At age eleven, Lucy Heartfilia leaves home, unable to deal with her father following her mother's death. She leads a monotonous life barely scraping by alone until she's befriended by a dragon slayer and water mage who are intent on adventuring with the lonely girl. However, a life as Phantom Lord mages may not be all that they dreamed of.
