Summary: My Hero Academia SI. Tekking101 would be weeping tears of blood right now, Taifun is the farthest thing from a hot Isekai fairy that you can get. Still, being granted Photokinetic abilities is nice. The 'Training Tube' he stuck me in dropping me into a world that has the male human listed as an Endangered Species, not so much. Character Crossovers whose abilities I feel can translate to Quirks well.

1. Unplanned Traveling

Story Start: In The Space Between Spaces

Sometimes I rather hate my life. Some drunk redneck decided it would be fun to fire off his boom stick in my store earlier today. I managed to catch him by surprise by hiding behind the baler in the back room when he passed by, then made him drop the shotgun by slicing into his wrist with my box cutter. As he dropped the gun, I kicked his leg out by the knee then slammed his head into the baler door, knocking him senseless. The police found me straddling the guy's back with his arms held bent back and up held by one hand while my other kept his head pushed into the concrete floor (Sideways so that way he could at least breath alright).

Needless to say, the store was closed for the rest of the day but it still took TWO HOURS for the cops to finally release me to go home, they had confiscated my box cutter for evidence, and I was told to expect a court summons to testify. Great, I HATE wearing a tie.

I WISH that had been the end of my day. But the moment I flopped down on the sofa in the family room face down to just decompress, I heard a voice say "Well now, that excitement earlier today was certainly different from when I check in on one of you Tacs."

Opening my eyes showed not me lying on the couch in the family room but me standing in a white void with Dwayne Johnson of all people standing in front of me and smirking. At least the guy had a shirt on instead of just his wrestling 'outfit'.

"Do what now?" I asked in complete confusion. The gears in my brain finally managed to regain their rhythm again and I looked around as I said "Wait, Sudden change of scenery to a featureless place, An actor who I'd most likely never meet in a million years speaking of having witnessed what happened earlier and mention of plural 'mes'." I face palmed hard enough for the smacking sound to ring out in the void and I said "Primus and Unicron damn it, this is an Isekai event isn't it?"

"Indeed it is!" The being wearing the Rock's face said, practically chirping his response.

I gave it a flat look and said "Tekking101 said that the Isekai Fairy is supposed to be hot. I'm afraid you got your information wrong since I am most definitely NOT bisexual or gay."

The being scoffed in amusement and said "Oh please, I am FAAR more powerful than some mere fairy. But I'm in a good mood after the show you showed so I believe I shall indulge your vision." The figure shimmered and where Dwayne had been now stood a tall blonde woman whose hair fell to her lower back except for a single braid wrapped around the back of her head with piercing blue eyes and pointed ears. She wore a gold-trimmed top that resembled a blue crop top with flared sleeves and a matching mini-mini skirt over a white long-sleeved shirt with a turtleneck collar, a pair of dark brown fingerless gloves, a matching pair of pants tucked into lightly-armored brown boots, a wide brown belt with intricate detailing, and a rectangular device hanging from the belt near her hip. I instantly recognized her as an aged up Princess Zelda from the Breath of the Wild game.

Giving me a smirk, the figure put a fist on her hip and cocked it as she asked "Is this better?"

Despite myself, I let out a short 'Heh' of amusement and gave 'her' a thumb's up as I said "Much better, though I also realize that I don't actually know who or what to call you."

"While I have more than a couple of names, the one I go by when dealing with versions of you is Taifun." the now named being said.

"Taifun...hm. Well, if I'm remembering the Czech I learned from Dr. Radek Zelenka right, that's Typhoon." I mused before I blinked and said "Hold on, 'versions'? Just how many 'mes' have you done this with?"

Taifun looked upwards in thought and said in a musing tone "Oh let me see, you'll be the... oh, one hundred and twelfth something I've transplanted so far."

"Dafraq?!" I asked with wide eyes.

Taifun looked back down at me with a smirk and said "Almost all versions of you are VERY good at both adapting to new situations and providing prime time entertainment for me to watch, and yes, I AM watching all of them at this moment. Comes with being a Random Omnipotent Being." Her smirk then turned into an evil grin that had absolutely NO right being on a Zelda's face and said "I'm particularly fond of the version of you that bound and gagged Happosai with women's lingerie, then drop-kicked him into an active volcano."

