Darkness was what I was met with as I regained consciousness. My eyes were closed with me refusing to open them, wanting to curl in on myself and remain there. I felt the cold touch of the ground beneath me, which served to drag down my mood even more.

As I felt myself starting to slip back into unconciousness, I heard a sound that made my hackles rise and made my thoughts freeze in place.

The sounds of a bustling city were faintly echoing around me.

I immediately threw my eyes open and jumped to my feet while taking in my surroundings, blinking away my previous tiredness.

I was at the rear of a dismal alley, with a concrete wall barring one exit and the neighboring buildings' overhang keeping light from entering the alley properly. The entrance was at the opposite end of the lane, and the light emanating from it prevented me from getting a decent look at what was outside the alley.

The thump of my heart being pumed with adrenaline filled my veins and clogged my ears as my face began to become slightly flush from the running. I quickly made my way through the alley and soon made my way through the alley entranceway and made my way onto the street.

A bustling city with vehicles and people everywhere going about their daily lives was all around me. People were behaving carefreely, with their main concern appearing to be what they would eat for dinner. There was no sign of panic or fear due to one of the major kingdoms or Huntsmen academies falling.

I took a shuddering breath as my legs began to weaken, which caused me to stumble in place as I tried to compose myself. I then began to take in my surroundings once more and spotted some signs in what seemed to be... …Mistrali?

'Shit, I don't know any Mistrali. This is going to be a fucking pain trying to navigate myself around this city.'

I quickly slipped my hand into my pocket and fished around for my scroll, hoping it would be there. However, my fears were quickly soothed as I felt the cool material of the scroll in my hand after a little bit of digging. I then brought my scroll up and opened it up and began navigating to the GPS app.

I was met with my scroll showing I was still in the city of Vale when I was searching for Roman, despite my surroundings telling me otherwise.

'Oh, you have gotta be kidding me. How does this even happen?'

My newfound annoyance was due to me realizing that, despite me being in the middle of a prospering city, I had no access to the CCTS.

'It would make sense if I was still in Vale, but that clearly is not the case. Unless I wake up years into the future and they've rebuilt and modernized the city. Yeah, as if I'd believe that. I'd sooner believe that people are going to be walking around with toasters for hands than any kind of time travel mumbo jumbo.'

My stomach began to grumble loudly before I could finish my rant, which caused a few people passing by on the street to give me the side eye. I glared at those who I observed were visibly side-eyeing me.

As a man in a business suit who was giving me a look of disdain began to pass by me, I quickly shot out my hand and dexterously grabbed his wallet before depositing it in my pocket. I gave a quick glance at the man who continued to walk to his destination unabated. I gave myself a cruel grin before walking in the opposite direction while looking through my spoils.

I opened up the bifold wallet and was met with the face of the man I had just stolen the wallet from in the form of his ID. I ignored his ID and opened up the lien pocket. However, instead of a bundle of lien I was met with paper notes.

With confusion swirling in my head, I grabbed the notes and began looking through them. I was met with the faces of random Mistralian men and women that I assumed were important due to their being on a money note.

I then stopped in my tracks as I began staring hard at the corner of the note that designated its amount.

'How much fucking money was that guy carelessly carrying around?! He was carrying around tens of thousands in his fucking wallet!'

I hurriedly looked over my shoulder to see whether the man was turning around. The area was safe since there was no indication that a man was frantically searching for his lifesavings.

I quickly stuffed the money notes back into the wallet and quickly stashed it back into my pocket and began setting out to find the nearest place to get something to eat.

As I began walking down the street, I couldn't help but observe some of the looks sent my way that ranged from wariness to outright awe. I couldn't help but feel a prickling sensation on the back of my neck due to all of the attention and then silently cursed in my mind at letting my guard down.

I smoothly glided into an alley that I was about to pass by and walked until I was about to pass a giant garbage can that was setup near a door that resided in the alley and gave a quick scan for any sort of camera.

After looking around the alley and deeming that the path was clear, I swiftly began using my semblance and changing my appearance into that of Little Red when I first saw her with the grey sweater covering my arms and chest sitting under a red dress and a black corset. The only change I made was the removal of the signature red cape.

I brought out my scroll and went to the camera app to appraise my appearance and was equal parts happy at my success and disgusted at the face I was wearing.

'If it weren't for this little paragon of righteousness and justice, me and Roman would've been together, hiding out somewhere in Mistral away from all this mess. Also, if my Dum Dum didn't get greedy, we wouldn't have to deal with this little brat in the first place.'

