For those who don't care, don't mind, and this is their type of reading, but don't mind some warnings, I'll provide as needed. Anyway, on to part two and where we left off.
Don't Even Dare:
**previously**
"You can't help her." He spoke. "Too bad. Though you can't help yourself, either…" He started to say until something caught his attention, his friend also glancing behind him.
"You two better put them down, now." The girls glanced as they recognized whose voice that was.
"Or else." Another voice they knew added, as they heard the person crack their knuckles, plus some crackles in the sky. "Although, to be fair we're going to kick your asses anyway." The girls were shocked to see the two of them there.
(*)
Jackie stared shocked, as the guy somewhat released her, but stayed close, keeping her on the wall. She didn't know if this was an illusion because she hit her head a little, or because of the lack of oxygen she had from the hit, or what. However, seeing him, that was something she wasn't expecting.
"Gu…Gunther…" She let out breathlessly. "What…what are you…" She started to question, the pain in her ribs and body making it hard to breathe and focus. But, she knew one thing, and that was Kick and Gunther were in danger if they stayed there. "Run…you have to…run…there's something…something off about these two." She warned. The guy that was in front of her just rolled his eyes.
"How cute." He chuckled. "Although, you're in no position to be warning anyone." All he did was lightly shove her against the wall, which caused a new wave of pain to rush through her as she felt even more breathless then before. It was hard for her to breathe. And she could barely scream out from the pain. He cracked one hands knuckles, and she saw his fingers had sharp claw-like nails at the end of them which terrified her. She closed her eyes when she saw he was about to strike, her mind thinking she was in some kind of horror film gone completely wrong, or nightmare even. However, the hit never came.
She glanced up, seeing Gunther in front of her, and the other guy was now a few feet away, on the ground. He seemed to have been thrown and hit hard, as he was turning around now to face them. She wanted to say something, but it was hard to breathe, so all she could do was sink down the wall, trying to focus on her breathing and what was going on, given she didn't understand a thing. But she knew something was up, in fact she knew something was off. 'I don't….what's…how did Gunther…What's going on?' She wondered in her thoughts
"We warned you." Gunther glared.
"Now, we're telling you, get away from them." Kick also glared, the lightening flashing in the sky.
"You think I'm scared of some weak asses like you." The guy that had Kendall commented. "Besides, weren't you ever taught not to invade on another's claim?" He questioned as he turned around, having Kendall in front of him, his sharp claws at her neck. Kick narrowed his eyes further.
"This isn't your territory." Gunther growled out.
"And more to it, they're not yours to claim." Kick added.
"So we're deciding to spread out a bit, still doesn't mean we can't stake a claim." The guy holding Kendall spoke, his tone nonchalant about this. Kendall glanced behind her, her vision starting to go blurry, but she was trying to stay focused enough to be aware of the situation. The one that Gunther threw, got up, glaring at him now.
"You two rouges obviously have no idea who you're messing with." Gunther threatened, his own voice becoming menacing.
"Oh and who's that?" The one that had Kendall inquired. "Because if you ask me, I don't see anything special." Kick was getting more pissed and annoyed by this person.
The guy that Gunther threw went to go in for a sneak attack at Kick, thinking he was distracted with his colleague, however was surprised when Kick knew what he was going to do. Kick came up behind him, kicking him hard towards Gunther who punched him to the ground, the ground earning a few cracks. Jackie was shocked to see this, her mind trying to process it all, but wasn't sure if she was. Gunther then easily lifted him and kicked him towards the ground near kick, some electrical shocks emanating from his body as he went flying. Kick stomped on him, more electrical currents shocking the guy, before Kick kicked him towards a different wall.
The guy that had Kendall narrowed his eyes further as he watched his friend get beat back against the wall. He held Kendall closer, who even though her vision was hazy, was also trying to understand the situation, but knew one thing and that was to get out of his grasp. She tried to think on how to do that as she felt his sharp nails on her neck. 'Think Kendall…..come on…' She was losing focus, until she glanced down at her purse. Her hands still technically free as the guy only had one arm around her body, the other at her neck. Kick glanced at him, his eyes harsh.
"Let her go." Kick wasn't playing around now.
"Make one wrong move, and she dies, and all her blood gets wasted." The guy warned. "And that be quite a shame given how sweet and tasty it smells." Jackie stared at him with that, as did Kendall as she glanced back with her eyes. Kick just continued to glare. "Now either you two leave or…" Kendall tried to be quick as she grabbed her perfume again, and hit her head back to hit him in the face with the back of her head. When she sprayed him again, he pushed her away, which Gunther was quick to help, while Kick went in for the attack. The guy was quick as he could be but got shocked by Kick, his side now hurting as he glared at the four. "Fucking… that damn bitch is going to get it…" His face seemed to heal quickly which Jackie couldn't believe. She crawled over to Kendall, but she was already losing conscience, when Gunther got up to help Kick, them both standing in front of the girls as guards.