I did a spit take then let out a loud laugh and asked "How the hell did he pull THAT off?!"

Taifun grinned and said "He got together with Ranma, bought about thirty unmentionables, had Ranma and the Amazons pour their ki into them before placing them on top of a net trap, then wrapped the resulting ball in duck tape, as well as putting a strip over his mouth, before hauling him to the volcano and punting him in. Nabiki sold tickets to watch."

I cackled for a good five minutes at the mental picture Taifun's words gave me. When I finally calmed down, I asked "Alright, I'm good. So! Where are you taking ME specifically?"

"Weeeellll," Taifun drawled with a grin, "Given your act of heroism earlier today, I thought it would be fitting to drop you into a World of Heroes."

I blinked and asked "Overwatch?"

Taifun laughed in a worrying manner and said to themselves "Overwatch he says, oh this is going to be even more fun to watch than I thought!" Chuckling some more and shaking 'her' head, Taifun said "No, you my hero in the making are going to a My Hero Academia universe, though this one has a few 'tweaks' to the original."

I eyed Taifun warily and asked "I'm going to want to bang my head against something when I get to this 'tweaked' world aren't I?"

"Oh Absolutely!" Taifun said with a grin that actually reached Cheshire Cat proportions which just looked WRONG on Zelda's face.

I gave a deep sigh then looked up in thought and said "My Hero Academia huh? Don't know much about that series. I just know that it's about a high school for training Heroes and that it's considered as up there with the Anime Big 3. Oh, and pretty much everyone there has some kind of 'mutant power'."

"Funny you should say Big 3 given the school's got a set of students called that." Taifun mused before they continued "But one of the tweaks is that the school is actually college level, closes the age gap between you and the students a bit you see."

I blinked and said flatly "You did NOT just tell me I'm going back to school. I HATED College classes!"

Taifun waved their right hand in a dismissive manner and said "Oh, you'll be FINE, you big wuss. Besides, there isn't even any guarantee that you will be going to the school anyway. I just thought that it would be better that you were inserted in a world where you wouldn't feel like an old man if you interacted with the main characters."

I gave him another wary look then sighed again and said "Alright, fine. So, since you're sending me to a world with powered individuals I have to ask, are you sending me as a normy or do I get something to level the playing field?"

"Well since I can't have my entertainment be killed by some thug with a superpower you will be getting an ability, one I think you'll quite enjoy having and that I will DEFINETLY enjoy watching the chaos produce. After all, can you imagine the chaos a thirty year old with no known history appearing with an Omega class ability can cause?!" Taifun stated then let out a cackle of glee that sent a shiver down my spine. When they had it out of their system, they continued "You shall be given the ability Photokinesis. Basically, while you will not be able to generate your own light, you CAN control the light around you in a variety of ways. Better stock up on flashlights when you arrive."

"Them and road flares." I muttered as I considered the ability. Being able to make constructs out of light like a member of the Green Lantern Corps would certainly be useful, though it would definitely take practice to make anything complicated.

"Once I adjust a few things in your body to enable the use of your new ability I'll stick you in a 'tutorial' so you know what you're actually doing. But first, I think you're going to need this." Taifun said before they reached over and tapped my forehead with right pointer and middle fingers.

I winced as information I didn't have before was suddenly in my brain. Absently rubbing away the light headache I got, Taifun stated "Use that for your explanation to anyone asking about your origins. Tell NO ONE about what has really happened. You WILL be either thrown into prison on suspicion of being an agent of Villainy by the Heroes or turned into a lab experiment by the Villains if anybody finds out your abilities were obtained the way they are."

If nothing else, the look of sheer fact and 'listen and obey' Taifun put on Zelda's face would have had me giving my promise, but even being as ignorant as the series as I was I knew that some people did NOT have limits to either paranoia or what they would do to pursue 'profitable' knowledge.

Once Taifun was sure that their new source of entertainment wouldn't spill the beans, they said "Now for the fun part, this might tingle for a bit."

With that, they once again put pointer and middle finger on my forehead, but also placed the two fingers on their other hand over my heart. Blue light shone from where the fingers touched, the light rapidly expanding to cover my body and I gritted my teeth as I felt the R.O.B.'s energy permeate my body, changing it on a cellular level.

