For centuries Bantons lived on the forested planet of Faultoth, migrating to and from colonies in an endless cycle to allow sites of their homes furrow and farrow, time to replenish from use and abuse….Their gods were organized into ten levels of worship, and even their lowest gods were named of seasons that altered their routine migrations…Humankind showed itself to Faultoth, and the only god Humankind believed in was itself.

And what did Humankind desire, but nothing less than the universe….Culmina Secta, its virgin planet Faultoth, falls to being claimed as a "resource world" for Humankind…Little can stop the Assembly, what with their powerful technologies and masses of armored Assembly-men and -women….Fauloth will be taken, the Bantons removed from their way of living, no longer at peace due to the rapidly changing world come upon them.

But for one lone Banton, a "girah" named Sieis, who meets Dr. Catherine Smythe, a xenobiologist with a compassionate heart and a penchant for doing things her way, there may be a hope for the "Bantonverse".
