Ahem! Now! Before you all start reading, I have something to say. This is important since I know a lot of you will complain.
This is about Jaune's Arc of Embodiment. A lot of you would surely complain because in the future chapters, Jaune would not use the Arc of Embodiment to the fullest. That is by design.
How this would work differs from my other stories.
To be fair, Jaune is still OP, there is no question about it. However, the way Jaune will use his Arc of Embodiment would be proportional to the world he is in.
For example, in Remnant, Jaune will mostly use Martial Arts Technique and not full-blown magic, but he would still use the Arc of Embodiment for many things, just not in a destructive and flashy way. Such as making a weapon designed from a manga that he read in his previous world.
Now, if Jaune was to enter Type-Moon, he would then use the Arc of Embodiment in a way that is proportional to the world. That would be when he uses it in a flashy way, where destruction is inevitable.
I know many of you may not like it, but this is how this story will be.
Again, Jaune is still going to be OP for Remnant and any other world he enters. Well, he would eventually be OP after a little while.
Ten Years Later.
Over the years, Jaune had no memory of his past life. It was only to be unlocked on his tenth birthday.
Luck would have it. Today was Jaune's birthday. However, he has yet to awaken his memories.
"Happy Birthday, Jaune!" said Amarilla. She is Jaune's Mother. She was happy to see her little boy excited. "Go on, open it".
Ever since Jaune was born, he had a weak constitution. He was prone to sickness.
Seeing her baby boy up and active made Amarilla thrilled.
Jaune was getting better. In the first few years of his life, he had gotten sick six times in two months. Every other week, Jaune would be in the hospital.
Thankfully, the older Jaune got, the less sick he got, but in the hearts of Amarilla and Giallo, they already cemented his weakened self.
It was with a heavy heart that whenever Jaune asked his father for training to be like one of the Arc Heroes of the past; he had to refuse.
Giallo's response was always, 'When you are older, Jaune'. He meant it.
Hence, his gift for Jaune was a wooden sword and dummies.
Upon seeing his gift, Jaune's eyes sparkled. He looked at his dad and he saw him nod at him.
"Really?!" asked Jaune. This has been his dream since the day he heard his great-grandfather's stories. When he died, it made him more inclined to achieve his dream. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!".
Jaune ran into his room. He wants to take out a picture of his great grandfather and tell him the good news!
Amarilla looked at her husband.
"Are you sure about this?" asked Amarilla. She was worried about Jaune. "I know he is getting better every year, but training him would strain his body too much. It might cause him to relapse".
"I know, that's why I plan to start very light," said Giallo. When his father trained him, it was brutal, but he could not do the same with Jaune. There was a difference between them. "If this training regime doesn't work out, then I don't know what I'm going to do. You can see it in his face, Ari. This is what he wants. I don't think I can stop it. The only thing I can do is try to help him".
Amarilla sighed. She knew her husband was right. Jaune is stubborn from the very beginning.
Give up his dream because of his weak body? Never! Jaune isn't one to quit. When he was being bullied by the other kids, did he let them bully him because he differed from them? No, he showed them he can be better than them even if he was born with a weak body.
"I'll let you do it. I'll let you train him," said Amarilla. But there was a look of determination on her face. "However, if at any point Jaune becomes very sick while he is training, even if I have to be the bad guy, I'll have to put a stop to it".
Giallo nodded at his wife. Someone had to be the bad guy, and he never had the heart to be the one.
Sometimes, Giallo wondered why his wife had ever married him. She could have done better done him. Then again, he was grateful that his wife had married him. He would never have it any other way.
"Oh, by the way, it happened again. We received a bunch of things in the mail," said Amarilla. She was confused. The mailman said that they have a bunch of delivery from a person with the initials OTG. "I don't know who this OTG person is and why he or she is sending a package to our son Jaune. It has been ten years! It still hasn't stopped".
"Have you tried checking what the delivery is?" asked Giallo. He saw his wife nod at him. "So? What's in them?".
"I don't know. I can't seem to open it, for any of the delivery for the past ten years," said Amarilla. She tried to open them a bunch of times, but the wrapping wouldn't come off. She used scissors, knives. Heck, she even used the Arc family sword to cut it open, but it did nothing. "Whatever it is, they don't want anyone other than Jaune to open it".
"How does that work?" asked Giallo. If his wife couldn't open it, how was Jaune going to open it? "How is Jaune going to open it if you couldn't?".
"I don't have a clue. That's why I don't know if we should give the delivery to Jaune," said Amarilla. She suspected the box from the beginning. Then, adding to the fact that she was incapable of opening it, it made her want to keep it away from Jaune. "What do you think? Should we give it to Jaune, or should we store it away, maybe even throw it".
