Ok, chapter 4, bringing in Pico for this

Real talk here, I was very tempted to NOT add Pico in the story, solely because of how Izuku's past and Pico's don't link, like at all.

Besides, RecD's lyrics video for Pico was half about Pico and BF talking about their past in both singing and romantic sense, now no offence to any Deku shippers who make him Bisexual or Gay, but in my story's canon, Izuku Midoriya is not gay, he supports them yes, but is not gay himself.

So I was struggling to make this work, but thankfully thanks to my friend on Discord, I got some ideas flowin'

So now, Enjoy this chapter and my take on how Izuku knows Pico

10 years ago, before present events

Izuku Midoriya, currently 6 years old, was pushed to the ground as his best friend, Katsuki Bakugo and his "friends" [Lackeys] stood next to him.

"K-Kacchan! Please stop!" Izuku said as tears formed in his eyes.

"Not until you learn your place Deku" Bakugo said as his hands popped with explosions, his lackeys also activated their quirks which were growing longer fingers and red bat wings, but before the bullies could even hit Izuku.

"Hey!"

The four kids turned to the new voice, the bullies confused and Izuku confused but thankful that something stopped the bullies for now.

They all saw a kid the same age as them, he was wearing a green T-shirt, white shorts, brown shoes and had orange hair, he also strangely had white eyes.

"Leave him alone!" the orange haired kid said as he pulled out a toy gun that was colored blue and yellow with toy darts loaded into it.

Bakugo and the lackeys were silent before they laughed, "Oh we're so scared" Bakugo said as they changed target from Izuku to the new kid, "If you wanted to die quickly, you should've just said so".

Bakugo's fellow bullies went first to rush him, however the new kid smirked as he spun his toy gun around before he pulled the trigger, the dart shot fast and hit the bat winged bully right between the eyes, knocking him down as he held his face.

"OW! That hurt alot!" he said as he held his face, the long fingered kid was shocked before grunting.

"Your gonna pay for that ginger" he said before he tried to grab the new kid, however he jumped out of the long fingers reach with surprising ability, he was high in the air before he landed on Long Fingers shoulders and leapt off, making the bully fall from the push.

Bakugo stood in shock before he growled, "Alright now you asked for it!" he said before he charged at the new kid with his hands open, ready to use an explosion.

The kid smirks as he charged at the raging blonde, Bakugo threw his hand out for an explosion, only for the new kid to grab his arm and push it to the side, making the attack miss, then he slid around Bakugo and shot him in the back with his toy gun, making Bakugo yelp in pain, then the new kid finished the job by doing a leg sweep, knocking Bakugo on the floor.

Izuku was in shock, his friend turned bully was on the floor, he didn't expect him to be defeated so easily with how amazing his quirk was, but Izuku soon became nervous as the new kid walked over to him, only to see him extend his hand to him.

"You ok?".

Izuku was nervous but he accepted his hand as the new kid pulled him up from the ground.

"Y-Yeah, I'm ok, how did you do all that?" Izuku asked.

"Oh nothing special, just some things I picked up from watching a lot of TV and movies" the new kid said as he spun his toy gun around before they heard Bakugo and his lackeys get up, Bakugo growled in anger.

"This isn't over ginger" he said before the new kid aimed his toy gun at him.

"My name is Pico, Pico Tofulp, and yes, it is over, wanna know why?" Pico said as he pointed his 'weapon' near the walkway by the park, some adults walking over, "Cause the grownups will be here any second after hearing that bang of yours" Pico said, which made Bakugo's lackeys stunned as their quirks deactivated, Bakugo's eye twitched before he grunted in anger.

"Fine, but don't think you won ginger" he said as he and his lackeys ran off, Pico quickly put away his toy gun as the adults walked over, checking if he and Izuku were fine.

Since then Pico and Izuku had been friends, especially since Pico went to school with Izuku, Pico even learned about Izuku's singing talent and they had fun singing together after school, however 2 years after they met, Pico was forced to move as his father gotten a job in a different country.

