Chapter 1: A Dark Vision

"Two years… has it really been that long?" Ron Stoppable thought as he gazed out at the stars from his bedroom window with Rufus snoozing beside it.

It seemed like only yesterday that Ron had saved Kim Possible from the Lowardian warriors Warmonga and Warhok, thwarted the Lowardian invasion, and fully mastered his mystical Monkey powers which allowed him to successfully defeat Warhok and Warmonga. Of course, he had help from both Kim, and surprisingly, Drew Lipsky/Dr. Drakken and Shego. While those two had always been enemies of Kim and Ron for several years, they had put aside their differences and worked together to defeat the Lowardian invaders. After the invasion was thwarted, Shego and Drakken had been hailed as heroes by the entire world and were eventually pardoned by Global Justice, who promised to clear their criminal records and pardon them for their crimes as long as they swore to never again resume villain work.

Drakken and Shego agreed to this and underwent a year of rehabilitation by Global Justice, and eventually the two ex-villains managed to reform themselves once the year ended. Shego ended up becoming a teacher at Kim and Ron's old school, and Drakken eventually landed himself a job as a professor at Middleton Collage. At one point before becoming a teacher, Shego was contacted by her brothers at Team Go HQ who asked if she'd return with them, which Shego of course declined. She never really got along with her brothers that much, which played a part in her originally leaving Team Go to begin with. As for Dr. Drakken, he had finally accepted that no matter how hard he tried to defeat Kim Possible and rule the world, he just couldn't win no matter what villainous scheme he and Shego cooked up. Kim and Ron had always managed to find some way to stop him and Shego, and Drakken had begun to tire of it all.

It wasn't until the Lowardian's invaded Earth that Drakken and Shego finally accepted this and decided to give it all up once Warhok and Warmonga had been defeated. Kim and Ron had originally thought that the two of them would end up imprisoned for good due to their long history of villainy, but since Drakken and Shego had assisted the heroes in saving Earth from the Lowardian invasion, the two of them were offered a chance at rehabilitation; they both accepted this without any trouble. As for Kim and Ron, the two of them had decided to officially join Global Justice as official agents, while still helping others around the world like they always had.

It had taken the entire world a while to fully recover from the Lowardian Invasion, as many of the major cities had suffered heavy damage from the unmanned alien war machines, as well as casualties. Many other governments across the globe had constantly feared the Lowardians possibly returning with a larger invasion fleet, so they had taken a lot of steps to ensure that Earth was more prepared and much stronger in military power. Many of the Lowardian war machines left behind after the invasion had been collected by various government and military agencies all over the globe in order to study their advanced technology and possibly even reverse engineer some of it to give Earth a huge boost in military strength, as well as recreation and entertainment.

All of this advanced technology was kept locked away in secret government bases that very few knew about. The only agencies that had access to, or knowledge of these bases were Global Justice, CIA, and the U.S Government. Since Kim and Ron were now members of Global Justice, they were also one of the few people who knew about these bases along with their location.

However, there were also many criminal organizations out there in the world that attempted to get their hands on this technology as well, and this was where Global Justice came in. For the last two years, Global Justice had been working around the clock to ensure that none of this advanced alien technology fell into the hands of criminals. Some of Kim's old rivals such as Professor Dementor, Senor Senior, Duff Killigan, and Gemini had tried multiple times to get their hands on Lowardian technology. However, Global Justice and Team Possible always managed to foil their plans.

Gemini had been a bigger problem however since his criminal organization had made multiple attempts to break into these secret bases with the help of his agents. He had even recruited a bunch of Monkey Fists old ninja comrades to assist his organization in some of his heists, but they also didn't help too much. Kim and Ron didn't hesitate to take them down, and after a few more failed attempts, Gemini gave up after figuring that the Lowardian technology wasn't worth trouble stealing if he and his agents alway got caught.

As Ron pondered his thoughts, Rufus stirred uncomfortably in his sleep, then began whimpering and muttering something unintelligible. Ron tried to make out what the small rodent was saying, but he wasn't able to since Rufus was pretty much mumbling under his breath. Once Rufus started screaming, Ron shook him awake.

