Summary: A Naruto and Sasuke friendship fic. This fic will show a Godlike Naruto and Sasuke. Different perspectives from manga canon (no anime-only content) and slightly AU.
However, that doesn't mean that Naruto or Sasuke will be Godlike out of the blue. They'll work very hard for it. During the initial stages of the story, they struggle as any average person would.
This is my first fanfiction; I'm writing this cause I hate Boruto. Even if the story gets better, I do not believe I would genuinely enjoy it after what they did with Naruto and Sasuke, particularly how they did it. It's my first time writing any literature, so hopefully, I'll stay coherent with my vision for this fic.
This will be a Naruto x Hinata fic. I know it's a much-explored concept in the fanfiction community. Still, I have a reason for using this common pairing. As the story progresses, hopefully, it'll make sense. For Sasuke, I'm yet to decide cause I'm not sure about my stance with Sakura as of now. There will be other pairings for other characters.

Chapter 1 – The start of an arduous journey…
October 10th, a day that should have been normal like any other. The people were busy with their lives in the Konohagakure no Sato (Village Hidden in the Leaves), the village touted to be the most powerful one of the five great nations. All their Hokages were considered absolute legends and were mighty beings.
The Shodai (First) Hokage, Hashirama Senju, was widely known as the God of Shinobi. He singlehandedly subdued all the tailed beasts and distributed them to the five great nations. Even when Madara Uchiha fought against him with the Kyuubi no Kitsune (Nine-Tailed Fox, touted as the most powerful-tailed beast), he could not defeat Hashirama. Their legendary battle created the Valley of the End, leading to Madara's demise. Hashirama was widely known for his famed Mokuton no Jutsu (Wood Release Technique). This nature transformation combined water and earth to create a new element. Mokuton is considered the most powerful nature transformation and is said to have made Hashirama the God of Shinobi. Although not that well known, Hashirama could also perform Senjutsu (Sage Jutsu), which only made him even more of a powerhouse.
The Nidaime (Second) Hokage, Tobirama Senju, was the younger brother of Hashirama. Unlike his brother, Tobirama could not perform the Mokuton and relied mainly on Water Release. However, his affinity for Water Release was so powerful that he could extract water from places it didn't exist. Tobirama was also a great strategist and researcher. He created the famed Kagebunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Jutsu). This jutsu allows its users to create multiple tangible copies of themselves, which is highly significant for espionage, recon and infiltration missions. He also made the base version of the Hiraishin no Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Technique). This technique is a highly advanced Space-Time Ninjutsu that allowed him to transport to a seal location instantly. It took the entire Ginkaku and Kinkaku troops to defeat him in battle.
The Sandaime (Third) Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, was the student of both the First and Second Hokages. Well known to the world as "The Professor", Hiruzen is one of the few shinobis who can use all five nature transformations (Fire, Water, Earth, Wind and Lightning). He has extensively studied almost all jutsus known to humanity. The Nidaime Hokage chose him to be the Sandaime Hokage. He also trained the "Legendary Sannin", consisting of Tsunade Senju, Jiraiya and Orochimaru. All three were compared to Kage-level shinobis. After Hashirama's time, Hiruzen was hailed as the God of Shinobi. After serving as the Hokage for a long time, Hiruzen stepped out of his mantle of being the Hokage.
Finally, the Yondaime (Fourth) and current Hokage, Minato Namikaze, is known worldwide as the "Yellow Flash". Despite not being a part of any powerful clans, Minato showed extraordinary genius, unlike before. He was a natural prodigy who created one of the most potent offensive jutsus ever made – Rasengan, after observing a tailed beast bomb. Along with the Rasengan, Minato improved the Hiraishin no Jutsu to extraordinary levels, with which he destroyed a platoon of 1000 shinobis from the Iwagakure no Sato (Village Hidden by Rocks). That incident led him to be called the Yellow Flash, and the villages issued a flee-on-sight order for their shinobis if they ever faced him. Minato is considered by many to be one of the strongest shinobis to ever exist as he was highly skilled in shuriken jutsu, which enhances his space-time ninjutsu. He was also highly proficient in Fuinjutsu (Sealing techniques).
With such a history of great kages, no one expected anything that destructive occurring that day…
An hour before the attack
Kushina Uzumaki, the famed "Red Hot-Blooded Habanero", was going through a lot of emotions at that moment. Anxiety cause she just went into labour. Happiness cause she was about to meet her child. Anger against Minato for looking clueless about what he should be doing when she is going through this pain.
Being an outsider to Konoha, Kushina was bullied in her initial days in the village for having red hair. Instead of submitting to them, Kushina beat them all like a badass and earned her famed nickname. Hailing from the legendary Uzumaki clan, Kushina was not only gifted with extraordinary chakra, but she was also a god-tier shinobi in the sealing arts. She taught Minato all of her clan's sealing arts, which led him to be one of the strongest shinobis in the world. Although Kushina initially disregarded Minato, she started to respect and admire him as a shinobi when he saved her from a platoon of shinobis of the Kumogakure no Sato (Village Hidden by Clouds). Minato saved her by tracking her red hair, which everyone ridiculed. After this incident, they grew close and eventually married.
