once she was under control of the parasite, her face turned pale. Her long ponytail grew thicker, making it look like her whole hair was piled into it. Black star earrings showed up on her ears while a small black necklace appeared around her neck. Her sailor scout uniform changed to a black color with a green stripe down the center of her new uniform. The ends of her uniform top curved outwards. Her short skirt had three layers going in a black, dark green and black pattern. On her legs were zigzag marks and it would make you think that she got hurt in the struggle but it was apart of the design of her leg wear. It was the same for her arms which had the same zigzag marks like the legs. Her sailor scout shoes remained where they were, but they changed to a darker shade of green. Her gloves were changed from the shoulder length look to one where the gloves only reach her wrists.
Sailor Venus was just about finished with her transformation soon as she was caught off guard by the seed going inside of her. Once the parasite in her managed to keep her under control, it started to shape the girl to its design. Like Jupiter, Venus turned pale. Her red bow that was on top of her head was gone. On her arms she had the same zigzag marks that are traced on her but her hands were exposed now that the gloves were gone. On her wrists were black bracelets with dark orange jewels for the designs. Her earrings which once had hearts were now changed to the star symbols like the one on her forehead. Her sailor scout shoes remained untouched but they took a a dark tone of orange. Her uniform was severely changed to a black dress with the dark orange ribbon like chest piece that covered her chest.
The parasite infested Jupiter blinked her eyes and rubbed them as she begins to wake up from her transformation. Looking at the infected Venus, the girl snapped her fingers to get her attention. "Come on Mistress 6! There is no time to stare off into the distance! We need to get our sisters their new bodies so that we can accomplish what Mistress 9 didn't!" She snapped a command at her.
The parasite infected Venus, or Mistress 6, blinked her eyes in confusion as she starts standing up on her feet, shaking off the dust that was on her dress and took out what looked to be a eye mask that under went a change from blue to dark orange. She adjusted her eye mask on her face while the parasite infested Jupiter was going to pick up the other seeds that needed a host body to fulfill their plan of action. Unfortunately for Jupiter, Mistress 6 took one look at herself in the mirror and jumped back in shock, knocking both of them down to the ground.
"Whoa! My mask makes me look more beautiful than even Mistress 1, Mistress 5! But I think we should get going with putting the seeds into the girls in the building." 6 said as she brushes her waist long hair away from her older sister who is lying on the floor looking at her in disgust.
"Then get off of me! You must or I cannot move!" 5 said, banging the back of her head on the floor as she can't deal with her sister's incompetence of not getting distracted on her beauty.
6 complied as she is spooked by 5's anger for she didn't want to get zapped by her lighting powers. 5 got up from the ground and scooped up the seeds into her hand. Looking around for the perfect host bodies for each of her sisters still trapped within their prisons, 5 wandered around the dark corners of the lab where she would not be seen.
"Did you guys hear something over here?!" Sailor Moon asked as she was running to Mistress 6's side, thinking that Venus was still her old self.
"Oh, um, sorry it must have been a mouse that was hiding around here." 6 pretended to act like she was clumsy when she really wasn't.
"Hey Sailor Venus, why are you dressed like that?" Sailor Moon asks, not sure if she was seeing things or not, but when she saw the star symbol on Venus' forehead, her eyes widened in horror. "Scouts! The mistresses have-!" She was going to warn the other Sailor Scouts of the situation on hand, but 5 sent a spark of a thunder bolt her way, paralyzing Sailor Moon in an instant. Her pure heart crystal was pushed out of her chest as Sailor Moon's body slammed to the ground. It stayed in the air while Mistress 5 put one of the seeds onto Sailor Moon's forehead. The seed glowed a dark gold color with a number 7 on it as it implanted itself into her forehead. Sailor Moon jolted a bit from the pain of the thunder bolt, and the seed successfully pushed itself inside of her body. Already beginning on her transformation.
Sailor Moon's uniform vanished as it was replaced by her Princess Serenity dress. But the sad thing of that transformation is that the white color changed to black. Black as the night sky with no moon to shine through the darkness. The gold rings around her top changed into gold circles as the dark dress overlapped the white. She received the same zigzag designs on her arms, and her gloves disappeared from her hands, replaced with black wristbands. Mistress 5 took Sailor Moon's silver crystal and gave it to Mistress 6 who was marveling at the beauty of the object and used her magic to imprison the silver crystal into one of the gems on her right bracelet. With the silver crystal taken into custody, Mistress 5 took a long look at the pure heart crystal that was floating above Mistress 7's new body. She took it out of the air and looked for a glass jar to keep it under lock and key. Once she found it, she gently placed the pure heart crystal in the jar and closed it, putting it away in a safe place. The crescent moon earrings changed to the star symbol on Sailor Moon's ears and her eyelashes began to show some red makeup on them.
Mistress 7 woke up from the blow and berated her older sister for her reckless action. "Can't you just sneak the seed on my new body without having to use your lightning?!" 5 shrugs her shoulders, while 6 giggled upon seeing their new sister joining them on the fun of getting the seeds to their new host bodies.

