And... I'm back! I've been working on this for a while now and I feel like chapter 1 was ready to roll so here we are. This picks up right where we left off and there's not much going on in this chapter, honestly it's pretty fluffy and plotless, but bear with me cause I'm still me, so later on we'll have drama and some angst though probably not as much drama as in SHNY. If you haven't read that yet I highly recomend you go read it first.

Reviews are very much appreciated and I hope you enjoy, this chapter has a minor M scene, you've been warned.

He looks at his wife as she sleeps soundly in his arms. His wife… It makes his chest swell at the thought of calling her that again.

Yesterday he woke up knowing that he had to find a way to say goodbye to her, giving himself pep talks to move on, and now they are on their bed, and she's wearing only his shirt while resting half on top of him.

He can't help but think about how beautiful she is and how perfect she looks. Her hair sprawled across the pillow, a bit disheveled from their previous activities, and he just watches her, it's been so long since he's had the privilege of just watching her sleep peacefully in his arms, she looks so relaxed, the small hint of a contentment smile tugging at her lips, almost imperceptible, but he knows her, he knows when she's sleeping completely relaxed or when she isn't, when she's worried or stressed she has this slight frown even when sleeping. Right now she looks one hundred percent relaxed.

He kisses the top of her head and she instinctively snuggles further into him.

After hitting the road they went straight to the Ritz to check her out and pick up her stuff, both praying her ex fiancé wasn't there anymore, and thankfully he wasn´t. After that they went straight home.

He pinned her against the door as soon as they made it inside, and when he was about to carry her to bed she decided that was too far, so she led him towards the kitchen counter and he fucked her senseless on top of it. That was around two hours ago.

She was serious about the mattress too, because as soon as they got down from their highs after sex, she addressed the issue.

….

"Let's switch the mattress in our bedroom for the one in the spareroom" Harvey snaps his head up, still catching his breath after spilling himself inside her not fifteen seconds ago.

"Donna, you've got to be kidding me" She looks at him dead serious, she's not kidding. There's no way she's going to sleep there, who knows how many women occupied her place on that bed over the last three years.

"I'm not sleeping there, either we switch the mattresses until we get a new one or we're moving to the spare room" He suppresses a laugh and she glares at him.

"Donna"

"Harvey" Her tone is sweet, too sweet, in a sarcastic way.

They stare at each other and once again Harvey fights the urge to laugh, he missed their stare contests. Well, he missed everything about her, but he recalls how they used to do this a lot. Stare at each other until one of them caved in, usually him. Yeah, the great Harvey Specter is reduced to a puddle when it comes to her, and he's not even ashamed of it.

She puts both her hands on his cheeks and her best puppy eyes "Please honey" and fuck it, he'll run to the store now and bring a fucking new mattress on foot if he has to, not a week ago he told Tanner he wanted to go back to being a whipped husband, well, wish granted.

He sighs and places a chaste kiss on her lips before moving away from her, putting his boxers back on and marching himself to their bedroom. He catches her staring at him walking away.

"Are you going to keep staring at my ass or are you at least going to help me?" He calls behind him and her laughter fills the apartment as she picks up his shirt off the floor to put it on and follows him…

..

He thinks about how last night was amazing and emotional and he's glad they could talk about how much they hurt each other so they can finally move past it and start their new lives together. There's one thing they haven't talked about though, she still has a life in Chicago. Does she want to move back to New York? Or does she want them to go back there? He doesn't think she'll want to keep working for Thomas after calling the wedding off but it is something they should discuss anyway.

"What's bothering you?... I can hear you thinking" she says smiling as he looks down at those beautiful hazel orbs he missed so much.

"How do you do that, how do you know something is bothering me?" She's always had this super power, she knows everyone and can get into anyone's head, especially his.

"Please, I'm Donna, and…. I'm your wife, I know you Harvey, some things never change" She points out and he can't help but smile at that, leaning down to place a small kiss on her forehead.

"it's just… nothing, I was thinking about where to go from here"

"Well, in the immediate future you are going to cook for me, I'm starving"

"Not twenty four hours in and you're already bossing me around" She crawls on top of him and kisses both his cheeks before making her way down his jaw and his neck with her lips, sucking on his pulse point.

