A different version of My Celestial Princess: this will be years before the events of the original version. Instead of Trunks being 20 & Skya being 16—& so on & so fourth, Trunks will be 12, Skya will be 8. This will also be a completely different universe: names & ages have changed for everyone, & families may be a bit different

For 1 entire day, Bulma rented a private area of a beach for a party with family & friends. While there, Trunks hears something before just seconds before anyone else—& he takes off first with the others right behind him. What they find shocks them to the core: a woman, half dead, & a little girl, to whom Trunks feels an immediate connection to. Yes, they've seen scenes of death & carnage before, but nothing like that.

When Vegeta, Bulma, Goku, Chi-Chi, & the others show up, they're just as shocked—but none more than Vegeta; he recognizes that woman. After very little discussion, Vegeta & Bulma agree to take the little girl in.

8:20 AM:

"Come on, everyone; we have to get going! I only have the beach for eight to twelve hours give or take!" Bulma yelled from the front door.

"Listen to your mother!" Vegeta yelled, walking inside after packing the vehicle.

"I thought you had it all day." Trunks replied, walking over.

"Why eight to twelve?" Bulla asked, confused.

"Because it's supposed to storm tonight—and they're going to be nasty. I've had this beach day planned and booked for the end of the summer for three months now. I can't just reschedule all willy-nilly; I was lucky enough to get this day. Now, come on; it's not supposed to start storming until tonight." Bulma answered before ushering everyone out the door.

"Who's all coming again?" Trunks, Bulla, and Vegeta asked once they were in the van.

"Goku, Chi-Chi, Goten, and Chihiro. Hercule is taking Pan for the weekend, so Gohan and Videl are coming as well. Daiko and Nina were able to leave Chaya and Larissa with her parents, so they're coming. And they're bringing Leriac, Triton, and Corrion along with them. Depending on whatever, Piccolo and Dende may show up. Tien and Chiaotzu are coming with Krillin, Eighteen, and Marron. Yamcha's bringing his new girlfriend—I think he said her name was Maya or something like that. And I was finally able to get a hold of Martius and Aurora: they're coming with Nova. Master Roshi wanted to come. But between it's not on the same waters as his island, and he did something to his back; he's unable to make it." Bulma answered, driving down the road.

"Awww man! Nova's going to be there? You invited her?" Bulla asked in a whiny tone.

"That's what she said." Trunks responded, leaning back in his seat.

"Yes, I invited them. I invited Martius and Aurora, so that means I also invited their daughter. They don't have very many friends and don't get invited to many fun or exciting functions." Bulma calmly answered.

"Because their Martians, and nobody likes Martians!" Bulla exclaimed, annoyed.

"Bulla Briefs!" "I don't care what nobody likes; this family—including you are not nobody. You and your brother are half Saiyan, making you half aliens just as much as them. That's because I'm a full Saiyan. Your mother is the only one here that's not an alien whatsoever, yet she accepted me—and Kakarot. She's a big part that you and your brother are here now. And let's get one thing straight for the record: Martius and Aurora are not Martians; they hate that term. Martius is or was the king of Mars and Aurora was queen of the Sun. People of Mars are called "Ariens." People of the Sun are called "Soleons." So, Nova is half Arien and half Soleon. Lose the attitude." Vegeta sternly and firmly scolded Bulla.

"Fine. Whatever. I'm sorry. But either way, Nova is an entitled, spoiled brat!" Bulla argued.

"Ok. That's enough of that, Young Lady! They haven't been on Earth for even a year yet. Aurora came to me and apologized for how she's seen Nova acting toward not only you, but the others as well. Aurora explained that much like she and her husband were, Nova is still scared. And as unfortunate as it is, this is how she's lashing out. It wouldn't kill you to be nicer and try to understand what they're going through. Keep it up and I will get a hold of someone to take you to spend the day at Master Roshi's with Master Roshi and Turtle while the rest of us enjoy the beach. Because right now, it seems to me that you're the one who is acting spoiled and entitled." Bulma had enough and strictly informed Bulla.

"Sorry." Bulla mumbled.

"Now, it's still half an hour away, so let's all calm down and have a nice relaxing ride." Bulma added, taking a deep breath.

An Hour Later:

"Hey!" Chi-Chi and Videl called, walking over to Bulma along with Goku, Gohan, Goten, Chihiro, Yamcha, and Yamcha's girlfriend, Maya.

"Well—that's not creepy at all." Bulla spoke first after noticing that Maya looked just like Bulma—her mother.

'He's certainly not over her.' Trunks, Gohan, and Goten, thought to themselves, watching Yamcha walk over with Maya.

"Be nice. Vegeta—behave." Bulma scolded Bulla and Vegeta.

"Bulma, kids, Vegeta: this is my girlfriend, Maya. Maya: this is my longtime friend—and ex-girlfriend, Bulma, her husband, and their children, Trunks and Bulla." Yamcha introduced everyone.

"Hi, Maya. It's nice to finally meet you; we've heard a lot about you. This is my husband, Vegeta." Bulma politely greeted.

"He, however, failed to mention how much you look just like my Bulma." Vegeta added, possessively holding onto Bulma.

