We're all right on with the second chapter. Please keep in mind that this could be essentially a quick filler so not a lot of scenes will be further explored(plus I'd actually wanted to release this chapter the day that CK Season 5 was out but so much has actually consumed my time so sorry for that long wait. Anyways, we're now going to be seeing Robby's perspective, along with a certain strong-minded character. Enjoy
P.S: I didn't explicitly put this out when i was doing the previous chapter but Seline is actually going to be working as a secretary in Larusso Auto's
Chapter 2
Hungry and tired.
That was exactly the two things that Robby had been fighting to endure within the few weeks of his disappearance. From the moment that he kicked Diaz into a balcony.
From there on, he couldn't block the image of Miguel's seemingly lifeless body lying on the stairwell. Nor Sam's voice when she'd witnessed what happened.
"Robby, what did you do?!" the words that poured out of her mouth deeply pained him. The way that it threw at him, it actually made him feel worse than what he could ever imagine. He could tell in that moment, that her perspective of him had now changed.
He was no longer a former juvie delinquent; he was indeed a murderer (that is if Diaz had died)
During the first week of his "adventure", Robby had come across a group of individuals, probably around a year or two older than him. They've look quite enough to be hoodlums. At their first initial meeting, they were more than happy to knock him down and attempt to mug. Robby had wanted to fight back in that instant, but the memory of the recent week still taunted him.
As a last resort, Robby pleaded with the hoodlums, most particularly their ringleader, Dante into helping them in their biddings by boasting that he could pull off a robbery at the nearby convenience store; that wasn't a complete outright lie, he had succeeded in few juvenile antics, along with scamming during his times hanging with Trey and Cruz.
Luckily, his plan pulled off and he and the rest of the young homeless pack manage to get all they could without attracting any attention that could nab the police on them. It was then officially that he had earned their respect. Dante was the first to extend and even offered Robby a place in their place.
Robby had declined the offer; as tempting as it had sound, staying around wasn't at his option. He wanted to tell them about his latest predicament but he pushed that decision off his mind. The truth was, as much as he hate to admit it, they were all just like him. He didn't had to look at each of them for a second and knew that in some form, they've dealt with a tough background similar to him, in terms to family and living situations. Telling the pack of everything that had occurred would only get them inadvertently involved and that wouldn't be right. Right at that, after an amicable split from them, he was once again on his own path.
He knew one thing was certain, he couldn't stay in the Valley or anywhere around California. He knew someone who lived far out of state that he could crash with for a while until the police eventually lose interest.
But there was one place he had to go to just before he could make his final departure out of the Valley. Just one last time.
Miguel still struggled to grasp at what had just happened a couple of minutes ago
First of all most, yes, he had indeed finally woke up, after more than a two week coma, despite the doctor and nurses doubts but it wasn't an easy trip. Just minutes before that time, he was already succumbing to cardiac arrest. And like that, he sparked up awoke, quick rush of adrenaline rushing through his body
Well, half of it, really.
At first during the first few minutes, he couldn't really fathom as to why he couldn't curl up his toes, even as to stretch his legs. Not until he overheard the doctor explaining to his clearly distraught mom and yaya that it is unlikely that he'll ever walk again.
Then, of all the nerve, Sensei Lawrence, his sensei showed up at the hospital. Miguel noticed that he look completely worn out, or as he would say, busted . His blond hair was much greaser than over. Miguel could almost smell a strong stench of beer coming from him. He knew Sensei Lawrence drank and he'd witness a few drunk episodes during times in the CK dojo but this was a complete new low.
Miguel almost felt sorry for him in that instant. But then after spilling the truth about his current predicament, Sensei Lawrence didn't budge a single word.
At that moment, it felt to Miguel as if Sensei Lawrence had now officially deserted him. After all of their time training and trying to embody his methods, Sensei Lawrence was not going to offer any solution or hand?!
Miguel was about to lose it. So he ordered his now former sensei to get out of his room and at this point, the room was silent but it didn't silence the tunnel of confusion bypassing through his head.
Why me? Why?
Meanwhile, at Larusso's Auto, everything was very loaded up. That wasn't unusual, as a busy line was mostly the daily bread for the business. At least that what Seline had heard from Mr. Larusso when she had arrived for her first day on the job.
Not that she wasn't complaining or anything. She did like working at her position as a secretary. Within the first two days, she'll manage around very well and quickly with managing appointments, which were quite less to be completely honest. However, she did wished that the atmosphere of the dealership, in all of it's entirety, could have at least have positive energy.