When Taifun pulled his fingers away, I dropped to my knees gasping a little. The blue light faded away over the next ten seconds even as Taifun said "There we go, one human body modified to be able to manipulate light. We only have one thing to go over then I'll be sending you on your way."

Once I was back on my feet, Taifun made gesture with their right hand and a tunnel of darkness appeared on their right, a rather abrupt anomaly in the previously all white void that we were in. Nodding to it, Taifun stated "That portal shall lead to the world I am sending you to. However, it shall not be an instant portal. Like I said before, you shall be given a 'tutorial'. The tunnel is split into sections, sections that hold opponents or challenges, with each section becoming progressively darker and having more opponents or tougher challenges in them. There are 'recharge' stations after every three or so sections where you can collect light but the chambers are only about the size of a standard walk in closet so do not think that you can use your ammunition without impunity as you progress. Endeavor to do more with less. Do you understand?" At my nod, Taifun gave a grandiose gesture and said "Then go, give the Villains of the world hell, the rest of the population something to sit up and notice, and always remember, even on the darkest night, there is still some light. You just have to find it."

I gave them a nod and stepped to the portal. But before I entered, I looked back over my shoulder and asked "Will I ever see you again?"

Taifun hummed and said "I usually send notes once you Tacs are in your new worlds if I have any challenges for you or making deals for those around you, but I've occasionally shown up when I feel it requires a more personal touch." Taifun then regained that concerning grin from before and said "Tell you what, make the Top 10 of the Hero charts and I'll drop off an Eon for you."

"A what?" I asked in confusion.

Taifun's grin somehow got even bigger as they said "Sorry, SPOILERS!" A second later they disappeared.

"The hell is an Eon?" I asked to myself with furrowed brows before I shrugged my shoulders with a sigh and stepped through the portal. On the other side was a long hallway that was about twenty feet wide and two hundred feet long with bright lights set into floor to ceiling rows on either side, broken up by five feet sections of darkness every twenty feet.

I took a single step away from the portal only to be brought up short as a window of text appeared before me. Reading out loud, I said "Welcome to Tutorial Tunnel. Here you will learn abilities that shall help you to not only NOT die, but make OTHERS die in your place! Isn't that just grand? And in light of that (See what I did there?) Here is your first 'lesson', Photokinetic Regeneration, simply place the disc on your forehead and let it do all the rest!"

There was a disc hanging by a thread of light from the sign and after a moment of looking at it, I shrugged and grabbed the disc, placing it to my head. A moment later, I knew how to draw light into my body in order to heal myself. Testing it out on my left hip, I let out a sigh of relief as the low level but constant ache in it disappeared.

A moment later, the window of text shimmered and I read "Now that you're unlikely to die from any booboos you get, let's get to the fun bit of combat training! Use the light around you to form a weapon and make your way to the other side of this section. Picture the photons compacting in one area to form your weapon and then locking into that configuration. Just be quick about it, because the enemies are already coming!"

Sure enough, what looked like the Shadow Heartless from the Kingdom Hearts games began coming out of the sections of darkness in the hallway (one per darkness section), only they were slightly bigger than me. The wall over the doorway at the end of the hallway suddenly gained a picture of the Shadows, with a set of twenty tally marks beside it. The barrier in front of the doorway made it clear that I would have to kill all twenty of the Shadows to be allowed through.

"Oh boy." I muttered before I concentrated on forming a weapon. Taking inspiration from the form Taifun had taken, I soon had the light surrounding me condensed into a completely white version of the Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda series, if one without the fine details of the original sword (It was my first time, so sue me). A few seconds later, the first two Shadows reached my position and the one on the right did its best to scratch me with the long claws on its right hand. I sidestepped the swing and swung my blade up in an effort to cut off the right arm at the elbow. The light found resistance when it hit the darkness of the Shadow but I had still made my sword sharp enough to cut the limb off. The Shadow started screaming bloody murder until I decapitated it only to have to leap back as the second Shadow tried to slash me as I was busy with its fellow. I ran that one through the torso with my blade right where the heart would be on a human and the pair burst apart into black smoke.