"Please" She mumbles against his skin and he crawls his hand across her thigh, her butt and finally inside his shirt that she's wearing, to caress her lower back.

"Keep that up and I won't be able to leave the bed to cook for you" He warns her in a low voice but it's too late, he's already hard against her leg and she smirks.

"Too late for that" she says innocently and moves to remove his shirt off her but he stops her.

"Open it but leave it on" He says huskily and she does, right before moving her hands to pull his boxers off, freeing him from its tightness. She's not wearing any underwear, so she simply sits on top of him, aligning their lower parts and sinks down on his shaft.

He sits straight and she wraps her ankles around his waist, she moans loudly at the way the new position allows him to bury himself inside her even deeper. They move slowly in complete sync, just enjoying the moment. His right hand reaches for her long wavy hair, He buries his hand in her strands and holds her tightly to him with his left hand, placed on her lower back. Her light whimpers and moans and their raging breathing is all that can be heard in the bedroom, he pulls her head away from his neck, where it was buried, to kiss her. It's a slow and tender kiss but filled with so much passion at the same time. He takes his time to gently stroke her tongue with his while she continues to move against him, in and out.

"Harvey" She moans softly against his mouth and he can see the emotion behind her eyes, the intense feeling too much for the two of them.

"It's ok babe, I've got you" He soothes her and she lays her right hand on his cheek, locking their gazes as they continue their soft love making. And yes, there was a reason she hated Thomas calling her babe so much, it's because that's what Harvey used to call her, usually in the throes of passion.

Harvey loves sex with Donna. He's had his share of women over the years, even before meeting her, but there's something about making love to the love of your life that's so special, and he hasn't been able to fill that void again until now, no matter how many women he slept with, none of them were his wife, none of them were the only one he wanted. They've tried pretty much everything in the nine years they spent together, but if he has to be honest, as fun as kinky or rough sex is, this is his favorite, slow and passionate and just full of love.

He can feel her orgasm building inside her but she's holding back because she knows he's not there yet, but he doesn't care, he wants her to have her release.

"Let go Donna… let go for me" She fastens her pace to help him find his release and it works because after a couple of more strides he spills himself inside her as she rides the waves of her orgasm.

"God, I love you so much" She whispers against his ear and he holds her tightly to his chest. It feels so good to hear it, he knows it, he's always known it, but to hear it from her it's always a plus.

"You're my whole life" He whispers back and when she pulls away he can see tears forming behind her eyes. "Hey… Donna what's wrong?" She shakes her head and hugs him again, holding him as tight as she can, never wanting to let go, the guilt she feels over everything that happened three years ago, and over how much she hurt him the past week making another appearance.

"I'm so sorry Harvey, you have no idea how sorry I am" She sobs against his shoulder and he just holds her, letting her get it all out. He thought they were past this, he was apparently wrong in his assumption.

"It's okay, Donna, it's okay. You're here now and that's all that matters to me, we've been through this already honey" He tries to reassure her but she just sobs harder, so he lets her cry and caresses her hair as she does, while he whispers sweet words to her ear.

They stay like this for a while, just holding each other until she calms down and breaks the silence.

"I need you to forgive me Harvey" He pulls her head back to look into her hazel eyes.

"Donna no, there's nothing to forgive. I told you this last night, you did as best as you could" She shakes her head no and a few more tears fall down her cheeks as she presses her forehead against his.

"I almost broke you" She whispers and he wonders if he did the right thing by telling her about what happened after she left.

"But you didn't and you shouldn't feel guilty about that"

"But it was my fault, I was so selfish" She hides her face in his neck again and he sighs deeply.

"Donna…" He tries to get her to look at him but she's not letting go and she's way stronger than he remembered. "Donna, hey, come on, look at me… please?" She looks up again and he smiles at her, caressing her cheek.

"We both made mistakes, but it doesn't matter anymore, you're here, we're here and we love each other, okay? So I don't want you saying those things. I wasn't mad at you, well I was at first, but I told you when you called me that time that I wasn't anymore and that all I wanted was for you to come back and you did, so that's it" She nods and pecks his lips.