Since then, Izuku was always wondering, what happened to his best buddy Pico and if he was doing ok, he tried to find something about Pico on the internet one time and found out that he was involved in a school shooting in his new home town, which worried Izuku even more.

Present day

Izuku and Cherry are seen walking around town, after getting some practice recordings, Daddy Dearest and Mommy Mearest would call Izuku after a few days to tell him the progress.

"I never expected to get a music deal at this age, or at all honestly" Izuku said as Cherry held his hand.

"I'm sure it will be great, besides, we get to sing together more when you get the deal" Cherry said as Izuku blushed.

"S-So, any ideas on what to do before we head back to the dorms?" Izuku asked.

"Hmmm, well, I know this may sound strange, but could I perhaps meet your parents? You've already met mine" Cherry asked, Izuku blushed at this, it was true he did meet her parents, a bit early than he wanted to.

"W-Well, you could meet my mom, my dad is overseas working his job" Izuku mentioned, making Cherry wonder why her boyfriends dad wasn't at home with his family, but shook off that feeling.

"Ok, lets meet your Mom, I hope she will like me" she said as Izuku chuckled nervously, he didn't know how his mom would react, but he was hopeful she liked Cherry.

As they walked, they didn't notice someone following them, a green shirt and red shoes could be made out from the person hiding in the shadows, as well as orange hair styled back.

As they walked, they noticed things looked a bit different, unknown.

"Um, Cherry, does this look familiar to you?" Izuku asked.

"I don't think so, does it to you?" Cherry said.

"Not to me" he said, they then both realised the same thing.

"We're lost"

Just then, they heard footsteps behind them, being cautious, Izuku activated his quirk, green sparks flying off him as he braced himeself.

"Seems like you still have a bad sense of direction huh Midoriya?"

Izuku's eyes widened, that voice sounded strangely familiar, the tone as well, as he turned, he was very much surprised to see who it was.

It was Pico! He had definitely grown since they last met, his attire now a green shirt with brown pants and red shoes, his orange hair styled back had grown a bit longer, if Izuku had to guess, they were probably still matching height as they were as kids.

"P-Pico?!" Izuku yelled in shock.

"Long time no see huh?" Pico said.

"Y-Yeah no kidding!" Izuku said.

"Um, Izuku, who is this?" Cherry asked.

"O-Oh, sorry, Cherry, this is my old friend Pico, he moved out of the country 8 years ago" Izuku said before he realised.

"Wait, when did you come back?" He asked.

"Eh, not too long ago, I came back to Japan 7 months ago, I honestly can't believe you still remember me tho" Pico explained.

"You kidding? I'd never forget on of my best friends" Izuku said.

"Glad to know that, so who's the chick?" Pico asked.

"Oh, t-this is Cherry, she's my, g-girlfriend" Izuku said with a blush.

"Girlfriend huh? Man things have definetly changed huh?" Pico asked.

"Y-Yeah, sure has, s-so you wouldn't happen to know your way around do you? We got lost" Izuku asked.

"Yeah I know my way around, but how about we make it interesting?" Pico said.

"I-Interesting how?" Izuku asked.

"I've heard you got yourself in the singing game, beat me in some rap battles, and I'll show ya way home" Pico said.

"A-And if I lose?" Izuku asked.

"We'll get to that later, come on, lets see what you got old pal" Pico said as he pulled out a mic from, somewhere.

"W-Well, Ok then, Cherry, any tunes you got on hand?" Izuku asked.

"Yep, I got some" Cherry said as she pulled out her phone and started playing some music.

~But now your stepping on some new grounds~

"Hero huh? So you actually got into a hero school huh? Way to rub it in" Pico said.

"I-I didn't mean to Pico, it just, came up" Izuku said

"Guess you're really doing better ever since I left huh?" Pico said.

"Pico, come on, don't bring that up" Izuku said

"All's fair in love and war, this just happens to be both" Pico said as he pulled something out and it shocked Izuku to his core.