Black smoke which the next Shadow came leaping out of with a warbling war cry that for some reason put to mind a cartoon Celt war cry. Strange war cry or not, I still managed to stab him in the middle of the eyes. Yanking my sword out through the side of its head even as I moved around it, I leapt at the fourth Shadow with a full powered overhead swing, mentally willing my blade to be even sharper and letting out a cheer when I actually managed to slice the Shadow in half from head to groin.

I managed to take out the other sixteen Shadows without taking TOO much damage (The eighteenth managed to get a lucky scratch on my right arm while I was busy pulling my sword out of the seventeenth) I idly used Light Regeneration on the three long but shallow lines of red on my forearm, mentally grateful that it was summer back home and thus NOT long sleeve weather. As the wounds closed, there was another window in front of the doorway.

"Congrats on clearing the first section. As you continue further, your objectives for clearing each section shall change. Some shall be Lifeforce Gates like this one, a couple will be obstacle courses, others will require pushing unlocking panels (sometimes hitting multiple panels under a time limit), and some will be puzzles that need to be solved. Before we get to that though, we have a onetime offer! A SECOND technique! Enjoy using Light Defense!

I took the disc hanging from the window and when I put it to my head I immediately learned the best way to condense photons into walls and armor so that way they wouldn't be punched through like wet tissue paper (Well, unless someone was Hulk like strong but HOPEFULLY I wouldn't have to fight one of those anytime soon...aaaand I just jinxed myself didn't I?)

Once I had the minor headache from learning several different 'shield matrixes' all at once, I walked through the room only to blink at the sight of a massive chamber that had to be at least a football field wide and so tall I couldn't actually see the top. (Though that probably had to do with all of the hundreds of randomly moving various sized blocks of obsidian that were constantly moving in random directions above me.)

Yet again, a window appeared in front of me that said "Welcome to Photokinetic Surfing Training! Here you will learn how to use Light to augment your maneuverability. From creating pillars of light to lift you up to surfing on a disc of photons like Static Shock on his trash can lid, if you can think it, it's most likely possible. Have fun!"

"Huh, well, this should be fun." I mused as I used the disc. The next moment, I was creating a light pillar to reach a block that was slowly rotating in place in order to better work out what route I should take. On a related note, it turned out that this section was ten miles tall and would take me roughly three hours to reach the top. Mainly because I had to occasionally backtrack when the path I took wound up turning into a dead end.

Once I reached the top, I slumped against the wall next to the exit and muttered "Forget the Labyrinth, that was the WORST maze I've ever encountered, by any definition of the word." Seriously, at least Sarah's run had mostly been TWO dimensional. (Falling down that hole filled with hands not withstanding) Some of the tunnels the shifting blocks had made had loops going in five different arcs, and a few of them hadn't even allowed me to go further up the course meaning I had to go BACK the way I had come.

Glancing down at my chest where my shirt was pooling a little on the ground, I mused to myself "At least all of the energy I'm spending manipulating the light to allow me to move around and follow me through the tunnels so that I can see has been helping me slim down."

I had STARTED this day weighing Three Hundred And Twenty pounds or so. By my estimate I had already lost at LEAST fifteen pounds of stored body fat. If I was lucky, I'd get back down to the Two Hundred And Eighty pounds that I considered 'healthy' for my body type or maybe even lower.

Giving a sigh then heaving myself back to my feet, I said "Well, I won't be losing ANY weight just lying around." And with that, I went through the exit to begin the next test. Well, after passing through the first Rest Station within a minute anyways, though the bottle of water that was in there was appreciated.

Time Skip: Twenty Three And A Half Hours After Beginning Tutorial

I was sipping the water provided by the last Rest Station contently, just resting before the last push to leave this demented tunnel. How did I know that the next section was the last one? Well, the Window for the last section called it the second to last. That and the literal writing on the wall across from me. As I drank my water I considered all of the Abilities I had learned and the varied tests that went with them. *Not Actual Order, grouped by similar abilities*

On top of Photokinetic Regeneration to heal myself, I also got Light Healing for others. And boy, was THAT section worth a few nightmares. I was dropped into a war zone where I was the only medic my side had and I had to heal thirty people with various injuries before I could move on. And unfortunately, the other side wasn't willing to let me to work unhindered. The number of patients killed by sniper rounds through the head when I didn't have a wall or enough light to make a shield for cover to hide behind while healing my patient did NOT bear thinking about.