"Rufus, you okay? What's wrong, buddy?" Ron asked worriedly as Rufus woke up.

The small pink rodent shot up from his tiny bed, panting and sweating in what looked like fear. It was clear that Rufus had a nightmare, and judging by the way he was acting, Ron had a feeling it must have been a bad one.

Rufus glanced up at Ron with a look of fear on his face. Ron noticed something odd though. The fear in Rufus's eyes seemed to be directed towards Ron, and this unsettled him. Why did Rufus seem so afraid of Ron? This wasn't like him at all.

"Rufus, why are you looking at me like that? What's wrong?" Ron asked.

"Dead, all dead" Rufus said in a frightened voice.

"Dead? Who's dead?" Ron asked in confusion, not having any clue as to what Rufus meant.

"Kim dead. Others dead" Rufus replied.

That response made Ron uneasy. It was clear at this point that whatever nightmare Rufus had, it must have really frightened and upset him. Had Kim suffered some horrible fate in this nightmare? And who were these others that Rufus was referring to? A lot of this didn't make a whole lot of sense to Ron.

"Others? Rufus, you're not making sense" Ron said.

Rufus made strange gestures, imitating weird fire cracker sounds in the process. Ron felt a bit unsettled by this, but he came to the conclusion that Rufus only had a bad dream, nothing more.

"Actually, don't worry about it too much. You just had a nightmare, so let's not worry too much about it. I'm sure Kim is doing fine" Ron assured the small rodent with a smile.

Rufus nodded and sat back down in his bed, feeling a bit calmer now. As the small mole rat fell back asleep, Ron couldn't help but wonder just what Rufus meant by saying that Kim and the others were dead. Of course, Ron knew that it was only a nightmare, but he still felt uneasy about it. The thought of losing Kim was something that Ron feared the most. As for what Rufus meant by others being dead, Ron wasn't too sure what he meant.

Was Rufus referring to Ron's family, or possibly Kim's family? It didn't matter that much. Ron passed it off as a nightmare and let it slide. Feeling a bit tired himself, he got into bed and soon dozed off. Once Ron was fully asleep, he began to dream. In Ron's dream, both he and Kim were dancing amongst a huge field of poppi flowers lit up by the moonlight in the nighttime sky. Kim was dressing in a beautiful white sleeveless robe resembling that of a Roman goddesses dress. Ron was still wearing his night clothes in the dream as he and Kim danced among the flowers, hearts full of joy and love.

With her long orange hair and white dress blowing in the soft night air, along with her green eyes sparkling in the moonlight, Kim was truly beautiful. Ron's heart pounded with excitement as she embraced him and began kissing him under the light of the full moon. The two then begin making love with the field of flowers, but shortly afterwards, Ron's dream began to slowly change, and not in a good way. The moonlight changed from its radiant white glow to a chilling blood red, and the flowers transformed into sharp, thorny brambles.

Ron and Kim ended up being scratched and cut by the brambles, but what was even worse was that a fire suddenly broke out in the distance, followed by an evil psychotic laugh that sounded almost like the Joker's laugh. Kim and Ron didn't know where it came from, but they were now fearing for their lives as the fire began to gain on them. The two lovers began running through the brambles, ignoring the pain their bare feet and legs took from the thorns, but then fire suddenly blazed in front of them and soon surrounded them.

As the large ring of fire began to close in on Kim and Ron, someone began walking towards them through the flames, features obscured by the smoke and fire. Whoever this person was, Kim and Ron couldn't make out who they were since there was too much smoke and fire masking their view. However, once the unknown figure got close enough, Kim was suddenly engulfed in the flames and burned alive.

Her screams echoed throughout the whole burning field as the figure in the smoke began cackling again in sheer glee at Kim's horrible death. Ron screamed in both grief and horror as he rushed towards Kim. But before he could get close enough to her, he too ended up engulfed in the fire and began burning alive. Once this happened, Ron woke up in a cold sweat, panting in both fear and shock.

