Steven passes on after an extended human existence. Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond suddenly reforms in his place. While happy to see her friends again, she now must mourn the son she never knew and find her place in the world he left behind.

No big deal. She was just fired from her job and suddenly one of those Gem people are living with her. But the association are after all Lapis Lazuli's in the area. How long can they keep this up? With feelings of tension lurking between Steven and Peridot, the two take a trip to a nearby farm to look at cats

Peridot gives Pearl a virtual child, and after five years of getting attached to it, Pearl wants it to be a real child. The only problem is, just like Rose, she and her child couldn't both exist. Pearl's child, June, has to live with that fact, and convince the other crystal gems to accept it too.