"Kends…" Jackie was worried as she held her. She glanced at the boys, seeing that they were already ready for a battle. 'I don't…what is going on…' Jackie didn't know what was going on. 'Gunther….is he…..he's like….has he always….' Her mind started to wonder. 'Is he hiding more…from me….maybe….maybe he really…' Her mind even though she knew she was in danger couldn't help but go back to her and Kendall's previous conversation, even more it couldn't help but go back to how she's been feeling for a while. She felt like she was going to cry, but didn't want to so all her body could do was tremble to keep her from crying. 'Have I…have I lost him?'
They cracked their knuckles again, small lightning bolts radiating from their fists as they were about to attack again. Kick kept his glare with the guy. He didn't like his thoughts nor what he was intending to do. Both were ready to fight the two more as the other guy got up from the wall Kick kicked him at, walking over to his friend, in some pain as he tried to alleviate some of the pain by cracking and popping his bones and knuckles back into place.
"Kyros…." The guy glanced at his friend, Jackie for the first time hearing a name. The guy that attacked her, named his friend who attacked Kendall.
"What Leander?" The other glanced, still trying to stay focused, though his side hurt.
"I think these two are…" Leander replied, warning him, which made Kyros have to glance back at Kick and Gunther.
"So?" He let out a huff, which only pissed the boys off more.
"Kyros, we shouldn't." Leander told him, backing up. "We need to leave." Kyros just continued to glare.
"I'd listen to your friend." Kick instructed.
"Yeah he's not stupid and knows who he's dealing with." Gunther mentioned. "So leave, or else." His tone was still harsh. Kyros glanced back at his retreating friend before staring hard at the boys.
"We'll be back…" He warned, as he also retreated.
"Kick…" Gunther glanced at him.
"Already on it." Kick responded quickly. "They won't get far." Both boys turned, Kick wanting to help the girls, while Jackie held Kendall close. She was still trembling as she didn't know what was going on, but felt for certain that Gunther was hiding things from her. It hurt to breathe, but she wasn't going to leave her best friend. "Jackie we need to go get you guys some medical attention." Kick went closer so he could get Kendall.
"Don't…" Jackie warned, glancing up at them. Gunther biting the inside of cheek as he was afraid this might happen. "Don't….we….what just…." She was fumbling out. "What happened? What…were those two? Why were… you guys….why are you…." She glanced at Gunther. "Don't come closer…" She was trembling as she held Kendall, still trying to keep from crying, plus trying to breathe. Her body in excruciating pain, as it was too painful to breathe. She didn't understand anything, even more she didn't know who Gunther was, and what he was hiding from her.
"Jackie, Kendall needs immediate medical attention." Kick told her. "So do you." He was trying to help her calm down and focus so they could get them to get checked. "That wound is serious, she needs to be checked." His voice was quiet and calmer as he was trying to assure her.
"We're here to help Jackie, please." Gunther added. "We just want to help you two." He was also trying to reassure her. She just stared at them before glancing at Kendall. She knew she was unconscious and that the wound was bad. In fact she knew things were really bad since that she could barely breathe without it being completely and extremely painful. She glanced back at them. "Please Jackie." He pleaded. "We just want to make sure you two are okay. We want to help you two." He continued. "Please, let us help you." He stared at her.
She swallowed, as painful as it was, before lifting up her hands and releasing Kendall so Kick could take her. She watched as he did that, carrying her bridal style. Gunther was about to do the same to Jackie, but she flinched, looking back at him. He glanced down. 'She…' He breathed, as he thought about the fact she was scared of him. 'I see it Gunther.' Kick replied in his thoughts. 'But right now we need to get them to get some help, immediately.' Kick retorted. Gunther did a slight nod. Kick was quick in leaving. Jackie tried to get up, using the wall for some support. Her body was even in more pain then she thought as she did that.
"I…. can walk…" She finally let out, not sure where Kick went. She glanced at Gunther wanting to ask.
"Jackie, you need immediate attention." Gunther tried to tell her. "Please let me help you." He offered, pleading with her again. She just stared at him. "Please Jackie." He was begging. "I just want to help you." She let out a breath, which hurt like hell as she held her chest, he saw. "Jackie…" He was concerned.
"Fine…" She tried to get out. "But….but this isn't….I want… to know…" She relented looking at him. He figured there was no way out of this, but did a small nod, as he went to carefully hold her. She felt the slight pain, but he was careful as he held her.