A hateful grimace stretched across my 'face' that looked fundamentally wrong, due to my current face looking like it was made to smile and spread joy to others for its entire existence.

I quickly put up my scroll and swiftly exited the alley, continuing on the path I was set on before I went into the alley.

'I'm going to feel sick to my stomach if I have to keep gazing at this face.' Before I look at myself in the mirror, I'd better remember to remove it before I shatter the mirror.

As I continued my walk down the street, I kept my eyes open for a place to get something to eat due to the emptiness in my stomach making itself known. I continued my walk down the sidewalk and spotted a blackboard with a coffee mug drawn on it with what seemed to be prices listed next to items I was unable to read.

Hoping for the best I walked over and opened the door and swiftly made my way inside. Open entering I was greetetd with the sight of a rather homely looking coffee shop that had a few customers littering the tables and booths inside the store.

I did a once over and noticed that everyone was too caught up in either their food or weird devices in their hands or nose deep in a device sitting on their table.

'Are these some kind of ancient looking scrolls?' I couldn't help but wonder as I made my way to a booth in the corner of the restaurant that gave me a view of the rest of the establishment while being tucked away just enough for me to hide my presence or disappear if I needed to.

As I began sitting down, I heard a set of footsteps approaching my table and looked at what seemed to be a waitress with a blue apron walking towards me. I swept my eyes over her quickly, observing her and taking note of her hair.

Her hair is a light purple that seems almost grey. Her hair was styled in two long braids that she curled up and pinned to the rest of her hair, creating two huge rings. She has bangs that reach nearly to her eyes and cover her brows, as well as two medium-length tufts of hair that drop down from the centre of her head, framing her face and finishing just below her softly pink colored lips.

The waitress had striking blue colored eyes with what seemed to be a fit build which was hard to determine if it was accurate due to the apron covering up most of her body but with the curves in her hips still showing through the apron.

She gave me a nod of acknowledgement with a bored expression on her face to which I returned with a curt nod, and she pulled out a menu from a pocket in her apron and placed it on the table in front of me before she put her hands into a pocket at her side and took out a notepad and pen.

"Nomitai to omotte iru koto wa arimasu ka? Sōdenai baai wa, chūmon surunoni sukoshi jikan ga kakarimasu."

I couldn't help but blink at her words since they sounded just like Mistrali. I wanted to kick myself since I could have avoided this issue totally if I had paid better attention in class.

'Then again, I was more interested in extracarricular activities than language, and I believe it's served me well so far, but it's really aggravating knowing it would've come in useful if I'd taken the class. Oh well, no use being stuck in the past.'

I rapidly scanned through the menu, deciding that I should respond to what I assumed was her asking for a drink since this is how the normal song and dance goes, and luckily I recognized the drink menu thanks to a picture of some coffee following a list of characters.

I made a random choice of a drink, and she quickly scribbled down my order before giving me a once-over and quickly turning with what seemed to be too fluid and calculating accuracy as she started to walk away. As soon as I saw her moving with such grace that I started to pay closer attention to her since she stood apart from the other people I've met thus far since awakening.

As I was observing her, my eyes couldn't help but drift down to her backside, and I gave a quiet hum of approval as I watched her walk away with a sway in her hips.

'Quiet, reserved, and seeming to be harboring lethal abilities below it all? She is a lady after my heart, it seems. I'm curious if she wouldn't mind getting a little physical.' My tongue soon flicked across my lips at the thought, with a predatory smirk soon settling on my disguised face.

I quickly calmed my expression and I soon dug into my pocket while making sure my disguise did something similar and fished out my scroll while putting an illusion over it, disguising it as a pocket sized book.

I then opened my scroll while making sure my disguise looked as if I was reading the book in my hands. In actuality, I was swiping through my scroll and taking a note of my scroll's battery, which was sitting at 50%.

It 'could be better, but I can work with this.' After giving my thoughts on the situation I was in with my scroll, I then began swiping through my scroll until I found the text to speech app that doubled as a translator for me.

I configured it until I made it so it would translate Common to Mistrali. As I did, I turned on the camera function and faced it towards the menu in front of me and began looking through the menu as it was being translated in front of me.

After deciding what I wanted from the menu, I put my scroll back into my pocket and synced it up with my illusion of having a book, and began patiently waiting for my waitress to return.