(Darien's house)
Hotaru calmed down for the time being, but she was still watching every corner like a hawk, waiting for something to come out from the shadows as Rini said to Darien. "Well, whatever that outburst was, it stopped. What do you think made her upset like that?"
At that moment, Darien doubled over in pain as if he was stabbed in the heart. "Something happened with Sailor Moon! I'd better go out there and see what is going on. Rini, take care of Hotaru while I am out." Rini nods her head as she prays that he will be alright. Darien took Luna and Artemis to help him investigate what was going on with the Sailor Scouts and Rini was left with Diana.
Rini came over to help Hotaru onto the family couch as she wraps her friend in some blankets. "Here Hotaru, how about you help me decide which movie to watch while we wait for Darien to come back."
All Hotaru could say at the moment was, "I need to protect you and the others from the 8 Mistresses Rini! One of them is bound to look at your pure heart crystal like a tasty snack and I can't let that happen again!" Without further ado, Hotaru reaches out to Rini's chest and a faint purple glow is shown. Once that was done, Hotaru explained. "This should protect you, Darien, Luna, Artemis and Diana if anything happens."
"What was that thing you did Hotaru?" Rini questioned softly as she rubs her hand over her heart. "What's got you so upset?"
Hotaru looked like she had this look in her eyes that said 'how can I explain this to her without giving her a fright?', so she sighed. "I have a bad feeling that the 8 Mistresses are going to come out of hiding and wreak havoc on our town. You see, while I was under the influence of Mistress 9, I kept having strange dreams of those eight mysterious women who are like Mistress 9 but different in personalities, abilities and their aggressive behavior in killing people or holding them hostage for sport."
"Aw there is nothing to worry about Hotaru." Rini said, trying to console her friend. But Hotaru shook her head sadly.
"I'm afraid this is something to worry about. I don't want you or anyone else in our Sailor Guardian family to get hurt by the 8 Mistresses. I just hope that Darien can make it out of there before it is too late..." Hotaru looks out the window, seeing the clear night sky in the distance.

Meanwhile heading right over to Doctor Tomoe's abandoned building, Tuxedo Mask examines the ruins of the scenery before he goes inside of the house to investigate. He managed to figure out where exactly the lab was and decided to creep closer to the door to see what was going on. He didn't want to be seen for fear that the Inner Scouts will become distracted by his presence, and he wanted Sailor Moon to feel like she can handle this mission on her own the moment she left him in charge of protecting Hotaru, Rini and the cats.
But before he could lean his head up over the railing that led downstairs to the lab, he saw a bright flash of lightning from below along with the distant sounds of screams in fright with a big thud echoing on the ground. Both curious and horrified at what was going on, he peeked over the railing. His eyes widened in horror behind the mask. Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury were knocked out cold on the floor with the leering shadow figures of Sailor Venus, Jupiter, and... Sailor Moon looking down on them like prey. Sailor Moon didn't look like herself anymore in Tuxedo Mask's eyes, she looked like she was infested with something possessing her body. That would explain why he felt like he had to go there because she was in danger along with the other scouts. Her fingers were covered with blood, probably from stabbing her fingernails into Sailor Mars and Mercury's chest, and in her hands were some sort of seeds.
"I thought we heard some screams girls! What's going on-!? Oh no!" Sailor Pluto stopped in her tracks as she and the rest of the Outer Scouts looked on in horror.
Sailor Neptune was especially horrified that she covered her mouth, trying to stifle a gasp. "Its them! Mistress 9's sisters!"
Sailor Uranus cursed under her breath as she brandished her sword, ready to destroy the enemy at any cost. "We need to get them out of the girls' bodies!" A vicious zap from the lightning stopped her dead in her tracks. She fell to the ground as her sword clattered on the floor. Her pure heart crystal was pushed out of her chest and floated over her body.
"Amara! No!" Sailor Neptune cried out as she allowed the tears to flow. Before she could run over to help her lover, she got wrapped up in a tangle of ribbons which acted like snakes in coiling around their prey. Then a blast of lightning knocked Neptune unconscious as the ribbons held her up, keeping her from falling over as the pure heart crystal appeared from her chest as it floated in midair.
Pluto wanted to scream out at the girls for doing this, but she forced herself to keep her mouth shut as she watched in horror when Mistress 7 crept up toward the heart crystals and crushed them in her hands, reducing them to glass shards. For a moment Pluto thought that Sailor Moon's parasite had killed Uranus and Neptune in cold blood, but a voice broke her out of the horrified trance. "Sister 7, you should have let me extend the life span in those heart crystals so that our remaining sisters host bodies can live without the need of the crystals." That was Sailor Mercury's voice, but when Pluto turned her gaze to look at her she wanted to throw up and how terrifyingly beautiful she was.
Mercury had very minor changes to her looks, other than having two long ponytails that overshadow her short blue hair. Her dress had a black top for her chest but the bottom half was split in colors with the blue on top and black underneath the skirt. She had the same zigzag lines traced on her arms with Sailor Venus' shoe design on her feet, only hers was dark blue. She didn't have anything on her hands except for the blue fingernails.
Mars transformation chilled Pluto to no end. She looked very regal in appearance with a dark red dress and some frills on her shoulders. Other than the pale skin, the red eye makeup, and the same star symbol with the earrings on, Mars looked like she was the calm one in the bunch.
Mistress 7 sneered playfully at the parasite possessing Mercury. "I just want to have these things to decorate my hair with. Is that too much to ask 3?"
Mistress 3 looked at her, not amused by her sisters antics. "We need our sisters to have perfectly capable bodies to help house their spirits from the seeds. Do you even remember what happened the last time we allowed you to wreak havoc in one of the other galaxies?"
"It's not my fault that those alien creatures have some very good spoils for me to wear in my hair." Mistress 7 smiled, not caring at all of what she had just done as she smears some of the pure heart crystal turned dust into her hair like glitter.
The parasite infecting Mars wrinkled her nose in disgust. "Nevertheless you need to take better care of those crystals big sister. I maybe am number eight of the family, but at least I know to take better care of taking them out better than you."
Mistress 7 got in Mistress 8's face as she sneers. "Say it again you goody goody take your heart out girl!" Mistress 8 wasn't fazed by her sisters outburst.
Tuxedo Mask didn't like where this was going. He knows that he can't take on the new Mistresses possessing his girl and her teammates, and besides he doesn't know how capable they are. It was bad enough that Mistress 9 was a major threat, but put all of the Mistresses together is a sure sign of trouble. He tries to take a breath to calm himself and prepare to make his exit. "This is not good. I have to go warn Hotaru and Rini!"
Mistress 6 was admiring her jewels on her bracelet when she spotted something in the reflection. "Hey sisters! I think there is someone we can play with for one of those pure heart crystals." Tuxedo Mask began to run right out of the door and hurried to get out of the house.
Mistress 7 stopped pestering Mistress 8 and grinned evilly at the thought of gaining another crystal to decorate her hair. "Leave him to me girls! The sooner I get to look prettier than you, the sooner I will be one step ahead of you all!" With this in mind, Mistress 7 began to give chase right on Tuxedo Mask's tail. Once she thought she was far enough to aim her attack straight for the boy, She formed a shadow ball in her hands and threw it in his direction. It appeared that Tuxedo Mask knew where she was going to hit him and he expertly dodged to the side, making her shadow ball miss him by a mile. Fuming at the missed shot, Mistress 7 formed another shadow ball to shoot at him, missing her target once again for he went in a zigzag motion to make himself a harder target.

