Morningpaw had a gift. Well, more like a sixth sense actually. In a past life, the ability to just know when a certain dark presence was near had been developed inside the flame pelted she-cat. Even now, in her new reborn life, that ability seemed to still be there. Morningpaw only had to tilt her head a little bit and there--Tigerclaw stood over the group of apprentices with his massive head raised, a sneer twisted on his scared muzzle, showing off rows of sharp fangs, a self-seeking pride oozed off his pelt. A complete fraud.
Morningpaw was the first to notice the dark tabby warrior but soon enough so did the rest of the group of apprentices. It was like disturbing a bush filled with magpies. Apprentices practically flew off in different directions, scared and intimidated by the sudden appearance of the forest mightiest warrior, even Ravenpaw, who was supposed to be from the same Clan as Tigerclaw, trembles in fear-- all except for Morningpaw.
Morningpaw's jade eyes narrowed in hatred. A sentiment that Tigerclaw seemed to share as his own eyes narrowed when looking back at her. "Just what -- is going on here?" Tigerclaw growled, glaring down at his apprentice, who shrank into himself.
"Ravenpaw was telling a great story until you rudely interrupted," Morningpaw sniffed, her small pink nose wrinkling as though Tigerclaw was something putrid and intolerable.
"Who--" Tigerclaw blinked, struck with sudden realization as he looked her up and down, scrutinizing every hair on her flame-colored pelt. "You!"
Perfect. Tigerclaw seemed to remember her.
Morningpaw was elated by the lasting impression she had left on Tigerclaw. Maybe she had a death wish, but Morningpaw couldn't help the mockery in her tone of voice as she gave a one-word response, "Me."
Ravenpaw was petrified at Morningpaw's provocation. His green eyes nervously flashing back and forth between the two rivals. Unaware of what was happening in front of him.
Tigerclaw's lips pulled back in a snarl. Rows of sharp fangs full on display. Morningpaw shivered against her will when looking at them. Those fangs and claws have killed more cats than Morningpaw could keep up with in a past life. Though not this time around.
Finally, a voice of support. "Don't get your tail in a twist, Tigerclaw. The apprentices are just trying to have a good time."
Three heads turned in the direction of the new cat. Leisurely walking towards them was a snowy-white tom with yellow eyes, the scent of the forest permeated his pelt, obviously a ThunderClan warrior.
Tigerclaw calmed down somewhat. But the burning glare aimed on Morningpaw remained. The white warrior seemed to ignore his Clanmate as he curiously glanced down at Morningpaw, "Hello there young one. I don't believe I've ever seen you at a gathering before."
Morningpaw was a bit taken aback by how open and friendly he was being. After what RiverClan had done to ThunderClan, taking over Sunningrocks, she would have expected more hostility, like Tigerclaw was showing. Though there was more reason for Tigerclaw to be upset with Morningpaw in particular.
"It's my first time." Morningpaw said awkwardly.
The white warrior hummed, his yellow eyes glancing over towards Ravenpaw, who was quick to stutter out an introduction, "T-this is Morningpaw. N-newly made apprentice of RiverClan."
"Is that so?" The ThunderClan warrior rumbled, politely staring at Morningpaw as the she-cat apprentice tried not to squirm in place. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Whitestorm, senior warrior of ThunderClan."
Morningpaw's jade eyes rounded into moons. Morningpaw knew exactly who this cat was now. In a past life Whitestorm had been a great supporter of a newly deputized Fireheart, and had later become her first ever deputy after she became leader. Seeing him standing before her, alive and well, was surreal.
"And how is your training coming along?" The glint in Whitestorm's eyes made Morningpaw stiffen. This was a test.
Steeling herself, Morningpaw made sure all her fur remained flat and her tone neutral as she replied, "I'm sure your companion could tell you just how far along I am in my training. Turntail was it?"
Whitestorm's wheezy sounds of amusement was overshadowed by Tigerclaw's frozen look of astoundment. The reaction brought smug satisfaction to Morningpaw.
Tigerclaw jolted, seeming surprised by that, but quickly recovered. If death had a face, then Morningpaw was staring right at it. Morningpaw believed the only thing keeping her alive at this moment was due to the truce.
Though when Whitestorm knocked shoulders with Tigerclaw, the flame-colored she-cat could almost see a flicker of--embarrassment? no. Morningpaw saw it wrong.
Whitestorm humed. "I think it's time we leave these young cats alone."
Tigerclaw huffed. Turning his back on the two apprentices and stalking off with a still amused Whitestorm trailing behind.
Morningpaw and Ravenpaw shared a bewildered look. That must have been the strangest encounter the pair had ever experienced relating to Tigerclaw.
"Morningpaw! Morningpaw!" The flame pelted apprentice turned at the call of her name. Watching as her friend came barreling towards her, the dark brown apprentice skidded to a stop, clearly trying to catch his breath as he meowed, "l-looking fo-r you. Bought to begin with- gathering!" Whitepaw managed to gasp all that out.
"Oh, okay!" Morningpaw meowed, shivering a bit with anticipation. Her jade green eyes turned to Ravenpaw, the ThunderClan apprentice was already trying to hide back into the shadows, but Morningpaw couldn't let that happen.
"Why don't you come with us, Ravenpaw." Morningpaw offered, a bit insistent on keeping the other apprentice around as long as possible.
Ravenpaw was startled by the invitation, as was Whitepaw, but Morningpaw didn't budge till the black ThunderClan apprentice hesitantly nodded and followed the two RiverClan apprentices over towards the front row. Because the truth of the matter was, Morningpaw couldn't see over any of these warriors.
"Well you already know who I am." Morningpaw meowed to Ravenpaw, before waving her tail at Whitepaw. "This is Whitepaw, he's my denmate and one of my best friends."
Whitepaw puffed his chest out with pride at Morningpaw's remarks. Morningpaw's whiskers twitched a bit in amusement. Whitepaw was certainly a good friend. It was nice to see that he thought the same.
"N-nice to meet you. I'm Ravenpaw." Ravenpaw introduced himself, which made Morningpaw happy. Ravenpaw just needed positive reinforcement and a friendly nudge every once and a while.
Whitepaw responded with a dip of his head.
Morningpaw sat in-between the two. Trying to find similarities and dissimilarity to her first gathering as an apprentice to her new one. Well nobody she knew had died yet.
"Isn't it strange that ShadowClan has yet to arrive?" Whitepaw meowed, glancing around the hollow and drawing Morningpaw's attention. The flame-colored apprentice took a look herself, surprised to find that the dark brown apprentice with white paws was indeed correct. ShadowClan has yet to show.
"Why are they so late?" Ravenpaw asked aloud. "D-do you think something must have happened to them?"
Whitepaw shrugged. All three apprentices were baffled by the sudden realization.
"I guess we just have to--"
"Help! Bluestar! Help!"
Heads turned as attention shifted towards the slope leading towards ThunderClan territory. Standing on her hindlegs, Morningpaw's eyes rounded in horror, standing at the top of the gorge was a cat drenched in blood and shocking enough, Morningpaw recognized the cat; it was Graypaw.

Fun Facts:
Turn tail: turn around and run away.
Morningpaw is short. She will always be short. I imagine all her kits being taller than her; except Squirrelflight. She's just as cursed with being short as her mother. All of the other kits got their tall height from Tigerclaw/star.
Whitepaw, Morningpaw and Ravenpaw!!! What will come of this?
Yes. You will be seeing more of Ravenpaw. A lot more. So much more.
Tigerclaw, how I love you!
I wonder why ShadowClan didn't show up?
Oh no, Graypaw!!!
