Anne smiled at her. "I can imagine that, and perhaps we should make introductions first. As you might have guessed, I'm Anne, Victoria's older sister and this lovely creature is my mate Jane."

"I am perfectly capable of making my own introductions Anne, but yes, I'm Jane." The petite blonde said with a scowl that is was beginning to think was her standard look.

"It's nice to meet you both. I'll be honest and say that I don't know anything about you besides what Esme and Victoria have told me, but I would like to get to know you both." Bella said with a slight blush coloring her cheeks.

Anne smiled at her. "You're just adorable aren't you? There's no need to be nervous little one. We won't bite. I'll leave that privilege to my sister when the time comes."

"I'm sure she would agree with that. But I have to say something has been bugging me a little. Mom told me that you and your brother are known as the Witch Twins. May I ask how you two got that name?" Bella asked softly.

Jane smiled at that. "That's kind of you to say Bella, but we don't mind being called that. It has helped us a lot on missions because people are usually very hesitant to cross us in any way because of our reputation. You're actually the first that has ever said that we are more than our gifts besides my mate, Esme and the Queens."

Jane and Anne shared a look at that. "Not to be disregard your feelings or anything, but I find that a bit odd. Most people shrink away in fear when they meet me, and you were no exception when I came to meet you at the entrance."

Anne actually laughed lightly at that. "Something amusing you sister?" I asked with a quirked eyebrow.

Anne smiled at me. "It's a theory Jane and I have developed over the years. We believe that mates are brought together by more than just experiences, but by personality too, and to a degree by their gifts. "The Queens, as well as ninety percent of the Guard seems to think you do, since Edward's mind reading didn't work on you, but Jasper's emphatic abilities do work on you, as Alice's ability to receive visions of you." I said with a soft smile.

Bella smiled and cuddled into me. "There might be something to that, but I suppose there isn't any way to check, so I'm not really worried about it."

Jane smiled at her. "Actually, the Queens have requested the presence of the Denali Coven. Among them there is someone who can detect gifts in both vampires and humans. They should be here tomorrow."

"Esme told me about the Denali's. They are the Queen's daughters aren't they?" Bella asked with a smile.

Both Jane and Anne nodded at that. "They are, and especially Kate uses that to her advantage. She has a habit of pranking the Guard knowing that we can't do anything about it."

Bella smiled at that. "I can understand that. It's easy to forget you're quite privileged when you're the favorite, and since I'm speaking from experience of being Esme's favorite. I know what it is like."

Jane only smiled at that as Bella's stomach decided to add its two cents to the conversation, which made the brunette blush. "Hungry love?" I asked softly.

She nodded at that as she went to take a sandwich from the basket, almost devouring it with relish. "Sorry, I didn't even realize I was so hungry. I suppose we've kind of lost track of time.

"That and you're probably still adjusting to European times, but it might also be because your nerves have finally settled a little." I said with a soft smile.

Bella nodded and pressed a kiss to my cheek. "I know, and I know you've told me that several times, but you know how my mind works. I was so nervous that your sister wouldn't like me that I just got in my own head too much, and especially in the vampire world in-laws kind of have a different meaning."

We all smiled at that. "I have to be honest and say that not a lot of vampire couples get married, my love. The mating bond usually is enough for most couples." Anne said with a soft smile.

Bella smiled at that. "Well, I'll be honest and say that we know that Victoria and I are going to get married some day, because Alice keeps insisting that she has seen our wedding somewhere in the future."

I smiled at her. "I know, and at some point it will happen, but I will leave the time and method of my proposal a surprise."

She nodded and smiled at me. "I expect nothing less from you baby. You've proven to be quite stubborn in overshadowing Alice's visions about us."

Anne laughed lightly at that. "Victoria has always been very stubborn, especially as a child."

"Don't act like you were any better when you were young. I've had to learn it from someone." I said with a smirk.

"Perhaps, but you're the Queen of stubbornness, Vicky." Anne said with a soft smile.

I smiled at her. "I'm sorry to break it to you sister, but my mate is the undisputed queen of stubbornness. No one, not even myself beats Bella at being stubborn."

In my lap Bella blushed a little. "It's not by choice okay. I've had to be stubborn in order to survive with my mother. There have been plenty of days I didn't eat because she didn't even think of getting groceries and had no money for it too."

"I'm sorry love, I was only teasing you a little. I honestly didn't mean anything else with it, and I certainly didn't mean to bring back bad memories for you." I said softly.

She smiled and kissed me softly. "I know, and I didn't mean to snap at you. I just get a little bit defensive when people tease me about being stubborn."

I smiled and wrapped my arms around her waist as I nuzzled her neck. "I'm sorry love, I really am. Will you forgive me."

"Of course I will. You know I can't stay mad at you. I'll just let Mom deal with that particular fact." Bella said with a wink.

I smiled and pressed a kiss to her neck. "And I will undergo my punishment like a woman love."

She smiled and nodded as she relaxed against me, both of us more than content to spend the rest of the afternoon with Anne and Jane, and now that Bella seemed a lot more relaxed, she also didn't seem to mind asking them both some more in depth questions about their pasts.
