What's up everyone? Welcome to arc 5 of Cyber Ranger Guardian Story. We will now be going over all and I mean ALL the cases of Guardian Signs. Now I should point out a few things before we start.

1: These are not going to be in a specific order, just in the order I play through these Quests.

2: These Quest will be taking place through different points of the previous arcs. I'll try to clarify at the beginning of each chapter the specific point of time when they each take place. In the context of this chapter, it takes place during ch 14 of the first arc.

While Murph and the others were interrogating Blue Eyes back at the Union, Ben, Takumi, Ami and Nokia took their patrol back to Cocona Village after that incident with the Graveler. "Wow, this is a nice little village." Nokia said, looking around.

"Oh, right. You haven't been here yet, have you?" Takumi asked. "This is Cocona Village."

Near them a little girl looked at her Pachirisu who was sitting on a barrel. "Pchi…"

Ami noticed the unhappy moan. "Hey, is he alright?"

"My Pachirisu is not feeling well." The girl replied. "It's usually so full of energy, but it's been acting funny like this ever since those suspicious people tried to take it."

"Pokemon Pinchers?" Ben asked.

"Pa…chi…"

"Maybe it's not feeling well because it can't discharge its energy. Or the other way around."

Just then they saw another Pachirisu run through the village. "Hey." Takumi snaped his fingers. "Maybe if we got another Pachirisu, it could help your little guy."

"That's not a bad idea." Ben said.

"Ranger, could you please bring me a Pachirisu?" the girl asked.

"Pachi! Pachi! Pachi!"

"Sure. If Kellyn was here, we'd be done by now, but I guess I'll have to do. Quest on!"

Just then they head a groan in the distance. "What was that?" Ben asked.

"I don't know, but it sounds like someone needs our help." Takumi said. "Ben, go with Nokia and find a Pachirisu for this young girl. Ami and I will check this out."

"Okay. Meet us back here when you're done."

Near the Stone of Time, Takumi and Ami spotted an old man groaning with a hand on his back. Next to him was a Starly. "Ouch…"

"Is something wrong sir?" Takumi asked.

"No, it doesn't hurt. Argh, ouch… Not yet. I'm nothing but a healthy man…"

"Um…You sure?" Ami asked.

The old man sighed. "I can't help acting strong in front of young people, but I'll be honest. My back hurts."

"Man, too bad that doctor just left." Terriermon said.

"Oh, it's the talking Pokemon."

"Digimon."

"Did you do something to it?" Ami asked.

"There's a wood fence in Teakwood Forest. I thought I'd be nice to get rid of it so the Pokemon and villagers could go through the forest. I felt this sharp pain and that's when I hurt my back. Say, you kids were investigating the forest with that Ranger, weren't you? I'd like to ask you a favor. Could you fix that?"

"Um…"

"Nah, I bet you can't fix that. I'll ask the doctor to do that… But can you go to Teakwood Forest and get rid of the wood fence?"

"That we might be able to do something about." Takumi replied.

It didn't take long for Takumi and Ami to find the fence. "There it is." Ami said.

"The Pinchers must have set it up so nobody would follow them. Not that that stopped us." Takumi said.

"Crescent Leaf!" Palmon slashed through the fence with her extended fingers. "Easy peasy!"

"Let's head back." Ami said.

"Did you manage to remove the wood fence in Teakwood Forest?"

"Yup." Takumi nodded.

"You're so great! I should have asked you to take care of it in the first place."

"More importantly, will you be okay sir?"

"Don't worry about my back. Ouch…It'll be okay. So, what are you kids? The Ranger's assistants?"

"No, we're a detective's assistants!" Ami replied. "We're Cyber Sleuths!"

Back with the little girl, Ben brought a wild Pachirisu over to her.

"Pa. Pachi!"

"Pachi! Pachi! Pachi!" the wild Pokemon discharged electricity.

The girl's Pokemon gasped. "Pachi! Pachi! Pachi!" it did the same.

"Yes! My Pachirisu is energized! Thank you! You are so nice, Pachirisu!" The wild Pokemon happily trotted away. "Ranger, thank you so much! I'll keep a eye out for those suspicious people so it won't get scared again!"

"Pachi! Pach!"

"Quest Clear!" Ben posed.

Just then Takumi and Ami returned. "Looks like things worked out huh?" Takumi asked.

