I wonder through these dark hallways, winding and bare. Small windows line the walls, letting small pools of moonlight shine through. However, the windows were much too high for me to reach as well as much too small for me to crawl through to escape. So my only decision was to keep walking, my only solace is knowing which way is forward and which one is back. The only sound that could be heard is the taps of my boots as I keep moving. I have no possible idea where I am, all I know is that while Ghost is here he hasn't spoken a word nor come out of his hiding spot on my person. For this reason alone, I let a little bit of worry creep in because this could be truly a dire situation. A dire situation that has yet to reveal itself in the form of enemies, instead everything is silent.

I pull out Ghost again with the hopes that he makes even a small sound to show that he's there and not just an empty shell.

"Ghost?" I hesitantly call out, "Are you okay?"

All he did was dart his eye from side to side before fluttering back into hiding. I took that as my answer as no he isn't okay. I sigh, hefting up my Auto Rifle and keep going. After each bend was the same dark hallway, nothing new, nothing changed. I quickly grew tired of the same surroundings, I wanted to see something different from these hallways with not even something like a split path to choose from. I may not be as destructive as a Titan with their Thundercrash or even the Warlock's Nova Bomb, but I can definitely try to break through these damn walls with my Hunter abilities. So I threw my grenades with as much force as I could muster, it blowing up as soon as it hit the wall and creating a purple void along the wall. I then summon my Shadow Shot, firing the destructive arrows into the same place as the grenade. I check the wall for any kind of damage, a crack, anything. But there was nothing, like I didn't just throw my most destructive abilities I had at the moment at it. I huffed, quickly growing frustrated with the situation. I sat down leaning against the wall, thinking about the moments before Ghost revived me here.

I was fighting off Xivu Arath's forces alongside Mara Sov and her guards. We were freeing Savathun of her worm and crystal prison. There was Hive everywhere, Saint-14 was holding a bubble for a very impressive amount of time. Everything was chaos, until Xivu Arath's new champion had fallen and they all kinda retreated in the same portals they came from. Then we finished the ceremony of separating Savathun's worm from her, but she escaped Osiris being left behind in the rubble. Petra was speculating how Savathun escaped from us so seamlessly. We were sent on our way, and then…

Nothing…

I can't remember anything after that, I didn't go to the Tower, I don't even remember leaving the Dreaming City or the room that we were fighting the Hive in. So what happened? What am I missing? How did I get to this place? I begin to panic, my chest growing tight. I take gulps of air like I can't get enough of it. I bring my hands up to the helmet resting over my head, and I thrust it aside. It felt too constricting, as I continued to desperately breathe. My ears begin to ring, the ringing is too loud, it's overwhelming me. I feel so alone, I need my Light, I need my Ghost, where is Ghost? I need him.

"Ghost? Ghost?!" I cry, desperation leaking into my voice, "I know I've been without you once, but I can't do it again. I need you, please…?"

"Guardian! Hunter!"

My head snapped to the sound of Ghost's voice, searching for my companion, listening for him to say more.

"You've got to snap out of it!" Ghost echoes.

I quickly leap to my feet, running in the direction of my Ghost's voice.

"Ghost?! Where are you?!" I yelled, pausing to listen.

"You can't let her control you!"

I take off running again, his voice sounding so close yet so far at the same time, "Ghost what do you mean? I'm here!"

"Come back to me, please…"

"Ghost? Ghost? What are you talking about?! I'm here!" I cry, searching for my friend.

Then everything is quiet, back to the same quiet it was before. I huff, looking erratically around. I keep sprinting, looking for Ghost and listening for him to call out as well.

"Ghost?!" I yell, before slowing down to a walk and then to a stop.

"Aren't you here too?" I ask, summoning him to my side.

I cup my hands around his shell, to prevent him from leaving quickly again.

"You're here, right?" I ask slowly, staring down at him.

He however didn't say a word, blinking quickly and his eye zipping around just as quickly. His shell trembled slightly in my hands. My hands, the only thing keeping him visible in front of me.

"Ghost? You're here… right?" My own voice trembled at the end.

Not a peep came from him, but the trembling did continue to a much more violent degree. I furrowed my brows at the odd reaction from the normally outgoing ghost. In the end though, I sighed and let him go. I watch him disappear out of sight, leaving me feeling even more alone. So I began the trek back to retrieve my helmet and gun. I don't know what's going on, why Ghost was saying those things about her controlling me and to go back to him. Who's "her"? What did he mean by coming back to him when he's right here with me, right? I'm also in full control of my actions, and where exactly am I anyways?

None of it makes any sense.