"This seemed to be too elaborate to be a prank. It could be an attack by criminals I sent to prison back in the day. It could also be because of my father's old enemies. Who knows? But I don't think they would wait to kill us until Jaune opens it. That just makes little sense. Plus, it has been ten years," said Giallo. He didn't understand why his enemies would wait for Jaune to be the one to open the box. "Besides, if it was an attack on us, why would they make it impossible to open?".
Amarilla and Giallo got to thinking, but they didn't know what to do.
It doesn't matter, however. When the time is right, the gifts would seek Jaune.
In his room, Jaune finished talking to the picture of his great-grandfather. He put the picture back on his bedside table and headed back to the living room where they were having his birthday party.
As he got there, Jaune saw his sibling waiting for their turn to have their presents open.
The second gift that Jaune got was from his eldest sister, Saphron. It was a scroll, his very own scroll? Jaune was happy. He finally gets to have a scroll he didn't have to share with everyone.
"Happy birthday, Jaune!" said Saphron. Seeing Jaune's eyes sparkle as he opened his present warmed her heart. "I hope you like it. I know you've been wanting to have your own for a while now".
Jaune went to Saphron and hugged her.
"I love it," said Jaune. Saphron was always the closest to him, sans his younger siblings. They cling to him a lot. "Thanks, Saph".
Saphron then patted Jaune's head. Her younger brother was always the best in her eyes.
The third gift that Jaune got was from Ivory. It was a book about observation. She thought that since Jaune wanted to be a Huntsman, then he needs to be very observant, especially of his environment when he's out on a mission.
"I know," said Ivory. She supports Jaune and his endeavours to be a Huntsman. This is her way of showing. "You won't appreciate my gift now, but you will".
Jaune didn't care what gift he got. All that matters is that it was from his parents and sibling. Heck, on his last birthday, all he got was a mug, and he cherishes it. The mug, to this day, is what he uses to drink many drinks, from milk to sodas to a weird concoction that he came up with.
Like Saphron, Jaune hugged his older sister as thanks for the gifts.
Next, it was the gift of Jaune's third oldest sister, Viridian. She got Jaune a book about making his novel.
Jaune didn't understand half of what was written in the book, but he was thankful to his sister for getting it for him.
"Thank you…?" said Jaune. "I'll… um… I'll keep this for later".
Amarilla was confused why Jaune was acting the way he was when he received Viridian's gift. So, she checked what Viridian got for Jaune.
"Viridian!" shouted Amarilla. She was shocked at what the book was. It was a book about making adult-themed books. "Why would you give this to your younger brother? Are you crazy?".
"Oh, come on, mom," said Viridian. She was nonchalant about the situation. "Jaune is a growing boy. Eventually, he would need to learn about the subject".
"Yeah! But not from this book!" said Amarilla. She then looked at her husband. "Okay, maybe the book could teach it better. Even if it is a book about writing smut".
Giallo looked around to see what his wife was looking at, but there was nothing but him. It then hit him.
"Hey! I take offence to that," said Giallo. He was insulted. Not really, but he always wanted to say that line. "I can teach Jaune about the birds and the bees".
"Really?" asked Amarilla. She saw Giallo nod his head. "That's funny because I heard from Saphron that you couldn't even teach it to her when she asked you about it".
"Um…" said Giallo. He had no answer to that. "Okay, yeah. The book would be better for Jaune".
"That's what I thought," said Amarilla.
After the conversation about the book and Giallo's incapability of teaching the birds and the bees, Jaune continued to open his presents. It is the last one in the pile.
The last gift is from Jaune's younger siblings.
"Ohhhhh! You girls didn't have to get me anything. I know you were all saving money for things that you wanted to get for yourself," said Jaune. He appreciated the gift, but he didn't want them compromising things they want for him just because it was his birthday. So, he decided to use his saved-up money to get them things that they wanted to buy. "Thank you, guys".
Jaune then opened the present. It was a blue bunny pyjama. Upon laying his hands on it, it was so soft that he could melt into it. One touch and that is all it took him to fall in love with it.
"This is so… soft," said Jaune. He could get lost in its softness. "This must have cost a fortune".
"He-he-he! It cost little," said Beryl.
"Yeah! We bought the fabric for cheap!" said Cyan.
"Un! We then asked mom to help us make the pyjama. It took time, but it was worth it," said Jade.
The three girls are triplets.
Jaune has seven sisters in total.
They are Saphron, four years older than Jaune, Ivory, three years older, Viridian, one year older, and the triplets, Beryl, Cyan, and Jade, three years younger. The youngest of the is Olive, she is five years old.
After opening all his presents, Jaune and his family played a game. It was Remnant: The Game.
The best player from the top to bottom was Ivory, the observant and analytical of the family, Giallo, the Huntsman, Amarilla, the housewife/former Huntress, Saphron, the spontaneous, Viridian, the creative one, then Jaune, although he is only ten, he shows signs of a great mind, then last, the triplets, Beryl the cook, Cyan the musician and Jade the dancer.
As for Olive, well, she has yet to play the game.
This is the Arc Family.
