...

After much searching he found the card he was looking for. It was crumpled and torn in a few places but still legible to the young vigilante. Chisaki Kai also known as the Pro Hero Overhaul though only a handful of people knew about this. He was an Underground Hero who specialized in undercover work.

Flipping on his voice changer that was built into the phone he called the number. And waited. Two rings went and nerves ate at him.

Before the third had finished a rough voice came over the line, "Who is this? How did you get this number?"

Izuku replied as he returned to his laptop, "Overhaul, this is Watcher. You gave a card to one of mutual contacts to get to me. It said just in case of an emergency."

There was a pause and a thoughtful silence before he replied cautiously, "I did but that was over a year ago. Why are you contact me now, Watcher?"

Izuku pulled up the current location of the fighting. Several heroes were on scene but it was not looking good for them. They needed help and Izuku as much as he wanted to couldn't risk going out there. Not yet at least.

He answered as he saw Tsukauchi arrive on scene, "Musutafu is currently under attack by a S-Rank Villain. All hands are needed to help the city."

Overhaul sucked in a surprised breath before the line went silent. Izuku assumed he was confirming the information that he gave. Normally he would applaud a hero for using their head. This was not one of the times he could do that however. There was very little time for such things.

After a moment the man asked, "Why are you contacting me for this? I have no doubt they will be contacting the Top 10s for their help. I doubt they will need me for this."

Izuku growled, "Listen to me, Overhaul. This is Quake we are talking about. The last time he was out it took nine hero teams to bring him down."

"Don't lecture me about the villain's strength, Watcher," snarled Overhaul, "Especially when I don't see you on any of the cameras."

"And what do you expect me to do?" He snarled in returned, "If you can't remember I am a vigilante not a hero. If I go out there I will be arrested."

"That's never stopped you before."

Izuku gripped the phone tighter in one hand and reached his other to touch the scar where Stain had stabbed him, "I wasn't nearly killed by Stain before. The only reason I survived was because of the help of someone who found me in an alley."

Short of killing Quake. He couldn't say that though. He couldn't let them find out how dangerous his quirk was. If it got out there would be a capture or kill order put out on him. Rare but it does happen.

"Stain," breathed the hero, "How did you survive?"

"My quirk," he said shortly, "Are you or not?"

Worry filled him as he watched the heroes currently on scene struggle. It was not going in their favor. If help didn't arrive soon they would certainly die.

"I'm on my way," he concedes finally, "But you and I are due for a conversation."

Izuku snorted, "Get in line Overhaul. If you want to speak to me you will have to find me first."

Then without another word he hung up. From there it was a nerve wracking several hours. He and Kavar coordinated the hero teams in order to keep casualties to a minimum. Not that it worked. As soon as the word villain was written they all did their own thing. Only the Undergrounders had any semblance of coordination. Honestly Izuku was sure he'd have an easier time getting two years to listen.

Because of this five heroes, all under the age of 25 were killed in action. Two more heroes in the top 50 also were killed. It tore at Izuku that even at his best and in communication with them they still died. Kavar was just as torn up about it. They had sought to protect the heroes but because only a few listened lives were lost.

The loss of heroes didn't account to the nearly 150 civilians that were killed. These were just the ones that the police were able to confirm at the time. Izuku had little doubt there would be more added to the list in the days to come. The damage to his city was immense and rubble was everywhere. It would take weeks if not months to repair all the damage.

When he had seen the body count Izuku threw his notebook across the room in frustration. He should have gone out there. Regardless of the consequences he should have been on scene helping. He was a coward.
