Chapter 1: abduction
The crimson moon of the makai shone down on the blood-soaked village below. Youko Kurama looked as poised and elegant as ever standing in the coppery smelling pools around them. "That was barely worth the effort." He snapped reverting his long rose whip back into a tiny seed before placing it back into his silver tresses.
"I don't know, I enjoyed it." Kuronue smiled wickedly, licking the fresh blood from his twin scythes before fastening them to his hips.
"You always do." Youko sighed listlessly, the lack of enthusiasm beginning to show from the lack of reward. "Did you at least find anything?" He asked rummaging through a nearby corpses pockets. Kuronue tossed a small locked chest towards Youko, who caught it with ease in his clawed hand. "That's all I suppose?" Youko made quick work of unlocking the chest with his long sharp claws and eyed the gold and gems sparkling from inside. "We'll split this when we return." He said closing it and turning on his heels only to stop a few feet away, almost making Kuronue walk into him.
"What the fuck." Kuronue spat.
"Shut up someone is still alive!" Youko hissed.
"Please have mercy on an old man." A short bald man in tattered robes emerged from hiding in a bush up ahead. Youko chuckled before decapitating him where he stood.
"I don't do favors for humans."

Two days later….
Kagome climbed out of the bone eaters well just as she had done many times before. To her great surprise however, no one was on the other side waiting for her. "Where is everyone?" she turned around scratching her head. "Inuyasha?... I guess they forgot about me." She groaned lifting her heavy bag onto her back and cursed the hanyou for breaking her bike for the thousandth time. She giggled at the thought of making him sit when she got back and slowly made her way down the path to her second home.
" I can't believe you didn't meet up with me!" Kagome yelled slamming her foot down hard on the floor of Kaede's house. "Owwww.." she groaned, rubbing at her sore shoulders. "That bag is awfully heavy for a girl to carry all this way you know!"
"Well excuse a guy for sleeping once in a while." Inuyasha Barked as he dug through her bag looking for the ramen, it's aroma already danced deliciously around his sensitive nose.
"BAKA!" Kagome yelled snatching the bag away from him. "None for you!" Kagome yelled, throwing it back over her shoulders and storming out. "I'm going for a walk!"
Inuyasha growled slightly before following her out. "Sit boy!" Kagome yelled, clenching her fists tightly by her side. Inuyasha faceplanted hard, falling into an ever-familiar heap in the dirt beneath them.
"serves you right." Kagome pouted as she stepped over him and continued down the path ahead.
"Who does that jerk think he is?!" Kagome spoke her thoughts outloud now that big, dumb and jerky was out of earshot. Despite Inuyasha ruining her mood, it was a beautiful day for a walk. Suddenly, she was snatched violently from her thoughts as her body pulsed. "A jewel shard!" Bow and aarow in hand, she followed her senses into the thick forest. She hid behind a large tree as her targets came into view, slightly poking her head out to listen to the two demons before her.
"I hear there is a village nearby with a wealthy headman." Kuronue sighed, boredom lining his voice.
"Yes, maybe it will be more of a challenge." Youko smirked.
"Hit the mark." Kagome whispered aiming at the kitsune's heart and letting her arrow fly. Unfortunately for her the demon disappeared before it could hit him. The arrow head sank into a tree with a loud crack followed by the sizzling sound of her purification. Before she even knew what was happening, her bow, pack, and quiver all went flying as her feet moved from under her. She hit the ground hard with a thud. Getting up, she tried to run the other direction, only to slam into Youko's hard chest.
"Hello there." He said coldly before hitting her head hard. Darkness took hold of her quick as consciousness left her. "Get her things." Youko told Kuronue, putting the tiny miko over his shoulder.
"Oh look, you've caught a mouse." Kuronue scoffed.
"It seems I have." Youko replied before taking off toward their hideaway with Kagome in tow.

Inuyasha paced in front of the bone eaters well. "She should've been back here by now." He tapped his foot impatiently.
"Maybe she went home." Shippo mused. Inuyasha glared at him.
