"Where are these bombs? I don't see- AAAGH!" With a flash of darkness, Yusei felt an explosion go off from his duel disk and flare in his face. Yusei Lp(600-100) What happened?! It feels like I went blind! I can't see anything!

Huh? That voice... In the dark void that made up Yusei's vision, a new figure emerged. A figure, taller than Yusei, and with black spiky hair with yellow highlights.

C'mon, Yusei! You can do this. I wish I had time to catch up with you right now, but I'm afraid I barely have time for a rousing speech. Your friends are counting on you, my son, and so is the world.

"I- huh?! What's this?" Looking around him, Yusei found a large number of small particles the size of snowflakes falling towards him. As they came closer, Yusei noted that they looked like small specks of crimson light. The specks gathered together as they landed on Yusei's deck, and when all the specks had come together, a new card, bathed in a golden glow, had formed atop his deck. Similarly, the mark on his back continued to glow at full strength, but now its crimson glow had metamorphosed into a golden glow that lit up the entire tunnel of darkness.
"This... my friends... I see. Don't worry, everyone!"

"I... DRAW!"

"You're right. It sounds like..." Before Toby could finish his thought, a fifth roar cut him off.
GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! In a flash, five dragons materialized before the group of Signers. One Crimson, one Aqua, one Golden, one Chartreuse, and one Magenta.
"Whoa, it's-"
"It's the dragons, Luna, it's the dragons! They're all here!"
"But, w-why are they here? I-I mean, what are they doing?" Clarissa asked nervously.
GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! The five dragons let forth a simultaneous roar, one which shook the ground itself. From beneath their feet, the Signers felt something breach the ground below. A large bubble, in all the colors of the rainbow, swallowed the Signers and left the plane of existence of the underground cavern, zipping through space.
"Whoa, it's just like when Yusei and Jack dueled at the Fortune Cup!" Luna remarked, but unfortunately for her, only Akiza truly understood what she was referencing, which she made clear with a nod of her head and a quiet "yeah". Within a few more moments of travel, the Signers could look beneath them and see the night sky of New Domino City, aglow with the lights of man. Stopping above Goodwin's mansion, the bubble slowly descended, popping as it touched down on the roof, leaving the Signers to plop a few inches onto the top of the building.
"Okay, does anyone care to explain what just happened?" Jack questioned agitatedly.
"Well, Jack-"
"Not you, bird-brain."
"Well geez, excuse me for trying to help."
"Um, guys!"
"Not now, Leo."
"But, Luna-"
"So we're back above ground, huh?" Charlotte observed.
"Yeah, it would seem that the dragons dropped us off here, but I wonder why." Calvin added.
"There has to be some sort of purpose." Matt hypothesized.
"Guys, I-"
"Wait, look! Jasper's waking up!" Crow exclaimed.
"And so's Billy!" Luna cried.
"What?! Are they okay?" Rin called out worriedly, bounding over to the two as they woke up.
"Urgh. I get the strangest feeling I'm being stared at." Jasper muttered groggily, rubbing his eyes that were still closed. After a few moments his eyes opened completely.
"Hey there, nerd. Have a nice nap?"
"CROW?! What are you- I thought- Aren't I in-"
"The Netherworld? Nope. The Crimson Dragon saved you. Enough of that, how do you feel, you aren't hurt anywhere, are you?" Crow interrogated as Rin bounced her way over towards Billy.
"I'm fine, bird-brain."
"Great, just great. Between you and Jack, now I have to deal with double the sass."
"And how are you, Billy?" Luna questioned as Billy opened his eyes, Calvin holding the boy in his lap.
"I'm-I'm okay. I'm okay? I'm okay! But, where's Blaster! I-"
"It's okay, Billy." Luna reassured. "Blaster's taken care of, and you don't have to be afraid any more. But right now, our friend is dueling to save the universe, and it would be great if you could help us cheer for him!"
"Um... Okay!" Billy nodded hesitatingly.
"Guys?"
"Leo, we have to focus on finding out what's happening with Yusei." Akiza instructed.
"THAT'S WHAT LEO'S BEEN TRYING TO TELL YOU ALL!" Sagi screamed, directing everyone's gazes towards her. Noticing this, she made an effort to hide herself behind Leo.
