CHAPTER 10
(TARA'S P.O.V)
I yawned and stretched in the lawn chair in content. Sookie, who lay next to me in her own chair, turned on the small radio that lay next to us. It was Sunday morning around 7pm, when I visited Sookie, and we then decided to lay in the cool, and enjoy the morning for a while. Suddenly we heard laughter in the distance, making us sit up to see who was approaching us. "No fucking way…" I said in disbelief. "Bill?...," Sookie called his name in total shock. We both sprinted towards Bill, and Mario, as we circled them in shocked silence. "How?..." Sookie questioned as she cupped Bill's face in affection. "I'll explain everything," Bill assured, cupping Sookie's face as well. "But first I think we should get inside." Twenty minutes after being told of how Bill managed to obtain the medallion, Sookie and I were left speechless.
"Oh my God Bill you should be showing the world what you can do, not hiding it," Sookie reasoned overjoyed that Bll could walk in the sun. "It's not that simple, Sookie," Bill explained. "Revealing myself to the world would attract enemies both vampire and human." Sookie smiled sadly at his comment. I sighed in sadness, because I knew Sookie wanted Bill to be able to have this moment more than anything. But the truth was Bill would always have enemies, especially now he was vampire king. It was just one of those things that came with their relationship.
"Tara, can we talk in private for a moment?." Mario suddenly asked. "Sure," I replied as we both got up, and headed for the porch. A cool wind blew, making the summer air much cooler. "Thank you," I said to him. "For everything you've done. I don't think you know how much this means to Sookie." "You're welcome. Don't mention it." He grinned leaning against a post. "I got two tickets to see a movie tomorrow night," Mario suddenly said. "I was wondering if you wanna go?." I then sighed and gave him a sad smile, as my thoughts drifted to Eggs. "I'm gonna have to say no. I think- I think we should go back inside and see what Sookie and Bill are up to." I said lamely making an immediate beeline for the front door.
(TERREL'S P.O.V)
"Nice to see you again my lad," a familiar voice said behind me. I was sitting at the river bank looking out at the quiet lake. I turned to see the Clurichaun that I had first met, and was waiting on. "As promised my boy the medallion…" the Clurichaun stated, handing it to me. Yeah that's right, my wish that Clurichaun granted me was to obtain the medallion that Russell was coming to claim here in Bon Temp. "I hope you're happy lad, it was difficult to get off a sleeping vampire's neck, I would've got it sooner if it wasn't for me getting caught in a wine cellar. Anyways, I left the vampire with the fake one. See you around lad." With that he disappeared, as I slipped the medallion in my pocket grinning, as I stood up and headed for the Merlott's bar.