"Vegeta…" "Oh, I do not look like that hag. I am so much younger and prettier. I also don't have bags under my eyes—or crow's feet." Bulma started, only to stop in shock when Maya spoke up.

"Ok. Let's all just have a good time." Yamcha spoke up, stepping between Maya and Bulma when he saw the look on Bulma's face.

"You sure do know how to pick them lately, don't you? Listen here, Little girl: you may be younger, but your sure as hell not more beautiful than my perfect wife; you don't even come close—not even half an inch." Vegeta rudely told Maya.

Usually, Bulma would say something, but she was so pissed off at Maya's disrespect. However, she was also in awe of Vegeta's compliment. Not only that, but he complimented her in front of their friends—including Goku; he rarely ever did that.

"And just so you're aware: Mom only has bags under her eyes because she was up half the night preparing everything for everyone—including you flabby behind. Oh, and she doesn't have crow's feet." Bulla defended her mother.

"What are you doing?" Maya questioned Trunks after noticing him circling her.

"Just counting the zits, blackheads, and pimples all over. You have a few especially large ones on you face. Right there, and there, and there. Oh, and just by some scars I've seen; I can tell you've had a few different plastic surgeries. Your boobs are fake, and your tucked ass is just as fake. I'm pretty sure your lips and nose are fake as well. So, your body is just as fake as you." Trunks answered, pointing out where he saw blemishes. He then announced how many plastic surgeries—she recently had.

"You told me none of these were noticeable! And why didn't you tell me I had pimples all over?! I thought you loved me! How could you just let them say all that to me?! And you two: how could you just let your brats disrespect me like that?!" Maya screeched—at everyone.

"We may be brats, but we can't very well be disrespectful when we're just stating the truth. If you want disrespectful, you should hold that mirror just right at your face. You're the one who was just disrespecting our mother—our mother who was kind enough to allow Yamcha to bring you along with. Our mother who made enough—and probably extra so you could eat." Trunks retorted, continuing to defend his mother.

"Why you…" "Lay your hand on my child and I will break it faster than you can blink." Maya raised her hand to Trunks. Bulma didn't take that well at all.

"You're being too generous." Vegeta grumbled, folding his arms over his chest.

"You call that generous?!" Maya screeched.

"Maya, I wouldn't if I were you." Yamcha started trying to give Maya some advice.

"And you! How could you just let them talk about me like this?! Why aren't you defending me?!" Maya yelled at Yamcha.

"Well, to be fair, you were the one who disrespected Bulma first—at her party. And her kids are just defending her." Yamcha replied.

"Oh, my God! You are obsessed with that hag! Of course, they're defending their slut of a mother; they're her kids! What about you? What's your excuse?! You're supposed to be defending me! You know what? I don't even care; we're done!" Maya yelled, insulting Bulma some more.

"Yes, my wife was being very generous In just breaking your hand. If I were the one who was saying anything; I would've said, "touch my kid, and it'll be the last thing you ever do—ever." I have no problems going to jail for my family. Oh, and by the way: my wife isn't a slut; that would be you." Vegeta answered Maya's question, popping up behind and scaring the shit out of her.

"Being Saiyan, most police are afraid of you." Chi-Chi noted, walking over.

"This is true." Everyone agreed.

"You're all freaks! You can all fuck off and go to Hell!" Maya screamed at everyone before running away in fear at the look in Vegeta's eyes.

"What was that all about?" Krillin and Eighteen asked, walking over with Marron.

"What's with the crazy woman running up the sandbank?" Piccolo asked, not really caring. He showed up with Dende, Tien, and Chiaotzu.

"That was Yamcha's ex-girlfriend. She was being disrespectful, and Mr. Vegeta had to threaten him." Chihiro spoke up.

"Enough said." Krillin replied, knowing better than to ask any more than that.

"Do you want me to leave?" Yamcha asked, watching Bulma.

"You can stay, so long as you promise to never bring her around if you should ever get back together." Bulma answered, narrowing her eyes at him.

"Yes, of course. Not. Of course, not." Yamcha replied.

"Good. As for you two: I'm so glad you could make it." Bulma happily told Piccolo and Dende.

"Thank you for inviting me, but I can only stay for two or there hours. I have to get back to the Lookout and keep an eye on things? Mr. Popo offered to do it for me until I got back, but he said he had something to do. Oh, and he says thanks for the invitation, but he has something he needs to do." Dende replied, bowing a little.

"What about you, Piccolo?" Goku asked with a dorky smile.

"I have nothing to do, but I don't know how long I'll stay." Piccolo replied.

"Well, I'm glad you could come either way." Bulma told them with a smile.

"So, what can we do?" Tien asked, itching to do something so he wasn't just standing there.

"Of course. Why don't you, Yamcha, Piccolo, and Goku set up the volleyball areas? After that, you could set up the umbrellas in that area over there. Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan, Goten, and Krillin are putting the grills together. I believe Chi-Chi, Eighteen, and Videl are going to help me set up the food areas. Bulla, Chihiro, and Marron: if you could help us, that'd be great. That just leaves Dende and Chiaotzu. You two help whoever you'd like." Bulma told everyone.