"Look, guys! Up there!" Leo pointed with his right index finger to the stars above him.
"It's... Yusei!"
"I activate the speed spell- Dragon's Synchro! The power of this speed spell can only be tapped into when I have six or more speed counters, and its effect lets me summon six dragon type synchro monsters from my graveyard, with each summoning counting as a synchro summon!" Yusei explained.
Six?! But that's impossible! There's not enough monster slots on the field for that!
"That's why I'm not summoning them all at once!"
I won't let you summon them at all! I activate my trap- Magic Jammer! By discarding the last card in my hand, I can negate your spell and destroy it, along with your last chance to win this duel!
"That won't be happening! I activate my trap card- Trick Mirror! This card negates your trap by applying its effect as its own. But since I don't have any cards in my hand to discard, I can't activate its effect, so your trap is null and void! Now then, the first monster I'm bringing back is Black Rose Dragon!
"RAAAARGH!"
"And when Black Rose Dragon is synchro summoned, its special ability lets it destroy every card on the field. Go, Black Rose Gale!"
"RAAAARGH!" Black Rose Dragon let out a piercing howl, the whipping winds it caused destroying the First Darklord and the Great Evil's two facedown cards, along with blowing away the last of the miasma that swarmed around Yusei and the Great Evil, revealing the New Domino City skyline beneath them.
WHAT?! My darkness! It's- it's gone!
"That's right! Just like you're soon to be! Because now I'm bringing back Ancient Fairy Dragon and Life Stream Dragon! And due to Dragon's Synchro's effect, they can attack you directly before returning to my graveyard! Go, Life Force Uproar and Eternal Sunshine!" As Life Stream Dragon and Ancient Fairy Dragon howled in unison, the sky itself began to tremble, and the sun began to rise over the horizon, melting away even more of the little darkness that remained.
W-WAAAAAAAAAAAARUGHOSLSKSHDKJSP! Great Evil Lp(6600-1600) NO! NO, NO, NO! I REFUSE TO LET IT END LIKE THIS! I REFUSE TO BE BEATEN BY THE DRAGONS A SECOND TIME!
"IT'S OVER! At this point, you've heard it enough, but I'll reiterate one last time for you why you lost. You have the powers of darkness and yourself on your side but nothing else. But I! But us! We're not alone! We have the power of the light on our side! And more importantly, we have each other! Dragon's Synchro revives Black-Winged Dragon, Red Dragon Archfiend, and Stardust Dragon!" As Yusei finished, the three dragons emerged while Ancient Fairy Dragon and Life Stream Dragon disappeared, and the three new monsters lifted Yusei's duel runner off the crimson road that it had rode throughout the duel and carried it through the air.
"Look there!" Yusei commanded, pointing down at the building beneath him. "THAT is the source of our strength!"
"GO, YUSEI!" A harmonious cheer came from the roof of Goodwin's mansion. "WE'RE RIGHT HERE WITH YOU!"
"That's right!" Yusei shouted back to his friends. And he knew, even if they couldn't hear him, they knew exactly what he said.
"It's time to end this farce! Black-Winged Dragon! Red Dragon Archfiend! Stardust Dragon! END THIS DUEL!" On Yusei's command, the three dragons reared their mouths back and in unison they fired their signature attacks from their mouths, which enveloped the Great Evil's body of miasma, completely disintegrating it as it let out one last garbled scream- a terrible noise. As a result of their attack, the dragons had dropped Yusei off their backs, and his duel runner now plummeted towards the ground.
ROOOOAAARGH! The Crimson Dragon let out a mighty roar as it appeared beneath Yusei, catching him and his duel runner in its mouth, carrying them to the rest of the Signers.
"Yusei!" The crew cheered as Yusei landed and stepped off his runner.
"We saw everything- you did it, Yusei! You really did it!" Leo cheered, his enthusiasm unbounded.
"It's over, guys. We did it." Yusei said calmly, a small smile on his face.
"That's right, we did it."
"Kalin?! You're awake!"
"That's right, Yusei. And not just me. Look." Kalin gestured behind him, where Sol, Hiro, and Isabella were all standing.
"Everyone..."
"That's right. They're all back. And if they're back, that means... the Signers who we defeated might be back as well." Kalin traded looks with Calvin as he finished that last sentence.
Then does that mean...Johnny?

