If you don't read everybody has feelings before reading this story, you might be a little confused.

13 year old Dwayne Junior was going through a rough time at the moment. He was currently in a hospital bed with an IV plugged into his arm. He had just been attacked by a rabbit, and was very lucky to still be alive. He had several cuts all across his body that had to be stitched up. The most notable one was the giant X mark across his face. His lower back was quite sore, as he had a really bad case of lumbar vertebrae fracture. His chest was also giving him a lot of trouble, as four of his ribs were broken. His head was also hurting a little bit, courtesy of his concussion.

The pain wasn't the only problem that he had. There was also the pain pills he was required to take, that tasted revolting, but not as revolting as the hospital food. Every time he had to use the toilet, he needed help getting to and from the bathroom. Bathing made him uncomfortable, as he had to be sponge bathed by doctors and nurses. This made him feel awkward, as some of those medical workers were females, and they were over 20 years older than him.

There were a few minor upsides to being in the hospital. Several fans that watched him during the Ridongculous on tv, sent him a lot of get well soon gifts. He also received gifts from the other contestants he met during the race. Nearly all of his fellow contestants came to visit him, and that surprisingly included the ice dancers. The only ones who hadn't visited him, were the vegans. Junior still suspected that they were upset about the fossil incident.

One thing that Junior was doing a lot of while lying in his hospital bed, was watching tv. One thing that really interested him, was magicians performing on stage. Junior remember being really interested in magic when he was little. Back then, his parents were well known magicians in his home town of Mount Sword. But as Junior got older, he slowly started to lose interest in magic, when he found out that it wasn't actually real. But after seeing certain tricks it on tv, he just didn't understand how it could be an illusion. The magic he saw looked far more realistic than what he saw when he was a kid, and he just didn't understand how a single part of it could be fake.

The day Junior was discharged from the hospital, was the day all of the contestants were going back to Canada. The doctors told him to take it extremely easy for at least 2 months. Junior was slowly walking out of the hospital without a shirt. He had a back brace wrapped around his lower torso, and had an ice pack taped to his chest. What he didn't expect, was for the vegans to be waiting right outside for him, and he certainly didn't expect Laurie to be in tears. Laurie ran up to Junior, and began hugging him as tight as she could. "I'M SORRY I CAUSED YOUR INJURY!" she shouted. "I SHOULDN'T HAVE WISHED KARMA ON YOUR DAD, I DIDN'T KNOW IT WOULD RESULT IN YOU GETTING SERIOUSLY HURT!" "I SHOULD HAVE REALIZED THAT YOUR DAD DIDN'T MEANT TO STEAL THE FOSSIL, IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!" Because Laurie was squeezing him so tight, Junior could feel the pressure she was adding to his already severely fractured bones. "Laurie please, let go of me" he whimpered, as he began to shed a few tears. "You're hurting me really bad, I can barely breath." Laurie quickly let go of him, and Junior began breathing heavily, and then began to slow down. Once he regained his composure, he spoke calmly to her. "Listen Laurie, I don't blame you in the slightest for my current condition" he said. "Sometimes bad things just happen to good people, and we just don't have control." "Yeah, we would have visited you while you were in the hospital, but Laurie felt too guilty to come anywhere near you" said Miles. Not wanting to be crushed again in a group hug, Junior simply decided to shake hands with the vegans.

Soon everyone was sitting in the airport, waiting to board their flight back to Toronto. Miles had just gotten back from the bathroom, and she began coughing uncontrollably. Then, the coughing turned into uncontrollable breathing. Miles then fell backwards, and went unconscious. Junior quickly ran over to her, to try and check for a pulse, and found none. What was even more shocking, was that she wasn't breathing. "SHE'S SUFFERING FROM CARDIAC ARREST, SOMEBODY DIAL 911!" shouted Junior. While Dwayne Senior did exactly as instructed, Dwayne Junior began pressing his hand onto Miles' chest. In between pumps, he would occasionally breath some air into her mouth. Paramedics soon arrived, and quickly ran into the building. Once they showed up, Miles slowly began to open her eyes, and stood up under her own power. Her glasses had fallen off when she fell down to the ground, and and Junior gently set them back on her face. "What the heck just happened?" asked Miles. "Your heart stopped completely, we all thought you were dead" said Dwayne.

Miles was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. As nearly all of the contestants got on the plane, they began praying to God, hoping that Miles would somehow make it through this. Laurie, Dwayne Senior, and Dwayne Junior decided to stay in New York, until Miles made a full recovery.

They ended up staying in New York for an entire three days. While spending time together during visiting hours, they completely made amends regarding the fossil incident, and the four of them could officially call each other friends. As they were finally heading back to Canada, Miles specifically asked to sit next to Junior on the plane. Junior was still sore from his rabbit attack, and needed rest. He fell asleep as the plane was taking off. He was eventually woken up when Miles tapped him lightly on the shoulder. "Listen Junior, I really appreciate what you just did for me, I can't thank you enough for saving my life" said Miles. "Well, considering what just happened to me a few days ago, I knew what it was like to have a near death experience, and I didn't want anyone else to go through the same torture" said Junior. "Seeing as how we've put the past behind us, would it be okay if me and Laurie came over and hung out some time?" asked Miles. Junior was hesitant to answer. If they saw the merchandise he had in his room, and found out what he was a big fan of, their new friendship might be over before it even started. He reluctantly wrote down his address on a small card.

Authors note: This is a completely different AU to everybody has feelings. In this universe, the race around the states doesn't happen, the Ridongculous race is a one season show. Certain things that happened in the race around the states, do not happen here. The things that remain consistent are the fact that Junior nearly got killed by a rabbit, and him being a major fan of Denny Hamlin.

I will indeed clarify that I have never taken a CPR class, but I do plan on doing so in the not so distant future. The more people know how to perform it, the more lives we can save.
