"Lily!" said her parents. The Evans were happy to have their oldest daughter home for the summer. It was the only time that they were all together as a
family other than Christmas. And they were so proud of their Lily. She was a prefect at school and likely to be Head Girl!
"Mum! Dad!" She hugged each of them in turn. During the summer was one of the only times she was popular. At school, sure she got good grades, but
She only had one friend. And he was only a part time friend. Most of the time Remus was hanging out with that prat Potter. "Where's Pet?" she asked.
"She went out with a friend of hers. But she missed you this past year a lot." said her mum. "A lot of things have happened lately. Did you know that the
Richardson's moved out?"
"What?!" exclaimed Lily as she headed towards the car. "You mean Hannah's gone?"
"I'm sorry sweetie. She wanted to see you one last time but I guess not. You could invite her over for the summer! She left a phone number on your
board." she said referring to Lily's giant bulletin board on which she kept all her pictures. "The new neighbors are pretty nice. They have a son who's supposed to
be returning from his boarding school soon if it's any consolation."
Lily giggled. "Thanks mum. Maybe I will invite Hannah over. Then we can scope out the new guy together!" Lily was surprised when they reached the
house. "Wow! We're here already? That was pretty fast!" She quickly looked around for her sister. She wasn't there. So she ran upstairs to her room to check
her board which was covered in photos, wizarding and muggle, and drawings. There in the patch reserved for Hannah was a scrap of paper and a phone number.
She quickly dialed it.
"Hullo?" came a voice at the other end.
"Hello, is Hannah there?"
"This is her, may I ask who's speaking?"
"Hannie you weirdo its me."
"Ooo. Lils! I missed you." the two girls quickly recapped their time without each other. Hannah knew she was a witch. Just like Lily knew where her
mum had gone. They had done a secret swap in 2nd year.
"So, do ya think you can stay over? My parents said ya could," she asked. She dropped her voice lower. "And from what I hear, the new guy is
supposed to be H-O-T, HOT." both girls started giggling.
"Sure. Of course. Just let me tell my dad." Lily admired the sort of freedom Hannah got. As the oldest of five kids, her dad knew she could do anything
and let her.
The phone went quiet for a while but Lily could hear yelling in the background. "DAD! Can I go to Lily's house for the summer?"
"Lily! Lily's on the phone!" Lily heard what sounded like a mad rush to the phone.
"HI LILY!" someone yelled into the phone.
"Hi Mikey." she said.
"MIKE! Get off the phone!"
"Yes your royal highness," Mike said in a sarcastic voice. Mike was the youngest and had just turned 9.
"Hey Lil, its me again." said Hannah. "I can come. When?"
"Um, I think my parents can pick you up, um, hold on kay?" Lily put down the receiver. "Mummy! Daddy! When can you pick up Hannie?"
"Whenever. I'm off today." said her father.
"How 'bout today?"
"Shoots. See ya at 5?"
"Kay. Bye!" she waited until her friend hung up. "WOO-HOO!" she yelled. "Cute guys, AND my best friend. Could this summer get any better?"

I had an idea. A most wonderfulest idea. And that was it. I like Hannah. *well maybe because she's based on you? You dolt.* shuddup mUd.