"Hey! Sorry we're late! We got a little lost!" Four adults called, walking over with three boys and one girl: Daiko and Nina and their sons, Leriac, Triton, and Corrion. And Martius and Aurora, and their daughter, Nova.

Daiko, Martius, and Aurora were carrying over several picnic tables.

"Vegeta go help them." Bulma ordered.

"You too, Goku." Chi-Chi demanded.

"I'll go as well." Gohan insisted, heading over to help.

Daiko, Martius, and Aurora each had two picnic tables: one in each hand.

"Thank you." Daiko, Martius, and Aurora thanked Vegeta, Goku, and Gohan when they each took a picnic table from them.

"Yeah, yeah." "No problem." "Happy to help." Vegeta, Goku, and Gohan replied, walking down the picnic tables.

"Just set them over in that area." Bulma instructed, pointing to the enclosed structure in case of weather.

"What can we help with?" Nina asked, walking over with Nova.

"Nina, you can for sure help me, Chi-Chi, Videl, Eighteen, and Aurora. And then along with Bulla, Chihiro, and Marron, Nova can help wherever they can." Bulma answered with a smile.

"What do you want us to do?" Daiko and Martius asked.

"Well, I suppose I'm running out of jobs. Bulla, Chihiro, Marron, and Nova: please stay where we can see you. But you can play in the sand if you wish. If you two want to start sticking the umbrellas in the sand, that'd be great." Bulma told the girls before responding to Daiko and Martius.

"And stay out of the water!" Bulma, Chi-Chi, Eighteen, and Aurora yelled when they noticed their daughters about to run into the water.

"Listen to your mother, or you'll be sitting at a picnic table for the rest of the day, and you can watch everyone else have fun! Chihiro and Marron: that goes for you two as well!" Vegeta yelled to Bulla, Chihiro, and Marron. Goku is an idiot and would allow Chihiro to play wherever, and Krillin couldn't say "no" to Marron.

"You too, young lady!" Martius called to Nova.

"I told you they wouldn't go for it." Bulla grumbled to Nova.

"Whatever. No, you didn't." Nova retorted.

"Those two will never get along." Leriac told Trunks and Goten, watching Bulla and Nova go back and forth.

"Nope." Trunks and Goten agreed.

"So, you and Nova connected, I hear." Leriac spoke with Goten.

"Yep. Mom's not too thrilled about it; she says I'm too young. She likes Nova and all, but we're still too young." Goten replied, working on a grill.

"Martius isn't thrilled either, but it seems he's accepting of them. And Aurora seems to be ok with it. They're cooler than one would think with their nine-year-old daughter having a mate already. But I suppose, at least Goten is only eleven; he's only two years older than her." Trunks replied, also working on a grill.

"Do your parents know about you and Bulla yet?" Goten asked, looking at Trunks and Leriac.

"Yep." Trunks and Leriac replied at the same time.

"Dad couldn't be anymore happier; he respects and worships Vegeta and Bulma. And Mom gets along really well with Bulma. And they both love Bulla and have openly welcomed her into the family." Leriac continued.

"Don't let Mom hear you calling her by her name: now that you and Bulla have officially connected, you're to call her "Mom" or "Ma." Dad, as hard as he tries to deny it, likes Leriac. But he gets along really well with Daiko—and Daiko gets along with everybody except Yamcha; he can't stand him, and he doesn't hide it. I think he and Dad bond over that. But honestly, it is a little weird that Dad is so ok with Leriac because he always swore up and down that Bulla would never date—over his dead body. But whatever; I get a brother—in a sense." Trunks added.

"That is weird. But I suppose it'd be a good thing too, right?" Goten asked, watching Trunks.

"Yes, it is. But it's still weird. I swear something is going on or something." Trunks replied, finishing setting up his grill.

"Only time will tell, right?" Leriac asked.

"Right." Trunks and Goten replied.

Half An Hour Later:

"Ok. Everything's set up. Go have fun. We'll start cooking food in an hour or so." Bulma informed everyone.

"Does that mean we can go swimming now?" Bulla, Chihiro, Marron, and Nova asked.

"Yes. Just stay where we can see you. Do not go farther than those buoys." Chi-Chi and Bulma replied, letting the girls go swimming.

"What are you boys going to do?" Goku asked, looking at Trunks, Goten, Leriac, Triton, and Corrion.

"We were thinking about watching Gohan and Videl make out—and practically have sex in the sand." Goten and Trunks answered, motioning to Gohan and Videl—who were rolling around in the sand, making out.

"Ah! Go swimming! Watch your sister! Gohan! Videl! There are children present! And that's how you got Pan!" Chi-Chi frantically ordered, running after Gohan and Videl to stop them—and then lecture them.

"Just go swimming and watch your sister and the girls." Bulma told Trunks, trying so hard not to laugh.

"I'm sorry to pry, but what race are you? I don't think we had to chance to learn yet." Aurora asked Nina.