"Yup? What were you doing back there?" Nokia asked.

"Oh, some old guy hurt his back trying to move a fence, so we took care of it for him." Ami replied.

Ben noticed Takumi had his goggles on and a monitor in front of him. It looked like he was typing. "What are you doing?"

"Just typing a report to Kyoko."

"Do you have to dot that every time?" Nokia asked.

"Yup. The case isn't officially closed until reported." Ami nodded.

"You mean quest." Ben said.

"You call them what you want, we'll call them what we want."

At the Kuremi Detective Agency, Kyoko was drinking Coffee that Ami brewed for her as she ready the report in her hand. Ami herself was humming as she swept the floor. It was a quiet day.

Just then, Takumi came in with a bag of coffee beans. "I'm back."

"Thanks for running that errand." Kyoko said as she looked up from the paper in her hand.

"Hmm? What are you looking at Kyoko?"

"Oh, just going over the reports you wrote up on your cases in Oblivia. Or "Quests" as Ben and the others preferred to call them."

Ami smiled. "Yeah. We had a lot of those in Oblivia."

"I appreciate you writing up everything, you two. Sorry if it was a pain to do it all again when you already had it on your Digivices."

"Nah, it's fine. It was fun reflecting on everything we did. Besides, it's good for your eyes to take a break from computer screens and monitors in this high-tech age."

"Yeah, especially with our line of work." Takumi added, putting the bag down.

Kyoko nodded. And she smiled at the fact that her assistants named the cases themselves. The file in her hand was titled "The Wireless Tower's Property and a Unique Constructor.".

As they passed by a house Terriermon's ears perked up. "Hmm? Hey, sounds like somebody's in trouble."

"Huh? How do you know?" Agumon asked.

"These ears aren't for show ya know!"

"Where is it?" Palmon asked.

Terriermon pointed to a house on the left. The door was wide open. "There."

"Let's check it out." Ben walked towards it.

"Uh, Ben? Maybe we shouldn't just walk into stranger's houses." Ami said.

Inside an elderly woman looked at a box on her counter in concern. "Oh, no. What should I do…?"

Ben knocked on the opened door. "Hello? Is something wrong?"

The woman turned to him in surprise. "Ranger, you came at just the right time. Our son works at the Wireless Tower on Mt. Latolato."

"Oh, yeah. We've been there before." Nokia said. "Did something happen to him?"

"He forgot to take his lunch."

"Uh, oh. Burkhart must have called him over to help fix the antenna." Ami replied. "He must have heard what happened and hurried off as fast as he could without thinking. Reminds me of someone I know actually."

Nokia glared at her. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

The woman sighed. "I wish I could take it to him, but Mt. Latolato is very steep, and it's not a mountain for the elderly. I don't know if I should rely on you…But could you take this lunch to my careless son?"

"Of course." Ben nodded. He performed his pose before taking the lunchbox.

"You are so kind for being willing to deliver even a lunch box."

"Helping people is what I do ma'am."

"Aww, I was hoping for some action." Terriemon sighed.

"Terriermon, it's important to help people not matter what the task, that's part of our job." Takumi replied.

"Oh? Are you a Ranger too young man?" the woman asked.

"No Ma'am, these two are Cyber Sleuths!" Nokia replied.

"…Cyber what?"

"Anyway." Ben said. "Let's head to the Wireless Tower."

"Well hopefully we don't have to climb it again." Ami muttered.

Up near the wireless tower a man sighed as his stomach grumbled. "Aw man, this sucks."

"Excuse me, sir." Takumi walked up to him.

"Oh! That lunch box! Did you come all the way to deliver that to me, Ranger?"

"Yup. Your mom got worried about her "carless son" and asked us to bring us this."

"What is my mom thinking, asking a Ranger to deliver Lunch…? I didn't mind skipping a lunch or two, really…"

"Well, you shouldn't." Ami said. "It's not healthy to work without eating. You need to keep your blood sugar up."

A growl coming from the man's stomach got their attention. "Ahaha, my stomach is growling. To be honest, I cannot even skip one lunch." The man took the lunchbox. My mom knows me well. Ranger, thank you."

"No problem." Ben preformed hi pose again. "Quest Clear!"

"I can't fight on an empty stomach…We'll I guess I'll have to start eating my mom's lunch." The man sat down. "What's in the lunch box today…?"

