Chapter three:
The three of them turn as a door is heard slamming open then closed with a lock clicking into place.
"Remember to do what he says and he'll go easy on you." Akio whispers to Kaoru before falling silent.
A man comes into view holding some rope looped up in a circle in one hand. When he appears in their view from a tight looking hallway the other two with Kaoru glance away fearfully, while Kaoru takes in the man standing there. He looks to be between twenty five and thirty years old if Kaoru had to estimate, he has brown hair a bit lighter than Haruhi's hair which is cut short, and a pair of golden yellow eyes. His outfit consists of a black t-shirt, black pants, and black runners. He no doubt chose this outfit to help in hiding any blood that might come from this. He glares at Mai and Akio. "Go to the other side of the room." He orders them in a slightly raspy deep voice before narrowing his eyes at Kaoru. "You. Stay where you are."
Kaoru can't help his heart pound in his chest as Mai and Akio fearfully scurry to the other side of the room. He does notice that they are refusing to look in his direction clearly not wanting to watch what is going to happen. He looks away from the man himself not sure that he wants to look at said man when whatever is going to happen happens.
The man approaches him then grabs the teen by the collar of his shirt. He yanks the other up to practically being on his feet. "Arms behind your back you worthless sack of shit." He snarls to Kaoru who remembers what he was told and moves his arms to behind his back. He wraps the rope around the others body pulling it tight enough to make said other hiss at the roughness of the, equally rough feeling, rope pressing and rubbing on his torso. He half drops half throws Kaoru down to the floor where he lands on his arms and back harshly. "You are all worthless!" He shouts down at Kaoru who doesn't dare move not wanting things to get worse.
Kaoru doesn't want to find out what worse than whatever this man has planned could mean.
"No one wants you. You are all lucky that I took pity on you and decided to keep you where you could be useful. As my play things!" The man slams a foot onto Kaorus chest getting him to slightly gasp from the impact. His foot stays there as if to keep the ginger haired boy held in place.
Not like Kaoru was going to move anyways.
"Tell me. Tell me what are you useful for!" The man demands with an angry glare at Kaoru who won't look him in the eye not sure if that would make him angrier. "And say it loud!" He places the tip of his shoe to the underside of Kaoru's chin slightly tilting his head back to expose his throat.
"Nothing!" Kaoru calls out forcing the words out of his throat to just get this over with. "Not useful for anything but for whatever you need me for." He shuts his mouth after speaking those words.
"Good." The man moves his foot away from Kaoru before kicking him hard in the hip.
Kaoru flinches and slightly shifts from the hit.
The man crouches down and as he does so his shirt shifts giving Kaoru a peek at a pistol hidden in his waistband.
Kaoru isn't dumb and knows that the gun is only there if the man needs to make quick work of his prisoners. He wonders if he was tied up in order to keep him from trying to reach for it. Then again he also wonders if it is a decoy if they try to grab it with the real one hidden elsewhere.
The mans shirt covers the weapon once more and he grabs a fistful of Kaoru's hair with no care to even be gentle. "I think those two are a good influence on you. They told you to do whatever I wanted. Didn't they? They know their places. Know that they don't have any other worth. Just like you. Soon enough I'll make sure you know your place." He slams the back of Kaoru's head down onto the ground causing the teen to clench his teeth and shut his eyes at the pain of it. "You're lucky you followed their advice." He lets go of Kaoru's hair before punching said teen on the cheek snapping his head to the side. "Out there you'd be better off killing yourself."
"Let me use the gun and I can do that for you." Kaoru responds before he can stop himself and mentally kicks himself for that. He isn't sure if he was even supposed to speak. His mind just blurting those words out thinking it would be what the man wanted to hear.
The man laughs in a hearty chuckle at this response before reaching pulling out the weapon. He aims it right in Kaoru's face as the teen can only stare at the barrel pointed right at him. "You wanna die so bad? I can do that. Put your worthless existence to an end. You have no value anyways. You just drag everyone out there down with you."
Kaoru can't help his trembling as he swears that he is currently staring death right in the face. He shuts his eyes tightly waiting for the final moments of his life. His mind flashing through his life remembering his brother, his friends, and every adventure they've had together. He remembers his mother working with him on pouring his creativity towards creating great clothes designs. He remembers planning what acts to do for the next day at the host club with his brother. He wishes that he was home right now and with his brother. He wants to wake up and find out that this was all just a nightmare that his mind had created. He swears that he hears something move away from him so he cracks open an eye.
The man has moved the gun away and is staring down at Kaoru with an unimpressed look.
Kaoru opens both eyes realizing that he isn't going to be shot at.
"But I don't think that's what you want." The man points out with a rather calm voice. "You have guts I will say that though. Too bad that you will have to get rid of that if you know what is good for you. I will lay down one rule that must be followed no matter what. You will not know my name and instead if you need to say a name for me then you will refer to me as Master. Got it?"
"Yes Master." Kaoru responds not wanting that gun pointed at his face again.
"Good. Get to your feet slave." The man kicks Kaoru in the side hard as he speaks.
Kaoru wiggles around until he sits up then shifts his legs managing to get to his feet. He notices the man put the gun away this time in a place where Kaoru could easily grab it if his hands were free. He can't help wondering if this is some kind of test for him.
The man works on the rope he had tied on Kaoru only to yank it to make sure to give the teen a little bit of rope burn. He finally pulls the rope off tucking it back into one hand.
Kaoru doesn't dare move as he isn't even sure if that gun is real or not. He could grab it and discover it is fake then probably be in some big trouble. He's only gotten a taste of what this man has to offer to him while he is here.
"I have a few things to do. I will see you soon." The man turns away and leaves slamming and locking the door behind himself.
Kaoru finally lets himself relax and try to calm his racing heart after what had just happened. He turns as Akio and Mai hurry over to him. "I'm okay." He tells them to try to assure them. "Just a little sore."
"He went easy on you." Mai mentions though she seems to be happy that this had happened the way it did.
"Can I ask you something? Is that gun even real?" Kaoru inquires to which the two shake their heads.
"No." Mai is the one to speak a verbal answer to their newest member here. "He never lets the real gun be seen by us. Though I have heard him shoot a real one before. I grabbed it once when I was new here. And I tried to shoot him. It's a harmless ball shooting gun he made to look real. Any little balls shot don't do any sort of damage just bouncing off. I got this because of what I had done or tried to do." She turns around lifting her shirt to reveal a horrific looking scar slashed across her back.
Kaoru swallows harshly suddenly glad that he didn't go for the gun as he takes in that scar.
Mai lowers her shirt back down and turns to Kaoru. "He'll be back with food for us likely. Especially since we were all very good in following his orders. If we don't behave he's even willing to deprive us of food and water."
Kaoru nods softly and can realize that his actions really affect more than just him. He could have taken away the other twos food and water if he didn't behave the way he was expected to behave. "I'll do my best to be the way he wants so I don't end up responsible for you two not getting food and water."
"We wouldn't have blamed you if you didn't take our advice. Some need to learn the consequences of their actions the hard way. Though I will admit that I am thankful that you took our advice." Akio admits slightly shifting his feet.
Kaoru is glad that he has the two here as he truly doesn't feel alone here especially with how nice the two are being to him. He has some friends while he is trapped here and that is soothing to him.
