Chapter 1: The beginning
It was a calm and quiet evening in Amity Park and about three weeks since the infamous "Beauty Pageant disaster" at the country club.
Things have calmed down since then and everyone in town was going on with their daily lives, even as the mayor was out of town for some meeting, leaving the deputy mayor in charge for the time being.
It was a simply evening and other than the occasional "appearance" from the Box Ghost, nothing much happened.
But our story doesn't take place there right now.
No, our story takes place in a lake house at Mount Eerie that was near the an old camp that had been abandoned for a while now.
In this lake house, a little girl had been staying in here for the last couple of months, ever since she got permission from the "owner".
It was Danielle, who right now, was hanging out with her favorite and only neighbor and friend that she had made since she got here.
It was Wulf.
Ever since she came here, she came across him and they quickly became friends after she explained her connection to Danny. Since then, Wulf has come to check up on her and right now, they were in the middle of playing a game.
"Got any threes?..."Dani asked as they played cards.
"Iru fiŝojn..."Wulf said, saying "go fish" in his native language.
Since Dani learned a little Esperanto since she met him, she knew what he meant and did so.
However, their game was interrupted when they ended up receiving visitors.
"Did you order a pizza?..." Danielle asked, surprised to hear it since there was no one around for miles.
Wulf shook his head.
"No... know... number..." He managed to say.
"Right... me neither. Well... there's one group of people who know we're here..." She said as she got up to answer.
When she did, she saw who the visitors were. They were Danny and Star. Danny had floated into the house, carrying his girlfriend, along with several bags.
"Guess who?..."Danny said as they appeared.
Dani gasped and smiled when she saw them.
"Danny! Star!..."The little ghost girl said in excitement as she ran to them.
"Hey Danielle, it's been a while..."Star said as she hugged the little ghost girl.
Danny hugged her too and then turned to Wulf.
"Hey Wulf..."Danny said to his beastly friend, who licked his cheek.
"Saluton mia amiko, pasis longa tempo..."Wulf said.
"Yeah, it has been a long time..."Danny said as he rubbed his cheek, wiping off his friend's slobber.
"What are you guys doing here?..."Dani asked, happy but curious.
"Did something happen?..."She asked.
"No, it's just that we were going to send another care package and since Vlad is out of town for a while and it's Saturday, we thought it would be a great time to see you..."Star said. "Plus, we missed you..."She admitted.
Dani smiled at that.
She then noticed the many bags and got excited.
"Is that for me?..."She asked, looking excited.
"Yep, we got some food, snacks, hygiene stuff and even some new clothes for you..."Star said as she placed it in front of her.
"Oh boy!..."Dani said as she ran to the bags like a child running to get presents under a Christmas tree.
As Dani went through her items, Danny turned to Wulf.
"So, how has she been? She told me that you had been checking on her from time to time?..."Danny asked.
"Aferoj estis bonaj. Danielle estas forta infano, kaj ŝi ĝuis sian tempon ĉi tie, kiel mi. Mi eĉ instruis al ŝi kiel ĉasi kaj fiŝkapti, pri kio ŝi tre lertis. Ŝi eble estas malgranda sed ŝi havas la kapablon... kaj apetiton de militisto..."Wulf said, chuckling at the last part.
He pretty much said "Things have been good. Danielle is a strong child, and she has enjoyed her time here, like I have. I have even taught her how to hunt and fish, which she has gotten very good at. She might be small but she has the skill...and appetite of a warrior" in perfect Esperanto.
Danny chuckled too.
Star, however, hid her confusion with a smile.
"I really need to learn more to figure out what he's saying..." She thought before going back to doting on Dani.
A little later
After they put away the food in the fridge and panty, and after Dani tried on the new clothes that she got from Star, the little ghost girl was in a good mood.
"Thanks you guys, this rocks..."Dani said, happy to be here.
"No problem, glad you like them..."Star said, giggling.
"So...uh...I'm happy you guys are here but where are Tucker and Sam?..."Dani asked.
"Well, Sam is doing something with her grandma today and Tucker got grounded by his parents for his internet bill...again...so they couldn't come..."Danny said. "They did send their regards, and some extra gifts on their part, though they said they rather be here than back home right now..."He said.
"Can't blame them, after what happened last week..."Star muttered, looking bothered by something.
That caught Dani and Wulf's attention.
"Huh? What happened last week?..."Dani asked.
Danny and Star both flinched a bit, looking almost tired upon hearing that.
"Uh...am I missing something? What happened? Did some ghost attack you guys again or something?..."Dani asked.
"Oh please, I rather it had been a ghost..."Danny muttered.
"Seriously, why are you guys acting so weird? What happened?..."Dani asked.
"It's kinda long story..."Star said. "So long that another reason we took this trip was...that aside from wanting to see you, we also wanted a change of scenery..."Star said, looking annoyed by something.
"Seriously, what happened? Tell me..."Dani insisted.
Seeing that the little ghost girl really wanted to know and even Wulf looked curious, the couple decided to give in.
"Like I said...it's a long story...one that started about a week ago...when my grandparents came for a visit..."Star said as this story had begun.