"No!" He gasped, looking around frantically.

Rufus was still asleep, and his clock read 3:30 PM. Sighing in relief, Ron laid back, pondering the horrible nightmare he had just experienced. Ron had never had one like this before. Granted, he had his own fair share of nightmares similar to this in the past, like the one where he dreamed that Kim was a synthodrone at his old high school. That one had really shaken Ron up to the point where he ended up calling Kim just to confirm he had only been having a nightmare; this was far different however. This nightmare had involved both Ron and Kim dying in a horrible fire, and then there was that strange figure within the flames laughing like an evil demon at their horrible fates.

The figure had been too obscured by the flames for Ron to get a good enough look at them, but whoever that figure had been, it was definitely a man since their laughter had sounded like a high pitched man's voice. Ron thought about calling up Kim to let her know what he had just experienced, but quickly dismissed that thought, not wanting to wake her up in the middle of the night.

"It was just a nightmare," Ron muttered. "No need to worry about it any further".

As he fell back asleep, he heard a familiar voice echo in his mind.

"Stoppable-San…"

Ron opened his eyes a little, feeling a bit annoyed by having his sleep interrupted.

"Wake me up later" Ron muttered.

"Stoppable-San, wake up" the male Asian voice commanded, then a white glow appeared near the door of Ron's room.

Ron turned and saw the familiar astro form of Master Sensei standing near the door to his room.

"Huh? Sensei? What are you doing here?" Ron exclaimed in surprise, now fully awake.

"Stoppable-San, hear me well," Sensei began. "You and Kimberly-San will face a new threat unlike any other, and I must warn you that this new threat will be far more dangerous and powerful than you've ever faced before. You will face many horrible trials and tribulations, and the one you love will also face the same thing. If all goes wrong, do not lose sight of who you are. Stay within the light at all times, or you will lose yourself to the darkness. My time of passing is drawing near, as is the fate of my other fellow students as well, but do not fear our well being. Remember, you are the master of Mystical Monkey Powers, and you must remain strong, no matter what you may face".

And with that being said, Sensei vanished from the room, bathing it in darkness once again. Ron's mind was going into overdrive at this point. He had no idea what this new threat was, but whatever it was, Ron knew it couldn't be good. What also concerned him was what Sensei said about his time of passing drawing near, as well as his other students' time drawing near. This really made Ron nervous.

"Did Sensei foresee the deaths of his students and himself? And what was this huge threat he was referring to?" Ron wondered.

His mind then flashed back to his nightmare of him and Kim in the burning field, then there was the evil laughter from that unknown figure in the middle of the flames. It seemed like too much of a coincidence. Was that nightmare and Sensei's vision somehow related? Ron didn't want to speculate too much, but he had a bad feeling growing in his gut, and it told him that the nightmare was probably more than just a nightmare. If what Sensei was saying was true, then it was possible that the nightmare was most likely a vision as well.

"I'd better tell Kim about this tomorrow. If some new threat is upon us, we need to be prepared for it," Ron said softly, then glanced over at Rufus, still asleep. "I won't anything bad happen to the ones I love. I can't let that happen".

Ron pondered everything he'd just experienced while trying to fall back asleep, but he had trouble doing so upon recalling that part Sensei had said about him and Kim facing a new threat unlike any other. What new threat could this be? Was it possible the Lowardians would return to Earth for revenge for losing Warhok and Warmonga at the hands of Ron? So many questions flooded Ron's mind, but he had no answers to any of them. Sensei had mentioned that this threat was far more powerful and dangerous than anything they had ever faced before, so Ron was pretty sure the Lowardians wouldn't be it.

They had faced the Lowardians before and defeated them, so Ron figured that this so-called threat had to be something entirely new, and he had no idea what it was. What also worried Ron was what Sensei said about staying in the light if all went wrong.

"All goes wrong? What did Sensei mean by that?" Ron wondered, desperate for answers that he didn't have.

