It's been a week since Jaune's birthday.

As promised by his dad, Jaune was getting the training he wanted.

And it was going well, he has a talent for being a fighter.

"That's good, Jaune," said Giallo. He was proud of his son's perseverance. "You're going good".

For the start of his training, Jaune has been asked to swing the sword that was given to him on his birthday a hundred times.

Every day since his birthday, Jaune has been swinging his sword to increase his endurance. Not once did Jaune complain. Others would have asked to do something else, but not Jaune. He was serious about his training.

However, as Jaune swung his sword for the fiftieth time for the day, his head started hurting. His body started heating up. This caused him to collapse.

Seeing his son collapse, Giallo immediately checked on him, then he brought Jaune to the hospital as quickly as he could.

Jaune's temperature was through the roof. What his body was going through should have killed him. His temperature was well over 49 degrees Celsius. That was not something a normal person could survive. At the very least, it would cause brain damage.

Amarilla and the others saw Giallo with Jaune in his arms. They didn't have to think twice before they knew what was going on.

Giallo and Amarilla got in the car and asked Saphron and the older girls to take care of the young ones.

Saphron and the others had no issues with watching the younger ones. Everyone was worried about Jaune.

In the car, as Giallo drove, Amarilla asked him what happened.

"I don't know," said Giallo. For the past week, they haven't increased the difficulty of the training. "He was fine for an entire week. I have changed nothing".

"This is what I was talking about. This was what worried me," said Amarilla. She caressed Jaune in her arms as she comforted him. His breathing was intense. "This… this is more intense than his previous attacks".

"I know! I checked his temperatures, and it was insane!" said Giallo. He couldn't even believe that his son's temperature was well over 40 degrees Celsius. "This isn't normal. His temperature is one of to fifty. That kind of temperature should have killed him, but his body was holding. Thankfully, Jaune's body is holding. I am thankful for that".

"No more training, Giallo," said Amarilla. She was afraid that if Jaune was to train again, it would get even worse. "You promised me that if Jaune had an attack whilst he was training, you would stop his training. I know Jaune would be angry, but it is for his good".

"I know, Ari," said Giallo. It saddened him he would have to break Jaune's dream of being a Huntsman. It hurts that he must do that, but it must be done. "This is going to hurt him more than this sickness".

"I know, Giallo," said Amarilla. She hated she must stop Jaune's dream to protect him. But she would rather have her child alive and hating her, rather than her having to bury him. He barely lived his life. "I will bear all the burden of his hatred if I must if it meant keeping him safe and well".

As Jaune battled the fever, he was remembering.

The reason for his fever is his body going on overdrive as decades of memories flooded his mind.

"Augh! OTG should have warned me I would feel like crap when I receive my previous life's memories," thought Jaune. The headache he was feeling and the fever he had was painful. "Dang it! This is intense! I think I'm going to pass out. It also sucks my training would stop because of me receiving my memories".

Pass out he did.

Seeing this, Giallo and Amarilla worried more.

"Jaune! Please! Hold on!" said Amarilla. She thought Jaune passing out meant he was getting worse. "Giallo, how much longer?".

"Just a few more minutes!" said Giallo. He was driving as fast as he could safely. Doing so otherwise would just endanger them. "We're almost there! I already called in and told them we have a child with a temperature of 49 degrees Celsius. They said they would wait outside for us".

As the hospital said, the moment Giallo and Amarilla arrived at the emergency room, doctors were ready for them. A child with a fever of 49 degrees Celsius was not normal. It was a miracle that the child was not dead.

Giallo and Amarilla watched as the doctors worked to save their son.

"Do you think Jaune will be alright?" asked Amarilla.

"I can't say for sure, but Jaune is a fighter. I'm sure he would be fine," said Giallo.

It took hours before the doctors could lower Jaune's temperature.

Well, the doctors did diddly squat. The reason for Jaune's lowered temperature is the ending of his memories flooding his mind.

When Giallo and Amarilla heard about Jaune being fine, they headed inside the room to check up on him, but he was sleeping.

Jaune needed it, his mind and body were on overdrive. He was exhausted.

"Thank Oum! Jaune's going to be fine," said Amarilla. She was glad that her baby boy was going to be okay.

Giallo was by his wife's side. He was happy that Jaune could pull through.

However, the hard part has not ended. It was just starting. What are they going to tell Jaune about his dream of being a Huntsman? It was going to be hard, but it was for his good.

It didn't matter, Jaune was already making plans to train on his own. Or he was because now, he was with OTG.

Jaune was pulled into the home of OTG.

