Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Ogre's Rabbit. Enjoy the 3700-word chapter I don't own Titanfall or Genlock, Rooster teeth, Respawn and a few others do.

(The Anvil)

Havoc looked at Cammie. It wasn't as if the Titan had anything to tell her. If anything? He wasn't sure of anything that the woman could throw at him.

"You got something to say, bud?" Cammie asked as Havoc's optics opened.

"Questioning what the Major sees in your abilities," Havoc responded as he hummed. "There's a lot more to you know, I do see that you're a good fighter… But you aren't often on the battlefield, aren't you?" Havoc stated as Cammie frowned.

"How did… Ah, you're a smart robot, aren't you?" Cammie questioned who got a nod from the machine as he turned to look around.

He was quiet if only for a few seconds when all of this was said and done. He could not tell what the man wanted or what would be done if Aiden was here. Aiden was an officer for good reason which told him that there was at least some small part of him that was fully intending to handle this properly but didn't… If anything? He was unsure of what would happen.

Cammie sighed and turned around in place. She could go and talk to Aiden but she doubted it'd do anything like give her answers. The boy was a military officer and as such? She probably had better odds getting a rock to give up its secrets at the end of the day.

Still? It would be better than just dealing with this odd little problem there at the end of the day. More had to be done to get answers either way and it wasn't like she had much better things to have done at the end of the day.

He rubbed at his nose, preparing, for now, that he hadn't yet found a decent answer to this, nor did he expect it to be so easy before now. He questioned before he seemed to be prepared for now. He had a lot more to do before he escaped this place and was able to explore the other recesses of this place and everything that came with it.

(With Cammie.

Cammie typed on the console in front of Havok. She could feel the metallic man looking at her, questioning what to have said, how to have said it. She was fully thrown off by such things, but she didn't show it much.

Still? if she was fully honest? Such things felt as if they were off-putting if they crawled around her brain. No, if anything? She had much more concerning things to have done, a lot more concerning things to worry about.

"If ya want to chat, I'm open to it. I know you're watching me look you over. Your owner damn well made a lot of personal modifications ain't he?" Cammie questioned to which Havok fell silent.

"He enjoys such things, yes. He is rather proud of many of the modifications made to my chassis and power supply." Havok responded with a hum. "I implore you to allow me to speak. I do not wish to cause harm unless needed." Havok stated to which Cammie rolled her eyes.

"Fing robot barking orders at me… Fine, tell me what's up?" Cammie asked before she crossed her legs under her.

"The Major cares enough about you to wish to trust you," Havok said before he looked to the side. "While he agrees it's too early for trust to that degree? I believe he is fully aware of the fact that you and he are on the same side and wishes to help." Havok said as Cammie tilted her head to the side.

"He trusts me?" Cammie asked to which Havok looked around before he shook his head.

"He trusts in what you're doing when it comes down to it. I don't know if he has some sort of plan, only that he wishes to try and help." Cammie stated to which he shrugged.

"I don't know, all that I know for a fact is that he is willing to be more communicative than he usually is. He wanted to help, that is why he allowed your group to catch him." Havok stated before he hummed. "That and to ensure the proper evacuation of Militia troops. He does care enough to let his men get away." Havok added to which he sighed.

"You're saying if I go to him now, he'll let me talk to him?" Cammie asked to which Havok shrugged.

"If he believes it will help, yes. He trusts you enough to talk to me… If you wish to keep your scientist friend alive?" Havok said before looking over at the staff.

"I would suggest not harming him or attempting to access the private data aboard me. That will be taken as a sign of aggression and Titans like me are programmed to terminate such threats to pilot or data with lethal force." Havok stated to which the girl nodded before she hummed.

She forced herself to her feet and slowly started to walk back toward his cell. There was a lot more to have to amuse herself for now. The few measures the machine had were constantly at odds with whatever he had to do next.