"I am a Neptite Water Sprite. What that means is my mother was from Neptune; she fell from Neptune into the ocean. My father was a protector of the ocean my mother fell in. That's how my parents met. He took her to Poseidon and begged him to help her. Poseidon saw she was from Neptune and turned her into a Water Sprite because he realized my mother was the queen of Neptune at the time. But Poseidon and my grandparents made a deal: save their daughter, and they would always watch over the oceans of Earth. However, the catch was that Mom would forever have to stay on Earth. But they didn't always need to live in the ocean, but Mom and Dad visit twice a month for the weekend. I only found that out after Leriac was born. We visit for a week at a time every other month. The boys, Leriac especially, hates visiting for that long. He doesn't mind visiting, but he doesn't like staying more than two days at the most. But anyway: shortly after my mom arrived, other Neptites started coming to the oceans and became water sprites. Why do you ask?" Nina explained before asking.

"I was just wondering why I got a planet vibe from you, but not which one. I also knew you had to be something water based because I've seen you and your boys all controlling water in different ways." Aurora replied.

"I've met your grandparents of Neptune before with my dad when they had some kind of meeting years ago. The Sun and Mars were allies of the Moon, Venus, Neptune, and Mercury." Martius told Nina.

"Yes, I know. We try to ally with other planets because we don't want war. However, I suppose that's not really possible. I know Neptune and the ocean I'm from, ally with Mars, Venus, Mercury, the Sun, and the Moon. We used to ally with Uranus, but they recently joined forces with Jupiter and Saturn. And I know Pluto wishes to stay out of it all; they want nothing to do with nothing." Nina replied.

"Really? Uranus joined up with Jupiter? I didn't see that one coming. Sure, we weren't allies with them, but still." Aurora spoke up, shocked.

"It is shocking that they'd sink that low. Though, at the same time, not so much. As Nina stated, Pluto wants nothing to do with war or fighting—which is why they seceded as a fighting planet, and all their warriors renounced any and all weapons they had. Although, I have it in good authority that they never got rid of their weapons—that they buried them in a large underground titanium safe. But most planets are at war with Jupiter. Earth isn't because it's the only planet Jupiter fears and respects. And it has Saiyans." Martius explained.

"Why would Saiyans being on Earth matter?" Bulma asked, confused.

"Saiyans are far stronger than any Juptarian out there." Vegeta plainly answered.

"Vegeta's father took out three hundred Juptarians at one time—by himself years ago. Vegeta took out over one hundred by himself when he was just thirteen. Now, that's only one Saiyan by themselves. Imagine what an entire Saiyan army could do. So, Jupiter swore to stay away from Saiyan territory and Saiyans agreed to stop killing Juptarians, and to stay away from Jupiter." Daiko excitedly answered.

"But enough about all that. Today is supposed to be about the three Fs: Family, Friends, and Fun. So let's do all that." Nina insisted, changing the subject.

And just like that, several two-second water tunnels came shooting from the ocean. They splashed down on Goku, Daiko, Krillin, Piccolo, Tien, Yamcha, Martius, and Vegeta.

Chiaotzu and Dende were able to avoid them by teleporting above the ocean.

Nina kept herself, Bulma, Chi-Chi, Aurora, and Eighteen dry by deflecting the water tunnels back at the senders: Leriac, Triton, and Corrion.

"Awww! Come on, Mom! Have some fun! Get in the water!" Triton yelled while Corrion backed up a little, and Leriac sunk into the water.

Goku, Daiko, Krillin, and even Tien were laughing their asses off.

Piccolo, Vegeta, and Martius were too shocked to say anything.

"My hair!" Yamcha was spazzing out, complaining about his hair getting wet with ocean water.

"Oh, Yamcha, relax; it's just water!" Bulma called, slightly annoyed.

The next thing everyone knew: Bulla, Chihiro, Marron, and Nova threw buckets of water on Bulma, Chi-Chi, Eighteen, and Aurora from behind them.

"Come on, girls; it's just water!" Yamcha called with a smile.

"Let's get them." Aurora instructed, leading the chase after the girls, into the water.

"At least it's just water." Dende spoke to Piccolo.

"Yeah." Piccolo muttered, watching everyone around him.

Being from the Sun and Mars and being able to control heat, Martius and Aurora were able to keep the water warm.

Nina, Leriac, and Triton kept the water calm and unwanted sea creatures away.

Vegeta got back at all the kids for dumping water on him—as did Martius.

One way or another, everybody was having fun.

Bulma, Chi-Chi, Videl, Aurora, and Nina started making lunch at around noon—half an hour later. But nobody seemed to care until Goku and a few others began complaining that they were hungry.

Nearly Five Hours Later:

4:40 PM:

Everyone helped take down and put things away so that Bulma and her family didn't have to be there all night. By the time they were done, the only things Bulma, Vegeta, Trunks, and Bulla had to worry about were the leftover food and the volleyball net and beach balls.

"Thanks for inviting us again." Nina thanked Bulma and Vegeta, getting ready to head out.

"Thanks for coming. And thank you all for helping." Bulma replied.

Dende left three hours ago.

Yamcha helped pick some things up, but he left two hours ago. He got a cab because Goku, Chi-Chi, and the kids weren't ready to go yet.