However, Kushina had one huge secret that no one in the village except a few select individuals knew. She was the Jinchuriki, a human sacrifice for sealing a tailed beast of the Nine-Tailed Fox. Minato had accepted her and knew that she was only the jail for the Nine-Tailed Fox, but the villagers would not be so receptive to the fact. Kushina knew that there was one moment when the seal of the Nine-Tailed Fox would weaken, and that was during childbirth. Hence, Minato had taken her to a secluded place. Along with him came the Sandaime's platoon of ANBU guards. Despite all the safety measures, Kushina couldn't help but worry about something terrible happening…
Her worry, unfortunately, became her greatest tragedy…
After delivering her child and seeing the boy hale and healthy, Minato and Kushina were suddenly confronted by a masked man who instantly had a kunai on their boy's throat. This man had the Mangekyo Sharingan, the most advanced form of the Sharingan. Minato immediately attacked the man and grabbed his son, only to find the blanket covering him stuck with paper bombs. Without any choice, Minato had to teleport away from Kushina to save the child. However, this time gap was enough for the masked man to extract the Nine-Tails from Kushina in her weakened state. After removing the Kyuubi from her, the masked man saw that she was still alive and attempted to use it to kill her. At that moment, Minato immediately returned and saved Kushina. Before reacting to his opponent, the masked man and the Nine-Tails vanished. He understood what had transpired and prepared for his most important battle.
Present time
The masked man looked around the village. The peace it had with people bustling around. No one had any worries about a devastating attack. All of that was going to change in an instant…
"Kuchiyose no Jutsu."
The instant he uttered those words, the Kyuubi appeared before the now terrified villagers and started its rampage by destroying everything on its path. Several villagers were instantly killed due to its attack. All the jonin and chunin who went forward to stop its attack were helpless against its power.
"Sandaime Sama, the Kyuubi, has suddenly appeared in the village and is causing massive destruction."
"I'm well aware. Let's go", stated Hiruzen while getting into his armour.
Hiruzen rushed to the village and immediately summoned the Enkoo (Monkey King), Enma, who transformed into an Adamantine Staff. Hiruzen attacked the Kyuubi with it to drive them away from the village. He knew that if the Kyubbi went all out, he would only be able to witness his village's complete destruction.
"Minato…where are you?"
With Minato
Minato had just arrived at the Hokage mountain to witness the destruction caused by Kyuubi. On his arrival, the Kyuubi sent a massive tailed beast bomb/ Minato teleported the tailed beast bomb using his Fuinjustu and Hiraishin no jutsu. However, before Minato could stop the Kyuubi, the masked man suddenly appeared behind him. He tried to teleport him away from the village. Minato had no choice but to escape the village with the masked man in his pursuit.
With Minato and the Masked man – I don't want to write this part cause the manga and anime depictions are just brilliant. It's one of the most OP and badass moments in the series. So the events follow canon.
After implementing the contract seal on the masked man, the Kyuubi was no longer under his control. However, it continued to attack the villagers due to its extraction and desire to be free. Despite the prowess of the Sandaime and the ANBU black ops, they could not ultimately defeat the fox. They were about to see the tailed beast bomb again when they heard another sound.
"Kuchisoye No Jutsu."
Minato had returned with his summon Gamabunta, the Chief Toad of the Toad Summons. Gamabunta was a mighty summon, but he and Minato knew they would be unable to hold back the Kyuubi for a long time. Thus, before the Kyuubi could react, Minato used his Hiraishin no Jutsu to take him away from the village. The Sandaime and the ANBU could only spectate Minato's prowess in the few minutes they saw him.
With Minato and the Kyuubi
Minato had brought the Kyuubi nearby Kushina and Naruto. Gamabunta tried to restrain the Kyuubi, but he was hurt and had to leave to recuperate. Now, Minato had to contain the Nine-Tailed Fox by himself.
"Damn, the Kyuubi is truly a terrifying beast. To think that it would be this strong. Konoha's fate is doomed if I do not contain it soon. It looks like I have to use the Shiki Fujin (Reaper Death Seal) to stop it…."
Minato, however, had a problem at hand. To use the Shiki Fujin, he needs the beast to be still, or he will die in vain for nothing. If Kushina could battle, then her Chakra Chains would be able to restrict the beast. But time was running out, and Minato had to act quickly.
"Looks like I'll have to take the risk. It's not perfect, but it will grant me a better chance, at least for a few minutes."
"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Jutsu)."
When he uttered those words, a single shadow clone came into existence. Minato looked at the clone, nodded and jumped out of the scene.
The shadow clone now started to fight the Kyuubi. Minato knew it wouldn't be able to deal with any significant damage, but the purpose of the clone was to gain time. The time needed for him to prepare his jutsu.
"Hiraishin no Jutsu."