Thankfully, I didn't have to wait long, as I soon saw her begin to approach me with a drink in her hands. I quickly met my gaze with hers as she was approaching, and upon my locking eyes with her, she gave me a smirk that looked like it'd promise trouble and mischief. I couldn't help but let loose a smirk of my own in response.

She soon made it to my table and placed the drink in front of me, and I couldn't tell what it was between coffee, hot chocolate, or tea, but quickly resigned myself to hoping to enjoy whatever it was. I mutedly shook my head at my drink before opening up the menu and pointing to what I wanted.

The waitress didn't try to share any words with me and efficiently wrote down on her notepad, taking note of the items I pointed out on the menu. After collecting my entire order, she just gave me another smirk and a lazy nod and once again set off out of my sight with my order.

As I watched her leave, my gaze lingered on her parting form for a moment before I set my gaze towards the window and noted the low evening light beginning to filter in through the cafe windows.

'Is it really this late already? The fact that I didn't notice that sooner is rather telling of my lack of focus since waking up.'

I soon began thinking about what I was going to do next, since I hadn't given myself time to do that since waking up.

'Considering everything, I don't think I'm somewhere on Remanent, despite the ludicracy of that statement, but the evidence is in front of me. Considering the fact that my scroll is unable to connect to the CCTS, despite seeing people working on scroll-like objects and clearly using everything just fine.

Another point to my theory is that my GPS location is static and hasn't moved from when I was in Vale. Even though I moved from the alley I woke up in, my position is still stuck in that area. The proof I need would be to have three moons patrolling the night sky instead of the broken one I'm used to.

Ignoring that problem for now, I'm going to need to find some way to live wherever I'm at. While it won't be too hard to make a living off of stealing, especially due to my semblance, finding a place to stay aside from a rundown building is going to be a pain.

Trying to find a criminal element to sell off stolen goods to is also going to be a pain considering the fact that I don't speak the FUCKING language here.' After having that idea, I pushed myself to relax and untighten my fist before reaching for the cup in front of me, as my hand became very tense and I felt the bones in my hand start to groan in protest at the pressure.

I brought the cup up to my lips and I gave the liquid a quick glance and a careful sniff and was able to determine the drink was some kind of tea due to the usual overly sweet or bitter smell of coffee wasn't present. Instead, I was met with an aromatic fragrance.

I gave a slight grimace at picking tea instead of coffee. However, I pressed on and gave an experimental sip of my drink and found the drink to be surprisingly sweet. As I was enjoying my tea with a flavor I couldn't quite pin down, I soon felt something slip into my mouth.

My eyes flew open in panic, and I slammed my cup down on the table and reached into my mouth to pick out whatever it was that had slipped into my drink and began to examine it. It was a 'Dead flower?.'

I couldn't shake the confusion from my face, and a soft giggling soon sounded from my side.

I jumped up in my seat and swiftly turned towards the noise and was met with my waitress, who was staring at me with an amused grin that was showcasing her teeth, which revealed to me her especially sharp and profound canines.

I felt my cheeks beneath my disguise begin to burn in embarrassment. I directed a glare towards my waitress, which must've come off as more of a pout if the renewed chuckling was anything to go by, which served to get a spike of irritation out of me.

She then placed two plates filled with food down in front of me, with one of them holding a stack of pancakes covered in strawberries and syrup, and the other plate containing a chocolate tiramisu.

Instead of giving some kind of thanks to my waitress, I leveled a glare at her and picked up a fork and knife she placed next to my plate, and I began to dig into my food. I was left to my meal as my waitress let out a soft giggle as she began departing.

I ravenously dug into my food as my hunger from earlier was starting to come back with a vengeance with my plate of food in front of me. With Atlas's military-like efficiency, I began digging into my meal, taking bites out of my pancakes while sneaking in slices of my tiramisu.

After a few minutes of wolfing down my food, I was able to finish and let out a quiet and satisfied burp as I began wiping the corners of my mouth with a napkin.

'Nothing beats chocolate and strawberry together." All I needed was something vanilla flavored and this meal would've been a full course.'

Letting out a contented sigh, I began to nurse my drink and take small sips from my cup.

I continued to take contented sips from my drink and began blankly staring out of the window at the cafe as the last of the evening light began to disappear, with the dark of night beginning to cover the city and the cafe.

After a few more minutes of taking a moment to relax and watch the sun's rays disappear, I ended up finishing my drink and my waitress began walking up to my table not soon after.