Tien, Chiaotzu, Krillin, Eighteen, and Marron left an hour ago after taking the trash out.

"Vegeta." A voice in the wind whispered in Vegeta's ear, causing him to turn and look every which way.

At the same time, Nina was about to hug Bulma, but she froze instead.

"Nina? Vegeta? Is everything ok?" Bulma asked, concerned, getting the others' attention.

"What's wrong, Dear?" Daiko asked right away.

"Mom?" Leriac, Triton, and Corrion asked, concerned.

"What's going on?" Martius and Aurora asked.

"Did you hear that voice just now?" Vegeta asked, looking around.

"No. But maybe Nina did." Bulma replied, watching Nina.

Suddenly, she took a deep breath and looked around.

"What's wrong?" Everyone asked, looking at her.

"Venus has fallen—and the Moon is being attacked." Nina dully answered.

"WHAT?!" Vegeta roared, shocking the ones who knew him most.

"I'm sorry." Nina apologized.

"It's not your fault. Vegeta, what's going on?" Bulma asked after gently telling Nina.

"Venus is where Vegeta last saw his first love." Daiko spoke.

"Excuse me?!" Bulma questioned.

"I'm not going to snap because I really didn't know you well then—and you didn't know me other than what you heard. So, I'm not going to snap or yell at you. But for once and for all: she was not my lover, let alone first love. She was just a friend. And yes, maybe I did love her, but not in that way; she was more like a sister. Even if I did have those feelings for her; she had her love already. Also, I didn't feel the pull toward her that I feel toward Bulma because I connected with and only love Bulma." Vegeta firmly told Daiko through gritted teeth.

"Oh, wow. Sorry. I was just going on what Raditz and Nappa told us." Daiko sincerely apologized.

"That's what I figured." Vegeta grumbled.

"So, who was she—this girl you liked so much? Was she nice? Do you think she'd hang out with us?" Goku asked, interested while Bulma stared at him; he had never mentioned any other females in his life.

"Mommy!" Trunks heard what sounded like a young girl cry out. However, he put it to the back of his head because it didn't seem like any of the others heard.

"Mommy!" Trunks heard the voice again. And then all he could hear was crying.

"It sure is getting dark out. Maybe we should head home and discus this all there." Chi-Chi suggested, looking at the sky.

"Mommy, wake up!"

"Yes, I agree." Bulma replied.

"Please! Mommy!"

"Trunks, is something wrong?" Goten asked, pulling everyone's attention to them.

The moment Bulma and Vegeta saw Trunks, they noticed he looked lost or something.

"Mommy! Ahh!" That was it; he couldn't take it anymore. That scream was from a little girl in deep trouble.

"I have to go! She's in trouble!" Trunks suddenly exclaimed, shocking everyone before taking off.

"Trunks, wait up!" Gohan, Goten, and Leriac yelled, flying after Trunks.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Go after them!" Bulma, Chi-Chi, and Nina yelled at their husbands.

"Where are you going?" Chi-Chi asked Bulma when she started running.

"I'm going to get my son!" Bulma yelled.

"Wait for me; I'm coming with!" Chi-Chi called, running after them.

"Bring my son back!" Nina called after them.

"Stay here and watch the kids. Listen to Nina and Videl." Aurora and Martius told those who were left.

"Go." Videl told Piccolo.

"Are you sure you'll be ok here by yourselves?" Piccolo gruffly asked.

"Yes. Now, just go." Videl insisted.

Elsewhere:

"Trunks!"

"Trunks!"

"Wait up! Trunks!"

"Mommy!"

Trunks could barely hear his parents and friends calling for him; he could hear a little girl's painful cries. Her cries for her mom. He just kept flying to where the cries were coming from.

However, nothing he did could prepare him for what he was about to see next.

With Vegeta, Goku, & Daiko:

"Do you hear a child?" Daiko seriously asked.

"Yeah. And she's in trouble." Vegeta replied, determined to find this girl.

"How do you know it's a girl?" Goku asked, confused.

"I'm sure because of the way Trunks is acting; this girl is most likely his mate. And before either of you say anything: I know for a fact my son is not gay. And no, I wouldn't have a problem if he were, but I know he's not." Vegeta replied, only slightly annoyed.

"But how do you know for sure?" Goku asked, still confused.

"Because Kakarot: he's a twelve-year-old boy of both Saiyan and Human descent. You know what? Just never mind. Keep focused: you never know what's going on." Vegeta, now annoyed, replied before changing the subject.

With Bulma, Chi-Chi, Aurora, & Martius:

"Do you hear a child?" Chi-Chi asked Bulma.

"Oh, good; it's not just me." Bulma replied as they kept going.

"That voice." Aurora spoke, almost horrified.

"I know." Martius solemnly replied.

"Do you know the child that we all hear?" Bulma asked, concerned.

"Possibly." "Aurora. You know it's her." Martius sternly interrupted Aurora, keeping focused.

"Who is she?" Bulma demanded, becoming frustrated.

"By the way you're acting—and how your husband may be reacting—and most certainly how your son is reacting: this girl is your son's mate." Martius replied.