"No she wouldn't return to her time without telling me first." He growled, unsure of his own words. Just then a strong gust of wind blew passed them, effectively knocking Shippo over onto his bottom. "Ouch.." Shippo whined as he got up and dusted himself off. "Hah Shippo, stop being so clumsy." Inuyasha teased. His grin was quickly replaced by a look of dread as he caught Kagome's scent coming from the forest. He sprinted towards it with his hand on the tetsusaiga, only to skid to a halt as a small clearing came into view. "Her scent stops here, now all I can smell is the stench of a fox and bat demon."
"Where's Kagome?" Shippo cried, large tears threatening to spill from his eyes.
"Dammit Kagome! How many times have I told you not to run off by yourself?! This is why… These are the same scents I found when we were investigating that bloodbath of a village the other day." He growled and started to punch the ground. "DAMMIT KAGOME! DAMMIT!"

Kagome woke up what seemed to be days later. Her vision was blurred, the dark world spun dangerously around her as her head throbbed painfully. "where am I?" She asked herself. She was in a cave that much she knew for sure. It was dimly lit by multiple torches. Oddly enough, it had furnature, hallways and even shoji doors. It almost looked like someone's house. Her lips were cracked and dry. "so thirsty.." She thought to herself. As if reading her mind, a small vine pried her sore mouth open and forced its way in. Soon she felt cool water spilling its way into her mouth and down her throat. She gladly accepted it and sucked at it greedily. She sat up only to realize that her wrists and ankles were bound tightly by thick, purple vines. Struggling against them for a few minutes, she then noticed that it only made their grip on her stronger. Giving up with an audibly sigh, she flopped back down on the bed of pelts she had been left on by her abductors. The vines loosened their grip and soon returned to normal. "Is this someone's sick form of hospitality?"
Her misery was soon interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching. The two demons strolled in lazily. She got a better look at them now that she was closer to them. One of them was a tall slender demon dressed in snow white robes, alabaster skin and silky silver hair. He had matching silver animalistic ears on top of his head, not unlike Inuyasha but slightly larger. His eyes were golden and terrifying and he had a long beautiful silver tail. His partner contrasted him perfectly, tall and lean with soft violet eyes and a long onyx ponytail pulled through a tattered black hat. He had on a black shirt that his toned body was all too visible through and large bat wings that were folded closed to his back. He had two dangerous looking scythe weapons strapped to his hips. Something about him tugged her very core. She wanted nothing more in that moment but to touch him, to run her slender fingers over the crisscrossed ribbon like material that adorned his muscular arms. "Woah woah Kagome, he wants to kill you or worse why are you thinking like this?" Kagome thought to herself mortified from her own thoughts. Though they were both otherworldly handsome, who could blame a girl for looking right?
"Where am I?" She demanded, mustering up all the courage she could manage. Kuronue scoffed, dropping the boar he had been carrying to the floor with a loud thud and began to skin it. Youko's gorgeous features slowly twisted into a smile as he approached her. The vines lifted her to her feet and she was pressed up against the wall. He lifted her chin in between his thumb and index finger, forcing her to look into his dangerous golden eyes. "You're disrespectful, can't have that can we?" Youko said quietly as he stuck his thumb past her lips and pried her jaw open. "This should fix that" He smiled again, placing a shiny white seed into her mouth. Kagome felt it slither its way down her throat.
"What was that?! Poison?!" She spat.
Youko shook his head. "No my dear, but you will soon find out exactly what this curious little seed is capable of."
Kagome felt the vines grip loosen from her before dropping from her completely. She lifted her arms, ready to purify him, but nothing happened. Youko chuckled before pinning her hands above her head and slamming her hard against the cave's wall, knocking the wind out of her. She groaned at the sudden pain filling her lungs. "I don't think we've had the time for a formal introduction. I am Youko Kurama, King of thieves. This is my partner Kuronue." He said coldly looking at the bat and then back into her eyes. His voice was low and threatening and made the hairs on her arms stand on end. "Oh… and you won't be going anywhere so get comfortable." Kagome's vision was beginning to blur and she began to feel feverish, yet she still managed to scoff at him in response.
"And what might your name be… Little miko." He purred. She glared at him and refused to answer.
"It's rude not to answer someone when they're speaking to you." Youko growled squeezing her wrists harder. Small spots of blood began to form around his claws that were now digging into her skin.
