"Yeyyyyyy..." Jan Di shouted with delight at finally discovering what she had been yearning for. She raced to her best friend after seeing the advertisement in the newspaper, grabbed her arm, and began leaping, and her companion followed suit, unsure why she was doing so.

"Bestie, what happened?" Ga Eul asked of a still squealing Jan Di.

"I've discovered the ideal job for myself," she said.

"Really?" her boss exclaimed as he exited the kitchen. "Where are you going to apply?"

"I read that the president and CEO of the Yoon empire are looking for an assistant."

"Wonderful, Jan Di-ah." Her companion was overjoyed, and they did their happy dance one last time. "Don't worry, I'm sure he'll be happy."

"Yeah," her voice trailed off, wondering if she would be offered a job. If she was, she would find the perfect present for her boyfriend. "I think I should go home and fill out the application," she said to her friend. "Good night, bestie," they said as they hugged.

Jan Di went out of the porridge shop with a grin on her face, intending to give Gu Jun Pyo the good news, but as she approached the corner of the building near her home, she noticed a man in white unconscious on the ground. She gaped and dashed over to him.

She knelt in front of him and looked at him. His eyes were half-opened, and she was taken aback by his beauty. His reddish hair curled perfectly on the side of his head. His apparently beautiful eyes were half-opened, and his straight nose led to his light pink soft lips. His long neck, with a slightly protruding Adam's apple. 'Beautiful,' she thought.

When the man touched her arm and brought her down to his face, she was pulled out of her reverence. "You are beautiful-" he said softly before passing out fully.

Jan Di's heart beat fast. Nobody ever told her that. No one has ever given her such a compliment in her life. Not even after she graduated from high school and enrolled in college. Even her boyfriend would not compliment her. But she shouldn't think too hard about it. She decided to call an ambulance to take him to the hospital. After about ten minutes, the ambulance came, and she told them what had happened, excluding the statement he had made. The medics assured her that they would take care of him, but she insisted on accompanying them to ensure his safety.

Shinhwa Medical facility...

Ji Hoo was still unconscious in the hospital bed, but her face kept flashing across his mind. He hadn't felt that way about a woman in a long time. He remembered her big eyes, which were filled with concern, her small lips, and the gentle touch of her hands. Even though he was only half awake, he was captivated by her gaze and couldn't help but fall for her.

This time he completely opened his eyes to find her on the edge of his bed and she still wore that worried look. He sighed, filling his headache.

"Mr." She said to him, "You're awake," she said smiling.

"Yes, where am I?" he responded and tried to sit. He looked around and noticed he was in the hospital.

"What's your name?" he asked her

"I am Geum Jan Di" she responded and rushed to him and organized pillows for him but in doing so, Ji Hoo pulled her face closer to his making her sit a few centimeters away from him.

Jan Di's body tensed upon the sudden movement. She tried to move and apologize for her clumsiness but it was useless.

Ji Hoo held her face firmly, so close that he could smell the sandalwood of her shampoo, and the silky cream that she must use on her skin, skin that his hands burned to touch.

Even in the dim of a quarter moon, her eyes were brown. And here, this close, as he bent his neck so that he, (tall and lean and fit as only a 25-year-old is lean and fit), could meet her lips.

Jan Di tried not to melt as he moved his face closer. She wasn't used to a man being gentle as he was, the way he caressed her cheeks as his thumb moved to her lower lip and lightly touched it.

Ji Hoo slowly but surely tagged her long hair to her back. Yoon Ji Hoo, what are you doing? He questioned himself as his eyes closed and he met her lips with his making butterfly ramble in his skin.

It had the feel of light rain on a warm evening. It seemed like an explosion of the universe's richest tastes blending and generating the best taste and experience they had ever felt. His hands' placement made the sensuality of a kiss feel like the greatest in the world. The faint noises that came out of his mouth during a kiss were an indication of deeper love or desire. It seemed like her body was no longer hers and she was floating in another world. She felt like she could be lost in him forever and wasn't sure how, but you are, and it's only via kissing. She had to admit it was incredible with him.

As the kiss got deeper and wetter, the door flung open making them end the kiss. Jan Di looked away from him immediately, feeling embarrassed about kissing an unknown man. She slowly hid her beet-red face and walked out of the room. "Geum Jan Di you're so stupid" she scolded herself.

The following day...

Jan Di awoke, washed, and changed into a lovely mint off-the-shoulder short dress. Ga Eul had given it to her to wear in case she got the interview.

She was notified this morning to come for the interview, and she was due to arrive at the headquarters by 9 a.m. She prayed and hoped to get the job so she could give Gu Jun Pyo a present worth something before their special occasion.

The cab arrived 30 minutes later and stopped in front of the SU-AM-Art Center. When she entered the building, she discovered a large queue of applicants in the lobby. Others were gawking at them since they were so well dressed and dolled up as if they were meeting their boyfriend.

She moved away from the women who appeared to be staring down at her as if she were garbage. Her heart shook as she tightly grabbed her cute creamy soft bunny cross bag.

"I can't believe there's a commoner here for the job," one of the females remarked.

"Does she think our Yoon Ji Hoo will hire such a plane girl?" another stated

As they continued to gossip, three men in black and one in white entered the room.

"He's here," the women said as the boss passed between them.

"Are you here for a fashion show or work?" he inquired.

"We're here for employment," they said.

Ji Hoo gave a nod. "Just so you know, I like a simple girl who will devote her entire life to performing a task," he stated firmly to them, "just as the lady dressed in a mint dress is what I'm searching for."

And as soon as he said that, everyone glanced at Jan Di, sitting on the chair with her bag clutched and her head bent.

"Her?" they exclaimed, taken aback by his pick.

"Yes," he said as he approached Jan Di and took a seat in front of her.

When she spotted someone in front of her, she glanced up to see the same man she had kissed on the hospital bed. He gave her a kind smile.

"You're hired," he declared as he handed her an envelope. "Let's talk about your pay, Miss Jan Di"

"Are you the boss?" She was astonished that the man she had saved and kissed would be her employer.

"Come on, let's go," he said, grabbing her hand and leading her through the women who were well dressed to his office, where he flashed his flawless smile, making her pulse skip a beat.

"Are you Yoon Ji Hoo?" She questioned him once again.

"Don't you want the job?" he softly inquired.

"I don't think—" she began.

"Let's talk about your salary," he said, sensing her uncertainty. He knew the kiss he had given her had made her feel uncomfortable. He began wondering if she had a boyfriend. And if she had one, then things would get difficult for him.

"Okay," she said tentatively. She was only here for a few months before graduating.

"Have you ever heard of love at first sight?" he said as he sat down in his chair.

"Yes, I have but only in movies" she responded

"That's what I felt the moment I laid my eyes on you last night"

How will Geum Jan Di respond to such a declaration from a stranger much less to her boss?

How will Gu Jun Pyo take it when he finds out that his girlfriend works for his best friend, will he be happy or sad?