Whatever it meant, Ron would have to figure it out in the morning. He also planned to tell Kim about this as well, and about his horrible nightmare. Trying his best to put all of his worries aside, Ron slowly fell back asleep.

...

Meanwhile in the back allies of Lowerton, Professor Dementor and Duff Killigan were currently meeting up with a shady individual accompanied by two other henchmen. Dementor, Duff, and several members of HenchCo had successfully stolen over 6.2 Kilograms of plutonium from the Plutonium Reprocessing Plant in Trombay, India, and the individual had promised Duff and Dementor a huge fortune of three million dollars if he brought it to them.

Infiltrating the facility wasn't easy, but with help from DNAmy, she had temporarily altered Dementor and Duff's appearance to resemble security officers. Once inside, Dementor, Duff and his assistants took out the limited number of guards present since it was late at night, then proceeded to steal several containers of plutonium. Afterwards, Professor Dementor brought Duff and his assistants back to Middleton using a stolen chopper, then they transported the stolen plutonium over to the back alley in a large truck to deliver it to the one who hired them.

This person wouldn't reveal their name when Duff and Dementor asked them who they were, but instead told the two villains to address their client as "Agent R". Agent R wore a black cloak with a hood over their head to hide their facial features, but Duff and Dementor could tell that Agent R was a man due to the tone of his voice. Agent R's voice sounded similar to the Joker's voice, but with a slightly lower pitch than Joker's, making him sound suspicious and sinister. Whoever this man was, he definitely sounded like someone you wouldn't want to mess with.

"You are late," Agent R said as Duff and Dementor approached him and his two henchmen at the alley entrance. "I expected you to arrive ten minutes earlier".

"Aye, sorry about that," Duff Killigan apologized. "DNAmy took her sweet time changing us back into our normal forms. Those disguises she used on us took a bit of time to undo".

"I see," Agent R replied calmly, then stepped out of the alley and into the streetlights, face obscured by the hood of his cloak. "I trust you have what I desire?".

"Indeed we do," Professor Dementor said proudly. "6.2 Kilograms of plutonium, all in this truck".

"Show me," Agent R ordered sternly. "I want to see it for myself".

"No problem, laddie" Duff nodded, then walked over to the back of the truck and slid open the rear door. "Its all in here".

Agent R walked over behind the truck with his two henchmen and gazed inside the truck, then noticed several metal drums with radioactive warning labels on them all lined up inside the truck. Agent R nodded to his henchmen, then ordered them to check each drum to ensure they all held the right amount inside them. Once they were all thoroughly checked, Agent R's henchmen exited the truck and nodded.

"Checks out just right, boss. 6.2 Kilograms" one of the henchmen reported.

"Good," Agent R replied, sounding rather pleased. "Your efforts will be well rewarded. I shall have my organization transport the plutonium to our hideout, then you two shall have your reward".

"Aye, I'm glad we could be of service, laddie," Duff Killigan said proudly. "Might I ask though, why do ya need so much of this stuff? Plutonium is rather dangerous to be messin' with".

"He does have a point there," Professor Dementor agreed. "And if I'm not mistaken, I believe 6.2 Kilograms of plutonium is the same amount used in one of the atomic bombs used on Japan several decades ago".

"Your quite right," Agent R replied. "However, you two need not concern yourselves with my reasons for needing this plutonium. Your work is done, and I will see to it that you are both rewarded for it".

"And how much are ya willin' to pay us?" Duff Killigan asked curiously.

"How does three million sound?" Agent R asked.

Duff and Dementors eyes widened in awe.

"Three million?! That would be swell" Professor Dementor beamed happily.

"Aye, that sounds perfect" Duff agreed.

"Very well," Agent R replied. "I shall transfer the reward money to two secure accounts. You'll be notified on your cell phones once it's done. For now, I've provided you both with a small Corvette to make a clean getaway".

Agent R then pointed over to a black Corvette stingray parked over by a red painted curb.

"Nice wheel!" Professor Dementor grinned.

"Just the right car for a getaway" Duff Killigan added.

"The keys are behind the front driverside tire, now go" Agent R instructed.