Speaking of areas with heavy fighting, along with Light Defense, I now also had Photokinetic Combat, which allowed me to infuse my limbs with photons making me MUCH faster. It had been EXTREMELY satisfying when I had replicated Kizaru's fight with Hawkins during the Saobody arc of One Piece and kicked an enemy in the head so fast they made a hole through five buildings in the section that part took place.

Next up were Color Manipulation and Photokinetic Invisibility, these two Abilities coming one after another.

As the name suggests, Color Manipulation allowed me to change the wavelengths, and thus colors of photons. The test for this one had been extremely tedious since I had to make not only various panels different colors, but I also had to make beams of light different colors as well, and I had to keep ALL of them at said colors as I worked through the test. Still, that headache had NOTHING on Photokinetic Invisibility's test.

The section for Photokinetic Invisibility's test was one mile long and filled with nooks, crannies, and tunnels of darkness. Oh, and a LOT of guards, both patrolling and stationary. I had to slip past the guards and reach the end to move on, but if I was detected, I was moved right back to the beginning and had to start over. And while I COULD turn invisible where there was light, the guards could still hear me if I wasn't quiet enough and I couldn't bring any light into the dark parts or it would immediately alert the guards. It took me a quite some time to make it through that test after numerous resets.

Then there was Light Aura. Oh boy, was this one a pain to test out of. The Ability itself was great. Upon activation, photons in an area were drawn and condensed one to five feet around me. This was done automatically until I turned the ability off. The problem was that the test took place in a twenty foot long hallway filled with shapes over all of the walls, ceiling, and floor, and to pass I had to make light constructs that matched the patterns on said surfaces. Thankfully, once I had completed a wall then the patterns would turn green and I could move to the next surface but having to constantly use Light Aura to pull the light back to me then move the gathered light into new shapes was rather tedious.

Light Transmutation's name in my opinion should be changed to FUBAR ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT. This Ability was EXHAUSTING! Turning any kind of Matter into Photons sounded awesome, but turning the ten foot tall cube of Tungsten for the Ability's test had me snoozing for a straight two hours in the Rest Station after it.

The Ability from the second to last section was Light Warp, and its test was just as challenging if not more so for the test I did in learning Photokinetic Surfing. Light Warp did as the name suggested: it let me warp to sources of light that were in my line of sight. That would make travel at night time extremely quick if I could get high enough. Unfortunately, the way the test was set up prevented me from just zipping on through: Lightbulbs that had walls around them that limited which lights I could see at any point of the test, with the second half of the test requiring me to move completely vertically rather than the horizontally with some vertical motion that the first half required. And I had had to move backwards occasionally when I ran out of light sources to jump to, sometimes requiring up to ten jumps back along the path I had taken to find the right 'path' again. Still, when I had reached the top the view was fantastic, looking like I was in deep space looking down upon a sea of stars.

Finishing my bottle of water, I capped it and threw it into the provided recycling chute (Though who knew what actually happened to the bottles when I finished them) then stood up and reread the sign.

"Congratulations on making it this far. You have only one last section to complete then you will have arrived to your destination. There's only one ittsy bitsy teeny weeny problem, or rather two. For starters, the next section is completely dark outside of a very low red light outlining the exit. The only light you will have access to is what you bring with you from this rest station. (And Light Warp is cut off in that room so don't bother trying it) The second problem is that there are a LOT of enemies in between you and the exit that is three miles away, some rather large. And unlike in some of the previous tests, if you get taken out, there are no do overs. Also unlike the other sections, your newest ability won't actually be all that useful for these particular circumstances. Your best, and possibly ONLY chance to make it to the exit is to make a run for it and avoid getting bogged down with fights. Good luck."

"Well, that's not ominous at all." I said chipperly before I took the disk off of the peg it was hanging on under the words. Putting the disc to my forehead, I allowed the small headache that came from having information sent directly to my brain pass and as the disc shimmered away grinned and said "Light Clones huh? Independent action, ability to use all of my other abilities, able to body shift given they're made completely of light, AND a memory transfer when they dispel? Oh yeah, I'm going to have fun with that one when I get out of here. But first..."

