Tsurara had to admit, Night Raven was weird...but in a really good way. Some of the students gave her off bad vibes, but her instincts told her to head towards the large greenhouse.
She felt only relief the moment she spotted a familiar pair of ears.
"Leona-nii-san!" she said cheerfully.
Leona sat up at that, and stared at her.
"What's a cub like you doing in Night Raven?" he asked, confused. While he couldn't stand small kids, he could tolerate young teens to an extent.
"I feel through a travel mirror and the headmage gave me a guest pass, since Vil-nii will likely send me home anyway," said Tsurara. "But I can't seem to find his class at all."
"He's in potions. Crewel would be pissed if there was an outsider in there, as it can get explosive," said Leona. Tsurara looked unhappy. Then her stomach gave a light gurgle. "Have you even eaten?"
"I was heading to lunch when I fell through the mirror."
Leona sighed.
"Follow me. I'll show you to where the cafeteria is at least. Vil would have my head otherwise."
Ruggie was just as surprised seeing her there as everyone else, but didn't mind since Leona would foot the bill anyway.
Tsurara watched in fascination as he elbowed his way in and secured two meals, despite the minor war over the food.
"How did you do that?"
"Shishishi...trade secret, hime-chan," said Ruggie. "You gotta be quick to secure food around here, especially the lunch specials."
"Ora? What's mon petite flamme doing here in Night Raven?" said Rook.
"Hi, Rook-nii!" said Tsurara. "The headmage gave me a guest pass since I accidentally fell through the travel mirror nii-chan has in the castle."
"No way, what's a total cutie like this doing in Night Raven?" said Cater. "Talk about picture worthy!"
Rook swiftly covered up the phone's camera with his hand.
"I wouldn't recommend it...Vil had a special jammer placed on her necklace to prevent unauthorized photos," said Rook.
"Why would Vil care about a teenage girl?" asked another voice. It was Riddle. "For that matter, why is she even here? Girls aren't allowed to attend and she's much too young."
"Vil is my older brother, and I fell through by accident," said Tsurara.
The expression on their faces was particularly funny.
Vil's reaction was equally as hilarious, as he had strolled in like a king...only to immediately go into big brother mode the second he registered her presence.
"Tsurara? What are you doing on campus?"
"Hi, onii-chan!" said Tsurara happily, hugging him without any hesitation whatsoever.
The sight of Vil going into big brother mode made several people turn heads to stare...especially his own dorm.
No one was used to the softer side of Vil save for a very rare few.
Since they still had classes, Rook offered to take notes for Vil so he could show his sister around campus. Tsurara was happy to spend time around her favorite big brother...and Vil fussed over her in a way that had people staring in disbelief.
"Ora? Who's this adorable little one?" said a voice.
Tsurara 'eeped' in surprise, while Vil rolled his eyes.
"Really Vanrouge, must you?" he said.
Lilia came down from where he had hung upside down with a smile.
"It's unusual to see you walking around with such an adorable little one hanging on your every word."
"Onii-chan?" asked Tsurara.
"Tsurara, this is Lilia Vanrouge...the vice-housewarden of Diasomnia. Their dorm is based around the legend of Maleficent, who we call the Thorn Fairy and they embody the spirit of Nobility."
"It's nice to meet you, Lilia-san," said Tsurara politely.
She blushed a bit when he took her hand and lightly kissed the top of it.
"It's a delight to meet you, little one," said Lilia with a wink.
"I'm showing her around the school, since the headmage only gave her a day pass," said Vil.
"Have you shown her the Equestrian Club? Most girls her age like horses," suggested Lilia. Tsurara perked up.
Vil could already see a visit to that particular club in his future...which gave him the idea of introducing her to the other clubs on campus.
(Tsurara loved the horses so much that Vil foresaw a visit from Dino in his future to acquire some.)
In the board game club...
"Azul-nii-san!" said Tsurara cheerfully.
"I had heard you were here," said Azul smiling.
"Eh? What's a teenage girl doing on campus?!" said Idia. "Is this some Isekai moment I wasn't told about?"
Tsurara pouted at that.
"If I fit any genre, it would be the Otome trope or the Mahou Shoujo one...not a trope infamous for having 'traffic accidents' or someone being reincarnated as a villainess or worse," she shot back.
Idia, rather than be offended, looked thoughtful.
"Wait... You know anime and manga tropes?" he said surprised.
She gave him a deadpan look.
"I'm a Japanese girl, of course I know those tropes. It was literally the only escape I had."
"Really? What genre of game do you play?" asked Idia, and the two got into an in-depth discussion within moments. Being able to talk about games put him more into his element and caused him to relax, despite his introverted nature.
Vil sidled up to Azul.
"So what happened?"
"She fell through the travel mirror back home. I'm sending her back after dinner," said Vil.
"Hmm... You could always show her the lounge. I'm sure Jade or Floyd could make her something."
"I plan to take her there once we leave here," said Vil. "I'll show her a few of the clubs and let her have her fun."
He wasn't surprised Tsurara ended up with Idia's username and friended him online. Sky Attraction was a very powerful force.
From there they went to visit the Monstro Lounge, with Floyd cooking her up something light to eat and Jade mixing up a non-alcoholic cocktail for her to enjoy. Tsurara made sure to give both of them a massive hug.
From there Vil took her to his club, which he founded last year. The Pomefiore members were in strong disbelief that instead of the strict Housewarden who made them adhere to protocol, they got to see the doting older brother who was clearly overprotective of his baby sister.