"What's her name?" Chi-Chi asked when she noticed the shocked look on Bulma's face.

"Not right now." Martius replied.

"It's our way of keeping focus. And it keeps our emotions in check in case of something like this." Aurora dully answered.

"Something like this? What the hell does that mean?!" Bulma snapped back to reality.

"Mommy!" They heard the girl cry again.

Back With Trunks:

By the time Trunks finally got to the girl, he stopped in horrific shock:

A woman lay, half dead on the beach—and half in the water. She was covered in cuts—more like gashes and blood.

A little girl sat on her knees, pushing on the woman, desperately trying to get her to respond.

The little girl was covered in blood, but nothing close to her mother and looked relatively unharmed. She maybe had a few cuts and some bruises.

Oh, and there was blood all around the two, making it look like a bloodbath—or a gore scene in a horror movie.

There were a few unidentifiable dead creatures as well.

Trunks landed a few feet away from the two, getting the little girl's attention.

"Trunks! What the hell?!" Goten called, landing behind him with Gohan and Leriac.

The moment Goten yelled, the girl looked up and locked eyes with Trunks.

"Trunks!" Leriac yelled.

"No, wait." Gohan firmly told Goten and Leriac, holding them back.

"But Trunks." Goten argued.

"Stop. Look at the scene around us. Not only is there an injured woman and a scared little girl, there's also blood everywhere. Look at Trunks and that little girl—at their statures and more importantly, their eyes. They're connecting; he's found who he's meant to be with for the rest of his life. You know the rules: we aren't to interrupt them." Gohan explained to the two, watching Trunks and the little girl.

"Is he connecting with a little girl?" Vegeta asked, landing behind Gohan.

"Yes." Gohan answered.

Just before Bulma, Chi-Chi, Aurora, and Martius got there, Trunks and the little girl took deep breaths, sounding like they were gasping for air.

Trunks fell to his knees, and the girl just crumbled over a little more.

"You'll be ok." Vegeta told Trunks, placing his hand on his shoulder. It was then that he saw the woman.

"Vegeta…" The woman weakly spoke.

"Stella?" Vegeta asked, shocked—and horrified. He was by her within seconds.

"What the hell happened?" Vegeta demanded, trying to find where she was bleeding the most.

"Vegeta? Trunks? Oh, my God!" Bulma exclaimed, pulling Trunks to her.

"Mom? When did you get here? Wait. That girl. Is she ok? Let me go!" Trunks struggled to get away from Bulma, shocking her.

"Stella!" Aurora screamed, horrified, running over to Vegeta and Stella along with Martius.

"Trunks, stay back!" Vegeta yelled at his son, only momentarily shocking him.

"NO!" Trunks argued, walking to them.

"Trunks…" "Is he my baby's match?" Stella weakly asked.

"Yeah, that's my son." Vegeta answered.

"And your wife?" Stella asked, looking past Vegeta, to Bulma.

"Yes. Now, hold still and stop talking." Vegeta instructed, carefully flipping her over with the help of Martius and Aurora.

"Aurora? Martius? So, this is where you ended up?" Stella asked with a weak smile.

"Is this "Don't Listen To Vegeta Day?" Trunks, go back and wait with the others.

"No! No. I don't have long left. I want to meet him and your wife. How is Nova?" Stella argued before firmly telling Vegeta and finally asking Aurora and Martius.

"I know you don't like to listen, but please listen and stop talking—and let us help you." Aurora told Stella, holding her hand.

"Nova is good. She's certainly trouble and a handful. But she is very well." Martius answered, seeing something in Stella's eyes.

"Mom, she wants to meet us." Trunks told Bulma, walking over.

"You're Vegeta's wife?" Stella asked Bulma.

"Yes, I'm Bulma." Bulma answered, watching this woman Vegeta seemed to care deeply about.

"Ha. I told you you'd find a beautiful to love and handle your dumbass." Stella told Vegeta with a smile before coughing up.

"Mommy…" The little girl cried.

"Will you just shut your stubborn ass up already? Where's that Chi-Tsuki or whatever his name is? What is he doing?" Vegeta asked, watching Stella.

"Well, which is it? Do you want me to shut up or talk?" Stella asked, getting on Vegeta's nerves.

"What are you doing here?" Martius asked, watching Stella and her little girl.

"Chi-Tsuki is dead; he was killed by Goro, trying to protect Skya. Skya is my and Chi-Tsuki's daughter—our only child; she is half Venarian and half Lunarian, and she just turned eight a few weeks ago. Stop. Stop trying to help me; it'll do you no good. I'm not going to make; I know this. And no amount of magic whatever you may have, won't help me. It's far sooner than I thought, but it's my payment—my price to keep Skya safe—and to break my family's curse." Stella started explaining.

"Family curse? What the hell are you talking about now?" Vegeta, Aurora, and Martius demanded, annoyed.