(Darien's house)
Hotaru couldn't rest on the couch as she takes a moment to look through the window, waiting for Darien to come back safe and sound. Rini was a bit worried for her friend and tried to persuade her to relax on the couch again. "Darien will be back before you know it Hotaru. Why don't you cuddle up with me and play a game?" Rini said, trying to ease her friends mind.
Just then Darien came rushing through the door. He didn't bother to shut the door for he was panting in exhaustion that his top black hat and mask fell off his head. "Girls... *gasp*... you must run! *pant* The Sailor Scouts... are under the control of...*gasp* the Mistresses! They are coming!" Luna and Artemis came in after Darien and silently recruited Diana to follow them to the back door in case they have to get out right away.

(Outside of Darien's house)
Mistress 7 stopped when she noticed that the boy she was chasing took shelter inside of the house. She could see some glimpses of a young pink haired girl with bunny-like ponytails and the girl who was once Mistress 9's host body. This was just way too good an opportunity to pass up because two more victims means two more crushed crystals to use for her hair decoration. "The crystals are mine! I cannot miss this one! Let's see these kids dodge this!" She raised her hands up in the air to create a bigger shadow ball. The dark tentacles are swirling around the ball in a dark aura.

(Inside Darien's house)
"What do you mean by that Dairen? Sailor Moon wouldn't allow the Mistresses to get the better of them!" Rini said in disbelief, shaking her head to show that she didn't like what Darien was telling her.
Darien kept panting for a while when he raised his right hand up to silently tell the girl to be quiet for a minute. "This isn't a joke, Rini. We have to get out of here quick! Sailor Moon's attack is... coming."
While Darien was trying to rest for a moment, Hotaru looked again outside of the window to see the shadow figure out Sailor Moon, but based on the dark aura she is sensing from her body, it was Mistress 7 creating a gigantic shadow ball heading straight for them at any second. Hotaru acted out quickly to shut the door and lock it. "He is right Rini! Quick! Everyone OUT OF THE HOUSE!"
Hotaru hurriedly urged Darien to get back up on his feet and pointed to the back door where Diana, Luna and Artemis are waiting close by. Rini wasn't convinced of the danger and proceeded to look out the same window where Hotaru looked through. "Oh no! I'm not running away from this! I am going to stay right here and snap Sailor Moon out of it!"
"Rini! We have to go!" Hotaru wasn't taking any chances in letting her best friend get hurt as she pulls the little girl away from the window forcefully and makes a run toward the back door. Just as they left the house, the whole building was blinded by darkness and it proceeded to burn in the dark.