"I still need you to say it" He chuckles slightly and smiles at her, conceding to giving her what she needs.

"I forgive you Donna"

"Good, I forgive you too"

"Good" He says softly while running a strand of hair away from her forehead before placing a soft kiss there when her stomach grumbles.

"Come on, as the dutiful husband I am, I'll cook you something" He kisses her forehead one more time and puts his boxers back on to go to the kitchen.

….

She sits on a barstool and looks at him as he fixes them some chicken with vegetables. She loves to watch him cook, he's so in his element when he does, looking all sexy and confident.

"I'm sorry about my outburst in the bedroom" She says quietly and he chuckles, giving her his best Specter grin.

"You don't have to be sorry, for better or worse, remember?" She gives him a small smile in return and nods, but he can tell she's still a bit shaken by all of it.

"Yeah, I remember" an idea occurs to him to lift her spirits a bit.

"We should go to Westchester" He suggests as he passes her a plate and moves to sit on the barstool next to her. She leans in to kiss his cheek as a thank you and digs into her food.

"We should, your surrogate mother will be thrilled" He lets out a chuckle and swallows before speaking.

"I know. We should call her, she'll flip" She laughs and agrees with him, Elena is their number one fan, she wasn't happy when Donna told her about the engagement to Thomas, she supported her because that's what mothers do, but deep down she just knew that Harvey has always been the only one for her daughter.

After finishing their meals she stands from her seat to put her arms around him and kisses him.

"We should take a shower" She suggests while lifting her eyebrows and looking at his lips.

"Yeah, we should also save water and shower together" he replies breathily while closing the distance and kissing her, after pulling apart he leans down and throws her over his shoulder, slapping her butt playfully as she giggles.

…..

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" She asks him as they sit on the couch with her phone in her hands.

"You have to face her, Donna, the sooner the better" He points out and she sighs, scrolling for her mother's contact on facetime. She picks up and she is definitely not happy with her youngest daughter.

"Care to tell me why I haven't heard from you since Friday morning and in the spur of forty eight hours you arranged an express wedding only to call it off the next day? I must have sent you a hundred texts. Not even Addison put us through so much drama Donna Roberta" Donna rolls her eyes and throws her head back on the couch as she lets out a sigh.

"Don't you roll your eyes at me young lady"

"Young lady? really? I'm thirty five mom" she points out while looking at her mother again.

"And don't change the subject!" She scoffs and Harvey has to bite his tongue not to laugh and make his presence known. Donna glares at him and looks back at her mother.

"I couldn't do it mom, I couldn't marry him" Elena's features soften and she smiles at her youngest.

"I knew you wouldn't. Now, what is it going to take for you to realize you can't live without those cute dimples Donna?" Harvey rolls his eyes as Donna bursts out laughing.

"I don't think he approves of you calling his dimples cute, mom"

"He's practically my son, he'll live. So did you see him?"

"I'm home, mom" Elena looks confused as hell and tries to peek into the phone to figure out where she is.

"You're back in Chicago already?"

"No, I'm home, with Harvey" she says, turning the cell phone in his direction.

"Hey Lena" He greets her and she squeals, literally squeals.

"Oh my god, thanks heaven! I thought you were never going to see the light again Donna…. Harvey my boy, I told you, didn't I? A mother knows"

"You sure did" Harvey confirms and Donna looks between him and the screen.

"Care to share?"

"When he came to see me after you, well you know, I told him it may not be today or tomorrow, but you'd come back to him" Elena explains to her daughter who just nods knowingly.

"Well you were right, those dimples are pretty hard to resist" They both laugh at his expense and he can't help but join them, while shaking my head.

"I'm so happy for you. I'll see you both on Thursday then?"

"Yes, you will" Harvey confirms.

"I'll make your mom's chicken parmesan Harvey"

"Hey! I'm your daughter, why are you always spoiling him?" His wife protests and Elena chuckles.

"Sharing is caring Donna, I'll make you a raspberry pie, okay?"

"Okay" she nods her contentment and they say their goodbyes before hanging up.