I activated Light Aura, condensing all of the light in the small rest station to hang around me. I then used Color Manipulation to steadily darken the light to hopefully keep the baddies outside from immediately noticing me. (I was NOT stupid enough to go out there covered in bright light that was pretty much hanging a sign around my neck that said "Here I am, EAT ME!") Finally, I used Photokinetic Surfing to solidify a disc of darkened light under my feet for increased maneuverability.

I counted to five then shot out of the rest station. I was going to exit this damn nut house of a tutorial area then I was going to find the nearest burger joint and buy THREE meals worth of food. I was the thinnest I had ever been in a decade and I hadn't eaten a single thing in just over a day, I was HUNGRY DAMNIT!

Scene Change: Sky Over Tokyo, An MHA Universe, High Noon

Hawks idly flapped her large red wings even as her normally lazy gaze remained focused on the massive five city block wide portal of Darkness hanging three miles over the tallest buildings. Spread out around her position two miles under said portal were a number of other flight capable Pro Heroes and there were even more Pro heroes on the roof tops of the buildings below them.

An hour ago, the portal had rapidly formed for no apparent reason. (No villains giving a monologue about how they were a badass that would destroy any Hero who dared cross them, no poor kid whose quirk was going berserk and they couldn't stop it, etc.) Just one moment, relatively clear skies with a few clouds then the next instant, BOOM, big ass portal hanging in the sky.

On site Pros had quickly began evacuating all civilians in the area underneath the portal but other than seeming to pulse a little every five minutes, nothing seemed to be happening with the portal. And while that made several of the newbie Heroes begin losing their focus, it just made the more veteran Pros even more tense as the imagined shoe hanging over them in their minds just kept getting bigger and bigger. After all, a portal that big couldn't POSSIBLY be a natural phenomenon right? It had to have been made for a reason, right?

What was probably even more concerning was that no one had found the other end of the portal. They had had PLENTY of time to register its energy signature and pretty much every Government of the world with access to satellites and other ways of detecting energy signatures were scrambling to find where this portal led from but so far nothing.

Hawks had arrived thirty minutes after the portal had formed, having been called in by the Hero Commission. She had made pretty good time all things considered given that she had been in Kyoto when the call came in. And she wasn't the only Hero who had come running either, at least six of the Heroes in the air with her weren't considered 'locals' and Hawks had gotten a report from the Boss Lady that several Speedsters had come into town as well from where they were normally based in order to provide backup as well. If she looked down and squinted, she could actually see the shiny silver of Ingenium's armor down there. That was a pretty big IF though since the only time she looked down was when she got a report over the coms of a new Hero joining the rest in watching the portal, and only then if they were names to take notice in the first place, such as Ingenium.

"Another idiot just tried to bring their helicopter into the no fly zone." A voice said in frustration.

"Damn Media Idiots. What are they going to do if a bunch of alien fighter jets come out of this thing and start firing missiles at them?" Another voice grumbled.

"You've been watching too much Sci-Fi mate." Yet another voice practically chirped over the coms.

"We've got a giant ass portal hanging over our heads that has been open for the last hour with who knows what making their way towards this end, I think my Sci-Fi hobby is incredibly relevant, thank you very much!" The second voice shot back.

Hawks chuckled even as a fourth voice barked out "Keep the coms clear Heroes!"

Seriously though, all of the news reporters that had swarmed this area were being idiots. It was all well and good for them to be down in the streets or even on the rooftops given how high up the portal was. Anything coming through most likely wouldn't reach that low before they had time to get to cover. But the news helicopters which were either flying or hovering around the same level as the flying Pro Heroes just about a hundred feet out from under the rim of the portal were NOT thinking of their safety. Honestly, one idiot had already tried to actually go up to a hundred feet shy of the portal in order to try and figure out if being closer would allow them to see into it.

Hawks was drawn from his musings when the Portal pulsed again. However unlike before, this pulse wasn't outwards, but INWARDS. And immediately after, a blot of Darkness shot downwards and a cry was heard as the blot shouted out "FINALLY!"

