Shenzi only whispered, "Damn you to Tartarus.", before she gave out her very last breath, falling to the ground with her eyes faded of life.
Facilier smirked, "Been there once, thanks to my friends on the other side, ain't planning to go back again, permanently.", before hearing a roar of fury and anger, and before Facilier knew it, he was impaled to the wall of the cliff behind him, with sharp spikes in his body, realizing that it was poisoning him as he can feel it rushing through him, and he fought before he became frozen, only his eyes moving, shrinking back in fear as he saw a large, strange, bird-like dragon glaring at him, with a shiny orange-red pelt with dark brown markings, and large dark blue eyes.
How did the United Talons find out?! Facilier thought to himself in horror and fear, unknowing that Mulan's necklace before it was broken off by the shadow minion's claws just before the hole, it had contacted Jason barely, way up north in Congo.
It was only minutes before when everything seemed calm to Jason. He had enough of what sleep he could get before hearing Koda's cries through the ruins. He woke up and found Haku obviously going to check on the child and his mother while Jason yawned and hoped that he could get some sleep again.
He went to rest his head back on his bag, acting as a pillow, closing his eyes when he felt his cricket necklace vibrate and beep before suddenly stopping. He inhaled sharply, realizing that Mulan is in danger, and he shot up to his feet, running to Adam and Pippa's sleeping spot.
"Adam, Adam! Where's the damn mirror?!", Jason cried out, and Adam groaned in his sleep, "Can this wait?", and Jason snarled, "Mulan's in danger! Turn on the mirror and ask it to find her!".
"How can you be so-", Adam rubbed his eyes as Jason shook him, "Just do it, damn it, or I'll start breaking limbs!".
Pippa spoke, "You better do it, Adam.", waking up to see Jason looking so scared, angry, and afraid, and it's not a combination that she didn't want to see again.
Adam nodded, seeing the familiar emotion of love and angst in his comrade's eyes, and grabbed the mirror, barely hearing other voices of the team as they heard Jason.
"Mirror, please find General Fa Mulan of Narnia.", Adam asked politely yet quickly, knowing that specifics tend to be helpful for searching, and the mirror turned on like usual before buzzing red, all of a sudden...
"What does that fucking mean?!", Jason cried out, and Adam gulped, recognizing it too well when he tried to look for the chance of other servants of his castle surviving, but the sound of buzzing red means that they're neither dead or captured behind dangerous dark magic.
Adam exhaled, "It can't find her. She's either captured behind dark magic or...dead.", looking up in dread to see Jason's face, and Jason snarled, his voice breaking, "It has to be wrong! Ask it to find out what happened to her!".
"I don't know if it-", Adam started to speak. "IT BETTER DO IT RIGHT NOW!", Jason roared as he nodded and repeated what Jason asked. There wasn't much, but it did give what looked to be somewhere in Pride Valley... as well as the ominous shadow of a man that Jason only recently recognized.
"He's here too...?", Jason muttered. The Princess and the Frog was a recent film for the Talons; hell, only he and Emma were the ones who actually saw it.
Jason knew it was a video replay of sorts, but his heart cheered at seeing Mulan fight, winning so much, and became confused to see the cliffs as part of an enemy woman's plan, and his heart broke at seeing Mulan witnessing her troops get captured, and then the unspeakable happened, seeing Facilier command that shadow minion.
He wanted to reach and grab Mulan through the mirror, hearing her screams as she tried to call for help, using that code word, but it was too late...Jason looked at Emma, "Portal, now!", hearing Natasha's voice in his head, 'Don't focus on the anger alone. Focus on Mulan, focus on the love for her, focus on the desire to save her.'
Emma swiftly took a look at the mirror and copied the image in her mind as she focused momentarily to create a portal, and Jason ran through the portal, followed by Logan who spoke softly, "Close it after me. Keep watching the mirror.".
Jason saw memories of Mulan in his head, his heart bursting so much, his body burning, and he followed Natasha's advice, becoming bigger and stronger, changing shape into something else, barely realizing that he finally shifted into a dragon at last, only having tunnel vision on torturing Facilier for what he has done, seeing him and releasing his tail spikes at him.
Everything was deadly silent now as Jason had Facilier at his total mercy right now. The sorcerer's mind was racing at just how he was found so quickly and how this dragon had got the total drop on him.
Jason partly shifted, allowing him to look into Faciler's face easier, needing a voice to speak, "Where the hell did you send her?! General Fa Mulan!".
Facilier only moved his eyes, unable to move, and Jason twitched a finger, and Faciler felt his vocals freed, and after coughing, he stuttered, "C-can't tell you where.".
Jason snarled, "Can't or won't?! I have the power to unfreeze you, and you will die quickly from my spikes. Those special spikes are very deadly, and they kill a human in minutes.".