Why? Because OTG wanted to speak to him.

Seeing the Eternal Darkness, Jaune panicked.

"Oh, crap! I can't believe I died from receiving my memories," said Jaune. His eye twitched at the unfortunate event. "Dang it! This suck!".

"Worry not, Jaune," said OTG. He looked at Jaune. "You are not dead. I merely brought you here as I needed to speak to you".

"I'm not dead? I'm not dead! Woo hoo!" said Jaune. He was happy that he didn't die. "This is great. You know, bringing me here scared the shit out of me. Also, you could have warned me it would hurt to have my memories back".

"It wouldn't have mattered if I told you since it would happen while you didn't remember," said OTG. There was no point. "Anyway, I brought you here because now that you have your memories, my gift would seek for you".

"Wait? That's the reason you brought me here?" asked Jaune. He had an eyebrow raised. OTG shook his head. "If that's not the reason, then why did you bring me here? I mean, I don't mind spending time with you, but you could have at least invited me instead of just pulling me here. And I'm curious, what gifts are we talking about?".

"First off, duly noted, next time I will send an invitation," said OTG. It was rude of him to yank Jaune from Remnant to the Eternal Darkness. "Second, I won't tell you. You can find out when you get back home. Although, your parents would be shocked to see that the gifts are no longer in their hiding place as they are now in your room".

Jaune nodded. It would freak his parents out. Amarilla was already suspicious of the gift.

"Third, the reason I brought you here is due to me asking you not to train until you are fifteen," said OTG. This confused Jaune. "This is for your good, Jaune. Now that you have your memories back, you would end up like in your previous life. You would dedicate your life to helping others. That would mean you would train every day and miss out on spending time with your family".

"I wouldn't do that!" said Jaune. He was sure he wouldn't.

"No, I know you would do just that," said OTG. OTG was not joking. Jaune will end up missing out on family time. OTG was helping Jaune not end up like his previous life. OTG already saw the future that Jaune was heading to, and he sought to stop it. This was the only way to make Jaune lead a better life for himself and those he cherishes and not only for the one he cherishes. "In your previous life, you were like this. The reason you never had time to date is that you dedicated yourself to the people. Sure, you could achieve the impossible, but in this life, I want you to be a bit more selfish, Jaune. Do what you want for yourself, and not for others. I am not saying stop helping others, but I am saying do things for yourself as well as for others. This time don't die with regrets".

Jaune looked at OTG. He remembered every second of his previous life. Everything OTG said was true. He dedicated his life to helping others and never himself. He enjoyed it, but he also missed out on many things such as having a family that he always wanted.

"If you do this, I'll give you a gift that you would love," said OTG. Jaune didn't know what it was, but if OTG said he was going to love it, then surely, he would. "However, I will give it only when you turn fifteen. It would be something useful for your training".

Even without the gift, Jaune was already in, but he said be a bit more selfish… So? What the heck! Why not do it and get something in return?

"You know I can still read your mind, right?" said OTG. If he had an eyebrow to raise, he would. "Nonetheless, if you do it, I will give you the gift".

"You know, with the way you act around me, I forget you are the One True God," said Jaune. He sighed. OTG was more akin to a kind old man than an Almighty God. "It's kind of cool".

Jaune preferred humble powerhouses over arrogant ones. It is okay to be confident in one's strength, but being arrogant just because you're strong? That's just unnecessary.

It is for this reason Jaune hated the young masters of Chinese novels. Half the time, they didn't even work hard for their strength; it was all thanks to daddy's help.

Jaune shivered at the thought of young masters calling for daddy's help because they couldn't fight for themselves moments after being arrogant with their strength.

OTG snickered at Jaune's thoughts. Because he saw Jaune's future. He knew what was going to happen.

"Hold on! I know you don't have a face or anything, but I had this thought. Did you snicker?" asked Jaune. He felt as if OTG snickered at him. "Oh, my Oum! I'm going to end up dealing with young masters in the future, aren't I? Huh? But how would that happen?".

"Enough about the young masters," said OTG. He then waved his hand. "It is time for you to return to Remnant. Until next time, Jaune".

"Okay, let's do this again another time. It is nice chatting with you. It reminds me of my great-grandfather," said Jaune. He loved his great-grandfather. It was unfortunate he never knew his grandfather. He bet it would be just as great. "Bye! Until later!".

Jaune woke up in the hospital with Giallo and Amarilla by his side. He smiled at his parents.

When Amarilla and Giallo saw Jaune woke up, they were over the moon! Their son was fine.
