Alright so the reasons for why I'm discontinuing Aliens and a Vampire is mainly because upon going back over it, while I was happy with the characters and such. I wasn't happy with how I did things as I initially wanted too. Which is mainly for 2 reasons.
One being that the whole way in which Tsukune got the Ultimatrix wrote me into a corner, considering that by not making it too where his universes' Azmuth or even Albedo created the Ultimatrix and made it so he got Ben's hand-me down pretty much limited what I could do going forward. Not to mention that as I tried to write more chapters the more I felt like everything concerning his Ultimatrix felt like a bootleg version of what I could've given him. Something that I want to fix when I do a Version 2.0 of the story.
The other being that I didn't get to do things in where instead it going in the route in getting the Ben 10 universe and more of that world and what I could connect too it introduced, that I bungled it and as such rushed it the moment DXD got put into things, and while I love Highschool DXD. Even I have to admit that it wasn't really fun writing it out when I pretty much neglected to include anything in the Ben 10 universe beyond the Ultimatrix, and in writing more chapters I ran into the brick wall of how I could further incorporate aliens and such into the world I wanted to make without it opening up a ton of plot-holes that I couldn't really resolve without it feeling contrived. Not to mention that it also bungled the fact that if I wanted to do aliens going forward that it would heavily conflict on the DXD world being one that's vastly supernatural vs how Ben 10 is a sprawling intergalactic universe, and would've been an absolute clusterfuck to handle and deal with.
Therefore, I've decided that it would be best to discontinue this story and begin a reboot of it that I plan to launch in Spring or Summer of 2023. Wherein I can re-balance things out and let the story have more breathing room and not feel like I'm speed-running my way through things and burning myself out like crazy trying to cover ground in telling a story that I like, but at the end of it feel more like I'm doing it as a chore at the end of it.
With that being said this is Nomadic Chaos bringing this to a close, and giving you guys a potentially better alternative to what has in all fairness been more of a hot mess with my upcoming reboot. Thanks for all the support and patience you've shown with the story up till now, and I hope to see you guys in the next one.
Until then, if you want to see another crossover like this. I have one up called The Alien Soldier concerning it as a Ben 10 and Naruto crossover. Thanks for reading and may the power of Chaos be with y'all :)