In the days that she had spent there, she could notice that there was a lot of tension hanging in the air. Mr. Larusso and his wife were always very agitated and somewhat irritated. Each time that she passes by his office to head to the ladie's room, she could hear him pacing around the room or get into heated arguments on the phone; on occasion, Seline had heard him yell out the word "Fcking Asshole" and before she even know it, he stormed out of his office and went outside.
Seline had already suspected that the dealership hadn't been picking up very well but she didn't know that it'd be much more complicated. She'd tried to ask Mr. Larusso, Amanda, and that guy Louie on what the big matter was but they said that it was completely nothing, that it didn't involved her and quickly reassured her that their business will be resolved hopefully but Seline could tell by the tone of their voice that they too weren't that sure either.
The next day after that, Mr. Larusso wasn't in that day. Figuring that he'd be out all day, Seline decided to take that opportunity to head out for an hour and give a little visit to someone she hadn't seen in a long time.
Not that this was anyone's business or so.
That particular day, a couple of hours later, she had just arrived home in time as usual and was instantly greeted by her two pet chihuahuas.
"How have my cuties behaved?" she said in a sweet contagious baby as she petted and kiss each of them on the nose. Right after that, along with a quick shower, Seline sat down on her living room couch with a small bowl of Special K cereal in hand, and turned on the TV. The news broadcast was the first that came up but then it was the headline pop up that shocked her so much that she almost choked on her food.
"Wanted Fugitive Involved in Attack of student in High School Brawl finally apprehend"
Very clear on the screen, she could see police officers roughly escorting a young man out of the cruiser. His hair look completely different; probably self-cutted but he still possess the same defined facial features as always.
Seline abruptly shut the TV show. She went towards her kitchen and dumped the remaining cereal on the trash before retreating upstairs to her room. Seline propped on the bed, hoping to at least get some sleep in.
But the image still creep in.
Robby groaned irritably as the morning buzz alarm thundered in his cell room at the Sylmar Juvenile Corrections(SJDC). Less than 24 hours had passed and throughout it all, it had been the worst hell of his life. He had went to visit his mother at the rehab she was staying, quite later on, his once former mentor, Daniel had suddenly came into the view and pleaded with him to turn himself him and all in a flash, the police began to swarm around him and roughly dragged him away.
Robby had never felt this much betrayed.
In less than 30 minutes after the fact, he was brought into custody. Robby was internally panicked during the walk towards the station, as it was swarned with news reporters and few protestors. One particular person spat on him and yell off something vulgar in Spanish that Robby(in his limited knowledge of Spanish) knew it wasn't a friendly term.
To cut it quite short, after being processed, booked, assigned a uniform and lead to his cell that very day, Robby knew that this was a true reality he was facing. He was now a prisoner. That term normally wouldn't bother him. After all, he had felt very imprisoned for some majority of his life but this was a different sense of imprisonment. He was never going to escape if he felt the need.
Not for a while.
"Keene, you got a visitor" one of the guards, a buffed middle-aged man barked a couple of hours later during the after
Robby perked up his head as his name was called. He was curious to know who was visiting. He doubt that it was his dad of all people. Maybe perhaps it was Daniel, he hoped, despite the anger that still fumed within him on his former mentor.
Once carefully escorted out of his cell, Robby followed the guards to the visitor rooms and led into a table. To his confusion, there was no one sitted there. Robby turned to the guards with a questioning look.
"Your visitor will be right in" the buffed guard stated before whispering something into Robby's ear. Robby's head perked up in surprised but he nodded. The guard then went and signal the security patrol officer. "Let her in."
The patrol officer did as told and open the back side door that was reserved for the visitors. At less then a second, the sound of shoe clicking surrounded the room, and got more closer and closer to Robby's direction.
As he turn his head towards the figure that was approaching, Robby didn't have time to react as he was immediately brought into a warm embrace by someone who he hadn't seen in such a while or even expected to.
"Seline" Robby murmered a bit loud
"Thank God you're okay" Seline said, doing her best to keep her emotions in composure.
"NO CONTACT" the buffed guard barked, startling the two of them.
"It's fine, sir" Seline responded calmly as she slowly released Robby from her embrace and sat down. "...He's my cousin"
Well, there you have it. Comment down below on your thoughts regarding this chapter and what you like to see on the next chapter. To that note, I like to add on that starting into the next chapter or so, I will be establishing a flashback on Seline's life so that there's plently of space to comprehend bits and pieces of her character. Stay tuned and until next time :)