As the blot shot down, the dark light rapidly turned lighter until it was a bright white. Hawks was immediately flying upwards and as the blot stopped a mile below the portal, she saw what looked like a human in the middle of the blot of light.

But just as she was growing level with the blot, The portal pulsed again, this time quite violently as two massive hands made out of darkness reached on either side of the portal, followed by a massive head in the center that had multiple strands of 'hair' floating from the back and two giant yellow eyes glowing with menace. The mouth seemed to open (The chin was moving while the top remained in place) and the figure let out a loud but low roar which rattled the windows of the buildings down below and set off the car alarms for ten city blocks.

The figure in the blot of light surprised Hawks as it actually started cackling of all things than shouted up at the monster above them in English "OH, YOU DONE FUCKED NOW YOU BASTARD! NOW THAT I'M IN DAYLIGHT, THE RULES OF NATURE JUST CHANGED!"

There was a soft beeping sound from the blot and a softer voice said "Playing Rules of Nature at the marked starting point."

The figure jerked its head down to where Hawks assumed their pants pocket was even as she blinked at what was just said. But then as the music began playing the figure seemed to shrug and threw its arms to the side at a downwards forty five degree angle, hands splayed out.

A predator on the verge of death

Streams of light shot inwards, beginning to form two massive orbs of light on either side of the blot.

Getting close to its last breath

The orbs rapidly grew to twenty feet each, then stopped growing even though the streams of light kept pouring into them.

RULES OF NATURE!

The figure inside of the blot of light shot their arms upward, hands now held tight into fists and the tops of the spheres erupted into pillars which slammed into the shoulders of the massive beast which had continued to pull itself out of the portal. The beast ROARED in pain as it was slowly pushed back even as the pillars were continually fed more light.

And they run when the sun comes up

With their lives on the line

(Alive!) For a while

(No Choice!) Out here only the strong survive!

The streams of light were getting BIGGER as the figure inside the blot of the light seemed to tense their elbows then snap their arms straight again, the twin pillars of light impossibly getting even BRIGHTER and seeming to flow even faster, electing another roar from the massive beast overhead.

What's done is done, survived to see another day

The dance of life, the hunter and the agile prey

No guarantee, which of them will succeed

Strong or weak

The monster was now almost completely shoved back into the portal, only its fingertips desperately holding onto the edges.

Ahhhhhhh!

Rules of nature

RULES OF NATURE!

The fingertips lost their grip on the edge and the portal immediately snapped shut. The pillars of light continued to shoot upwards for a few seconds before they were rapidly cut off and the orbs around the blot quickly dissipated. Hawks saw the figure inside drop to a knee and its torso moved in a way that suggested whoever was inside was doing their best to get their breath back.

Then there was a chuckle and the figure said, again in English "I really MUST be in an anime world if THAT just happened." Even more laughter followed.

Hawks blinked again at that then flew closer before she cleared her throat and called out (In English since that seemed to be the person's natural language) "Care to explain what that's supposed to mean, and just where you've come from stranger? Also, can you do something about the light surrounding you?"

The figure's head turned towards Hawks then they got to their feet. The light surrounding them dispersed and Hawks blinked in shock at seeing a MALE of all things standing before her even as her mind took in details: Six feet tall, short blonde hair, blue eyes, REALLY slim torso in the way that said they could really use a good meal or three, but the muscles she could see stated that the man was used to work that required relatively heavy lifting. Said muscles were visible due to the fact that the stranger was wearing dark green cargo shorts and a light blue cargo short sleeved shirt, both of which seemed to be at least two sizes two big. (The belt was pulled through the very last hole to keep the pants up.)

The Man glanced around and suddenly shivered as a strong gust of wind blew past them. (They were still over two miles above ground after all.) The light around the Male quickly condensed into a light jacket, the blue light turning a dark green and the man slipped the light construct onto his arms, lightly tugging the opening of the jacket taught then down in a seeming unconscious act to make the jacket settle on his frame properly.

The Male then gave Hawks a sheepish smile and said "Hey, I hate to ask this, but what country am I in?"

"Japan." Hawks answered, again using the English word for the man who hadn't spoken in another language yet.