Takumi perked his head up. "Hey, did you guys hear something?"

"What, do you have big ears like your partner?" Ami joked.

"Yeah, ha, ha. I'm serious, it sounds like a-

"Pidgey!" A wild Pidgey flew right past the man so fast he spun in place.

"Whao! What in the world is…?" The man looked at his hands that no longer had the lunchbox. "NOOOOOOOO!"

"What just happened?!" Nokia asked.

Ami spotted the Pidgey with the box in it's talons. "There!"

"Pi! Pidgey!"

"That's my lunch! Give it back to me!" The man shouted. The Pokemon flew off.

"It's heading for the tower!" Palmon said.

Desperate, the man turned to Ben. "Ranger! I appreciate you delivering my lunch, but Pidgey just stole it from me! You're the only one who can save my lunch, Ranger!"

"Well, this mission just got a little more interesting!" Terriemron jumped.

"Oh goody." Ami sighed. "We're climbing the tower again."

Ben performed his pose. "Uh, Ben? Now?" Takumi asked.

"Posses are important, it's part of Ranger protocol."

"Why the heck is that a protocol?! You know what, never mind! Let's just go before we lose that bird!"

As the man watched them run for the tower something just clicked to him. "Did that Pokemon with the long ears talk? Am I going crazy from hunger or something?"

A few minutes later and they were on the fourth floor of the tower. "Don't look down, don't look down." Nokia muttered.

"Where is that stupid bird?" Palmon asked as they ran down the cables, making sure not to get shocked.

"There it is!" Ami pointed at the Pidgey who was in front of the lunch box.

The Pokemon turned around and squawked at them. "Pidge!"

"Something tells me he won't give that lunchbox up without a fight." Takumi said.

"Relax Takumi!" Ami smiled. "It's just one tiny bird, we can take him!"

"Pidge! Pidge!" The Pokemon cried out and two more Pidey appeared. One from behind and another from the front.

"You were saying?" Takumi muttered.

"Uh…well…we still outnumber it! Now let's go before this somehow gets even worse!"

"Capture on!" Ben aimed his Styler. "Guys, try to round them up!"

"You got it!" Takumi replied. "Terriermon!"

"Terrier Tornado!" Takumi's Digimon unleashed a tornado that spun into the bird Pokemon one by one, trapping them in it and dazing them. Ben captured them with ease after that.

Once the Pidgey flew off Ben retrieved the lunchbox. "Alright!" Nokia grinned. "Now let's get that lunch back to that guy, he must be starving by now!"

Back at the foot of the tower, Ben's team reunited with the young man. "Come to think of it…" the man said. "I really shouldn't have bothered a Ranger and his friends…It was just a lunch box…Sorry for the trouble."

"There's nothing wrong with asking other for help when you're in trouble." Ami replied. "And FYI, Takumi here and I are called Cyber Sleuths."

"Oh, I see. Does that have something to do with your talking Pokemon?"

"We're Digimon sir." Palmon replied. "But enough of that, you should eat up before something else tries to snatch it up!"

"Good idea! I'll eat up before anything else happens! Thank you, Ranger! And you too, Cyber…uh…Cyber Sleuths!"

Ben posed again. "Quest Clear!"

"Alright, let's see who else we can help." Ami said.

"Actually…" the man said between bites. "One of the workers in the shack looked troubled with something."

"Did he?" Takumi asked. "Let's take a look."

They went inside and a middle-aged man sighed at the end of the room. "Oh boy. This'll take forever."

"Is something the matter?" Ben asked.

"Ah, Ranger! Just when I need you! And you must be those detectives I heard about from Berkhart."

"One of your pals, said you seemed troubled." Ben said.

"That's an understatement. I was going to do some maintenance work on the Wireless Tower when I mistook some Pokemon form maintenance items."

"…I'm sorry, what?" Ami asked. "How in this world did-

"Your faces are saying that's not possible, but these things do happen, you know?"

"No, I don't."

"Come on Ami, don't be rude." Takumi said.

"Working all night can lead to making silly mistakes sometimes."

"Wait what?!" Ami asked. "Well, that explains a lot! First a guy tries to work without eating, now we see a guy who works without sleeping?! Between you two, Rand and Booker, I'm amazed with the work ethic here in Oblivia."