"Been a pleasure doin' business with ya" Killigan winked, then the two villains rushed over to the black sports car.

Professor Dementor found the keys under the driverside tire like Agent R had said, then unlocked the doors. Duff took the passenger side while Dementor took the driverside. Shortly after the two buckled up, they sped off in the night. About a minute later once they were down a few blocks, Duff's phone rang and he answered it, finding a message from Agent R.

"You two did better than I expected, so I'll be giving you both your reward," Agent R began, then his tone turned dark and sinister. "Your eternal reward!".

Right after that unsettling line, the message ended and Duff instantly received a text message from an unknown number. When he opened it, he found a message that read "look inside the glove box".

This got Duff confused, but Dementor then heard something odd.

"Hey, what's that beeping sound inside the glove box?" Dementor asked.

Duff opened the glove box to find out what it was, but to his horror, he found a large pipe bomb inside the glove box which had a timer on it which was down to two seconds. Duff and Dementors eyes widened in pure terror, but before they could even react, the pipe bomb detonated, causing the entire car to explode in an enormous fireball that lit up several blocks. Back near the alleyway, Agent R sneered cruelly under the hood of his cloak. He heard the explosion from where he stood, letting him know that the deed was done; Duff and Dementor had received their so called "rewards".

"Was that nessecery, boss?" One of the henchmen asked, rather shocked.

"Oh please," Agent R scoffed. "No one will miss them. And besides, if we are to one day rule this planet, then there can only be one true villain to rule it, and that's me".

"You got a point there, boss" the other henchmen agreed.

"Indeed," Agent R replied, then turned to the truck loaded with plutonium. "Now we must leave before the police arrive".

The three of them then departed inside the truck and headed for their hideout. Agent R sneered as he passed the burning remains of the corvette on the side of the road.

"Those two have outlived their usefulness, and now, my plan can finally become a reality with the spoils of their labor," Agent R thought as he drove down the dimly lit road. "But before my plan for full world domination can fully take root, I must eliminate any heroes and organizations that may try to stop me, and I'll start with two of the worlds best heroes".

Agent R then lifted up his wrist, revealing a metal band around it with several buttons on it. He pressed one of them and a holo projected image of Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable appeared just above the metal band.

"Yes, Kim Possible and her sweet boyfriend/sidekick, Ron Stoppable. These two are practically inseparable, but that will soon change," Agent R grinned. "I'll crush their spirits into dust, and only then, will I finally kill them".

Ten minutes later, Agent R and his men arrived at their hideout far under the city of Middleton. Once inside, dozens of other workers began unloading the containers of plutonium as Agent R stepped out of the truck.

"Ah, I see you've made it back safely, my lord" a large man in a black imperial style suit greeted.

"Yes Commander Erin Faust, the plutonium is here," Agent R replied. "Those two I hired to bring it to me proved quite useful, but they've been disposed of to ensure that only we… Black Shadow, stand above all other villains".

"Indeed," Faust replied. "Only we are fit to one day rule this world, and I believe you will lead us all to victory once the time is right… Lord Ridley Farcus".

Agent R, formerly known as Ridley, lowered the hood on his head, exposing his features. His appearance was rather intimidating. He had green eyes that looked similar to Kim Possible's eyes, only they had a much more sinister gaze than Kim's. His hair was a dark, greenish black and short, and Ridley also had a long scar on the side of his face and two smaller ones on his chin. His face resembled the face of the fictional character known as Jeff the Killer, making him look frightening and sadistic. Ridley's appearance was truly intimidating and evil, and it was almost enough to strike fear into the hearts of anyone who dared to stand against him. As for Ridley's evil grin, it was creepy enough to make even grown men tremble in fear.

In addition to Ridley's evil and frightening appearance, he also had a very nasty temper and tended to become easily angered if things didn't go exactly his way or if someone attempted to betray him. Those stupid enough to betray Ridley however, didn't live long enough to tell the tale. There had been instances when some members of the Black Shadow organization tried to betray Ridley, but he easily dealt with them by hunting them down and killing them without remorse. It wasn't the first time he had killed, and it certainly wouldn't be the last. Ridley longed to bring order to the world, his order, and he'd crush anyone who stood in his way to world domination.

