Originally this fanfic came from Wattpad as I put images along with original art in. However, I am starting college soon and I won't have as much time to draw for this fic but I want to keep writing. I decided to be like the author of Re:Zero Hour and upload the story here and then update the Wattpad books with original art at a later time. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the story.

Chapter 1: To Start from Zero

11:55 PM, Rural Japan 1917

Kaoi POV

"Caw, Caw, your destination is close, Caw Caw"

"Alright I get it, now will you SHUT THE HELL UP, TERUO!"

I swear to whatever god is out there, the people who trained these kasugai crows purposely made them annoying. I sigh as Teruo lands softly on my shoulder. At least I know that I'm close to my mission. Hell, I can see the forest right now.

As of right now, I am traveling to Oyama forest where demon activity to said to be taken place and I am sent there to assess the situation.

I take a look at my pocket watch to see the time.

"Almost 12, huh"

I said as I start to look off in the distance.

In a few hours, Rengoku-san and those four will be boarding the train.

To say things have been tense in the Demon Slayer Corp would be an understatement. From what Rengoku-sama told me is that at the end of the Mount Natagumo mission, a demon slayer that has been traveling with a demon was brought to light. That news alone would cause a massive uproar among the core. Especially among the Hashiras that had worked so hard to eliminate every single demon in their paths.

However, their trial concluded in Ubuyashiki-sama's pardon of the two with the caveat that if the Demon were to eat any human. The demon was to be killed along with the slayer she was traveling with, the Tomioka-san the Water Hashira, and Urokodaki the former Water Hashira committing seppuku.

To be truthful, hearing this pulled on my heartstrings as I feel sympathy for the young recruit's plight to turn his sister back into a human.

Now those two along with their companions are going on the very same mission my master is taking aboard that Train.

"Caw, Caw, We're here, We're here, Caw, Caw"

The obnoxious yelling of my crow takes me out of my train of thought.

"Huh, it seems that we have arrived"

I said while standing at the entrance of the forest. Immieaditly what caught my eye is this mysterious Torii gate with no shrine insight.

Although I have no time to dwell on this nor on the situation of the four accompanying my master as I am sure Rengoku-san will be okay.

With that in mind, I began to walk under the abandoned Torii gate.

Suddenly I began to feel dizzy as I start rubbing my eyes. Must be exhaustion from all the traveling I have been doing. I got to get a good sleep after this. Lest I will be taken down by a demon due to fatigue.

After I started to feel okay I removed my hand expecting to still see the dark forest of the night to instead see . . . . .

. . . . . a marketplace where human animals are walking by in the daytime.

"WHAT?!"

I stood there in shock at the sight I am currently beholding. Animal people walking around in western clothes, carriages being drawn by giant walking lizard creatures and non of this seem to phase any of the humans that I do see.

Have I been somehow transported to a different world? If so, what would be the cause and the reason? A demon blood art, an ability that powerful would surely belong to one of the Twelve Kizuki, but then why would one wait in the forest to just sending wandering demon slayers to another world? The reports that brought me to the forest mentioned no mysterious disappearings only the usual devouring of humans.

Could the mysterious Torii gate have something to do with this?

Anyhow, these questions don't matter for now. I need to assess my position and find a way to navigate my new environment.

Thus, I began my trek in this strange city. From what I can tell the culture around here reminds me of the medieval era that is depicted in English stories. These animal people are a race from what I overhear are called demi-humans and . . .

"HEY, WATCH OUT!"

A yell behind me catches my attention as I see a child has fallen in front of the carriages being drawn by the giant lizards and is about to be run over.

Before I knew it, I immediately went into total concentration: breathing as I jumped into the road to grab the child. I instantly wrapped my arms around him as I then rolled out of the way of the incoming carriages.

Taking a moment to process what just happen. I came to the sounds of people cheering me for saving the boy.

"Caw, Caw, The child is safe, Caw, Caw"

I quickly became startled as my kasugai crow, Teruo started obnoxiously yelling again. I didn't even realize he came with me. Guess he was so stunned he couldn't speak until now.

Anyway, I looked down at the child to make sure he is okay.

"Hey, you okay?"

"Yeah, thanks for saving me"

"No problem, just be careful next time"

"Will do, mister"

Resuming my walk around the city, I eventually came across a street of fruit and vegetable vendors when one called to my attention. Once again interrupting my thoughts.

I feel like this is going to be a thing.

"Hey, boy, you interested in buying some appas?" The older man asked with a smile.

Ignoring the strange word he used to call the apple in his hand. I replied with "Sure, how much?"

"About two copper coins."

"Do you accept foreign currency?" I asked when I showed him a single sen coin.

"No, but the material looks valuable. Tell you what you give me about six of those coins and we can call it a deal." said the man with green hair.

After making the exchange, I go back to my thoughts as I eat half of the appa as I gave the rest to crow companion. I walked into an alley as I thought I would be less likely to be disturbed. It seems that the money in my possession is going to be useless, so I would need to secure a method of income.

"Hey, you! If you don't want to get hurt then drop everything thing you have and walk away"

I just can't get two minutes of thinking without someone calling out to me. I begrudgingly turned back to see three thugs of various heights.

Instinctively, Teruo flew up to one of the buildings as I prepare for a fight I'm hoping to avoid.

"Look, guys, I am having a pretty weird day, so I am not in the mood for this right now. How about you guys just leave before things get rough" I said with a serious tone.

"Yeah right, come one it's three on one do you think you can take on all of us?" said Lizard Face.

"I don't know, Chin, the guy has a sword," said Mushroom Head.

As if I would need my blade for you low-level thugs.

The big one was going to speak next but was interrupted by an unknown voice.

"Move it, Move it"

The thugs and I turn to look overhead to see a blonde red-eyed girl running towards us.

"Hurry up. Move it you guys!" yelled the running blond.

She then proceeded to move past us to jump from wall to wall. Landing upon the roof of one of the buildings and then continue running like her life depended on it.

"Well that was random," I said not really knowing how else to respond.

Although almost immeaditly I was then set upon by the three thugs. Unfourntaly for them, I am much faster as I gave the big one a mean right hook. Which was followed up by a hard kick to Mushroom Head's face. Lizard Face then pulled out these two daggers from his back. He goes in to stab me, only for me to dodge and then quickly grab both of his wrists. We stayed for a moment until I hear the others getting back up.

I need to finish this quickly

I then pulled Lizard Face towards me so I can get behind him to chop the behind of his neck to knock him out.

"CHIN!" yelled his compatriots as they rush towards me.

Only for me to get behind them and do them the same courtesy as I did to lizard face.

Well with that out of the way I can continue figuring out what to do now that I am here in a brand new world. Maybe follow that blond girl to see what is her deal.

"Hold it right there, Villian!" yelled out another unknown voice.

Damn it, when did people start clamoring for my attention all of a sudden! I thought bitterly

I turn around once again to see who is calling out to me and what I saw admittedly took my breath away from me.

Another girl, but this one is more mature than the one that passed through here. Not to mention the locks of silver that flow through the air accompanying her piercing amethyst eyes. While I have seen beautiful women such as the Insect and Love Hashiras respectively. Something about her just amazes me.

"I order that you cease your actions and give back to me what you stole" she demands.

It took me a while to process what she says, but when it finally hits me. I had only one thing to say.

"What?!"