"Well that went well" He says leaning into the couch while pulling her to his embrace and resting her back on his chest.

"Mhm" She hums her agreement and he decides to confront the issue that's been bugging him since this morning, no point delaying it really.

"Donna"

"Yeah"

"Do you want to go back to Chicago?" She moves her head backwards to look at him and frowns.

"Where did you get that from?"

"I don't know, I mean, you have a life there"

"I thought we'd already established that my home is wherever you are Harvey. I'm moving back to New York" He lets out a sigh of relief that he didn't know he was holding , and she turns in his arms to face him.

"I'll have to find a new job though, I don't think Teddy is going to give me my old one back after how I left" An idea occurs to him and he's not sure how she'll take it, but he just blurts it out anyway.

"Come work for me" Her eyes get bigger and she stays silent for a few seconds.

"What?"

He pulls them up to a sitting position and stands while she's still sitting on the couch.

"Listen.." He says as he's trying to formulate the whole thing in his head "Our COO left two months ago, we need to fill that position, and we need to do it soon because someone needs to be on the way of Louis and I so we don't rip each other's throats, he's my friend but you know how we get sometimes. Who better than you to do that?"

"So you want a babysitter to make sure you and Louis don't kill each other and you think I'm perfect for that role?" Okay, that definitely sounded better in his head, He knows he has to recover quickly or face his wife's wrath.

"No, not at all, I'm just saying, you're perfect for the role of COO. Donna, you handled being COO of Teddy's company for years, and then you got Thomas's company a huge expansion, you managed it for three years"

"And how do you know I was the one to get that expansion?" She retorts and he hesitates on whether or not to tell her the truth, he always kept track of her in any way he could.

"Because I know, you ran the whole thing, don't even try to deny it" She leans back on the couch and lifts an eyebrow at him.

"Don't avoid my question" She retorts and he sighs.

"I asked around, okay?"

"You asked around"

"Yeah" She looks at him expectantly and crosses her arms as he scratches the back of his head.

"Mike told me, alright? He and Rachel talked about you and sometimes when he heard something he told me about it, don't be mad at him, I totally forced him to" He confesses and he sees a small smile forming on her lips.

"I'm not mad at him, I would have been until last week, but not now" She shrugs her shoulders and he gets close to her, putting his hands on the backrest of the couch between both sides of her head as his mouth hovers over hers.

"And why, may I ask, is that?" her breathing accelerates and he loves the effect he has on her, even after so many years.

"Harvey…" Her tone is pleading but firm, a soft warning.

"Donna" He whispers her name, never taking his eyes off her lips, she places a finger on his lips and pushes him away slightly.

"Can we finish a conversation without it leading to sex?" He moves her finger away and kisses her quickly before pulling back.

"That's not what I was trying to do" She tilts her head to the side and gives him a pointed look. "Okay it was, sorry, we can continue our conversation now" She chuckles and leans back against the couch.

"I don't know Harvey. Are you sure this isn't just a pity offer?"

"Pity? What are you talking about?" He frowns a bit because he honestly doesn't know where she gets those things from.

"Well, I don't know, maybe you feel guilty that I don't have a job anymore?" He paces in front of her while trying to find the words so she can understand why he wants this so much and hopefully she'll agree with it.

"Nothing could be further from the truth, I know you can find a job in less than a week Donna, you're amazing, you don't see how amazing you are sometimes, but I do, I always have. I want you to come work at the firm because I need to fill that position and no one is better fit than you for the job, and having you a few feet from me all day long won't hurt, but… I understand if you need to think about it" She considers it for a few seconds and lets out a long sigh.

"Yeah, I need to think about it" He can work with that, it's not a no, it's not a yes either, but he knows he can find a way to persuade her, he'll just figure something out, he always does.

"Great! I have to call Louis to tell him I won't be back yet"

"Why not?" She asks him looking surprised and he shrugs.

"I want to spend more time with you" He simply says and she smiles at him as she stands and puts her arms around his neck.

"That's very sweet, but you should go back to work, I'll be fine, and we have forever, you already took a week off, I wouldn't want to cause you any trouble with Louis"

"You wouldn't, he'll understand. Besides I never take days off, I haven't taken a single one in the last three years, so I have a lot of accumulated vacation" She looks hesitant and he can sense something is bothering her but can't figure out what.

