Ronnie walked back to the car deep in thought. He knew there had been a very strong chance they had a murder investigation on their hands. It didn't mean they had to like it. He unlocked the car as Matt paused to answer his phone. The late autumn sunshine fading as Ronnie got into the drivers side.

"What is it?" Ronnie asked as Matt got into the car.

"Angie." He paused. "We have some background on how our victim may have come to be in the flat. We thought it was his name on the rent book."

"Yeah." Ronnie nodded as he reversed the car out of the small parking space. "And?"

"It weren't him renting it."

"Someone was using his name? Why?"

"Not just someone. Looks like his uncle. Made himself a lot of money over the years, various scams and not exactly illegal ways of making money." Matt explained. "It seems he was using Danny's identity. One of the women Joe and Sam spoke to said she heard them arguing about it. Called him Uncle Max."

"Max Morris." Ronnie shook his head. "Doesn't ring any bells to me."

"Not for me, either." Matt agreed.

"Seems we need to find this Uncle Max, see what he 'as to say for himself."

"Yeah." Matt paused, hoping that there wouldn't be a repeat of the last time they had a run in with the Morris family. He couldn't help but let his thoughts wander to the not so distant past as he remembered the horror story Jimmy Morris had brought to their door. Resting his head back against the car seat headrest he tried not to let the nausea wash over him. He had a feeling it was going to be a long day.

"I want to go to the prison." Joe announced as Natalie walked back into the main office.

"Any particular reason?" She raised an eyebrow as he turned to her.

"Guv, Morris has another, what five years left on his sentence before he can put in for parole?" He watched as Natalie nodded.

"He was convicted of drugs smuggling and trying to murder two coppers."

"Two?" Joe frowned as Natalie nodded. Angie bit her lip, remembering the original case well. Joe had still been with Safeguarding at the time.

"Me and Matt." Natalie paused. "I told you. Morris is dangerous. He terrified his family. Shot Matt and put a knife in me. Don't underestimate him. I'd bet money he is involved in his son's death. How I don't know but yeah, I think you should talk to him."

"Guv." Joe frowned as the enormity of the case finally sank in.

"Only not on your own." She stepped into her office before grabbing her coat. "Come on then , you waiting for a written invite or what?" Natalie walked out of the office giving Joe no option but to follow her.
