Welcome back to the Xenoblade Heart to Hearts series! Last time, Melia re-entered the chat and had a quick conversation with Spyro regarding prophecy and how real seeing the future can actually be. So, what will she and Cynder discuss this time? Read on to discover...
Heart to Heart 56: A Day To Remember
Participants: Cynder and Melia
Location: 7F of Nopon Tower
Affinity: Pink
Introduction
Melia: I greatly enjoy the serenity of this place.
Cynder: (Slightly distracted) It's certainly that...
Melia: Are you alright, Cynder?
Cynder: Yeah, just thinking about something. The serenity of the village brought the memory to light.
Melia: What is the memory of? If I may ask.
Pass/Pass
Cynder: What was arguably my most joyful moment.
Melia: Please, do continue. If you are comfortable of course.
Cynder: Well, it was three years ago now. For the past six years, I had been enslaved to a vile dragon known as Malefor.
Melia: I recall you mentioning him before, in passing.
Cynder: Then I've probably mentioned how he did unspeakable things to me. Things I dare not recount in a place as innocent as this. But, after a time, Spyro ended up coming to my rescue, and freed me from his control. That night was the first time I'd slept even close to peacefully. It was... refreshing.
Melia: I can only imagine the relief that washed over you at that moment.
Cynder: It was... certainly something. The only time I felt more serene was Malefor's defeat just recently. But even knowing he was gone was nothing to knowing I was finally my own person.
Melia: Freedom truly is exhilarating.
Cynder: And I've made it my mission to spread that feeling to those in need of it. Starting with this world.
Melia: You have my support, my friend.
Cynder: Thank you, Melia. For everything.

Cynder: So can I. It was... indescribable. To finally be me, rather than someone else's slave. A feeling I want the world to know.
Melia: I sense a vow coming.
Cynder: I made this one three years ago, but in that moment, I vowed to liberate all those in my previous state.
Melia: Then you shall have my support all the way.

Fail/Pass
Cynder: To be honest, I'm not sure how to describe it. I couldn't even figure that in the moment it happened to me.
Melia: What do you mean?
Cynder: The feeling came over me after Spyro released me from Malefor's control. How that ended up happening is a story for another day. I'm not sure how to describe the feeling, but it felt like I was recognizing myself for the first time, if that makes any sense.
Melia: It sounds like it was your first time experiencing true freedom.
Cynder: (Thinks about it) Yeah, that... sounds about right. That has to be what it was.
Melia: I can only imagine how that feels.
Cynder: Believe me, I couldn't even do that in the moment! But... it was refreshing.

Melia: Your past was so tragic that it wouldn't be surprising if that was what you felt.
Cynder: Well, it's the best theory we've had yet. I'm going to go with it.