Ridley's second in command named Erin Faust didn't look as sinister as Ridley, but he was still as cruel and unscrupulous as Ridley was. He wore an eyepatch on his right eye due to an injury he received several years ago. Faust's appearance was similar to the Eric synthodrone, only his hair was a bit longer, and he was just a tad bit shorter than Ridley. Whenever Ridley wasn't around, he commanded the Black Shadow organization with an iron fist, and he was known to be just as ruthless as Ridley whenever someone stood against him.

"Yes, that I can promise you, Commander," Ridley assured Faust. "But first, we must eliminate Kim Possible and her lover, Ron Stoppable. They will be a great threat to our plans, and we must eliminate their allies as well".

"True," Faust replied. "And how might I ask will we proceed with our plans?".

"That's where the plutonium comes in," Ridley replied. "It will help us in our plans to rid the world of Kim Possible and her pathetic allies. Global Justice will also be another challenge once she and Ron Stoppable are out of the picture".

"It shouldn't be too difficult," Faust countered. "Our organization has managed to infiltrate Global Justice and many major government agencies. Once Kim Possible and her allies have been dealt with, our goal to achieving world domination will be within our grasp".

"Indeed," Ridley sneered. "We'll finally crush all the corruption and chaos within this world once our plans unfold".

"So, what is the next stage in our plan, my lord?" Faust asked.

Ridley grinned evilly, then said, "Glad you asked. If you follow me to my quarters, I'll show you"

"Lead the way, Lord Ridley" Faust nodded, then followed the Black Shadow organizations leader out of the loading dock and into the main entrance of their HQ.

Ridley was eager to show his Commander the sinister plans he had for not just Kim Possible, but all of her allies as well. If there was one thing Ridley was good at, it was finding a person's weakness, and then exploiting it to achieve his goals. While some of his past adversaries had been tough to deal with, they eventually fell once he found out about their weaknesses. Ridley not only defeated them, but even went so far as to crush their spirits right before killing them.

He had been secretly studying Kim Possible in secret with the help of his informers, and Ridley had to admit, Kim wasn't a weak minded individual, and neither was Ron Stoppable. However, Ridley knew that every person had some sort of weakness, even Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable; he was no fool. Ridley had seen how much they both cared for each other, and that made them inseparable. He knew that if something bad happened to one of them, the other would be emotionally scarred for life, and that was probably the one weakness that Ridley could exploit the easiest.

"Just you two wait," Ridley thought with an evil sneer. "Your feelings are what bonds you together, and crushing that bond will only be a matter of time. To truly break a person, you must crush their spirits, and that will lead them to their downfall".

Ridley had so many thoughts on how he'd crush all of Kim and Ron's hopes and dreams. Just the thought of seeing the two greatest heroes wallowing in despair over the loss of their families, friends, and allies filled Ridley with pure sadistic joy, and that was only the beginning. The horrors he had planned for the world were just getting started.

...

...

Ron was startled awake by the sound of his Kimmunicator buzzing on his bedside table. He looked over at the clock as he picked up the Kimmunicator and saw that it was 9:45 AM. Ron assumed Kim was the one calling him, but it turned out to be Wade instead.

"Hey Wade, what's going on?" Ron asked curiously.

"There's a situation down in Lowerton, and GJ wants you and Kim to investigate it" Wade replied.

"Oh boy, let me guess," Ron sighed. "Villains are causing problems again?".

"No, it's actually the opposite," Wade answered. "There was a car bombing last night around three in the morning, and the police found evidence there that really got Global Justice's attention".

"What did they find?" Ron asked, now at full attention.

"Not sure yet," Wade replied. "I wasn't told what they found, only that you and Kim are needed there".

"Dang," Ron exclaimed. "If Global Justice is involved, that means this ain't no ordinary car bombing. I'd better get down there with Kim right away".