It was getting late, so they made a brief visit to the Light Music club before Vil introduced his sister to his Mists.
As he predicted, Mukuro and Chrome took to Sam's brand of magic like ducks to water. To be fair, Mukuro was halfway in that realm on a good day and had no issues making "friends on the other side".
In Pomefiore...
"So pretty!" said Tsurara happily. She was dressed in a feminized version of the dorm uniform...which mostly meant Vil tracked down a uniform her size to go over her skirt.
Ironically, this meant finding a uniform that was about the same size as Epel's.
None of the Pomefiore students besides Rook knew how to handle having the housewarden's little sister over for dinner. Fortunately, they managed to get through it without any disasters happening like the orientation meeting.
Did not stop Vil from giving certain people stern glares to change the topic fast.
Tsurara was almost disappointed the day was over, but she was happy to have spent such a large chunk of it visiting her brother. Vil made a note to have that mirror placed somewhere a bit more secure...if only to prevent other 'accidental' visits.
Then he had to go and try to reinstate his image of being a hardass around his dorm members. It wouldn't do for them to slack off because they thought he was soft.
Epel was breathing heavily, and inwardly cursing his dorm leader. He didn't care how strong Vil was, this was inhumane torture! At least he was doing better than some of the other freshmen. One kid had already thrown up.
"One more lap, my spudlings, and then you're done," said Vil.
Nearby Coach Vargas was keeping an eye on them, as he fully approved of Vil's training regimen for the freshmen.
Epel managed to put on one last spurt of energy, before he almost collapsed.
He nearly jumped at the cold drink pressed against his neck.
"Thanks," he said, accepting the bottle from Rook who was passing them out. He took a deep sip...and nearly choked in surprised when he realized what it was.
"Drink up. The natural sugars will give you enough energy to wash off properly, and the vitamins will help fuel your body."
"Man this is good! What is this stuff?" asked one freshman.
"Yeah, this apple juice is really tasty!" said another appreciatively.
Vil had a slight smirk on his face, as he looked dead at Epel who was shocked that they were all praising his family's products.
"Funny you should mention that, because I ordered this from a lesser known farm. They're the same ones who sold me the trees currently on my island."
"Wait...you own trees from my family's farm?" said Epel in surprise.
"Of course," said Vil. "When I went looking for saplings to start my own orchard, I looked for both quality and history. Your family's orchard not only had the longest, most selective lineage, but from my research it's highly likely they got their first cutting from a tree that dates back all the way to the fairest queen's time."
Epel noticed how everyone was looking at him in surprise.
"Your family runs a farm?" said one of the freshman.
Epel nodded slowly, embarrassed.
"The Felmier family not only run one of the oldest farms, but also have some of the best apples since they take immaculate care of their trees," said Vil. "Never mind the fact they do extremely selective breeding to insure not only quality, but the health of the overall stock."
Epel felt a tiny bit proud, but also upset that Vil knew about his family.
He quietly sipped the cider Vil had provided.
Coincidentally when he called home and asked about how the family business was going, his mother was over the moon about how it had picked up more than it had in the past few years. The last time they had any big orders, it was some mystery buyer who was interested in any extra saplings they had.
Looks like that particular mystery had been solved.
He later found himself in a quiet meeting with the dorm leader.
"You want to know why I singled you out, out of all the students in Pomefiore?"
Epel nodded slightly. He had wondered why Vil had taken an interest in him at all, beyond disciplining him.
"Next year is my senior year, which means I will no longer be able to act as housewarden. That means I need to find the best person to take my place as the next housewarden. Out of all the students currently in our dorm, you showed the most promise in taking my place," said Vil calmly.
Epel stared.
"Wait...you're grooming me?" he said surprised. "But you always force all that fancy stuff down my throat!"
"Not all battles are fought with fists or weapons," said Vil, rolling his eyes. "Some are fought using words, and your accent is so thick it's nearly impossible to understand without prior exposure."
Epel bristled at that.
"Besides, do you have any idea how hard it is to find competent underlings who won't cause an excess of paperwork because of weird personality traits?" said Vil, annoyed beyond belief. "Your brash nature isn't nearly as tiring as Mukuro's behavior or Hibari's bad habit of attacking people who annoy him. I wasn't about to pass up someone with your potential."
Vil saw a lot of his old self, only without half the insecurity or self-confidence issues he had in Epel. If trained up right, he was sure the kid could help him keep the demonic paperwork he had in his last life to something far more reasonable. At the very least, he would make an excellent personal assistant, which would free up Rook to act as his Right Hand.
Mukuro was his very enthusiastic Left, since Hibari was usually too busy helping Azul run the equivalent of a much more competent CEDEF.
"...You want me to work for you," said Epel, surprised.
"Farming is good and all, but you've mentioned once that this is the first time you've had any real interaction with people your own age. I'm giving you a chance to grow away from your hometown while still supporting it. Besides, while the orchard is doing well enough, it's not thriving the way I'd like. I'd happily pay for you or your family to 'consult' on how to improve their condition while in reality having an overdue vacation," said Vil.
Epel didn't have to think too hard about it. He found Vil odd and slightly annoying, but he took his family's business seriously. If not for Vil, they might have had to cut back on much needed repairs and the like for the farm.
If all he had to do was put up with Vil and his odd habits, then he'd gladly do so. Besides, his grandparents could use a proper vacation and he'd heard a lot about Trinity from the pamphlets around the dorm. Azul was very big on promoting the island since it gave him such a massive revenue and influence.
