She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear after hearing such sweet words from him. Her face became scarlet as Ji Hoo continued to smile from ear to ear at her.

Ji Hoo then thought about his ex. He had been in love with her for almost his whole life. She had been his savior since he was five years old when he had lost both of his parents. Thinking about it no longer brought him grief, but a slight discomfort remained. But, after meeting and kissing Geum Jan Di last night, he felt as if he could wipe Min Seo Hyun from his life. And start over. And begin to fall in love once again

"Thank you for the—compliment," she murmured, flushing and looking down and her gaze not meeting his.

Ji Hoo grinned. He could see this girl lacked self-esteem and didn't have a boyfriend. "Do you lack self-esteem, my dear?" he stated unconsciously, a smirk growing on his lips as he observed Jan Di flush even redder than before.

'Did he just address me as my dear?' Jun Pyo would kill him if he found out.'

He smoothly rose from his chair and strolled over to where she was. He then gently grabbed her hand in his and placed a new iPad in it. "From now on, this will be your phone," he stated.

"But I already have a phone," she said, taking her phone from her purse and showing it to him.

"I know, but all of the company employees' names are here. As my assistant, your word is as good as mine. And as my assistant, there is so much you need to understand, and my scheduling will be done on this iPad," he stated.

"OK, sir," she said, nodding.

"In addition to that, every employee receives insurance for housing, transportation, and medical care. They are also given money in advance to buy work attire and shoes." He then looked at her outfit and said, "I'll take you shopping. And I'll give you the information for this month since I'll be in the Philippines for a business meeting and do some charity work and also offer medical help"

"OK, boss, I'll do my part to help you and—"

"You will be accompanying me on my trip, and we also have an event this weekend," she was cut off. "Do you have a passport? And do you have dresses for the party?"

"Yes, I do," she said cautiously.

Ji Hoo reached inside his pocket with his hands. He opened the door to his office and invited her out. "I'm going to take you shopping."

"What?" exclaimed she. "I'm capable of—"

Ji Hoo forcefully gripped her wrist. "We're going to do it together."

This was his first time taking an assistant shopping. His past assistants were not at all like this young lady. To put it simply, they were vulgar. However, he can't help but want to be near Geum Jan Di since yesterday. If it was love at first sight, he had to admit it was too strong for him to reject.

Ji Hoo led Jan Di to his car, which was parked in the parking lot. One of his men handed him his keys, and he opened the door to the passenger seat.

Jan Di reluctantly took a seat and was welcomed with a pleasant masculine fragrance. 'I'm wondering how many women he takes in his car,' she pondered.

He adjusted his seat belt and instinctively said, "I actually rarely drive my car. I prefer my motorcycle."

"Oh..." she was embarrassed to be thinking this way about him. But what she didn't realize was that a man like him didn't have a girlfriend or any admirers.

"Secretary Park," one of Ji Hoo's employees murmured, his attention fixed on Ji Hoo's car. "When did young master become concerned about strangers?"

"She's not a stranger," he said, recalling Ji Hoo passionately kissing the girl in the hospital. He hadn't wanted to interrupt him during his kiss but the nurses would have gossiped about it. He could tell that the boy he raised was growing into a real man.

"Young master knows her?" the employee asked.

"Why don't you get back to work," he told the gossiping employee and walked away.

Yoon Shopping Mall...

Ji Hoo and Jan Di entered the shopping mall. One of the malls he owned was big, although not as large as Shinwa Shopping Mall. They were greeted warmly by the employees and the supervisor.

"What can we get you, young master?" The manager inquired.

"I need the fresh arrival of thirty pairs of workplace attire and simple shoes."

Employees and managers stared at him, then their gazes riveted to Geum Jan Di. "What are you staring at, go back to work," he barked.

"Yes," they said as they bowed and went to find what had been requested.

Ji Hoo then escorted Jan Di to the dressing area, where he gave her a chair to seat and took a seat as well. His eyes then settled on Jan Di who has been clutching her bag the entire time. He then began wondering if he was making her feel uncomfortable with his presence.

He cleared his throat and as he was about to open his mouth to say something when the employees came with a bunch of office wear clothes and shoes. "Jan Di, come and choose," he told her.

Jan Di rose from her seat and walked over to the ladies that were holding out the clothes and shoes for her to pick. She couldn't help but feel uncomfortable at the way how the workers at the mall were staring at Jan Di, some were scoffing and others were smiling.

"Try on this one," Ji Hoo said as he pointed at a beautiful puff sleeve blazer coat, with a polyester neckline and buttoned mini skirt with pockets.

