It's Wasabi's birthday so I figured I'd get out two AU fics for him. The other features his OC twin brother, Micah, who is not in this AU. That fic is called "Lopsided Birthday Cake" and you can read it after you read this one.

"Let me get this straight, you want to date two people? Why?" Khary had never been interested in even one person, so he found it hard to believe that anyone could be interested in two at once.

"Well, we met this really cool person, and they kind of made my heart flutter like it did when I first met Venus, and Rafael is already polyamorous so Venus and I talked about it and we decided we're going to ask them out."

"That's cool and all if you both want it, but that just sounds like a lot of work."

"We both want it," Venus said with a warm smile, her hand on Wasabi's arm.

"And we know it might be difficult at first, but our relationship is strong and we want to put in the effort."

"Lot of work for me, having to get used to a new sibling-in-law," Khary said before dipping his french toast stick in syrup.

"Don't get ahead of yourself, Khare Bear, we haven't even asked them out yet."

"Well, good luck, etc. You have my blessing."

"Thank you," Venus said with a laugh.

"My pleasure." Khary teased Wes a lot, but he really did just want to see his brother happy.

Even with his brother's blessing, Wasabi was nervous when they went to dance class.

"What if-" he started, and Venus held up her hand to stop him.

"No what-ifs, love. Either they say yes or they don't, and it's going to be okay, we're going to be okay, either way."

"You're right."

"I'm always right," Venus laughed.

"I'm glad we're doing this together," Wes said seriously.

"Me too. This is going to be good for us, whatever happens."

Wasabi took a deep breath and they headed inside to the dance class to face the future.

And Rafael wasn't there.

"We'll ask them next time," Venus promised, as Wesley's anxiety spiked.

"Right. Next time."

That gave Wes another week to wait and worry and endure his brother's teasing.

"Should we even still go through with it?" Wesley asked, the night before the next class while they were lying in bed together, his strong arms wrapped around Venus' small frame.

"Do you still have feelings for them?"

"I think so? I'll know for sure tomorrow if they show up."

"Whatever happens, I don't think it's healthy to deny your feelings."

"Mm… Then I guess there's no backing out now. I love you, good night."

"I love you too. Night." Venus snuggled into their lover's arms and they were both asleep within minutes.

Venus and Wasabi held hands as they walked into the dance class. When Wes saw Rafael he nearly turned and walked out, feeling so nervous, feeling butterflies like he had the first time. Venus squeezed his hand and he felt a bit braver.

Rafe lit up and waved when they saw Venus and Wes.

"You guys came back!"

"Yeah, I think we're going to keep coming," Wes said, though to be honest, Rafael's potential rejection could change that.

"We didn't see you last week," Venus said innocently.

"Oh, yeah, I had a performance last Saturday and I had no time to squeeze class in."

"Performance?" Wes asked.

"Oh, yeah, I play piano, among other things. Dance is just my hobby, music is my passion."

"That's really cool. Venus is a musician, too."

"I just sing," Venus said, blushing now.

"Like an angel," Wes said.

"You two are adorable," Rafael said with a grin.

"Yeah, speaking of us two, we actually have a question for you." The words felt awkward in Wesley's mouth, but he had to push forward or he would never come right out and say it.

"Oh, yeah? Is it about dance?" Rafael was either utterly oblivious to Wesley's nerves or they were playing dumb.

"Not exactly," Venus said with a laugh, feeling a bit nervous too, but trying not to show it because she wanted to be brave for Wes.

"I'm sorry if this is too forward but, it was really nice meeting you the other week, you seem really cool and we'd love to get to know you better, so Venus and I were wondering if you wanted to go on a date with us. With both of us. At the same time." Now Wesley really wanted to turn and flee. Venus squeezed his hand comfortingly.

"Sure," Rafael said with a smile.

"Wow, that was immediate," Wes said, shocked that Rafael could know so quickly and also that Rafael said yes.

"Well, the way I see it, it's a win-win for me. I like going on dates, so at least if it doesn't work out I'll have had a fun new experience, and if it does work out, I get two very cute new partners. Win-win." Rafael winked at both of them and Wes got flustered.

"I thought I was never going to get up the nerve to ask you. If Venus hadn't supported me I wouldn't have."

"Well, I think this will be good for us. All of us. Like you said, Rafael, it'll be a win-win either way."

"Now that we're seeing each other you can call me Rafe," Rafe said, smiling at his potential new partners.

"Deal. I look forward to our date, Rafe."

"Me too," Venus said.

"Me three," Rafe said with a grin. "But class is about to start, so… Let's dance."

If you guys ask nicely I will write a sequel about the date, but this wraps up the two-shot.
