Tokyo, Japan November 3 2004

The city was lit up with lights as far as the eye can see. The people walked and drive their daily tasks as if nothing were wrong but for one individual that was not that case. Close by in an alleyway we see a large cardboard box on its side as the bottom was open. Pairs of small scaled feet were out of the box as pieces of black cloth were seen.

"Hungry." A voice was heard as a small body moved out of the box the boy was your average height for an Eight-Year-old, the dark cloth covered his entire body aside for his feet and behind you could see a small charcoal colored tail dragging on the ground "Find food." He said as he walked out of the alleyway.

At this time of night, the only places that are still serving food are dine ins and drive through fast food but the boy could not just simply walk into these places causally Instead he needed to be smart and tactical or in any form of Knowledge for an 8-year-old. One of the closet options was a burger place, He looked through the window and saw a crowd of people eating food, drinking liquid, and chatting with others making the boy a little sad.

He watched as one of the employees took a garbage bag and walked through the building, the boy followed the back side of the building as the employee dumped it into a dumpster. Knowing it was garbage the boy smelled the food from where he was standing. The employee went back inside as the boy went over to the dumpster and hopped into garbage.

"FOOD!" He shouted in excitement as he rummages through the metal bin like a street rat. Opening bags of half-eaten meals, devouring them with no regards to his health, He chewed like a rapid animal as his hard were charcoal colored as well along with sharp claws that could gut a fish, He feast and feast till his belly was full.

"HEY! What are you doing in there." A bright light was flashed at him as another employee scared him.

"SKKKREEEONNGK!"

"What the fuck." The man stumbled back letting the boy a chance to escape as that little roar worked. The man looked up and tried to understand what happened. "The hell was that thing." He said knowing no one would believe him as he walked back inside. The boy from a distanced watched as the door closed.

"Too close, No one must not see me." He said to himself as he scaled up a wall and went away.

The boy made his way back to his box as his stomach is now full also with happy thoughts of scaring a human. He sat back down as a flash of sliver came from his neck. Around it was a necklace with a blue sapphire in the shape of a Heart, the boy looked at it as it saddened him reminding him of a better time that he used to have.

"I miss you mama." He said to himself as tears felled from his face. He got out of his box again and scaled the building his Box was up against. It was a 4-story building that He sunk his claws into to climb, On the roof you looked at the dark sky seeing the stars and off the distance, past the city, past the mountains. He pulled down his hood, He had small snout, sharp teeth that can puncture skin easily, bright orange eyes that can be seen in the dark.

"SSSKKKKKKRREEEEOOONNNGGKKK!" He let out a small roar hoping that whoever could hear it would get him but that has not worked that past couple of years so why would tonight be any different. He climbed back down to the alley and sat back down in his box, laying down as it was time for sleep.

"I miss home." He said as he closed his eyes and went to sleep, a small bright light around his chest glowed as he curled up his tail to his body, trying to dream of something different but it will just be the same dream it has always been of how his mother was taken from him, his father leaving. No choice but to run away from home but it only got worse as he slept through the night.

For the boy his fate will be intertwined with others as for the name for the boy, it is a name that is best suited for his case.

The boy's name is ren and he is nothing like this world has even seen, as the world of humans, devils and angels will soon see.

November 4th 2004 9:20 AM.

His bright orange eyes stirred as he saw the pale sky, He looked out and see gray and dark clouds seeing that it might rain. Ren looked around to see if anybody can see him, the cost was clear. To what he wanted to do was try to act like a normal kid as walked out of the alleyway.

10:10 am

He found a kid's playground but no one was there so he had the place to himself. He put his hands on the monkey bars and made it across with no problem, He went down a blue slide.

"Haha!" He laughed in excitement as he was having fun. He then went on the swing set and kicked his legs. Like a kid he was enjoying the fun. "Higher, higher." He said wanting to go higher.

"Ok ren we'll go higher." His mother's voice went through his head as he stopped kicking, letting the swing slow down. He felt sad again as he looked around, no one else was here with him. He got up from the swing, He walked away from the playground not looking back.

11:30 am

As He walked back to his alley, he noticed not a lot of people were out today, due to the weather forecast. Hoping not to be seen as he walked along.

"Mommy where are we going." He heard a voice as he instinctively hid in the bushes as he watched a mother and her daughter walk past.

"I told you honey we're meeting daddy for lunch."

"We're are we eating at."

"At the hotel." The women said as ren watched them. The mother was a tall slender figured with brown hair and her daughter wore a small dress, white hat, and red hair. This caught the boy's eye as he never seen a human with red hair before.

"Food." He said as he followed them slowly.

12:20 PM

He watched the mother and daughter walk into a lobby of this was looks to be a 5-star hotel which was a cause for concern as it would be almost impossible to sneak in so he scooped out around the building and saw an open backdoor, normally this was would be a no-go situation.