"Ka..gome." She whimpered. The pain had forced it out of her.
"That's better." Youko smirked, tossing her back to the floor and walking back to the fire Kuronue had lit before them. "You've been out a day and a half, I must've hit you harder than I thought." He sat in front of the fire where Kuronue was now cooking large chunks of the boar. He patted the ground next to him. "Come here."
Kagome fought with everything she had not to obey him, yet her body seemed to move on its own. Reluctantly, she took the seat that she was offered to her. "You must be hungry." Youko said. Kagome's stomach growled audibly in response.
"I say let the bitch starve.." Kuronue mumbled. Youko glared daggers at him before using his claws to take a piece of cooked boar meat from the fire. He held it up to her lips and she opened it accepting the food. She knew they could poison her at any time, yet she was too hungry to care. Youko smiled, seemingly content for the moment. He filled up a small bowl and handed it to her along with a cup of sake. Kuronue got up and motioned for Youko to follow him. They stopped at the entrance to the cave just out of earshot of Kagome.
"Why is that human still alive?" Kuronue growled
"She interests me. Is that a problem?" Youko said looking back at Kagome.
Kuronue sighed heavily. "This isn't going to end well. One wrong move and she can purify us both, so yes having this miko around is a problem. Is that really how the king of thieves wants to go? As a pile of ash?"
Youko smiled, turning on his heels and walking away. "Just trust me."
Kuronue rolled his eyes and followed him "Whatever you say."
Youko took his seat back next to Kagome. "I guess you were hungry." He said motioning toward her empty bowl. She nodded. "WHY CAN'T I KILL THEM?!" She screamed desperately in her mind. She was becoming more and more hot and light headed. "What did he drug me with?" Her thought became clouded as the heat from her body moved across her stomach and over her flushed cheeks. Youko's arm snaked its way around her waist. She jumped slightly but did not pull away.
"If you haven't figured this out yet, that seed I gave you is from the demon plant of enthrallment. Its effects last about a week. I normally save these for women when I'm in heat, but in this case its to keep those troublesome powers of yours at bay. If you behave yourself, maybe you wont need to have another one." Youko whispered in her ear.
Kagome grimaced. "What are you going to do with me?"
"Oh, that I haven't decided yet…. Oh what are these?" He asked grabbing the bottle of jewel shards from around her neck. He tugged on it, easily snapping the string it was hanging from. Kagomes body pulsed again as he reached into the pocket of his pure white robes. "It's the same as this one." He said pulling out the shard that got Kagome in this mess to begin with.
"Those are mine." Kagome sighed, defeated as tears began to slide down her cheeks.
"Yes, but I like them. So now they're mine." Youko replied pulling the cork out to add his shard to hers then recorking it and putting them all into his pocket. "Come with me." He said getting up and offering her his hand. Again Kagome fought with all her might not to listen to no avail. Her body forced her up and grabbed his hand.
"I'll show you to my bed chamber. Its where you'll stay until I tire of keeping you alive." Youko said as he lead her down a long hallway. She felt as though they were walking through a maze. Suddenly Youko stopped and slid open the door to his chamber. The he poured his demon energy around the room. One by one brightly glowing flowers began to bloom around the ceiling.
He shut the door behind them. "Here we are."
Inside there was a large bed piled high with the finest silken furs. Next to it there was a table filled with priceless gems and other treasures. Instead of the floor being just stone like the rest of the cave, he had a huge elegant carpet.
"Kuronue and I have business to attend to tonight. I hope you make yourself comfortable, but to make sure you don't get any ideas about leaving I'm going to have to bind you again. Not like you'd be able to find your way out of here. This cave is a series of secret halls and tunnels." Youko shrugged as familiar vines moved down from the ceiling and tightly wrapped themselves around her wrists and ankles. "I'll be back soon." He said shutting the door behind him.
Kagome sipped at her at her sake, she was desperately trying to get the taste of boar from her mouth. She stood up, noticing that the vines had enough slack for her to move around the room freely. "Wow these ar gorgeous." She said picking up a sapphire and holding it up to catch the light before sitting back down on the bed. The silken furs were warm and comfortable and sleep took her quick.