"Huh. Well, that should make things interesting given that my Japanese is choppy at best and comes from watching Anime with Subtitles." The Man said, idly rubbing the back of his head before flipping the hood of his jacket up and pulling the top so that the top half of his face was hidden in shadow. (And how did that work when the jacket was made of LIGHT?)

The Man proceeded to look around and down, muttering lowly to himself. Hawkes barely caught the words 'Asshole', 'Dark Corridor', and 'Surfing'. She raised an eyebrow then cleared her throat again regaining the Man's attention as she said "Sorry to be a bother sir, but you didn't answer my questions, and I would really like answers to said questions."

"Right, sorry about that." The Man muttered before he stepped off of the disc of light he was on, actually walking on air over to where Hawks was hovering in the air. Hawkes noticed that as he walked the twenty feet seperating them that there were little platforms of light where his shoes 'touched down'. Stopping a few feet away from Hawks, the platforms under his shoes expanded until they were standing on a disc big enough for Hawks to comfortably stand as well. Hawks cautiously tested the platform then allowed herself to settle on it as the Man said "In order, I called this place an Anime world because our surroundings look like an anime would and not what I would consider 'Live Action' in my world. And the way I got here was because some asshole with Umbrakinesis took offense that I was kicking his ass with his power's Opposite and so sent me through what looked like a Corridor of Darkness from the Kingdom Hearts game, cackling about how I would never get home again." The Man then blinked and asked "Um, you do know what Kingdom Hearts is right?"

"Yeah, but that's an OLD series, as in couple of centuries old." Hawks said with a smirk before she cocked her head and asked "And I probably should have asked this before, but got a name I can call you?"

"Matthew, though I also go my Matt, or Tac, which is part of my penname when writing Fanfiction." 'Matthew' said with a shrug before raising an eyebrow and asked "And you are?"

"Call me Hawks." Hawks said before she raised her left hand up and made a 'back away' gesture. Matthew looked over his shoulder and watched as the Pro Heroes that had been drawing closer from behind him moved away, looking like they had been caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Well, their body language did at least. Most of them had at least goggles covering their eyes and others had helmets covering their whole heads after all. Sensible given that they were all flyers.

Matthew looked back and Hawks got the feeling that they had blinked under the hood of their jacket and asked "Was that a 'Don't interrupt first contact' or a 'Dude's not hostile, no need to jump him' type thing you just did?"

Hawks let out a laugh and said "A little bit of both actually. Still, would you mind terribly if we took this to the nearest police station? Your arrival to this place wasn't exactly conventional and we'd REALLY like to know your story." 'Especially HOW a male has a Quirk when it's been scientifically proven that only Females can carry the Quirk gene.' The Number Three Hero thought to herself. Then again, the guy was apparently from another world. Maybe it was the males who had Quirks and not the females there. And wasn't that a weird thought?

Matthew seemed to consider it for a moment before he sighed and said "Yeah, alright. We should at least stop taking up air space given all of the helicopters in the air."

"Yep!" Hawks said chirpily before she lifted off of the platform with a flap of her wings and said "By the way, do you think you could surround yourself in light again? It'd probably save you quite a lot of hassle if the media doesn't get a good shot of your appearance."

Matthew's body language took on the appearance of long suffering as he asked "Paparazzi here are just as much a bunch of snooping pests as they are back in my world huh?"

Hawks gave a put upon sigh and said "Fraid so, so if you would?"

"Right." Matthew said before the air around him shimmered and turned into a shell of soft green light that was six inches thick removing any ability to discern any defining features.

Hawks nodded her approval then tapped her Coms device as she said "Situation's under control people, I'm taking our visitor to the nearest Police Station to have a nice chat with them. The rest of you can go back to your normal patrol areas or do whatever."

There were several confirmations over the com waves and most of the flyers quickly wheeled away, while others dove for the city beneath them. As Hawks also dove, she could see the Pros on the rooftops either hopping off the buildings or making their way for the roof entrances. A glance 'behind' her showed that Matthew was following, the platform he had made once more small enough only for him to stand on.

As the pair flew to just above street level, Hawks radioed ahead to the police about needing an officer fluent in English even as she thought to herself 'Well, this should be an interesting story to hear.'