"Hahaha. All I can tell you is that my great, great, great grandfather pissed off a powerful witch. You know for the past few generations that only boys had been born into my royal family. I was the first girl in many, many generations. Skya is the second. I couldn't let what I knew would happen to me happen to her, so I tracked down the witch—while pregnant with Skya, and I begged her to take the curse back. She agreed as long as Chi-Tsuki and I paid a hefty price. I hadn't known it, but he followed me. We agreed and she promised the curse would break the moment Skya was born. And it did. As hard as I tried to distance myself from her, I couldn't: Skya's my baby. At least—I got eight years with her. But that's all you're going to get from me." Stella explained with a sad smile as her daughter, Skya, clung to her.

"For fuck's sake, Stella. If you would've told me about this stupid curse of yours, I would've helped you! I thought you considered me as your brother!" Vegeta snapped, standing up.

"And us: we would've helped you as well." Aurora sadly added.

"I do consider you as my brother: that's why I didn't tell you. And it's why I didn't contact you eight and a half years ago to help try to find that witch. I knew how to find you, yes. And I was vaguely aware you had a family: I couldn't let you risk them for me. I know you have something that keep you from dying or bring you back from the dead. But Vegeta: none of that would work against this witch's magic. If you would've come with me, you would've had to make the same payment as Chi-Tsuki, and I did. I know that for sure because she told me. It's why I never told Chi-Tsuki… That damn bastard: Skya was supposed to have at least one parent. Same as you two: I didn't want you to leave your only child orphaned as well." Stella answered Vegeta, Aurora, and Martius.

"Why here? Why did you bring her here?" Vegeta asked, watching Stella.

"I-I didn't know where else to go. The witch told me that when Chi-Tsuki and I were killed, our bodies and spirits would turn into a barrier, surrounding the entirety of the planet Skya was on until she turns twenty-one. Until then, no threats from space, can get to Earth. Goro, Uranians, Juptarians, none of them. As long as they're a threat, they can't pass the barrier. However, a few lower minions got through just before Chi-Tsuki's body and soul could for the start of the protective barrier. They should be relatively easy for you to beat; I took all these ones out myself—like this."

"I came here because I knew you were here. I knew you could keep Skya safe—no matter where she ended up. You're the only I trust—well, that was before I knew Aurora and Martius were here as well; I trust them just as much. But I also know that Nova and Skya do not get along so well."

"Whatever family you find for her, let them know she's well-behave, shy, and quiet. She has an enchanted bag: all of her things including her advisers and a long list of everything she's allergic to. Do you remember my cat, Solar? She was also my adviser for a lot of things. Chi-Tsuki had an adviser cat as well; his name is Eclipse. They're both in a deep sleep in Skya's bag. Whoever she ends up with has to like and allow cats. They're also well-behaved—and keep Skya in line. I entrust my daughter's safety in your hands—and the hands of the people you choose to be her new family. And because I'm running out of time… Boy. Where's the boy?" Stella explained, taking deep breaths to suppress her pain here and there.

"I'm here." Trunks answered, walking over with Bulma right behind her.

"Hi. Sorry, but I don't remember what Vegeta said your name was. Can you remind me?" Stella asked, watching Trunks.

"My name is Trunks—Trunks Briefs. This is my mom, Bulma Briefs." Trunks answered, introducing himself and Bulma.

"Human, huh? Ha. That's good. And you must be one tough bitch if you're able to handle him so well. And I bet you can put and keep him in his place. I can see it all over you. I think if I didn't have my curse—or could've lasted longer and met you—I think I'd really like you. All the stories I could've told you about Vegeta—so many embarrassing ones too. Yep. I didn't know it'd be you, but I knew he'd end up with you. I could see it. I'm a Venarian. Love and matchmaking is my specialty. Yes, is. I'm not dead yet, Vegeta. I told you you'd be with a lovely woman who would put you in your place. But at the same time, you would relax and love each other more than anyone. And that you would shower her with devotion. And if you haven't, I'll figure out a way to come haunt your ass for the rest of eternity. And just so you know: I do mean all of eternity. And somehow, I think I knew we'd somehow be family more than what we believed. But what I'm trying to say is Skya isn't like any other Venarian; she is a reincarnation of Halley. However, unlike Halley, Skya has no control of her abilities currently and will only ever have control of two if she's lucky. And she doesn't have any of the abilities of a regular Venarian either. And she tends to get sick a lot. But one of her abilities that she has that she can't control: I was told it will only activate to the people she loves and cares about—or is close to. She gives immortality. And I'm not talking like you just look like you age and can die if killed. No, she gives full immortality. Whoever gets it from her, will not die, period. She herself, isn't all that strong, but some of her abilities are."

"But moving on. Before I forget completely and continue to babble on and on. Trunks: I know you and my Skya are mates and have already connected. Not only am I leaving her in your dad's hands; I'm leaving her in yours as well. And because you're who she's meant to be with for all eternity, you will be in charge of watching out for her more than your father. I will hold you to that—more so when you get older, but still… Like I said before, she's shy and quiet—especially around new people. And I'm sure none of this helps none. She may because you two are connected. However, I highly doubt she'll talk much at first—if at all at first. Just go slow with her and take things easy. Ok?" Stella started speaking to Bulma and Trunks before completely veering off subject—a few times.