"GGGGRRRRRRR." His stomach rumbled as he was very hungry

"Really need food." He said as he walked through the door, he saw tables with white sheets over them with food on top, he was drooling from how this tasty looking food smelled.

"Bring the food out." He heard a voice was her hid on the table in a panic as waiters pushed the table out of the way and into the main dining room. All the voices and noise he heard hurt his ears a bit but he tuned them out as he was moving.

He then stopped as he peeked seeing all these people here wearing fancy clothes, looks like he was at a major event. But he did not care and was hungry.

"So, Mr. gremory I assume we're here to talk business."

"Of course, it's why we're here." The older gentlemen with redhead and goatee were talking as the mother and daughter was next to him.

"Okay sweetie why doesn't you go get some food."

"Ok." The little redhead said as she wondered off on her own. She looked around at the people with a bland look as she made her way to the food tables. "Yummy food." She said excited as she walked up and down through the tables. Till she saw a table with a small grey tail sticking out. "Huh?" She questioned it as she looked around the table and heard some munching noise.

She made it to the front of the cart and pulled the sheet up and saw him munching, he looked up and froze, the two were face to face, to him a person he had never seen before, to her something she has never seen before. She looked at the crumbs on his face as he was done eating some bread.

"Are you hungry?" She asked him as he looked down then back at her and nodded. "Wait here." She left as ren was still a bit frozen up by this encounter. She pulled up the sheet as she came back. "Here." She handed him a plate of meat. He moved back a little bit to unsure. "Don't be scare." She spoke not knowing what to believe as reached out and took the plate and started chewing down on the meat like a rapid dog. She let the sheet down as she pushed the cart out of the way, to somewhere a bit safer. She made it to one of the hallways outside of the dining room as she stopped.

"Okay you can come out." She said but watched the tail scoot back into the cart. "Hey." She pulled the sheet up to see him shaking. "What's wrong."

"I am scared." He said to her as she looked at his features, the tail, the scales, and the bright orange eyes. Something about him was different.

"It is fine, look no one is here just us two." She said but did not help as he still shaking down to his core but she moved his face to make eye contact, Bright orange eyes and emerald looked at one another. "You can trust me." He heard her words, his fear was gone and felt relived.

"Okay." He then got out of the cart, he stood up as they both were the same height. "Thank you for food." He said to her.

"You're welcome, what's your name." She asked him

"My name is Ren."

"MY name is rias, nice to meet you." She held her hand out to shake. He looked at her hand and reached out with his scaled dark grey colored one and shoke.

"Nice to meet rias." He said as his vocabulary was not 100 percent. Which made her giggle.

"You're a little weird." She said to him. "But I like that." She said making him a little happy as his tail wagged on the floor. "Do you want to play."

"Y-yes." He said excitedly as she went around the corner as he followed.

12:50pm

"Whoooo!" Both said loudly as they rode the laundry down the chute and fell into the laundry room.

"That was fun."

"More, more." Ren said wanting to have more fun.

"Ok follow me." They hooped out of the laundry basket and ran out of the room to find a luggage cart. "I will steer and you push."

"Okay." Ren said understanding it as rias was in front and ren in the back.

"Push Ren, push." He used his legs to push the cart down the hall, rias steered the cart left and right down corners as both were having fun. "Faster ren, faster."

"Got it." He pushed harder making them go faster. Feeling the breeze, rias took her hat off and let her long flowing hair down as ren looked and was dazed by the color and the amount of hair as he could not stop looking.

"Slow down." He heard her as her put his feet down tearing some carpet as the cart came to a stop.

"You, okay?" Ren asked her.

"Yeah, that was fun huh?"

"Yeah, it was." Ren said to her as they got out of the cart.

"Can I ask you something ren."

"s-sure." He said sounding nervous.

"Are you an orphan." She asked getting some sad eyes as her looked at himself, thinking of his past life.

"In a way yes."

"Then you should come home with me."

"W-what?"

"It will be great we can have fun when we want and we'll be the same house." As much as the offer was tempting ren looked at himself again seeing the thing he is, should be what she should be around.

"I cannot."

"But why?

"Rias!" They both heard her mother call her as this was a suitable time as any.

"Do not worry I say that-" She turned to look and he was gone leaving no trace.

"Rias there you are." She picked her up to hold her "Where have you been."

"Playing with my new friend."

"That is cute, where is your new friend." She asked her daughter.

"I do not know he just left."

"Hmm? That was not genuinely nice but anyway, let us go back to your dad we are about to leave.

"Ok." Rias said with glee as her mother turned around to walk away but looked back at the hall for one sec and continued to walk seeing the claws marks on the carpet.

4:00 PM

Ren sat in his box for the past couple of hours retain the memory of his fun with a new girl, this was the first in a long time that he smiled and felt relived, safe but he ran away.

"It is better this way." He said to himself as the choice he made hoping it was a good one but only time will tell if it was or not, we shall see.

Time for a new beginning.
