True to my word I am continuing my adventures in my favorite episode "All The World's A Stage '' This time around it's from Billy's POV. I wanted to show that Billy knew more than he let on and he approved of Lee and Amanda being together…I think he did it on purpose..to be honest. He knew from the beginning that they would make a great team!
As always I do not own these amazing characters….just borrowing them as I write these crazy stories that rattle in my head. Thanks and Happy Reading!

Something's Cooking….Something Big - BILLY
Chapter One
Billy Melrose got into the office at his usual eight o five in the morning. He put down his paper, coffee and donut. He laid them down on his desk. He sat down and started looking through the stack of morning paperwork checking to see if there were any red flags or emergencies. He took a sip of his coffee and noticed a script from Tony Martinet. One of his contacts in the Soviet Embassy sent him some pictures of the script. There was some handwriting along the sides of the pages.
Billy picked up his phone and Francine answered "Yes Billy?"
" I need you to take something to both Crypto and Graphology. I want the results ASAP. I have a bad feeling about this. Is Scarecrow here yet?"
" Billy, you know that Lee doesn't get in until about nine…and that's on a good day. But now that I think about it…he has been getting here earlier. Wonder what that's about?"
Billy chuckled "I am sure that's his partner's influence. I heard that she was here at seven thirty. She's in the Q bureau working with Leatherneck on locks and picks."
Francine sighed "Just what we need. Amanda King to learn how to pick a lock. What's next Billy? You aren't going to have her try shooting again?"
Billy laughed. "Amanda will eventually get that. Now come get this script. I would like the results before Lee gets in!"
Billy put down the phone and took a bite of his donut. He knew that Jeanie would kill him if she knew that he had one every morning. But it seemed to give him some peace each morning. Plus he couldn't resist something sweet every day. He wondered if Amanda would bring in one of her cakes or pies soon. Damn that woman can bake! Is there anything she can't do? Leatherneck said she's getting pretty good at picking locks. Maybe it's time to think about getting her into the freshman agent program. I will have a chat with Dr. Smyth and see what he thinks. I know that he's not too happy about a housewife turned agent…but Amanda has done wonders. And she's kept Lee Stetson in line! I knew that putting them together was the best decision I have ever made.
As Billy thought about the team of Scarecrow and Mrs. King, he glanced out of the window and saw that Lee Stetson had walked into the bullpen. The man had a huge grin on his face. He seems happy these days. I wonder if it's finally hit him that Amanda is the one. Maybe I need to talk to Francine. She seems to see a lot more than I do when it comes to Lee and Amanda. Knowing her, she's on top of all of the gossip around here.
Billy stood up and opened his office door. "Scarecrow…." He called out. Lee looked up from the file he was glancing at and nodded. Lee walked into Billy's office and smiled at his boss.
"Morning Billy. What's up?"
"I have something up in Crypto and Graphology that I would like to talk to you and Amanda about. Can you go get her and come back down? It should be ready by the time you get back down here. Something's cooking…I can feel it."
Lee chuckled. His smile was a mile wide and his dimples came out in full force. "What do you think it is?"
Billy shook his head. "I am not sure. I just have a bad feeling. Amanda's up in the Q with Leatherneck. He's showing her how to pick locks. He says she's getting pretty good."
Lee smiled at the mention of Amanda. It did not go unnoticed by Billy. Anytime someone mentioned the Arlington housewife Lee would immediately break out in a smile. This boy has it bad! It's like a teenage crush for Pete's sake. He just needs to come clean and talk to Amanda. Billy thought to himself as Lee stood up and walked towards the door. "I'll be right back Billy."
Ten minutes later Billy met up with Lee and Amanda as they were getting off the elevator.
"What's up Billy?"
Billy opened the file he had in his hand. "I'm not exactly sure what we have here but one of our contacts inside the Soviet Embassy managed to photograph several pages of this script by Tony Martinet."
Lee chuckled and said sarcastically. "Parisian Intrigue?"
Amanda smiled and piped up "Yeah he was hot a couple of years ago. The critics even compared him to Edward Albee"
'I didn't know you were such a drama buff?" Lee sounded surprised. Billy smirked as they walked into his office. There is a lot about Amanda King that you don't know, Scarecrow. Maybe it's time you stopped being stupid and find out! It's written all over your face! I think he's in love with her. He has to be. Amanda on the other hand….I wonder. She's always had a crush on Lee…but I think she's waiting for him. She's one smart cookie!
Amanda said "Well, actually it was my professor at UVA who got me interested. He loved Martinet. He had us read all his plays and I was even in a performance that the drama club put on!"
Billy smiled at her. "Precisely why I thought you might help us figure out why the Russians are interested."
" Oh look at that. Someone's made a lot of notes in the margin."
"Someone didn't like Martinet's words…they tried to change it to….You look sad tonight. Crystal dewdrops of dashed dreams! Insult your eyes?""
"Oh come on. That's not Martinet!"
Billy looked at Amanda. "But what is? A deep background on the man will take several days. His career took a nose dive in the late 70's and since then there hasn't even been a scratch on his file."
Amanda looked almost sad. "It's too bad. People thought he had a lot of talent."
Lee piped up "Well, someone still does. According to this he's directing the world premier of Parisian Intrigue at a Georgetown Theater. Opens Friday."
Billy sat at his desk after giving Lee and Amanda their assignments. He looked out into the bullpen and he sighed. He shushed Francine during their discussion of the case. He really didn't mean to but he wasn't in the mood to hear Francine bad mouthing Amanda. Normally he loved hearing the banter between the three of them. It made him feel like a proud dad sometimes. Amanda King was coming into her own as an agent. Francine needed to be reminded of that. He chuckled as he thought of the look Francine had given him. Lee wasn't even phased by it. He was looking at Amanda. That boy better tell her soon how he feels about her…otherwise he's gonna burst!
Billy pushed his thoughts regarding his favorite team aside and got to working on the endless pile of paperwork on his desk. It was going to be a long day.