"The damage Raikou did to the Tower must be more serious than we thought. So, what exactly happened?" Ben asked.

"I almost drove a bolt into this Pokémon's head, and that made it real mad. That's how it took all my stuff made of iron, including pliers, a hammer, a screwdriver, screws, nuts, and bolts."

"How the heck did it carry all of that?!" Terriemron asked. "Does this Pokemon have four arms like those Graveler we fought earlier?!"

"Can you tell us more about the Pokemon?" Ben asked.

"It seems like it's made of Iron, but it floats in midair. It's whole body is like a strong magnet."

"Sounds like a Magnimite. There were plenty of those back at the tower."

"How can I do maintenance on the Wireless Tower without my tools? I'm just a guy with nothing to do now. Ranger, please! Bring my tools back."

Ben posed. "We're on the case! Come on guys, back to the tower!"

Ami and Nokia groaned as they followed the boys out. The man stared at the exit as they left and kept his eyes on it. "Did that Pokemon with the long ears talk? Is the lack of sleep getting to me?"

Ami was panting by the time they reached the fifth floor. "So…sick…of stairs…"

"We go up and down stairs all the time at Nakana Broadway." Takumi replied.

"Yes, but the staircases are much smaller, and there's an elevator for when we get tired of it!"

"An elevator, that's what this place needs!" Nokia replied. "Let's ask Berkhart about making one while he's at the repairs!"

"I think fixing the antenna takes precedence over an elevator right now." Ben replied.

"Well, those Magnimite we fought on the way here had nothing." Terriemon said. "And we're almost at the top. You don't think they took the tools somewhere else, do you?"

"I hope not." Takumi sighed. "We'll never find them if that's the case."

"Help me! Someone please help me!"

A voice startled them to a stop. "Did you guys hear that?" Nokia asked.

"Come on!" Ben sprinted ahead.

They stopped when they spotted a small, floating Pokemon with a red eye. It was ramming into something angerly. It looked like some kind of bulldozer with a head. "Huh? What's that?" Ami asked.

"Is that a Beldum?" Ben asked. "But what's it ramming it's head into? Never seen a Pokemon like that before. …Wait, could it be a Digimon?"

Takumi put on his Digivice. "Yup. Kenkimon. A Champion Level Armor Digimon. Data Type. It Armor-Digivolved with the Digi-Egg of Friendship, it's a heavy machine that can complete any construction work."

"Guys, look at the Pokemon!" Palmon said. The Beldum had, a hammer, pliers, a screwdriver, nuts, bolts, and screws stuck to it.

"So, it was Beldum who took the parts, not a Magnimite!" Ben said.

"Never mind that, it's attacking that poor Digimon!" Nokia said. "We gotta stop it!"

The Pokemon turned around and spotted them. "Belll…!" It charged right at them.

Takumi, Ami, and Nokia hurried out of the way. At the last second, Ben jumped, and landed his foot on it, before taking a leap and foot stooled it to the floor. "Pichu!"

"PI!" Pichu zapped it, paralyzing the Pokemon, so Ben could go for the Capture, but it got up and rammed the line.

Ben rolled as he landed on the floor. "He's tough."

"I got this! Posion Ivy!" Palmon wrapped her ivy like finger around the Pokemon trapping it.

"Got you this time!" Ben said finishing the capture.

All of the objects stuck to Beldum dropped in a clutter. As the Beldum left Ben's Styler spoke. "Thanks to Beldum weakening it's magnetic field, all the metal objects attached to it's body have fallen to the floor."

"That's the end of that." Takumi then turned to the Digimon. "Are you okay there?"

Kenkimon slowly rolled it's wheels over to them. "Thank you! I'm fine now thanks to you people. Man, if it weren't for the nails stuck to that thing, it probably wouldn't have hurt so much…"

"Why was that Beldum attacking you?" Ben asked.

"Well, when I woke up on this strange island, I was attacked by these strangers on some kind of flying vehicles. So, I ran here to hide."

"The Pokemon Pinchers?"

"But then that little thing saw me and just started whacking me out of nowhere! I wasn't sure what to do."

"Maybe it mistook you for a piece of construction equipment and attacked you out of spite for what happened to it earlier." Ami suggested.

"Well, you should come with us." Takumi said. "The tower was attacked by those jerks earlier and everyone is working hard to fix it."

