Well Geeze that took forever to get out. Sorry but keep in mind, fanfic writers love reviews and the lack of them leave me not wanting to do this... no pressure though. Anyhow, Let's get to link and Fredrick.

Chapter 4: Link and Frederick support

Link was busy doing his usual training routine. Which was slash his sword at many dummies while doing the loudest of grunts.

"Alright! Just a couple more hours and I'll be good to go for the next battle." Link smirked to himself.

"Ah Sir Link, I was hoping to find you here." Said Frederick with his usual stern face.

"Ah Sir Frederick, nice to see you on this fine day." Link smiled at the great knight in front of him. "So what is it that you needed?"

"I was hoping you could teach me a couple of your sword techniques?" Frederick asked.

"What why?" Link cocked his eye brow. "I've seen you in battle. You've taken out foe after foe just for Chrom."

"Exactly, young one." Frederick said. "But after noticing you're sword technique, I have come to the conclusion that even I have a lot to learn. So I figured how better to protect Chrom and Lissa then to learn some new techniques from the most skilled swordsman there is.

"Well I wouldn't call myself the most skilled swordsman there is but alright then." Link smiled. "The first one is the ending blow. It goes like this. While your enemy is on the ground stab them in the chest before they get up, killing them for good." Try it on this dummy."

"Alright" Frederick said with a smile before slashing his sword at the the dummy, pushing it to the floor and stapling it. "Ha. Child's play."

"Yep. That was the first hidden skill I learned." Said Link. "Now let's go onto the shield bash. But first let me get you a shield. I'd offer you mine but, it's one of a kind. And really expensive."

Link and Frederick have reached support level C.

The battle the shepherds had recently was tuff to say the least. Lots of enemies kept coming in all direction. But Link was never one to give up and in no time, he and the shepherds had the enemy running like little girls. Just right now, Link was practicing his swordsmen ship when Frederick walked up to him.

"Evening Link." Smiled Frederick.

"Hello Frederick, I have to say, you did remarkably well last battle." Smiled Link. "You were parrying attacks from the enemy left right and center."

"Why thank you." Smiled Frederick. "But I couldn't have done it had it not been for you, Link. Your lessons have boosted my prowess in combat."

"Well I don't like to toot my own horn but I am considered the best there is in my homeland." Link said confidently.

"But I must ask, where did you learn these hidden skills?" Asked Frederick.

"Oh..." Link's cocky smile went away. "Well I know this is gonna sound crazy but what I'm about to tell you is the truth."

"Go on." Said Frederick.

"My ancestor came to me as a ghost and taught me all the skills I needed." Said Link. "Though he took the form of a golden wolf and it was there that I learned everything."

"You're right, you do sound crazy." Said Frederick, causing Link to cringe. "But I've witnessed weirder phenomenons."

"Well great." Smiled Link. "Now let's get onto the next hidden skill. The mortal draw."

"Sounds deadly." Said Frederick. "My type of skill. What is it?"

"Alright, this skill is highly dangerous but it has been proven effective on my journey." Link stepped aside to allow Frederick to attack the dummy. "Now for the mortal draw, you must first unsheathe your sword right when the enemy is in front of you, and attack. It's an instant kill, however it leads you to be vulnerable. Now watch." Link then demonstrated as he got right in front of the dummy and unsheathed his sword to attack, cutting it clean in half. "Hyah!"

"Sounds simple enough." Said Frederick. "Honestly I don't think it'll be too hard to pull off."

"Well keep in mind Frederick, you're mostly fighting on a horse." Said Link. "I hardly ever see you dismount. Plus you're covered head to toe with armor, so it's not like the enemy will hurt you all too much."

"You've much yet to learn about proper knighthood Link." Said Frederick. "Anything else?"

"Oh trust me, these hidden skills are just the tip of what I've learned in my life." Said Link. "Ever stopped a goat from charging at you by catching it and throwing it to the side?"

"My gods. That seems highly barbaric." Said Frederick. "What kind of workout regime is that?"

"Oh trust me, that was proven useful!" Link said. "Now to find a goat."

"Wait we're actually gonna do this?!" Frederick's eyes went wide.

"Well you wanted to see how I trained right?" Asked Link. "Trust me, you'll thank me for this later."

"Oh no!" Sighed Frederick.

Link and Frederick have reached support level B.

Currently in the training grounds, Link was busy teaching Frederick his last hidden skill. The great spin. And like always, the great knight proved to be effective.

"And that's the final hidden skill." Said Link. "I have to say Frederick, you learned all of my master's skills fast. I can already see you making use of my teachings."

"Anything to protect lord Chrom and Lady Lissa is appreciated." Smiled Frederick. "After all, a retainer must do all in his power to protect those that are important to him."

"Chrom and Lissa?" Asked Link.

"Definitely." Answered Frederick. "But I learned a lot from you. That goat catching technique was useful against that enemy Paladin."

"I told you it would be." Said Link. "After all, being a goat herder helped build up strength."

"I must say Link, when I first met you, I didn't think much of you and had some suspicions." Said Frederick. "But after all that training you've given me, I feel like I've made a new comrade."

"Thanks Frederick." Said Link. "I'm glad I was sent to you and Chrom, after all, who knows what would've happened to this army without my hidden skills?"

"Well if you keep sharing them with other shepherds, they won't be so secret for long." Said Frederick.

"Haha, my master would've wanted it that way." Said Link. "That way his legacy lives on."

"I must ask though, now that I've learned all from you, care for a spar." Frederick gave link a cocky smile as he got out his training sword.

"Oh trust me, Frederick, I've got a lot more tricks up my sleeve." Link then pointed his sword at Frederick. "So how about it Sir Frederick?"

Frederick then readied his stance "you're on, Hero of Hyrule." Frederick said as the two began to spar.

Link and Frederick have reached support level A.

Alright we close out that one. Frederick is one of my favorite units but unfortunately his low growth rates lead him to being benched in my playthroughs half way through. Sorry Freddy. Next time get better growth rates. That being said, it was kinda hard to write up a support between the two. Frederick being all stern and what not makes it difficult to make a fun support. But I'm the end, I hope I gave the great knight Justice. Next support will be with Sully, one of my favorite waifus (don't judge me, she's got it going on). Anyways, please leave a review. And I'll catch you all... later!
