Sup, guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about RWBY. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own RWBY, Monty Oum, and Rooster Teeth do.

(Patch.)

Her footsteps started to echo in the forest as the people behind her started to fade only to pack up a moment later. She frowned to herself before she ducked behind a tree while she started to think what happened next.

A bullet passed through the tree next to the woman as there were more footsteps behind him. She heard voices as she cradled something in her arms.

"Spread out and find her!" The woman heard as she waited for her salvation which made her frown. "The mistress demands the silver eyes be crushed before they ruin her plans!" The voice yelled while she sighed at the moment.

There was a soft cry as the object in her hand started to sob before the woman started to rock it back and forth. She didn't want the people who had pursued her to find the child she held in her arms.

"Where is she!?" One of the soldiers yelled before the sounds of engines started to cut into the air. "Find her now! She's trying to escape!" One of the soldiers added as the source of the craft started to draw closer and closer.

It was followed by the sounds of a Bullhead's signature autocannons started to roar over the sounds of their battle cries which were drowned out. The child cried as what little aura she held within her body blocked out the sounds of automatic gunfire. The woman who held the child shook her gently as the craft set down in a clearing a few hundred feet ahead of them in a manner that didn't bother her.

She had already run a few miles. A few more steps didn't nearly stymie her as much as it seemed to. She didn't want to complain about this at the moment considering it was one of the few reasons she was alive.

There was time to be annoyed when she wasn't being chased. The bullhead slowly started to power down before the woman started to speak.

"Maybe we don't power down the thing we're leaving on?" She asked before she frowned once more. "There's more of them coming this way. They're looking for me, not her." She stated before she looked in the direction of the criminals who were chasing after them.

Both of them knew more of the enemy was on the way. They had chased them from Mistral all the way to patch. There were going to be more battles as long as they lived in this world.

"You can't. She needs you." The other figure stated as the woman sighed to herself. "They'd hunt her as well when they find out what she can do. She has your eyes and that means she's in much danger as you are." The voice stated to which there was no real answer to the statement.

She knew damn well the man was right at the moment. Their eyes made them dangerous to the monsters who had grown and taken root in this world. That also made them dangerous to the monster's master at the end of the day and the master's followers? Well, they wouldn't allow them to stand against their queen and her power.

Still? She'd be placing a target on her daughter's back if she didn't try to protect her. What kind of parent would allow their child to be hunted if they were able to be protected from that sort of danger? She made her choice as easily as breathing at the end of the day.

She handed her child to her friend and drew her weapon. She turned only to plant a comforting kiss on her child's forehead and then vanish into the forest. The man she had handed her child to cursed and said nothing before he closed the door. She'd come back sooner or later before the Grimm were alerted to her.

Did it help that at the end of the day? They were simply cultists who were as insane as their master. He started the craft before slowly rising into the sky. She'd come back and the child she held was as in need of protection as the moment and he had plenty of time to return to the forest.

Author Notes

Phew. The first chapter is done! Since I kinda wanted to redo the Ruby story and such? I decided to try something new. The next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show the child arriving at the base and set the plot in motion. The next chapter will be 900-6500 words when it comes down to it. Until the next chapter, Lighting Wolf out!