Facilier widened his eyes, not wanting to experience the pain again as the freezing motion seems to numb the poison for now, and spoke shakily, "P-Pleasure Island. General Scar told me to get rid of her. My partner, C-Coachman is neither forcing her to be transformed into a donkey permanently with the help of a potion from a woman by the name of Yzma, or she's dead, thanks to the K-Kraken. Pleasure Island is n-not just a a-amusement park, but worse. Coachman puts people somewhere to be hunted down by the Kraken.".
"I'll kill all of them the same as I'll kill you, Facilier...", Jason growled as he wrapped his claw around the man's neck. "But I'll make you suffer plenty before then; you'll beg for an instant release...".
Facilier began to chuckle. At this point, he now knew he was dead no matter what but decided to take it all with a laugh to the grave. Certainly, he would make sure to twist the knife before the end. "Heh, hit a nerve, didn't I? Taking the woman that you loved?".
Jason roared right into Facilier's face, deafening his ears, and released his new gift of his dragon form, unfreezing him, and Facilier screamed, feeling the pain of the poison rush even faster through him even more than before, frothing and shaking, and Jason snorted, "Die in Tartarus, shadow man.", leaving Faciler alone as he is feeling his life fade, forever pinned in the wall by the spikes, screaming in denial before he saw darkness and knew nothing.
Jason saw a glint in the corner of his eye, and he walked over, seeing the pristine blossom flower necklace Mulan was wearing, shifting fully back into human form, picking it up in his hand, saying nothing as he collapsed, sobbing.
Logan stared at his brother in despair and heartbreak, and looked around, exhaling as he realized that he cannot leave him alone especially when they're in Pride Valley, the territory of Scar, and he walked up to Jason, placing a hand on his shoulder, "Come on, let's go.".
Jason shook his head, not budging as he clutched Mulan's necklace to his chest, and Logan exhaled, bringing up his dragon strength to pick up his slightly younger brother, carrying him like a child, and a portal appeared before them, and Logan walked through the portal, back in Congo, in the ruins.
Emma erased the portal right after Logan exited, and the team, the entire team, with even Haku at the doorstep of Pocahontas' room with Koda, was in silence as Jason sobbed in Logan's arms, barely noticing that he was carried to bed, and put down, with Logan ruffling his hair, pulling up the blanket on him.
"That bad?", Jasmine asked as Logan came back to her after Jason eventually fell asleep. Logan shook his head.
"I don't know. He never said anything. I don't know if she's dead or simply been captured; only Jason might know and he's not saying much for the rest of the night.", Logan sighed. "I hate seeing him like this... it's never been this bad before with him...".
"Wouldn't you be the same if I fell?", Jasmine reminded as Logan nodded, "Yeah. That's true, but... you're here now, it's Mulan who's gone and he's an absolute wreck now...".
Emma sighed, "At least Facilier's dead. We watched everything through the mirror. Pleasure Island...Do you know anything about that place?", glancing at Shere Khan who was up on his night watch.
Khan sighed heavily, "Rumors like everybody else. They said that Captain Hook lives there for the summer. That it's an amusement park for all kids of all ages. That the Kraken is haunting the place. That people don't come out the way they came in.".
"Not sure if it's fairly the same we know...", Pippa whispered to Zuri. They knew what it was before from the original film; but with this world, who knows exactly what it was now.
Zuri nodded, "Some things are the same, others are different. Remember Charming and Cinderella?", with a whisper, and Pippa remembered with a smile. Indeed, the world is rather a different universe of Disney if the team's theories are right.
Silver frowned lightly, "How far is this Pleasure Island?", and Khan frowned, "Some say that it's south of Enchantia, others say that it's a moving island since it disappears some of the time and appears some of the time. I heard stories about donkey boys who came back to being real boys if they did honest things, but now with the war, it's a possibility that the donkeys are now permanently cursed, with all ages. After all, with a general like Fa Mulan, someone would want to strip away her wits as a leader, and put her to use.", unknowing that he was right.
Far away from Enchantia, Mulan woke up to find herself chained to a post, hearing braying sounds and human screams, seeing terrified faces of her squadron, chained to fenceposts, staring in horror upon something, and Mulan glanced over to see a donkey in clothes, with a woman next door, struggling to fight off the potion, but screaming as bones broke, fur sprouted, and ears popping out, and right there, watching the transformation with a emotionless smile, is a large and obese man with gray locks and ice green eyes, holding a pail with a ladle.
"Finally woke up, eh, General?", the man laughed as he continued to watch the poor woman. Mulan, realizing she was at least still alive for the moment, was quickly trying everything she could to free herself. "Don't bother trying it, I've had plenty of time to be perfect, restraining those that try to leave.".