"You don't have to do that Harvey, go back to work, I won't be here anyway, I have to leave-" He stares at her as he feels panic surface, she notices this and stops talking and places a hand on his cheek, trying to figure out if he's on the verge of a panic attack or what.

"What do you mean, you're leaving?" He's pretty sure he chokes out the words, she tightens her hold on him as to reassure him, before she explains.

"I mean I have to go back to Chicago for a few days, quit my job, pack up my apartment and get my stuff. I only brought a suitcase. I wasn't even planning on staying for a week, let alone forever" He steps away from her, runs a hand through his hair and shakes his head.

"You don't have to, I'll have someone go there, get your stuff, or I'll just renew your whole wardrobe, I'll give you my credit card and you can buy anything you want" He sounds desperate, trying to convince her to stay as his breathing becomes more frantic by the second, and he knows it's ridiculous, and he's totally exaggerating but he can't help it. He doesn't want her to go, even if it's just for a few days, he simply doesn't want another single day away from her.

She walks towards him and cups his jaw with her hands "Okay Harvey, breathe, look at me, just breathe with me, okay?" He tries to follow her breaths to calm his raging breathing and it works because a few moments later he closes his eyes and buries his face in her neck, slowing down his frantic state as she holds him as tight as she can.

"Please don't leave" He whispers against her skin and she caresses his back reassuringly.

"Okay, we'll figure it out, don't worry"

"I'm sorry" He says then, realizing how ridiculous this whole scene is, she must think he's such a wuss.

"It's okay, I'll tell you what, we can go together next weekend, I'll use this week to settle back, have this condo look like an habitable place for a lady again, and work remotely to leave everything arranged at the office, I can fly on thursday night and you can fly on friday. I'll need to be at the office on Friday morning so I can present my formal resignation and then we can spend the weekend there so you can help me pack" He considers her offer and realizes she's right, there really is no better way to handle this.

"That's still a night apart, and we have dinner with your parents on Thursday" He points out anyway, giving it his best shot, as if that would change anything, she chuckles softly against his shoulder.

"Look at you, a true devoted son in-law. We can go for an early dinner and I can get a flight from La Guardia afterwards, and yeah I know that still means a night apart but we can do it" He doesn't look very convinced but he has to admit it's the best choice, he already lost a week of work, and he's pretty sure there's a load of paperwork at the firm waiting for him, so he simply nods and agrees with her.

….

They decide to go out for a walk, to get some stuff to make dinner and he holds her hand while they stroll along the sidewalk. It's such a simple gesture and it's so meaningful at the same time, he really can't remember the last time they went out for a walk and held hands.

"Ohh look at that!" She says pulling his hand to drag him into a kitchen supplies store. He looks at her confused and she notices. "What?".

"Um, nothing, were you brainwashed in Chicago and turned into a Martha Stewart fan? Because my wife doesn't even know what to do with a pan" She glares at him as she drags him inside the store.

"Well let's just say your wife had to learn how to cook, basic stuff, nothing too fancy"

"Is that so?" She goes straight to pastry products and he finds the whole situation very amusing. Donna is a very talented woman, she can do pretty much everything, to Harvey's eyes she's perfect, hell she even knows how to shoot a gun, but the one thing she can't do is cooking, literally, she can't cook to save herself from starving.

"Well, you know that I never had to cook for myself before moving to Chicago, I mean my mother took care of that when I lived with them, then Scottie cooked for me through my first years of college and then I met a very hot guy that really knew how to cook, and I married him so he could just keep cooking for me" He snorts at her last remark and kisses the back of her head as she keeps going through kitchen supplies.

"So when I was on my own for the first time in my life, I started going through recipes on YouTube, cause I couldn't live on take out, you know?" she continues explaining while taking a look at a pasta maker.

"Well honestly, I thought you had survived on shitty Thai" He retorts and she turns around to slap his chest playfully.

"Of course not!" She says, pretending to be offended by his remark, but he can see her suppressing a smile.