With five simultaneous roars, the five dragons once again appeared before the Signers. However, their roars did not stop there, as they continued roaring, bathing in a completely indescribable glow as they did.
Everyone covered their eyes, the dragons' glows being so radiant that it was blinding.
"My mark!" Yusei exclaimed. "It's glowing, brighter than ever before!" The sky was filled with red, blue, green, yellow and pink lights as all the Signers' marks shimmered in the sunrise.
"Luna, your mark... it's fading!" Leo pointed out.
"It is!"
Everyone exclaimed in surprise as all their marks' glow died down, and all the marks became incredibly dull, so much to the point that it was hard to tell what color they originally were.
"What's happening?!" Jack questioned.
"Humans." The Magenta Dragon's message was carried through Ancient Fairy Dragon's voice. "We all are incredibly grateful to you for helping us defeat this threat once and for all. It is finally safe for us to return to our world, to see our friends and family. And with that, it is no longer necessary for you to bear the burden of those marks."
"But what if evil strikes again?" Calvin questioned. "Will we be able to use these marks- no, your power- to save Earth?"
"Those marks are no more than birthmarks now." The Magenta Dragon responded. "No longer must you feel any extra obligation as a chosen one, you are all the same as any other human, special in your own way. Let those marks no longer serve as a reminder to you of your duty, but as a reminder of each other, of the bonds of friendship that you've forged and grown with each other. Those are more powerful than any dragon, this holds true even on our planet."
The Crimson Dragon was next to roar, his message being carried through the voice of the Dark Sage.
"If or when evil shall rear its face again, you all, and anyone else, can defeat it, with your own strength as humans. I have witnessed what humans can do of their own accord, and I know that you all will succeed in any trial you face, as strong human beings, not Signers."
The Aqua Dragon was next, his words being spoken by means of a familiar Brooklyn accent.
"What dae said. "This planet is beautiful. Take good care of it, okay, humans?" The Chartreuse Dragon said through Regulus's voice. "You've done so much to protect this place as Signers, it shouldn't be so hard to keep taking care of it without being Signers, right?"
"Yeah, Mr. Dragon! We'll do that!" Rally waved, earning a swift movement of a green claw in response.
"Most of all," The Golden Dragon spoke. "Don't forget to keep living your golden lives, the best you can. The evil has been defeated, so don't worry about what's next, and just enjoy the lives you have. I'm speaking to you two most of all, Yusei and Hiro."
"Right." Yusei responded with a smile. For the first time in a long while, he could feel in his heart that there was nothing to worry about.
"And with that all wrapped up, we bid you farewell." The dragons all levitated into the sky and turned to fly away.
"Hey, dragons?!" Leo cried after the majestically departing creatures.
"What is it, Leo?" The Magenta Dragon asked as she turned.
"I know you need to go home, you probably miss your family and friends a bunch, but could you tell me if we'll ever meet again? I'd love to hang out with a group of cool dragon friends."
"Yeah, that'd be sweet!" Sol added. "Plus, you could try some Earth food while we do, our way of paying you back for everything you've done."
"Yeah, we'd love to see you again!" Luna and Sagi declared.
The Golden Dragon was the one to respond. "You are correct that we must return home now, but I can say for sure, that, if you truly wish for it, we shall meet again, so have fun until then."
The dragons then flew off for the last time, their scattering scales lighting up a path in the sky like a Rainbow Road.
"Bye!" The group collectively shouted after them.
"Hey, Rally."
"What, Jasper?"
"You want to turbo duel?"
"Yeah!"
"My duel runner's completely busted, so I'll ride on the back of Crow's runner, and you ride on the back of Jack's runner, and we'll duel that way!"
"Okay-"
"Wait a second, you little brats!" Jack interjected. "You're just making me and Crow do all the work, while you guys hitch a ride."
"Come on, Jack, don't be such a spoilsport." Jasper complained. "We'll still be making all the moves, but since we'll be riding behind you guys, you'll have to place the cards for us."
"Come on, guys, you know Jack's way too small-minded for you to ask that sort of task of him." Crow jabbed.
"Who are you calling small-minded, Birdbrain?!"
"Who are you calling a birdbrain, Small-minded?!"
"That's it, I'll do it! You guys are lucky, you'll duel on your way back to Satellite. Let's go, Crow!" Jack called as he ran to his duel runner.
"Come on, guys!" Crow waved over Jasper and Rally, who were giving each other thumbs-up, a knowing grin on each of their faces.
"Hey, Jack! What about your ba- he's not listening." *Sigh* "What do you say we follow suit, Kalin?" Yusei questioned. "We haven't dueled since Crash Town, isn't that right?"
"Yeah. All right, I'm up for it. But get ready, I'll be winning."
"Hey, Yusei, are you leaving now?" Akiza questioned.
"Yeah, but don't worry, I'll spend some time cruising down memory lane with my friends, then I'll come to New Domino City for a while."
"And when you do, you'll visit me, right?"
"And us too, right?"
"Leo!"
"What? Was I not supposed to say anything, Luna?"
Luna sighed. "Sorry about that, Akiza." Akiza nodded to show it was fine while Leo said goodbye to Yusei.
"Hey, Yusei, while you're in the Satellite, you should build a duel board for Rally and Jasper so we can turbo duel, wouldn't that be awesome?!"
"Yeah!" Rally agreed.
"I don't need something silly like that, I can ride a real duel runner." Jasper remarked smugly.
"Really? 'Cause I hear that you're always crashing!" Leo responded.
Jasper's face burned red. "T-that's because Crow can't use a wrench!"
"So what do we do now?" Isabella questioned Charlotte.
"You heard the dragons, ladies. We go about our normal lives. I look forward to when our paths cross again." With a turn and a flip of her hair, Charlotte was off.
"All right then, let's go home."
"And what will you do, Toby?" Akiza asked.
"I'll go home, and on my way, I'll prepare myself for the fury of my sister at me for being gone so long after not listening to her."
"Something tells me she'll be very happy to see you."
"It was great meeting you, I can't wait to see you again. Now, we have to go look for our parents." Sol said to Leo and Luna.
*Sniff* "In truth, I-I'm going to miss you guys." Sagi spoke up softly.
"Don't worry, we'll meet again." Luna assured her.
"What are you guys talking about?" Leo questioned. "With Goodwin's help, you'll find your parents in no time, and we'll help."
"Really?" Sol and Sagi both asked.
"Of course, after all, our parents aren't around much, so me and Luna sorta know how you feel. So of course we're going to help, right, Luna?"
"Huh? Yeah." Luna nodded in agreement.
"Thanks... thanks a lot, guys." Sol said, wiping tears from his face. "We really miss our parents, so this means a lot to us."
"You know, we should exchange numbers with everyone so we don't lose track of our amigos, don't you think?"
"I guess you're right, Duane. I still think you're too upbeat about all this, though." Matt replied.
"All what? We're done with this Signer business, amigo."
*Sigh* "Again, I suppose you are right." Matt smirked.
"Luna, thanks for helping me see that not all duel spirits are evil." Billy spoke shyly. "I think that, thanks to you, I'll be able to give them, and dueling, another shot."
"I'm glad to hear that, Billy. I can't wait to hear all sorts of stories about your spirit friends."
"And you'll have to tell me more stories, too."
"It's a deal. Pinky promise?"
"Pinky promise."
"Hey, Yusei?"
"What is it, Hiro?"
"I know that the dragons told us to take it easy, but there's just a couple things I need to take care of first, but in a few weeks, I'll be back to a normal life."
"All right then, take care of yourself, Hiro."
"Of course. After all, I have to give you that third round. Don't think I'm leaving our score unsettled."
"Hmph." Yusei smirked. "Of course."
"All right, guys." Yusei addressed the whole group. "We may be going our separate ways right now, but I'm sure we'll meet again, because we're...