"Wow!" she exclaimed and accepted it smiling.

Jan Di exited the dressing room and approached Ji Hoo with a hesitant grin. She couldn't believe how much she looked like an office lady. Her attire made her feel gorgeous and at ease.

Ji Hoo needed to catch his breath. His gaze moved from her head to her toes. He swallowed and recalled that she needed shoes. He then got out a pair of suede black high heels, which, despite their length, Ji Hoo made sure was comfortable for her.

"You look great in this suit," he said with a smile at her.

Jan Di blushed and said, "Thank you, boss."

"You're welcome," he said, turning to face his staff, who were watching them interact. "May I have thirty of these categories?" he ordered them and immediately the employees spirited into action.

When the employees were out of sight, Jan Di turned to Ji Hoo who was staring back at her. And when their eyes locked, time stopped and at that moment, only the two of them existed.

Jan Di's heartbeat escalated from slow to fast as Ji Hoo continued to gaze at her. Not even Jun Pyo has ever made her heart beat faster. It's true that whenever she is with Jun Pyo, she's happy but not so happy since he forced her into a relationship two years ago.

After they finished shopping for clothes and shoes, Ji Hoo offered to give her a ride to her home. She had objected but Ji Hoo insisted that he could give her. Although she was feeling uncomfortable over what he had done to her, he made her feel that it meant nothing and he shouldn't feel bad about it.

Ji Hoo's car was parked in her apartment. They both got out of the car and unloaded what they shopped for. The bags were too many for Jan Di to carry alone and Ji Hoo offered to assist her in carrying them to her house.

"Thank you, sir," she said bowing.

"Your house is small but cozy" he commented walking around. He saw the simple furniture, the kitchen the dining room.

"Well am practicing independence"

Ji Hoo nodded. He turned to look at her and she was looking uncomfortable again and that was all he needed to know for him to leave.

"I will come for you tomorrow-"

"That's not necessary" she objected. "Having a job is enough for me"

"OK" he sighed defeated but after all, he knew where she lived now and that was enough for now.

Jan Di opened the door for him to walk out but he lingered there looking at her as if asking something. Jan Di being clueless, ignored it until he leaned toward her face. He gazed at her lips and licked his unconsciously.

He took a forward stride. Their bodies were now touching. Jan Di took a step backward out of shyness; her back touched the wall, and she was trapped.

Without saying anything further, Ji Hoo smiled, placed one hand on the wall and the other solidly on her shoulders, and pressed his lips to hers.

The short but lovely kiss made her weak in the knees, and they nearly buckled. She held on to the brick wall for support. He'd caught her by surprise yet again.

Ji Hoo began to pull away, allowing his lips to delicately brush against hers and hold them together for a few more seconds before they separated. "I will see you around miss beautiful," he said then, he winked at her, and just like that, he was gone…

"Jun Pyo," Jan Di began tentatively. She was at a loss for words when she told him she was working with a man who had a crush on her and had stolen two kisses from her. The worst part is that she had no regrets.

"I got a position at Su-Am Art Center," she announced.

"What?" he exclaimed as he rose from his chair.

Jun Pyo was fully aware that Jan Di would need a job to support herself and her family before beginning her internship, so why did she choose his best friend's company? Weren't their other companies apart from this? Ji Hoo was a single handsome man and women could easily fall in love with him. His relationship with Jan Di wasn't stable yet and yet he planned on asking her to marry him.

Jan Di is a simple girl and Ji Hoo is an outgoing man. Although he lost interest in women, he still hoped to find a simple and naïve girl who could make him happy and share the same dreams as him and that was Geum Jan Di who has always wanted to help out less fortunate people.

"How long are you going to remain there?" he inquired gently, trying to keep his emotions under control.

"Three months or more," she said firmly this time.

"Oh, I see," he sighed, "who's your boss?"

"His name is Mr. Yoon Ji Hoo, the grandson of the former president of Korea"

"Does he know you have a boyfriend?" he inquired once again.

"He doesn't need to know."

'Then I'll notify him myself so he doesn't make a move,' he reasoned.

"Let's go out to dinner," he said.

'I should ask her to marry me tonight,' he thought. 'If she says yes, I won't be worried.'

"OK," she said cheerfully. She suddenly remembered she needed to prepare her boss's schedule, but she would do it later.

After dinner at Jun Pyo's favorite restaurant, they started playing music and he took out something from his pocket and placed a velvet red box in front of her. "Marry Jan Di, and I will not allow you to be a simple assistant to anybody."

Will Geum Jan Di say yes? since the relationship hasn't been stable

That was my second chapter.