Mulan snarled, "Who are you?!", and the man smiled wryly, "Why, I am the Coachman. I am the partner the shadow man referred to. Now, let's see, you are strong and clever...Yes, I believe the Ferris wheel would do splendidly... After all, it will be midnight soon, and Slim will arrive with the latest shipment of children. They are suckers for the Ferris wheel after all.".
He walked closer to Mulan, "So, a choice for you, General. Do you want to die, being chased by monsters like some of your squadron who refuse to be useful, or do you want to live, to be useful? Choose carefully. The top monster around here is the Kraken, and it has a taste for virgin women, surprisingly. My shadow friends can tell the difference, and they never lie. Being a donkey is far more susceptible.".
Mulan said nothing... but spit into his face. Coachman sighed as he wiped away and shook his head. "Hmm... maybe I should turn you into a camel with how you clearly like to spit...", with a raised eyebrow. "Go to Tartarus...", Mulan growled.
Coachman raised an eyebrow, "Nah, the Kraken will be upset with a stubborn, vocal woman going down its throat. Restrain her.", and before Mulan knew it, one of the terrifying shadows grabbed her, pushed her down to the ground, with her chin hurting from the hit, and her mouth became filled with the man's ladle of liquid, with Coachman forcing her to drink, and then the shadow let go of her.
Mulan felt her body reacting to whatever's in the liquid, and she then felt her behind hurting before becoming relieved, feeling her ears pop, and the pain, the worst pain she now realized as she screamed, feeling bones break, her hands and feet changing as the screams became braying sounds, feeling her armor fall off, her clothes ripping off, making her nude for a moment before getting covered in fur as she became smaller.
"Certainly, better to at least get work out of this one... break her a bit and then maybe feed to the Kraken.", the Coachman chuckled once more. "Throw her with the others!", he ordered as Mulan's horrible ordeal slowly was reaching its end. The transformation that was; the true nightmare was still just starting.
The shadow rumbled with a nod, freeing the shaking, shivering Mulan-donkey from the chains, haltering her, and pulled her up. Mulan grunted as she got up, walking clumsily on all fours, got yanked when she slowed down, and she was led down the corridor from the others, managing to spare a glance at her squadron with a sad look, trying to say that she's so sorry, but only a bray was heard by human ears.
Mulan saw a huge amusement park around her, and she felt so small as she was led forcefully, seeing donkeys whipped, pulling wagons, pushing boxes, carrying sacks, kicked by boots or pushed by claw-like hands, hearing human voices in the cries and brays of the donkeys.
Seeing the Ferris Wheel the Coachman said about, Mulan was led down a dark tunnel under the Ferris Wheel, to a contraption that is tied to the Ferris Wheel above, harnessed by donkeys, with one spot missing, and Mulan was pushed into there, harnessed.
"Fresh tonight, eh?", a voice replied, and she looked over to her partner next to her, a donkey of dark brown fur and hazel eyes, male by the voice, and Mulan nodded, "Y-yes...Who are you?".
The donkey gave a small smile, "Prince Naveen, or rather ex-Prince, really...My wife, Tiana is working under the carousel tonight...".
"Uh, are we...?", Mulan asked. "We can understand each other perfectly; they and any other humans don't... not unless they've been around donkeys their whole lives and are able to pick that up.", Naveen gave a depressing laugh. "And you're another one of the Coachman's victims? Let me guess, Facilier got to you first?". Mulan nodded.
"How did you know...?", Mulan asked.
Naveen sighed heavily, "It was perhaps five years ago. I and my wife weren't married by then. Heck, she hated me for being a spoiled brat, and that I dragged her into the whole frog business. Right, sorry, I should have started from the beginning. You see, we lived on a whole other island, Lania, and we lived in the region of Mau. Facilier was actually from there. He started the whole thing as a shadow man. I was visiting Tiana's hometown as I was there to find a woman with a mighty dowry since my parents disowned me, and then Facilier came in, tricked me into thinking that he could help me, and he cursed me to be a frog. At a costume party, I saw Tiana as a princess, and well, you probably know the story, so I thought it'd help, but turns out that she was a peasant, and on our first kiss, she became a frog.".
"We had a whole crazy adventure, discovering that a princess can take away the curse if she kissed me, but I fell in love with Tiana during the adventure, and with friends we made, we got rid of Facilier, thinking that he was dead thanks to those wacky shadows, got married, and had a kid...Facilier came back, threatening to kill our daughter if we didn't obey him, and in the end, we became donkeys just to protect our daughter, leaving her in the care of our friends. As donkeys, it has been three years for us. Our daughter, she gotta be 2 by now...", Naveen finished with a sigh.
"I... I'm sorry...", Mulan said. "I've been having to spend the past four years leading forces to try and combat the dark tide. Seeing so many friends and compatriots dead on the battlefield... and only recently did things change... for me and for those I commanded.". Her heart was filled with so much guilt at what obviously was her squadron suffering at this moment in this hell because she foolishly didn't listen to her nagging feeling.