When he moved, she wasn't expecting him to jump so high, she would have let out a small scream, gasp, or something if it didn't hurt so much. She knew one thing and that was that this wasn't something you learned from stunts, from sports or training. Not with how fast he was nor how he leaped across the high building tops until they got to Kick's place, which she didn't know why they were going there, however, it all was not normal. This only proved to her that he was hiding more from her, hiding a secret life, which made her feel even more inferior. As he got to the steps, she wanted to be put down, which he didn't like, but he carefully put her down as they went in. Kick had placed Kendall on his couch, and Brianna was running down the stairs as Gunther was trying to lead Jackie to the loveseat adjacent from the couch.
"Are you two completely and utterly idiotic and reckless?" Brianna started to scold.
"Mom!" Kick called, his mom and even Gunther's mom coming out from the backyard. Both shocked by the scene.
"We didn't have a choice here Brianna, there were two rouges, and they were attacking them." Gunther defended.
"Oh my…" Honey looked at the girls, especially Kendall as she went over to her. "Helga get the medicines we need." She instructed.
"You can heal them right?" Kick asked.
"We should be able to with the medicine yes." Honey nodded. Brianna glanced at both of them. Kick backed up so their moms could have room when Helga came back in. She gave the necessary medicines to Honey while going over to Jackie. Jackie just stared, not sure what was going on, even more not sure how to respond as too much was going on in her mind. She slightly flinched when Helga came up to her.
"It's okay dear, I'm just going to see what's wrong." She tried to comfort, Brianna and Gunther noticing Jackie's reactions. "My hand will be a bit cold, because I just washed it, but I promise I will not hurt you." Her voice was calm and a bit quiet.
Jackie tried to calm herself down a little as Helga went under her shirt, having her hand check her upper abdomen area and chest. Jackie glanced over at Kendall and saw that Kick's mom was placing some medicines she never seen before on Kendall's wound, before placing her hand over the wound and it lighting up. She was amazed to see the wound start to close and heal. She felt something be placed on her skin, it felt like a cream. It caused a sensation that burned as it was cold, stung and made her cry out a bit.
"I'm sorry dear…" Helga apologized. "This will be for just a short time as I heal you." Helga told her. "I promise it will be over soon."
"She'll be okay right mom?" Gunther questioned as he was getting more worried.
"Will they both be okay?" Brianna asked, seeing that their mom was finishing up with Kendall, who was still unconscious.
"Yes, she might still have some bruising." Helga replied. "She had many bruised ribs, and a few cracked." She informed. "I'm surprised she was breathing when you brought her." Helga glanced back at her son, who only looked more pissed at the situation that happened before looking concerned for Jackie as he looked at her. "However, when I'm done she'll just have some bruising given, even my abilities have limits with her." Helga further explained, focusing back on Jackie. "Luckily it won't be serious, and her ribs will only be a bit sore, but I would recommend for at least a week an icepack after I'm done to help." She suggested. Jackie felt the burning and painful sensation start to cease and she could finally breathe without it hurting. In fact she thought Helga's hands were really warm and comforting for a bit as she finished healing her. Helga finished, glancing back at the others. "I'll go get the ice pack so it can help." She spoke. "Can you breathe better now dear?" Helga asked Jackie. She did a few simple nods. Helga smiled. "Good." She replied as she went into the kitchen.
Honey was done healing Kendall. She wiped some sweat from her brow, before turning to face her kids as she was putting away the medical stuff she was using.
"She'll be okay." Honey reassured. "She should wake up soon." Both Kick and Brianna let out a sigh of relief hearing that. "You are lucky that the wound wasn't that deep and that Helga and I had the right herbs, medicines and stuff to help." She told them as she got up. "Otherwise things could have been different. However, she will be okay." She let out. "Although the fact this happened…" She trailed. Kick nodded.
"Trust us we didn't mean for this to happen." Kick responded. "I thought you were supposed to be with them." He glanced at his sister.
"I told you something came up." Brianna reminded. "If I recall both of you were doing absolutely nothing, so why weren't you watching them?" She inquired.
"They wanted a girls' night, meaning your watch Brianna." Gunther retorted, his tone getting slightly harsh. Jackie slowly got up and went over to Kendall, sitting near her.
"Do not even blame me for this." She pointed.
"Kids." Honey interrupted them before they could fight more. It got their attentions, as she had a look aimed at them, before she went into the kitchen as well. Helga came out, giving Jackie the icepack wrapped in a wrap, helping her place it. She also gave the boys and Brianna a look as she went back into the kitchen.
It was silent for a bit, until Jackie couldn't take it anymore, her mind was just wondering, and she hated the thoughts she was having. She had to know. She needed to know. She glanced up at them.
"What…what happened?" She asked, finally ending the silence. The others, especially Gunther, unsure how to respond which she saw, only making her feel worse.
To be continued…