The waitress's mouth began opening to talk, and as she was going to speak, the front door to the cafe burst open with the door slamming into the wall.

A man suddenly burst through the door, and he was wearing a tank top with baggy pants. However, the interesting thing was that his arms, up to his shoulder, were a series of interlocking chains, while his hands were flesh and bone.

The man seemed to be in a state where he was under the influence of something since his eyes were narrowed to pinpricks with the visible muscles on him pulsing with energy.

He had unkempt and wild black hair, with an unevenly shaved face that was riddled with tufts of hair and stable littered in an erratic manner on his face.

He began yelling out in the language that I still had no grasp on, and the few remaining people in the cafe began to cower in their seats. My waitress suddenly slid into the booth with me and pushed me into the wall, and she began staring at the intruder with an intensity that I hadn't seen from her before.

Turning back to the intruder, he suddenly launched his arm forward and the chains extended 10 feet forward and his hand slammed into one of the tables in the cafe, completely shattering it upon contact.

'Ok, seriously, being in another world is one thing, but half human, half bikechain hybrids is a little much, dontcha think?'

The intruder soon approached the cashier up front and began yelling at them while forcing a sack onto the table while gesturing to it.

Having seen and done this before, it's rather obvious what this person was here for.

'It'd probably be best for me to stay out of this and then tail this guy afterwards. Who knows, he might lead me to the criminal underground and when I get a better grasp on the language here, maybe I can start making moves. At the very least, he should lead me somewhere where I can sleep. Let's just hope it'd only be him and a significant other I'd have to forcefully vacate from my soon to be new home in that case.

Despite the scenario at hand, my waitress seemed to be just as calm as I was, and she seemed to notice just as I had since she was giving me a look out of the corner of her eye. I only raised an eyebrow in response and made a gesture with my head towards the intruder.

She gave a shrug of her shoulders in response, only to look thoughtful for a moment before letting out a huff and gaining a resolute look on her face. She began inching towards the end of the booth and looked ready to leave it. She looked back and raised an eyebrow towards me.

'Does she want me to take out the robber with her? While it's not what I was originally planning on doing, it could do well to have this place in my debt. That does mean I'm going to have to find someplace to sleep later tonight. Actually, I could just find a hotel, but it'd be a bitch to get into one legally, along with the high chance of getting caught if I broke into one. I'll just have to figure something out later.'

My waitress slinked out of the booth, and I began following closely behind her, and we were somehow able to sneak up behind the intruder without him noticing us. As we crept through the cafe, I noticed the few other customers still in the cafe were staring at us with awe covering their faces.

I couldn't help but squirm at their gazes with them looking at me in such a positive light. I began focusing on the intruder in front of me to try and shake off the feeling I was being assaulted with.

I gave my waitress, who was on my left, a subtle nod of my head and she jumped into action. She jumped towards the intruder and did an aerial roundhouse kick targeted at the intruder's head. I swiftly followed up with a flying knee to the underside of the intruder's jaw as he was launched towards me.

He stumbled backwards in a daze and was met with my waitress sweeping his legs out from underneath him and following up with a Webster Axe Kick aimed at his head.

The intruder was able to block in time and grabbed onto the waitress's foot and launched her to the side, using his chains to throw her farther away. I heard a crash to my side from where the waitress landed, and I rushed towards the intruder who was making his way to a knee and launched a kick at his head.

The intruder glared at me and sent me a smirk, looking to block my leg with the portion of his arms that were made out of chains, but he pulled back at the last second, I transitioned into an axe kick that connected with the back of his head.

I quickly skated backwards as the man let out a growl and swung his arms in an arc in front of him hoping to ensnare me in his arms.

He had enough range from his arms that they circled around my back looking to encircle me, but I quickly did a 360 backflip and rushed a kick into the man's face as his arms wrapped around himself and hit him in the chest.

A burst of noise sounded from where the waitress got thrown earlier and she quickly rushed towards the man and grabbed a hold of his arms that were still wrapped around him and began to wrap them together further while intertwining them in a random pattern.

Upon noticing what she was doing, the man began to yell out while struggling, but was swiftly met with my boot to his gut, which caused the air to leave his body. He let out a mighty gasp in response that left his mouth, which was soon silenced as the waitress began wrapping the chains around the man's mouth and around his head.

Despite the situation he's in, the man still seemed to have some fight left in him, so I gave the man two swift kicks to the face and the man slumped into the waitress behind him.

The waitress gave a shout of annoyance before leveling a glare at me. In response, I gave her an innocent smile that only seemed to annoy her further.