"I will protect her with my life. But uhh… You're glowing." Trunks replied, promising Stella before letting her know.

"Oh, shoot. I am." Stella noted, watching her feet.

"What does that mean?" Aurora asked, near tears.

"Looking at your face and tears: you know what it means. It's about time. With that said: I need someone—anyone—I don't care who to get Skya away from here. I don't want her to see this. Basically, my body is going to glow from toes to my head—and once it reaches the top of my head, I will explode. She already saw it happen to her dad; she doesn't need to see me too. And you all need to get away as well because I don't want any of you to get hurt. Once I'm gone, all the blood, dead bodies, and body parts will disappear." Stella answered with a sad smile.

"Oh, Bulma: I've told Skya all the stories of Vegeta and me; she can tell you one day once she opens up more. And Vegeta, Aurora, and Martius: she also knows about the family curse. DO NOT push her, but if you ask nicely and she wants, she'll tell you about it." Stella added some final things.

"Ok. Skya, Baby: I need you to be brave and go with either Mr. Vegeta or one of his friends. Mr. Vegeta was one of my very best friends next to your daddy, Aurora, and Martius. And Mr. Vegeta's wife I'm sure is very nice. And they have a son: his name is Trunks, and he will be your very best special friend one day—like Daddy was mine. Maybe right away, maybe not. But he will be your very best special friend. But it's time for me to go—like Daddy. That means it's time for you to be a very brave big girl and go with Mr. Vegeta or one of his friends. And then they will make sure you go somewhere safe after that with people who will love you. Not as much as Daddy and me, but they will love you very much. I love you." Stella tearfully told Skya, holding her hand on Skya's face.

"No! Mommy!" Skya cried, clinging to Stella.

"Baby, you have to go. I'll always be with you in your heart and memories. I will always love you just like Daddy. And you will always love both Daddy and me." Stella tried again, the glowing at her throat now.

"NO!" Skya screamed, tears just pouring down her pale face.

"You all go; I'll get the girl." Vegeta told Bulma, Trunks, Aurora, Martius, and the others.

"We love you, too." Aurora and Martius told Stella, quickly hugging her before leaving.

"It was nice meeting you. I only wish it were under better circumstances. Please, rest in peace with your husband. Come on, Trunks." Bulma sadly told Stella before telling Trunks.

"I'll make sure your daughter is safe. Rest in peace. Love you always, Sister." Vegeta told Stella before walking over to Skya.

"Thank you, all." Stella replied just before her eyes closed, and she took her final breath.

"Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" Skya screamed and cried, shaking Stella in hopes of waking her.

"Oh, kid; you're breaking my heart. But it's time to go." Vegeta told Skya, lifting her under her armpits.

"NO! Mommy!" Skya screamed and struggled against Vegeta with little to no avail.

Vegeta tried getting Skya away fast enough, but it was too late, and she saw her mommy explode and then vanish into nothingness—as if she were never there.

"MOMMY!" Skya screamed as Vegeta flew higher and higher to avoid the blast.

"Vegeta!" Bulma called, watching Vegeta slowly land in front of them with Skya, barely fighting anymore.

"Ok… Come on. It's getting late; we should head home. It's also going to start storming in the next half hour—which means we'll have half an hour to unpack everything at home before it hits us. And I'm pretty sure she needs to eat something." Vegeta told everyone, leading the way back with Trunks on his heels.

"What are you going to do with her? Child Services?" Chi-Chi asked, concerned, holding back her tears.

"Fuck no." Vegeta and Bulma simultaneously answered.

"What are you thinking, Bulma?" Vegeta asked, already knowing the answer: it was his as well.

"We're keeping her. We have three spare rooms; she can have one of those. She'll live with us. She has nowhere else." Bulma answered.

"Agreed. And as much as you'll probably hate this reason: at least she'll already be with her mate. And we know she'll be taken care of. No offense to you two." Vegeta replied before apologizing to Aurora and Martius.

"None taken. As much as we'd love to take her in, Stella wasn't lying when she said Nova and Skya don't get along." Aurora sadly spoke.

"Don't get along? That's putting it lightly. Oh, come on. Nova relentlessly bullies Skya. She believes she has the right because she's a year older, but she's not nice to Skya at all. I've watched her do it, too. That's why Nova never liked me when they came to visit—or when we'd visit them. I always punished her." Martius explained.

"What about Skya?" Aurora asked, watching her husband.

"She just takes it. She does not like conflict." Martius answered.

"So, she definitely went the peaceful rout—like a normal Venarian and Lunarian." Vegeta noted, watching where he was walking—until Skya thew up all over his arm and the ground.

"To the max. She's nothing like her mother except her determination to be happy and friendly. She's very polite like her father as well." Aurora answered before walking ahead of everyone.

"We have to let Nova know before she can say something hurtful. And—Stella was Aurora's best friend." Martius explained before walking ahead as well.

"Here. Let me take her. Come here, Sweetie. Yeah, that's it. It's ok. You can just let it all out." Bulma gently told Skya, rubbing her back as they walked.

The entire time, Skya was watching Trunks. And in return, he watched her…