"I've already notified her about it, and she'll be by to get you in a bit" Wade informed.

"Alright, thanks for the heads up, Wade" Ron nodded.

"No problem" Wade winked, then signed off.

Ron tapped Rufus in his small bed next to the bedside table lamp, waking him up.

"Hey buddy, we got a mission down in Lowerton. You ready?" Ron asked, slipping into his mission gear.

Now fully awake, Rufus said, "Yeah".

Once Ron was in his mission gear, Rufus jumped inside Ron's shorts pocket, then the two of them headed out. Once they were outside, they found Kim waiting for them in her modified purple Coupe near the driveway. Ron rushed into the passenger side and shut the door, then asked Kim if she knew more details about this mysterious car bombing.

"Nope, I only know as much as you do," Kim replied. "Whatever it is though, it's gotta be serious if Global Justice is involved".

"Yeah," Ron said as the car began moving. "I have a feeling we're not gonna like what we find".

"Same here, Ron" Kim replied.

As they headed down towards Lowerton, Ron recalled the nightmare he had last night along with Sensei warning him about the future and figured that now would be a good time to tell Kim about it.

"Speaking of which, I had this horrid nightmare the other night of us in this field of flowers that turned into a bunch of brambles. After they caught fire and forced us to run, we heard someone laughing evilly before the flames reached us, then I woke up" Ron explained.

Kim briefly glanced over at Ron with a concerned look, then said, "That seems really creepy, but why are you telling me this, Ron?".

"Well, cause right after I woke up, Sensei appeared like a ghost in my room and warned me that we'd face a huge threat like no other. He also said that both of us would face a bunch of trials and tribulations, and also for me to stay in the light if all went wrong. And what's worse, Sensei said that his time and the time of his other students is drawing near. It's really worrying me, KP" Ron answered.

This got Kim really worried. Ron was never one to lie about something really serious, and given his grave tone of voice, he definitely sounded serious.

"That doesn't sound good," Kim said worriedly. "It almost sounds as if Sensei is predicting some horrible doomsday event".

"That's what it feels like to me," Ron replied. "The only great threat we really faced was the Lowardian invasion, but I honestly don't know what kind of threat could be greater than that. I can't figure it out honestly, and I've been thinking about it ever since Sensei warned me about it".

"Did he specify what exactly this threat was?" Kim asked curiously.

"No, he vanished before I could ask him," Ron said with a frustrated frown. "I honestly wish he would've said what exactly it was we were gonna be facing, then I'd be more prepared".

"Maybe Sensei didn't know what exactly this new threat was," Kim speculated. "Sometimes visions of the future aren't very clear in detail".

"Yeah, that's possible," Ron agreed. "My nightmare was similar to something like that. I wasn't able to make out the figure in the burning field, but I could hear them cackling, and it definitely sounded like a man. I'm wondering if maybe my nightmare was a vision just like the one Sensei had. Also, there's something else I almost forgot".

"And what's that?" Kim asked.

"Rufus seemed to have had a nightmare as well, and when I asked him what the matter was after he woke up, he said that you and everyone else was dead. I tried asking him who these others were, but he just kept making these weird gestures and explosion sounds" Ron explained.

Kim began to grow more worried after hearing that part. This certainly didn't sound normal at all. First Ron had a horrible nightmare of him and Kim burning to death in a field of thorns accompanied by an evil figure laughing at their demise, then Rufus had a similar nightmare that involved Kim and a bunch of other people dying, and then Master Sensei showed up to warn Ron about a horrifying vision he had of the future. Kim was no expert in such things like this, but she figured that Ron's connection with Mystical Monkey Powers might have had something to do with him having such horrifying visions.

"This is serious, Ron. I highly doubt that all this was just some coincidence," Kim finally said, sounding worried. "I'm wondering if maybe those Mystical Monkey Powers of yours are showing you visions of the future like Sensei".

"That's most likely the case," Ron replied. "But Rufus doesn't have those abilities, so I can't understand why he'd be having visions like that".

