Summary: Kevin is q detective at the 99 and 13 year old Jake thinks its a good idea to match him with his Dad the new Captain.

Jake hops out of the car eager to see his Dad's new squad. "Come on Dad!" He yelled excited as the teen ran over to the drivers side, Raymond then gets out of the car, he had jakes bag of things fir him to do for the day I his hand.

Jake then grabs his bag and Dad's hands he then starts to drag him along to the building, a few minutes later the two are standing in the elevator Jake bursting with energy.

"Dad are you excited?" Asked the teen making his Dad give him a smile and ruffle his curly brown hair- it was a smile he only gave his son. "Yes I guess I am Son" replied the older man.

The elevator doors then open and the child and father stepped out. As they did the officers stopped and watched the two step into the bullpen.

Jake Waves to them as he walked by As he does the boy spots a detective. He had short ginger hair, he looks pretty tall and had the same expression his Dad has, also his clothes he was dressed professional just like his Dad.

'He'd be perfect fir Dad' thought the mischievous boy, it had been a couple of weeks since Raymond's last boyfriend broke up with him, Jake was glad they did he never liked Fredrick and the man didn't like Jake all the much either.

Time skip...

Jake walks out of his Dad's office he looked around for the ginger haired detective he saw earlier, he soon spots the man Jake grins ans skips over towards him.

The teen then sit in the chair next to the desk, the man looks away from his computer and at Jake. "Hello" he said to the boy who grinned even more. "Hi" said Jake.

"You must be Captain Holts son" he said making Jakes eyes widen. 'Oo he knows his stuff' thought Jake as he smirked "Yep thats me Jake Holt, who are you?" He asks the man.

The detective sits up. "I am Detective Kevin Cozner" said Detective Cozner holding his hand out to Jake, the boy takes his hand they shake

Up.Down.separate

'just like Dad, he's perfect' grinned Jake.

Jake then spent the remainder of the day with Kevin tlaking to him and asking questions, the man was happy to indulge the boy and answer his questions.

But soon enough Raymond came out of his office in search of his son wondering how he escaped his office. When he spots the boy he walks over to the 13 year old. "You better not be distracting my Detective Jacob" came Rays voice making the two look at him.

Jake grinned at his Dad "What?? Phshhh no way Dad" said the boy the man raised an eyebrow znd Jake got up from the chair and left.

"Okay finneee, nice to meet you Kev" he said before Kevin could correct him the boy made his escape back to his Dad office he shut the door and looked out the window.

The Captain shook his head fondly at his son. "Terribly sorry about him" he apologised to the Detective, Kevin flushed at the man.

"It was no problem Sir, he was interesting to talk to, he is very bright" Asked Kevin he smiles looking at him Captain.

The man has a small smile on his face as Kevin spoke about Jake. "Well anyway thank you for indulging him" he said and held out his hand, Kevin tool it.

Up. Down. Separate.

From the office Jake cheered loudly

"Yesss it worked!" He exclaimed, he will get them together!
