Author Explanation: A lot has happened. computer straight died, all my documents with story's all gone and I can't login from any device but from my old iPhone (is how I'm writing this) and it has a shit battery life. So yeah... don't worry I haven't forgotten about this or any of my works. Enough about my misfortune, here you go.
It was starting to rain.
Fuckin hell
I was hoping to find the Cauldron before it did. But seems like that wasn't happening.
Keepin to any roof covers to stay dry. I continue my hunt for the Cauldron.
A small grumbling caught my attention.
Looking down I saw Harry's face redden.
'Must be hungry.' I deduced.
Harry's face reddened more seeing that I noticed the sound.
"S-s-sorry, Dyllan." He shyly mumbled.
I shook my head then smiled.
"No need to be sorry, your hungry." I spoke, looking around the street I noticed what looks like a corner store. "Don't worry Harry, we're taking a small pit-stop"
Heading to the crosswalk. I looked both ways, seeing no dangers I went ahead.
'Hope they take US dollars.'
Near the store's door I felt Harry shiver in my arms.
I looked down to the lad. He's shivering!
Worrying, I stood by the stores entrance. And looked at Harry.
"Are you okay, Harry?" I asked worriedly.
He set his gaze to me, head shivering.
"C-c-cc-ooold D-d-d-yllan." He stammers out.
I could give him my coat, I'll be fine. He's what I'm more worried about.
"Harry I'm going to set you down for a moment, okay?"
Harry shakingly nodded.
Lowering him to his feet. His eyes focused on me.
Seeing the little lad shiver made my heart clench.
Kneeling down to his level I stated unzipping my coat. Slipping my arms out. Harry's eyes are filled with interest. "D-D-D-Dyl-lan, s-"
He was cut off at the end when I placed the coat over his shoulders. Zipping it back up. I pulled my hands back.
He blinked raising his arms he looked at the sleeves. His arms are too short. returned his gaze to me. Head tilted.
'Okay now this is a cute sight.'
The coat is a little big for the lad. Little head with broken rimmed glasses poking out, arms to short to reach out the sleeves currently dangling and only seeing his little shoes at the bottom.
'This is sooo fucking adorable.'
I smiled at him. "How you feeling now, Harry?"
Looking at the sleeves then down to the coat itself. Looking back, he has a conflicted look.
"W-warm, sir. B-b-but th-th-this is y-y-yours."
I blinked then shake my head.
'He doesn't have to call me sir all the time'
"I don't mind if you use it Harry, I'll be alright without it. And no need to call me sir, Harry. Just call me Dyllan or just Dyl if you want."
The lad blinked once more. Then hesitantly asked. "A-a-are y-you su-re, Dyl?"
I nodded my head with a smile.
"Yes Harry, I'm very sure."
His little eyes shined for a moment, then a smile blessed my eyes.
"T-thank you, D-Dyl."
I gave a chuckle. Looking at the store's door. I spoke.
"Well, now lets get something for you to snake on."
Looking back at the lad, he looked to me then the door.
"But before we enter, do you want me to carry you again or are you okay to walk with me?"
He turned to me. Hesitant.
A minute passes and it seems that he made his decision.
Looking at me, he reached his hand out.
"I-I'm oka-y to wa-walk, Dyl"
I blinked. Then nodded.
Take his hand into my own. I could have sworn I felt a jolt hit me.
Putting the thought aside, I smiled to the lad. Standing up I reached for the handle.
"Alright, let's get you something."
Break
Turns out they did that American currency. Thankfully.
The store was a kind of sandwich shop. Deli
I think it called? No that not it. Whatever anyway.
There's not many people in the shop. Only a hand full. Two workers and five patrons.
I ordered Harry a small sandwich.
Harry, Not knowing what he wanted. I offered my personal preference.
Turkey, cheese and mayonnaise.
And also decided to get him a drink. A bottle of juice.
It wasn't that expensive. Only $5.35. Out of the fifty I have.
We sat at a booth. Harry looked at his food, hasn't even reached. I was confused.
"Aren't you gonna start eating, Harry?"
He turned his head to me. What I saw in his eyes was hard to describe. He's hesitant to eat but wants to.
I was about to ask if somethings wrong. Until finally spoke.
"Y-y-you s-sure?"
I blinked.
"Of course, Harry. Besides your hungry right? Go ahead." I encouraged.
He stare at me for a couple seconds then turn to his sandwich. Then back to me.
'Those fucking abusers'
Keeping my face calm, I gave gesture to the sandwich.
"Go on Harry, enjoy." I encouraged with a nod.
He seemed to relax in his seat. Nodding, he finally reached for his food.
'If I ever see those two again I don't think I could hold myself back from knocking their teeth in!'
The moment the food reach his lips his eyes lit up. Then he began to eat with gusto.
I made sure he didn't choke his sandwich. And to remind him about his drink.
Thankfully he eating slow. Chewing his food then swallowing. But did have to remind him of his juice.
With the lad occupied for the moment. I should try to remember where the Leaky Cauldron is.
I can remember from the films that it's next to a book store, it a condemned looking building that has no windows looking in and a sign with nothing on it.
'So keep an eye out for an area that looks iconic. That's helpful.'
I should really be panicking about this but I feel oddly calm. And I honestly don't mind it. Maybe it that weird sense I now have.
Maybe if I fallow the odd pulling it would lead me to the Cauldron? It let me to Harry. Maybe it can help me?
Don't know how much luck I have, but I hope it's enough.
Feeling a tug on my shirt I looked at Harry.
"Dyl? I-I-I'm full."
I blinked. Turning my head. I looked at his food.
He ate half and as well for his juice.
I nodded my head. "Alright, are you ready to head out?"
Harry looked a window. "I-I-its ra-rain-ing."
I fallowed his eyes. Indeed it is downpouring outside.
I frowned.
'As must stay inside and let the rain pass, I don't think I can.'
"We're getting closer Harry, just a little more."
Feeling Harry's gaze, I looked to him.
"W-w-we are?"
I nodded.
"Can't be far now. Keep my coat on for now, help you keep warm and dry."
Harry nodded his head.
"O-okay, Dyl."
I gave him a reassuring smile.
"Let me wrap up the rest your sandwich, grab your drink and we'll head off."
He tilted his head.
"W-w-why?"
Finished wrapping the sandwich. I place it and the juice in my satchel.
"In case if you want something to snack on later."
His eyes lit up in understanding.
"Oh o-okay."
Sliding out of the booth. We headed for the door.
Harry's hand in my own, we exit the store.
Looking down to Harry I spoke.
"Let me know if you're get tired, Harry."
He looked up at me and nodded his head.
"O-okay, Dyl."
I smiled. Seems saying Dyl is easy for him.
Nodding. I felt for the nearest pull. Hope luck is still with me.
Feeling one close by. I turned to it.
'Okay, I don't know how you work but you haven't lead me astray yet.'
Taking a breath. Me and Harry started walking.
'Lead me to the Cauldron."'