"Neither can I," Kim said. "In any case, you should let me know if you have any more visions like this in the future, same with Rufus. Also, you should try to contact Sensei and find out more about this vision he had".

"I'll try," Ron replied. "But I'm not entirely sure how to do that yet. There are still many things about my Mystical Monkey Powers that I'm still learning about. I may be able to control them far better than before, but there's still much about it that I've yet to learn".

"That's understandable," Kim said. "These abilities of yours are definitely more powerful than I could have imagined. I mean, you took out Warhok and Warmonga really easily once you fully tapped into them".

Ron faltered as he recalled that one memory, the memory of Warhok planning to take Kim back to his homeworld to be used as a hunting trophy. Ron remembered feeling almost helpless until Sensei appeared and helped him to fully tap into his Mystical Monkey Powers, allowing him to finish off Warhok and Warmonga for good. Ron also remembered Global Justice informing him and Kim that their bodies were later found amongst the wreckage of Warhok's ship, almost unrecognisable. That one detail really made Ron uneasy. He hadn't intended to kill Warhok and Warmonga, but on the other hand, Ron knew they wouldn't have surrendered.

"Yeah, I haven't forgotten that," Ron said, unsettled. "I never meant to kill Warhok and Warmonga, but it's not like I had much of a choice. Those two were savages, and they would've killed you had I not done it".

"You did what you had to," Kim assured him. "The idea of taking a life is unsettling, but sometimes when you're in a life or death situation, it's kill or be killed".

"Would you ever be willing to cross that line if it came to it, KP? Would you be willing to kill if a situation warranted it?" Ron asked fearfully.

"If it meant defending myself or those I cared about, then yes, I would," Kim nodded. "But I hope it never comes to that. The idea of killing someone is frightening and unsettling".

"I hope I never have to do that again either, KP. I know that Warhok and Warmonga were a huge threat to our world, but I still didn't like the idea of killing them. I've also been worried at times that the Lowardian's might return for revenge one day".

"If they do, then we'll be prepared for it, and so will the rest of the world," Kim assured him. "The Lowardian technology from the remains of the Lowardian war drones gave Earth a huge leap in technological advancement. We've already got several space marine warships orbiting Earth, ready to respond to any outside threat. Some space programs have even begun building larger interstellar starships for deep space exploration too, and they can even fly faster than light".

"Yeah, I never thought we'd have faster than light travel in my lifetime" Ron said.

"Neither did I," Kim replied. "Lowardian technology really is amazing".

"Yeah, it is," Ron nodded. "Wade said he's planning to upgrade our mission gear with Lowardian technology very soon. He also told me the other night that he's making me a battlesuit like yours with Lowardian technology embedded in it, and he's upgrading yours with Lowardian technology as well".

"That's amazing," Kim beamed. "I wonder what Wade's adding to them".

"Same here," Ron replied, sounding a bit excited. "I've been eager for a battlesuit for quite some time now".

Kim and Ron both made small talk as they headed towards Lowerton, unaware of just how serious things actually were. Rufus had also been listening to everything Kim and Ron had been discussing, and he was far more afraid than the two of them knew. As it turned out, Rufus had a similar nightmare like the one Ron had, only it had taken place in the remains of a burning city. People were screaming in pain and agony as a figure clad in armor struck down all who opposed him with a large sword, and in the nightmare, Rufus had taken cover under a wrecked car while he witnessed the whole thing going on. The city was in flames, and this armor clad figure seemed to be the cause of it. Rufus also remembered seeing someone else wielding a sword and opposing the armor clad villain, but he couldn't make out who they were since the flames masked most of their appearance. As they fought each other, the opposing swordsman managed to hack off the mask of the armor clad warrior, and that was the part that terrified Rufus the most. The reason for this was because unlike the other warrior, whose face Rufus couldn't see, he was able to see the face of the armor clad warrior very easily. And the face of that evil warrior… was none other than the face of Ron Stoppable.

A/N: Wow, it seems Rufus really saw something far more disturbing than Kim and Ron could've imagined. Just what do you think these visions could mean? You'll all find out later on.