"Y-You have a real gun?!" he exclaimed.

"You bet, things have changed Midoriya, and so have I" Pico said with a smirk.

~Whole town looked wrong~

~there was something going on~

~Looked around for the attacker~

~Looked back down and you were gone, mido~

~Man, I was scared~

~Couldn't ever be prepared~

~For the guy I trusted most~

~To have my face lined up with his crosshairs~

~Wish we talked it out, but still~

~Get why you ran off for the hills~

~I shoulda realized, once a merc~

~You work alone, or folks get hurt~

~Wait, hold on, your a merc?!~

~I thought you were training for hero work!~
~But taking up hired hits~

~Can't be good for your mind, man, call it quits!~

"Call it…quits?" Pico said as he looked at his Uzi gun before shaking his head, "No, I work my job, I sing my tunes, its better off I do this Midoriya" Pico said.

"B-But, come on Pico, taking up hits? Thats not right, you could get into some serious trouble with the pro heroes" Izuku said.

"Izuku is right, mercenary work may seem good, but its not, I know plenty of heroes that's taking down mercenaries, and they don't always have a good ending" Cherry said.

Then Izuku got an idea, "H-Hey, I'm getting close into a big music business, I could take you up with me" Izuku suggested.

Pico looked unsure before he scowled.

"Sorry Midoriya, livin' the life of a pop star just, doesn't work out for people like me" Pico said, which got Izuku annoywed.

"It would be better than living the life of a mercenary! It would do you so much better if you just got rid of that Stupid GUN!" Izuku exclaimed, before he held his mouth shut, seeing Pico looking shocked before the ginger's eyes twitched.

"You want me…" Pico clenched his fist that held his microphone, "To give up…" he scowled at Izuku before he aimed his Uzi at him and Cherry, "MY GUN?!" he exclaimed.

"O-Ok, maybe that was a little to far" Izuku said as Cherry summoned some demonic energy to defend herself and Izuku, "J-Just calm down! L-Look you're aimin' that thing at me by accident again!" Izuku pleaded.

"Oh its not an accident this time" Pico said threatingly, "I got one hell of a high-payin' job from some hand wearing freak that I was plannin' to turn down, until now" Pico informed them.

"Hand wearing…! You mean Shigaraki?!" Izuku exclaimed.

"The guy who attacked your class at the USJ and the camp you went to?!" Cherry asked her boyfriend.

"Riiight on the money" Pico said, "So here's how it's gonna go, you got one more song left to change my mind about my line of work, and if you don't, BLAM This peaceful rap!" Pico said as a new beat started.

"Hhahahaha" Pico laughed as he pulled his Uzi away and hid it away, "Guess that stupid, wide-eyed optimism o' yours saved my bacon this time" Pico said.

"C-Cool, j-just please don't aim it at us again" Izuku said.

"Deal, but if you ever make me put it down again, I'm putin' you down" Pico said.

"O-Ok" Izuku said.

"Atleast we're ok" Cherry said.

" Yeah, so Pico, I won right? C-could you help us, get to my place?" Izuku asked.

"Oh sure, I know the way, follow me" Pico said as Izuku and Cherry started to follow him back.

"Well, atleast you got to meet your old friend, right Izuku?" Cherry said to her boyfriend.

"Y-Yeah…" Izuku said as he looked to Pico, still worried about his old friend.

Izuku could also feel something in his gut, this wouldn't be the first time his life is threatened in a rap battle, and he dread what would come.

Well, new chapter is done, hope you guys enjoyed, I know its been a long while so let me just say, things aren't going so well, I'm saving up money to get my own place so work is piling on, and ever since my nan passed away last month and we had the funeral not to long ago, I've become, somewhat depressed? I can't tell.

So for now, don't expect any big updates so soon, I'll still work on other stories, just don't expect them in like, a week or whatever.

Anyways, I'm most likely going to do a mod character for the next rap battle, I'm listing possible first mod rap battle, so I'm most likely going to be doing Whitty next.
