My most darling Lucas,
It is hard to imagine how so much could happen in just a few short months, and so much of it was unexpected. I always dreamed of having a family and turning a house, wherever that might be, into a home. But never did I imagine that I would find it while drifting high above the hills in a balloon. We are truly blessed my love in so many wonderful ways. Having found one another and the three of us becoming a family are the most important. But now we have through serendipity found a place that offers us a fine house and business to bring to life. I see this as the founding of the legacy of the Bouchards in Hope Valley for generations to come.
And now in just a couple of days, we will be embarking on a grand adventure to Europe and I couldn't be more excited to share this with you. Even Jack loves to hear about the places you have seen and is looking forward to this trip with great anticipation. We have our maps all ready to follow through our travels. There are so many places in our plan that I can't wait to see but there is one that sits at the forefront. I will divulge it when we get there and I have a feeling you will agree.
Each night, as I say my prayers, I thank God for bringing you to me. It can only be through his divine providence that I have found the perfect one for me, a man who loves me and our child unconditionally. You have made this the happiest time of my life and I look forward to each day with joy and gratitude for this gift.
You are the best father a mother could hope for her children, the best friend any person could ever want, and the best lover a woman could ever hope for. When we make love, it is the way you look at me that is my undoing. At first, your gaze says you adore me but then you look down deep and tug at my heart and touch my soul in that most special bond between us. I love you Lucas Bouchard, with a love that I never imagined.
Yours always,
Elizabeth
