"There is only one spot left you two duel tomorrow." A coven scout said before walking away as both Eda and Lilith stared at each other.
"So who's getting that spot?" Eda asked as Lilith didn't answer she looked at her sister knowing she was twice as powerful and twice as smart as her.
"I guess we'll find out tomorrow," Lilith responded before leaving as Eda followed her.
"Hey, don't leave me in the dark." Eda asked as Lilith tried ignoring her "I'm just going on a walk to clear my mind, you understand right?"
Eda nodded before heading home while Lilith continued her walk. Eda was near the family house when she then tripped on something as she looked at the floor and found a handle buried in dirt which she grabbed and yanked out showing an entire suitcase with a key as she took them both inside her room.
"Well, you look handcrafted, wait till Lily gets a look at you," Eda told it as she placed it under her bed before heading to the kitchen.
Lilith walked around the night market before stopping and looking at a box full of scrolls she picked one and opened it before reading it.
"I'd like to buy this," Lilith told the shopkeeper. "Never seen a kid your age come here so I'm guessing you need this really bad."
Lilith nodded before placing a small bag of snails into his hand and leaving, scroll in hand.
"So is there anything you girls want to tell me and your father?" Gwendolyn asked noticing that they didn't talk or smile like usual.
"It's nothing mother just getting ready for our coven tryouts," Lilith responded picking at her food.
"Yeah, I mean why should we be worried about these stupid things?" Eda said chuckling nervously as Gwen and Deil looked at each other with concern as the two Clawthorne children then quickly cleaned their dishes and quickly went to their rooms as Eda paced in her room for a bit.
"Should I tell dad? No. He's already asleep I'll just tell him after the duel." Eda concluded before falling asleep as the hand that held the portal key slipped and fell to the floor as the case then turned into a door in front of it.
Lilith held the scroll in her hands before sighing "It'll only be temporary." She thought before opening the door to Eda's room as she opened the door or so she thought.
As soon as Lilith opened it she was stunned by what she was looking at, a large blue sky with green trees, the sound of chirping birds, and soft grass touching her feet. "What in titan's name?" She asked herself as she accidentally let go of the scroll she had pre-read as it flew out of her hands.
"No!" Lilith yelled as it flew out of her reach and into a nearby window.
"Great, just great." She mumbled to herself before heading to the house where the scroll was she climbed the house to reach it as she lifted the window only for it to fly inside the room it was in and land on a bed it then glowed as Lilith quickly shut the window holding her mouth in shock. Soon a person then woke up as they put on glasses and looked outside the window to see nothing a closed window which she opened to get some fresh air.
"Ok Camila, remember this day is a special day for you. After today you are going to be a woman!" The human girl repeated to herself before breathing in the air as she picked up the scroll and tossed it into the trash not noticing a feather stick out on her neck while Lilith hid underneath as tears came out of her eyes.
"What did I just do?!"