With that, Minato's clone instantly struck the entire area with Hiraishin kunais and started teleporting to one another. The Kyuubi looked at this scene and got enraged. It waved its massive tails and tried to catch the clone with its arms. However, Minato's speed was no joke; even a bunshin was extremely fast. Seeing the Kyuubi lost, it decided to finish this 'pest' with a Bijuudama. However, the time needed to prepare the tailed beast bomb and the focus the beast showed in it was enough for Minato.
"Yes, now I'm ready. Here we go."
"Senpou – Odama Rasengan"
The Kyuubi was too late to realise the other Minato was attacking it with a Rasengan from the top and got hit by a powerful jutsu.
Kushina, now slowly trying to return to the battlefield, saw Minato executing his Rasengan. She instantly was worried cause Minato was not that proficient in Senjustu, and a tiny flicker in control could turn him into a stone. However, seeing the jutsu succeed, she immediately used all her strength to summon her Chakra Chains. That effectively bound the beast and made it immovable. Minato saw this and felt great relief. However, he also knew the conversation he had with the masked man and knew that that man was a grave threat to the entire world. He knew that letting the Kyuubi roam around would be highly dangerous, and allowing it to fall under that man's Genjutsu would be catastrophic. Realising that he might become a terrible father figure and yet feeling that he has no choice, Minato flashes back to Naruto and brings him to the sealing place.
"Kushina, I'm going to seal the Kyuubi within our child," Minato told his wife in a sad voice.
"What?! He's our child. Are you that cold that you would allow him to bear such an unbearable fate? Why in the world would you do that to him?"
"I know that my act is not befitting a father. However, I believe that Naruto can overcome the struggle his life shall contain. I can only hope the villagers see him as a true hero, but it's not realistic. Both of us will sacrifice our lives to protect our village from a grave threat. I know that asking my son to do the same is unfair to him. Still, as his father, I can only ask for his forgiveness while putting my selfish desire ahead of his own life and his desires."
"What are you talking about? You're not thinking of using the Shiki Fujin, are you? Why do you need to die? You can stay with our son. I don't have much time left, but at least Naruto can grow up with his father."
"The Kyuubi cannot be sealed into an adult. The charka coils would vehemently reject its charka, which, in turn, can lead to that shinobi's death and the return of the Nine-Tails. The only shinobi exception to that rule was your grandmother Mito Uzumaki, the Shodaime's wife. However, she could do that because she was an Uzumaki. No one in this village can hope to achieve that result. The Kyuubi has to be sealed within a child. As the Hokage, I cannot ask another shinobi's child when I have my own. Thus, I have to do this with deep regret."
Minato knew that he was making the objectively correct decision, but he couldn't stop that great pain in his heart caused by the look in his wife's eyes. He looked at Naturo, expressed his deepest sorry, and started making the hand signs.
"Shiki Fujin no Jutsu"…
With the Sandaime
By this time, the Sandaime had reached where Minato and Kushina were fighting the Kyuubi. He noticed the barrier Kushina had set up and found it impenetrable. He also saw the hand sign Minato held and immediately realised the Yondaime Hokage's plan.
"Minato, you are actually using that Jutsu…."
The ANBU with him also saw that they could not enter and all they could do was see the events about to transpire.
With Minato
The instant he performed the jutsu, Minato could see the Reaper/Death God himself. He saw the god enter his body, holding his soul and then stretch it out to the Kyuubi's soul. The Kyuubi wanted to break free and kill the three humans standing before it. However, it strangely found itself incapable of doing so.
"What is this feeling? I've never felt like this before."
"Kushina, I'm going to use my senjutsu chakra at its total capacity. I need you to hold the Kyuubi off till that time".
"I don't know how long I'll be able to contain him, but I'll give it my all. Go ahead, Minato!"
"I'm sorry for putting you through this pain, and thank you, Kushina, Minato stated"
"What pain, huh? This is our son's life. Don't spew rubbish," Kushina weakly stated
Minato could only give a small smile at his wife's indomitable will.
He charged his senjutsu chakra and started drawing the Kyuubi into Naruto. With this senjutsu chakra, Minato realised he could completely seal the Kyuubi inside Naruto, which he initially considered impossible.
"Strange, it almost felt like the Kyuubi didn't want to fight the sealing." Minato thought as the sealing was completed.
Before Minato and Kushina fell, they lovingly looked at their son, hoped he would grow to be stronger than them, and hoped his life would be filled with love and affection. They hoped that he would protect the world from the grave dangers it would soon face, and he would be seen as a hero of his village. With that thought, the great Namizake Minato, Yondaime Hokage and Kushina Uzumaki breathed their last.
Well, that's the first chapter. It would probably be the toughest I'll have to write in a while cause I needed it to have enough content and, at the same time, make it somewhat original. Writing what is already in the canon is not fun, and copypasting would be lazy and uninspiring. Hopefully, I made the chapter engaging enough for you guys. Most of it did contain canon parts, but they were necessary to move the story forward. I did say that there is no schedule for my updates, but you can expect the second chapter within 3-4 days.
