NOTE: This was not a prompt, but another song log that I've been thinking about for a while. This song is also the 26th ending from Gintama if you were curious. If you want to know how it sounds, then just put the title into the YouTube search bar.
I do not own the song, Persona, or Ben 10!
Enjoy and Review!
Log 19: Acchi Muite
Look that way, then this way - cheer for this era!
Look that way, then this way - just sound it out!
A slow zoom out of an old worn-out picture was seen. A younger Max Tennyson stood next to a beautiful woman with long flowing gray hair. In front of the two were three young boys, each one dressed in baseball gear. Behind the family was the Rustbucket, looking no different than it does presently.
Right as the beat dropped the picture crumbled to dust as if those happy days never existed at all.
Try putting your hands together with a clap - Just put your hands together and clap!
Next to appear were two seperate pictures. One of the images showed a child Yukiko standing between her parents. The young heiress stared at the camera with a lonely expression written all over.
The second picture showcased a child Chie. The young tomboy was alone by the riverside, practicing the cool action moves she had seen in movies.
Both images faded out, giving birth to a new one. This time both girls appeared together, happily walking home from school. Chie did a high jump kick in the air as Yukiko giggled at her friend's hyper energy.
The sounds that result will give birth to new intention - CLAP CLAP!
A new photo appeared; This time it was a child Yosuke. The boy had his headphones over his ears, blocking out the adult conversation his father and other men were having.
It faded away to give birth to a newer picture. This time it was Yosuke working at Junes, holding a couple of boxes. The magician was yelling at Teddie, who was busy playing around with the local kids, to help him.
If we let our eyes meet, we'll understand, so make sure you don't look away!
The next photo showcased a baby Kevin being held by his mother. Before it faded out, changing into a picture of him and Kwarrel eating together in the Null Void Incarcecon.
Your purpose, which can't find the right words, Can be found right there!
Another photo was of a different kind of Velvet Room, however this one was a blue elevator instead of a limo. Igor sat at a desk in the middle of the large elevator. Next to him stood a woman with short gray hair, dressed in a light blue dress, and blue hat.
It faded out into a picture of the current room, the limousine. Igor sat as he always did, with his hands folded in front of his face. Margaret sat dutifully next to him, reading the nomicon of Personas to pass the time.
Not wanting it to end, we've kept on and on.
Three separate photos appeared this time. One of them showed a young Rise hiding in the bathroom of her elementary school to avoid her bullies. The next showed Naoto, who watched her detective grandfather with pure curiosity. The last one had a small Kanji, who held a doll in his hands as he hid behind his mother.
All three pictures disappeared and a new one took its place. Within this photo, Rise had her arms looped around Kanji and Naoto's. The idol happily skipped along the street, dragging the embarrassed duo with her.
Surely we always knew - now is the time to make a change!
Two photos appeared on the screen. This first one was of Dojima and Nanako. The father and daughter duo sat at their dinner table, both feeling empty and lost due the missing piece of their family.
The other photo was a young Yu Narukami, his eyes were covered by the white bangs of his bowl cut hair. He stood between his parents, whose faces were blackened out. His eyes were blank as if there was no life in them.
Both pictures faded from existence and were replaced by a singular one. Yu now stood in front of the Dojima household with Nanako and Dojima. A small smile graced his features as he held up Nanako in his arms, the girl radiating with happiness. Dojima had an arm around Yu's shoulder, proud of his nephew and daughter.
Look that way, then this way - cheer for this era!
A new photo appeared. Frank and Natalie Tennyson stood over Kenny as held his new baby sister in his arms. Both parents looked proud at their son as the boy did his best not to drop her.
It faded away to make way for another photo. This time Kenny and Gwen stood next to one another, with the elder brother hugging his little sister affectionately. Gwen, however, was fighting in his grasp to escape the embarrassment.
Look that way, then this way - protect this place!
The new photo was of Carl and Sandra Tennyson sitting in the hospital room. Sandra held a tiny bundle in her arms as a baby Ben tried to open his eyes.
It switched to the final photo. Ben was soaring through the air on his hoverboard, laughing joyously as the air brushed past his face.
There's meaning in all the things we've chosen or tossed aside, and it all starts from here, oh oh!
Look that way, then this way - use those hands and eyes to show it!
Everything returned to the present, where Max was sitting on the steps of the Rustbucket, staring at the old photo from the beginning. His attention was taken from the picture when a loud noise forced him to look away.
In front of him were the charred remains of the picnic table, Yukiko passed out in Gwen's arms, and Ben laughing at the scene. A small bug buzzing away from the trio.
Max shook his head, smiling at his grandchildren. He pocketed the photo and got up to help wake Yukiko back up.