Isabella, Olivia, Clarissa, and Rin returned to their own counties, but kept in touch going forward. Barry, Larry, and Terry became close friends through their shared experiences and ended up attending a Duel Academy together.
Toby returned home, but was quickly overwhelmed by the flow of tears of joy from Misty's eyes. They soon returned to living normal lives together, as Toby received training from Akiza on how to control his psychic powers, and eventually began attending Duel Academy.
Stella and Reese returned to America and discovered that they went to the same high school, and quickly developed a mutual hatred for each other.
Dimitri returned to his home, and began writing a book, documenting what went down, and the story of the heroic Signers who saved the Earth.
Matt returned to his boarding school, and due to the tutor hired for him by Goodwin, he finished his school year earning straight A's.
Calvin and Tim reunited, and with a bit of training, they rose up the ranks and became one of the top tag dueling teams in Canada.
Billy returned home to his worried mother, and after a happy reunion, became an amateur duelist, and due to his ability to talk to duel spirits, became widely known as a prodigy like Luna. His hair and eyes never returned to their original color.
Kaxner returned to his home village, and received strict punishment from Greiger, but was welcomed back with open arms.
The masked duelist was never seen again, although there were rumors about a man wearing a silver tragedy mask wandering about the globe, challenging people to duel, but only ever challenging the strongest of opponents.
Duane returned to Africa, and not much was ever clear about him, but he did invite everyone to a party at a place he owned in Spain. It was noted by those who knew him that he always seemed to be looking for something.
Jasper, Rally, and Kalin all returned to the Satellite, Jasper going to Martha's (who gave him a good scolding), Rally returning to his group of friends- Tank, Nervin, and Blitz- while Kalin set out to get a job in the new and improved Satellite, every so often receiving cards in the mail from Nico and West, telling him that they and their dad were doing well.
Sol and Sagi resumed their search for their parents, and with help from the twins, and Goodwin with his extensive resources, their parents were found within a week. They had gotten lost while exploring the Amazon Rainforest. After they were found, Sol and Sagi wanted to stay near their new friends, Leo and Luna, so between their pleading, and Leo and Luna getting help from their parents, their family found a place in the Tops to stay, where the two pairs of twins could play together.
Akiza returned home, and while waiting for everyone to return, she spent her time with her parents, at Duel Academy, and helping Toby to control his psychic powers.
Yusei, Jack, and Crow spent the next couple weeks with Kalin and the rest of their friends in Satellite, before eventually returning to where they lived in New Domino City, resolving to visit Satellite whenever they could.
And they all lived happily ever after.
