Chapter 1: The New Student.
"Mom, do I really have to go to this school?" A 15 year old boy with long silver hair to the bottom of his back. Not just that feature, he has little fangs in his mouth with little claws on his hands. "Yes, Inuyasha. It was your father's idea for you to attend this school. It's just what the doctor ordered." An older woman named Izayoi answers the boy's complaining question adamantly. Inuyasha groans as he slouches in his kitchen stool.
"What do you mean by that statement?" Inuyasha asks her a few minutes later as he drinks from a water bottle. "The school is full of different beings, humans, half-demons like you, and demons." That kind of relieved the boy. "So, I won't be the only one there?" He asks her curious. "No, y ou won't be." An older male voice answers this time as he enters the kitchen. "Oh, hello Toga." Izayoi smiles brightly and gives him a speck kiss on the lips. "You should be grateful, Inuyasha. After all, Sesshomaru attended there as well." Toga tells him as he goes into the fridge to get something to drink.
Hearing that remark made Inuyasha growl, "There's no way I'm going to be like him. He was the most respected student there. I'm nothing more than an outcast." He burst out. Toga's glare silences his son's growl. "Don't you raise your voice at me, Inuyasha." He keeps his look as he sits in an empty chair across from him at the kitchen table.
Toga knows fully well how Inuyasha is whenever Sesshomaru is brought up. Inuyasha would complain that he's Sesshomaru shadow. Never to be seen no matter what. "I talked with the principal of the school and told him not to mention anything about him. Not just him but also the faculty. That way you won't feel left out." Toga explains his plan to calm him down.
After dinner, Inuyasha walks up to his bedroom to get ready for school. Luckily for him, he doesn't have to wear a uniform at the new school. As such he goes through his dresser to pull out a white shirt with a red zip up hoodie and a pair of blue jeans. The thing is that the hoodies are his thing. It's the only way to cover his dog ears on top of his head. Just having them exposed would just ridicule him right off the bat. He lays out the clothes on his huge bed and goes into his bathroom to wash up.
While showering, he knows fully well that the water would enter his ears so he had to cover them up with a specific pair of earplugs his father provided him when he was born. Inuyasha washed his hair and made sure that the shampoo and conditioner doesn't get in his eyes. Soon after his wraps a towel around his waist, shaking himself to dry his hair quickly, and changes into a pair of red pj pains and a white tank top. Being a half demon has his flaws. He's strong. With such strength his arms are quite muscular, along with his torso with a fade six pack. He made sure he set the alarm on his cell phone and made sure it was charged up. Seeing that it's about 10:30 pm he might as well get some sleep and get ready for tomorrow.
The next morning, the cell phone plays a guitar strumming to wake up Inuyasha. Inuyasha takes his hand out of the covers of his bed and turns it off. He pushes himself out of the comfort of his bed. He changes into the clothes he picked the night before and heads downstairs to see his mother making eggs. "Morning, mom." He greets her. "Morning, Inuyasha. How do you like your eggs?" Izayoi asks him. "Scrambled with cheese." Inuyasha requests as he gets some orange juice from the fridge and pours himself a glass of it.
Izayoi sees the hoodie that Inuyasha picked out. She knows how much he loves that hoodie. Maybe it's time to get a new one for him. "You're thinking about my hoodie?" Inuyasha points out instead of a question. Izayoi sighs as she focused on the eggs and adds the cheese to sprinkle on when she placed the eggs onto his plate. "Yeah. Maybe you could find another one like it." She said as she goes back to the stove to make herself a fried egg.
Inuyasha knows fully well that Izayoi dislikes that thing. Not that she can blame him. He has that thing for two years, and constantly wore it until a few parts of it begins to wear out with a few holes. "I can't get rid of it, mom. It's a pair of me." Inuyasha spoke after finishing his plate. "I'll see you later. I have to get going." He grabs his backpack and heads into the garage to get his motorcycle.
Izayoi watches him with a concerned look on her face. "It happened again, didn't it?" Toga asks as he walks in after spotting the look. "Yeah. I shouldn't have said that. And now I have to apologize to him with he gets home." Toga takes hold of her shoulder. "I know, but I think it's time to get him a new one regardless." He cheers her up. "I'll come back home and we can go to the store where we got the hoodie in the first place." He suggests to her. Izayoi agrees and hugs him. "Have a nice day at work." Toga returns the hug. "I will. You can count on it." He then leaves the house.
Inuyasha arrives at the school grounds. Luckily there was bike rack to park his motorcycle. He puts a few chains around the bike to the pole so that it won't get stolen. "That's a sweet ride you got there." A guy said to him from behind. Inuyasha turns around to see a boy around his age with black pulled back in a small tail at the nape of the neck. Not just that he has two little hoop earrings on his left ear. "Thanks." Inuyasha smiles to him. "I'm Miroku Houshi." He offers his hand. "Inuyasha Takahashi." Inuyasha shakes his hand. They walk into the building and enter the homeroom they've been assigned to.
As he and Miroku enter the room, there's a few other students of different species other than humans. "I guess my parents weren't kidding when they told me about this place." Inuyasha said as he and Miroku take two empty desk chairs. "I know and there's a few I seem to like so far." Miroku grins perversely. Inuyasha can tell that this guy is getting giddy with the girls around. So far he can tell that a few of them are humans, a few female demons. But no female half demons though.
The bell rings to tell that it's time for class. "Ok, class I can tell that there's a few new faces here as well as few familiar ones." A female teacher spoke up. "I'm Ms. Kagura, and I'll be your homeroom teacher." She introduces herself to the class. Sure she's really hot to a few younger male students due to her rose red eyes ruby lips, the teacher dress shirt and skirt to her knees and her night black hair in a bun with a feather in it.
All of a sudden, the door opens up with a girl entering in. "I'm so sorry. I was lost in the hallway." The pants as she explains her excuse. As she stood up, she's been awed by the boys in the room. She raised her one eyebrow in confusion. "No harm down, dear. Please take a seat." Ms. Kagura waves off the girl as she begins to write something down on the board.
The girl had to find an empty seat. Which was in front of Inuyasha's desk. As soon as she sat down, she brings out her notebook and pen to write down the stuff from the board. Little does she know that somewhat a scent is flowing towards Inuyasha's nose. Just one sniff from it, had somehow made something click from the back of his mind. 'What is that scent?' He asks himself as he tries to focus on the topic from the board. But every time he inhales, the scent is getting the better of him. As he looks up, he noticed something about the girl. And that discover was something he would never expect.
