It's been a few months since Spinel and Steven made everything official and Steven is planning a big surprise for his Gem Girlfriend on their anniversary. However, when Steven notices a troubling change in Spinel, he discovers something that could threaten to destroy Steven and Spinel's relationship forever. (Sequel to With All My Heart)

Spinel is a Mermaid who has been captured and is soon to be put on display until Steven discovers her and helps her escape. Trying to get Spinel back to familiar waters, Steven does his best to befriend her despite her hatred and distrust of humans.