"Well, so now you'll start cooking for us?"

"No way! you'll be doing all the cooking, I'm just choosing things I like, so they can look pretty in our kitchen, you'll find them useful, don't worry" Donna always had a bit of an issue with shopping, she likes to shop a lot, and not just handbags that she uses five times top, but also things to decorate and 'bring life to the house' as she calls it. When they were at Harvard she gave Harvey a cactus to put in his dorm, she said she couldn't take how lifeless the place was. He still has it, it's sitting on their coffee table.

"Oh, so you're shopping for me, that's so sweet honey" He says sarcastically and she turns around again, checking that no one is watching and leans in to him.

"I'll repay you with very hot sex" She purrs into his ear and he can feel his blood rushing south, but he tries to control himself.

"Donna" He says in a warning tone and she giggles, resuming her shopping activities as if she hasn't just given him a semi hard on, in a public store.

….

After dinner they're lying in bed, Donna wearing only his shirt and he's clad in boxer briefs when Mike calls.

"Hey asshole, is there something you want to share with your best friend?" he says as soon as Harvey picks up.

"Actually yes, I can't stand your hairstyle changes anymore, I'm getting myself a new best friend" Mike laughs in a mocking way and Donna chuckles next to Harvey.

"So Rachel says Donna told them to rip the divorce papers and yesterday she called me to ask if I knew where you were. She sounded kinda desperate. Did she find you?" He looks down at his wife who's listening and she just smiles at him knowingly.

"Yeah she did, but it was too late, I told her I wanted nothing more to do with her, I think I'll find myself a young supermodel and travel the world after all" Donna glares at him and punches his shoulder with way too much strength for a woman her size.

"Ouch" He mumbles as she sticks her tongue at him.

"No fucking way whipped man, she's there, isn't she?" Mike says and he can just see his smug smile through the phone.

"Yeah Mike I'm here" Donna jumps in and they hear Mike call for Rachel to tell her like a giddy teenager.

"You really need to grow up Mike, you'll be a married man in a couple of months" Harvey says while shaking his head.

"I can only hope not to be as whipped as you are"

"Mock me all you want, I'm proud to be whipped, it has its benefits in bed, trust me"

"Harvey…" Donna interjects in a warning tone and he gives her his Cheshire cat grin, she can't help but smile at him.

"God Harvey, I'm happy for you man but I really don't want to talk about your sex life, mommy and daddy going at it is not an image I want in me head" Harvey laughs and Donna interjects again.

"Am I mommy in this scenario? cause I'm too young to be your mother Mike" he's silent trying to figure out how to answer back.

"Umm, no, of course not, you're young and fit and…" "Give me the phone Mike" Rachel says and they suppose she takes the phone from him.

"I'm happy for you guys, you deserve the best, we'll leave you alone now and I'll call you later Don" she says and Donna promises to call back before they hang up.

"That was fun, but I have better plans for us" Harvey says as he leans down to kiss her and starts unbuttoning his shirt on her.

"You're insatiable Harvey" She leans her head backwards to give him better access to her neck.

"Only for you darling, only for you" He retorts as she tugs on his boxers and they're once again entangled in one another.

...

The airport is not nearly as crowded as it usually is and he's thankful for it. He spots his sister waiting for him and smiles. She pulls him into her arms as soon as he's within reach.

"You didn't need to come Lory, I'm okay" Thomas says into her shoulder and she squeezes him tightly.

"She was never good enough for you, but I'm sorry anyway" Lorraine says looking up at her twin brother.

"Don't say that, I love her Lory" He says with a mournful tone.

"Thomas you're one of the most powerful men in this city, please tell me you won't simply let this go, she humiliated you and our family" He looks down at her and nods.

"I won't, but we're not going after her, we're going after the son of a bitch that took her from me"

"Harvey Specter" She says with spite in her voice and he nods. "He's a big fish"

"In New York he is, but she'll have to come back Lory, and something tells me he won't let her come alone, thing is, we know exactly how to make him tic" He puts his arms around her shoulders and leads her out of the airport, he may have lost Donna but Harvey Specter will learn the hard way that he can't just walk over anyone he pleases.