The waitress soon dumped the man off to the side and sat up while brushing down her apron and then addressed the crowd. I just stood where I was awkwardly as they addressed the crowd, and not soon after, everyone began to walk out of the cafe.

The cafe soon emptied and the waitress turned her head to me with an expectant look and a raised eyebrow, clearly wondering what I was still doing here.

'So I go through the trouble of helping you and I don't even get a reward? Yeah, let's see about that.'

With vindication radiating below my disguise, I gave the waitress a smile with my disguise and covertly made a decoy of myself that began walking towards the door while I camouflaged myself. I watched as the waitress followed my decoy as she began walking away, and as my decoy walked around the corner, I let it dispel.

The waitress then began talking to the cashier, who seemed to be in shock from what had transpired earlier. After a few moments of talking, the waitress was somehow able to convince the cashier to leave as she went to the back of the shop and left with a purse in her hands.

'That reminds me, where are the chefs? These two can't be the only two working even though it's this late at night. Don't tell me that they ran out the back when they realized what happened.' I had to hold back a sigh of disappointment at the cowardice, especially when the waitress was willing to take down the criminal. 'To be fair, this waitress seems remarkably well trained in combat even though she's making ends meet in a diner. Which is another reason why I need to stay because I need to keep observing this enigma that's been dropped in front of me.'

A few moments after the cashier gathered her things and exited from view of the diner, the waitress began dragging them to the back. I was able to expertly follow them and squeeze my way in through the door while she was dragging him inside without alerting the waitress that I was still there.

After huffing from the effort the waitress sat down on her behind for a moment while blankly eyeing the man prone on the ground. She continued to stare blankly until her hackles rised and her entire demanor changed.

Her body became rigid with tension and she began crawling on her hands and knees towards the man until she was straddling him. Not soon after, she gave a lick to her lips and lowered her face towards the man.

Slowly, her head lowered more and more until she reached his neck. Suddenly, with the swiftness of a starving beast, her mouth suddenly opened and clamped around the man's neck.

I couldn't help but freeze at the scene in shock as the waitress began depleting the man of his blood as she began audibly gulping the man's blood down. The waitress seemed to be in a daze as she was making contented noises to herself as I heard excited squeals being muffled from the neck residing in between her teeth.

Making slow and calculated moves, I began moving towards the door and slowly cracked the door open and began moving through it all while the waitress was still in her own world.

As I was halfway through, the waitress's head suddenly snapped up from the man and her nose began violently twitching. She let in a huge sigh of air, and her head suddenly whipped towards me in the doorway.

I stopped in my tracks as the waitress's gaze met mine, and all I could see in the girl's previously bored or amused eyes was now a mix of fear and intoxication.

I quickly dashed through the door and began running towards the exit of the diner.

The door I just went through shattered a few moments later, with the waitress barreling towards me. The waitress then bent into a crouch far faster than any human should and pounced towards me.

I quickly dropped to the floor in a violent tumble, and the waitress crashed through one of the windows and ended up on the street with broken glass surrounding her while she violently sniffed the air while erratically looking around where she landed.

As the waitress was trying to hunt me down, I couldn't help but notice the glare of the moon shining brightly behind her.

A full WHOLE moon was at the waitress back framing her in a dangerous light as she moved like a monster of the night.

As I stared at the waitress with the moon behind her, I couldn't help but have a feeling of dread and loss creep up my spine, which involuntarily caused me to shiver.

I soon heard a breath of elation and happiness, and when I focused on the waitress, her eyes were locked with mine despite my semblance still being in place. A grin spread across the woman's face with her fangs glinting dangerously in the moonlight, crimson smeared on her previously perfect teeth and skin, showcasing a macabre beauty that the waitress seemed to be basking in.

A/N: So after months of writer's block, this is the first story I touched, and I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter. I hope to continue this story and I hope everyone will enjoy this despite the wait. I'm not going to lie, I was probably going to quietly abandon this story since both my love for My Hero and Rwby have been waning as of late, but something was able to give me an idea for this story.

Some knowledgeable viewers can probably spot what it is, but if you didn't, let's just say that this is going to be a three way crossover. If you weren't able to figure it out, then don't worry. People either in the comments will point it out to you or you will find out as I reveal more details in the story, which will hopefully not be half a year this time.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter, and I hope you will wait for the next chapter. I hope you all have a good rest of your day and enjoy yourselves.
