"We still have no idea about who cause the collapse of several skyscrapers in a mile radius," said a reporter from New York City. "But we are getting reports that that two strange entity's are behind..."
The TV went black as Chase drop the remote on the coffee table.
His group, him, Skye, his girlfriend, Rocky and Marshall and Jake, a old friend of his, had been running from the police for the past month and had to move around a lot to keep them off their tails.
They had crashed into a hotel just outside of San Francisco., where the police haven't locate them.
Chase look around the room, where his friends were. Skye had fallen asleep on the bed, Marshall was cleaning his gun for the tenth time. He couldn't help it. For the last few weeks, he was hunted and almost killed by Cronus. He wanted to help himself.
Lastly, there was Rocky and Jake, who had gotten into another argument over what pizza to get for them.
"I want to get a normal Cheese pizza," said Jake, as he try to grab the phone. "No, MEATLOVERS!" yelled Rocky as the two bicker back and forth, making Chase lose his patience with the two.
"JUST ORDER A NORMAL PIZZA WILL YOU!" shouted Chase, as he yelled at the top of his lungs, silencing the two, while Marshall look on in fear. Luckily for him, Skye was still asleep.
Realizing he just blew his top on his friends, he realize he needed to leave the room. "I'll be back," said Chase as he left the room to his spot while Jake and Rocky just watch.
Chase walk down the hallway to the door to the roof. It was his quiet spot, a place where he can clear his mind of things and he had a lot of things on his mind.
Cronus, Ryder, keeping Skye and the others safe, his goals, his mind wander as he step onto the roof. It also provide a nice view of the San Francisco skyline.
"Stress?" said a familiar voice. Chase turned his head to find Marshall approaching him.
"Sorry about my outburst," said Chase as Marshall sat down next to him. "I have a lot of my mind right now. I just want to find Cronus and put a a bullet in his brain."
"I know," said Marshall as he put his paw on Chase's shoulder. "He nearly took everything from us.
"We will find that enchanted book and we will stop him once and for all," said Chase, as he watch the skyline.
"Well, if we're going at the crack of dawn, then we need to rest," said Marshall as he walked back, with Chase followed close behind.
A few hours earlier: Adventure Bay Police department.
"No sign of them sir," said an officer from NYCD. "They disappeared off the grid again."
The Chief growled.
"Just keep looking for them," said the Chief as he hung up the phone in frustration. He had been tracking the group all over the place. but they could never find them.
"Why, they know we don't believe it's them anymore," said the Chief. "So why do they keep running?"
"Maybe we should talk to Ryder and them again," said an officer as he walk into his office. "Maybe they could tell us more about what happened that day."
"I'm not sure that's a good idea," said the Chief. "They are still dealing with the aftereffects of those nightmares."
"Well, it's worth a shot," said the officer. The Chief thought about this for a moment.
"I guess it is worth another shot," he said. "Let's go to the lookout."
The Chief and the officer drove to the lookout with worry on their minds. Ryder had told them the nightmares were getting worse every passing night.
"To be honest, Chief, I think they should really go see a physiologist or something like that," said the officer.
"They have been," said the Chief as they pulled into the lookout driveway. "But it hasn't been helping them."
The two walk inside and went p the elevator. When they arrive at the top, though, they found Dr. Neuron, their Physiologist, attaching some cables to Zuma's head.
"Um, what's going on here?" ask the Chief as Dr. Neuron finished and turned to look at them.
"He's about to have another of those nightmares and this time I want to see it," said Dr. Neuron as he started his dream machine.
Ryder, the Chief and the officer, Dr. Neuron and the other pups watch in awe as images went by in a flash in a blur until it showed... something.
"Hey," said Rubble, isn't that the tower Chase and Marshall were at?"
Ryder and the Chief watch as Rubble was right. That was the tower, in New York City. But before long, they saw pieces of a fortress fell from the sky, destroying everything until it fell to the ground.
Ryder could swear he saw Chase within it.
Soon, it changed again, this time though, it showed the area after that fortress fell. It was chaos. People were crying and everything with a two mile radius was destroyed.
It look like hell itself.
Suddenly, a piece of rubble moved, and coming out it was... Chase.
He had his swords and his battle armor, but he was glowing pure white, like a angel.
Afterwards, a massive army appeared with Lucifer, ready to rip Chase to sherds.
Anything after that was a blur. They said something, he couldn't understand it. Then another army with Marshall and Rocky appeared and they charge in, and the nightmare end.
The Chief... He couldn't even understand what was going on and he could tell no one else didn't either.
Soon, the Chief and the officer left the lookout, with their minds shaken. Finally, the officer said something.
"That pup knows something and we needed to find out what that is," said the officer.
