A short one-shot centred on The Hole in the Heart. I was watching the episode (for the millionth time) last night and somehow my feelings spilled out into this. It's short, written through tears in the space of around 15 minutes. I know there are 100 different versions of this story, by 100 better writers than me, but I guess sometimes you just need to write out your feelings.

When Brennan leaves to escape Hannah and Booth, she makes a decision that puts her life in danger. How will Booth find out she needs help, and what does that mean for his relationships with the women in his life? Booth reads Christine a bedtime story and Brennan wants to know what the hell sugarplums are. Cute family fluff! It's got a Christmassy theme but it's more Daddy!Booth fluff stuff than full on Christmas overload.