"Really?" Kenkimon asked. "Hey…do you…do you think they'll let me help?"

"Huh?"

"I live for construction and stuff like that! That's part of what compelled me to come here. I know must humans might be scared of me, but…if I find a place where I'm accepted, maybe I'll be more comfortable around them."

"Hmmm…Ben, what do you think?"

"We can ask Berkhart about it. After we get this stuff back to our client."

"I can carry it for you." Kenkimon scooped up the parts in his shovel. It's the least I can do for you."

"Thanks, big guy." Ben smiled.

"Any chance you can carry me too?" Ami asked. "I'm reeeealy getting tiered of those stairs."

"Oh, don't be such a whinner." Takumi rolled his eyes.

Back inside the shack, the man looked up as Ben and the others came back carrying the items they retrieved. "Oh, my tools! You saved me. Thank you!"

"Don't just thank us." Ben said. "Come outside for a second." They all came out of the shack. Kenkimon was waiting for them. "This guy carried them back here for us."

"Hello."

"Wh-what is that?! A talking Pokemon?!"

"It's a Digimon, like me." Terriermon replied. "It came from another world."

"He wants to help with the repairs." Ami replied. "Think you can let him work with you?"

"This is…unusual…" the man muttered. "Well, we should as Berkhart about it…" The man held up something strange. "By the way, what is this? This isn't one of my tools…"

Burkhart walked over to them. "Hey, you. Stop slacking off and finish your job already. Hey, when did we get a bulldozer?"

"I wasn't slacking off, Burkhart!"

"He's right." Ben said. "A Beldum took his tools, there was nothing he could do."

"Anyway, you're timing couldn't be better." Takumi said. "This is a lost Digimon named Kenkimon. He said he wants to help with repairing the tower."

"A Digimon?" Berkhart looked at it. "Like yours? Huh, come to think of it, the boys mentioned seeing a strange vehicle on the tower…So you want to help out, huh?"

"Yes please!" the Digimon nodded. "I'll do anything! Construction, destruction, repairs, lifting, that kind of stuff is what I live for!"

"Ha, ha! Aren't you enthusiastic! Well, we could use the extra hands, and the Cyber Sleuths here proved that you Digimon can be quite helpfully. Alright, welcome to the crew."

"WOHOOO!" The Digimon spun in place happily. "Thank you so much! Just tell me what to do!"

Everyone smiled. The man turned back to Berkhart. "I have something to show you by the way. I think this is one of someone else's tools. Do you have any idea, Burkhart?"

Burkhart's eyes widened as he retrieved it. "Hey! That's my buckle! No wonder my pants kept falling down." Everyone laughed as he reattached it to his belt. "Ha, ha, ha, this is embarrassing."

The man smiled at the new member of the crew. "Shall we buckle down on the maintenance work on the Wireless Tower?"

"Right! I'm ready for anything!"

The man turned back to Ben. "Ranger, Detectives, thank you for taking the time to help me."

"Yes, thank you all!" Kenkimon said. "To be honest, I was a bit worried at first, but you humans are really nice!"

"I'm glad we could help you." Takumi smiled.

"Quest Clear!" Ben said with a pose.

As Kenkimon left with the man and Berkhart, Nokia turned to her Digimon. "Hey Agumon, Gabumon, you two sure have been quiet during all this. Is something wrong?"

"Thinking about that one guys lunch made me hungry." Agumon sighed.

"Me too." Gabumon muttered.

"Oh…Uh…"

"Let's stop by Rand's house on the way back." Ben said. "Then we should go see if Murph and the others have made any process with Blue Eyes."

"Good idea." Takumi nodded.

As they left Nokia whispered to him. "I hope his pantry is full, you've seen how much those two can pack away."

"Yeah…And wait until we get Yuuko back…"

Kyoko laughed as she finished reading. "That Kenkimon was quite something. He didn't even ask to be paid or anything. He just wanted to work."

"I'm just glad Berkhart and the others weren't too put off by his appearance." Takumi said.

His Digivice beeped and displayed an image of Terriemron who it was currently inside of. "Yeah! And they all treated him like he was a part of the crew rather then a piece of equipment!"

"People and Digimon coming to work together." Ami smiled. "I sure hope our world can be like that someday."

Kyoko smiled. "I'm sure it will."