Still? The Major had given him certain instructions and as his partner and a machine within the Militia army? He had a responsibility to carry it all out for now. Havok knew they had more and more work to have to do next when it came down to it.

There were a lot of thoughts on his mind that they had something here that needed to be done with. He couldn't for the life of it understand Aiden's plan, but he was simply his muscle for the time being and that meant following his orders properly.

They had a lot more to have to focus upon which meant they had something else for the time being when it came down to it. Cammie decided to go speak to Aiden who was busy and she knew the doctor could get her there.

"Doc? I think we should go talk to our friend in lockup." Cammie stated to which she seemed to have to question what was to have to happen next.

She didn't know what to have to focus on when it came down to it. They needed a lead anyway, something to have talked about and it was clear that she didn't know a better way when it came down to it.

She sighed before she shook her head and started to walk around the room and it was a lot more to have to question now.

(With Aiden)

Aiden looked up at the Colonel who stood over him. He had fallen silent, simply leaning against the back of the cell where he had gotten used to while he looked up at the woman.

"Are you going to have a staring contest? You're going to hurt your eyes like that." Aiden stated before he shook his head.

"Do you wish to have me resort to more unsavory methods to get information?" He heard before he shook his head.

"Interrogation like that only works when the person breaks under pressure. I'm a soldier, Colonel, I've dealt with worse than this." Aiden stated to which he sighed to himself.

"What are you going to do to get it out of me?" Aiden asked before he raised an eyebrow. "I think you have company, Colonel," Aiden stated while he gestured to the door.

"Doctor, what are you doing here? I'm busy." He heard as he rolled his eyes and looked around the room before he shook his head.

"I want to talk to the prisoner, see if I can get them to open up a bit. We have a bit of history." Cammie said to which Aiden hummed and looked around with such amusement that he could have done something for now.

He was all too eager to be interested in what she'd do, how she'd see this all end. He looked at Cammie as the Colonel approached.

"Hello, cottontail, got too busy talking to Hav to come to talk with me? I'm hurt." Aiden said as Cammie nodded.

"Your robot is very advanced for someone who's said to be militia," Cammie added to which Aiden shrugged.

"Fancy name doesn't make someone one thing or another," Aiden said to which Cammie nodded. "I hope he was nice to you. Damn boy sometimes forgets he has manners and I honestly apologize if that… Big lug forgets he's one of the good guys." Aiden added as Cammie shrugged.

"You spoke to his machine and it listened to you?" The Colonel asked to which Aiden rolled his eyes.

"His name is Havoc and yes, he did. I told him to talk to her… She I trust, you? You just remind me of the damn IMC who burned down my home and started this war." Aiden stated before he shook his head before he pondered what to do.

He hadn't yet had to question before he seemed to have to question for the time being to which he sighed before he seemed to have gotten off the ground.

"So, your Cammie?" Aiden asked before he hummed. "I'm surprised, never seen a robot the size of a building. Very impressive and even more impressive you picked Hav up like a toy." Aiden stated to which the girl shrugged.

"Ah, and your Aiden… Hav says hi, he's rather nice. I suppose he's just looking out for ya, ain't he?" Cammie questioned to which Aiden hummed.

"Well, he's nice, he's my friend so I suppose he'd have to do that. It comes with being my partner. I just want you to know he's a rather nice guy when he isn't shooting people." Aiden said as he leaned on the wall behind him.

"Is this working?" Marin stated to which Weller held up his hand.

"The Militia, they're the good guys, right? You seemed pretty keen on saving your friends out there." Cammie asked to which Aiden nodded.

"Yeah, just like how you seemed to have been one of the good guys?" Aiden stated to which he rubbed his temples. "Let me guess? Hav told you to talk to me? He didn't understand the plan for me to get caught." Aiden stated before he shook his head.

"Wait, you wanted to come here?" Cammie said before he shook his head.

"No, it was just after you caught me? I decided it'd be best to let things play out and let both sides get something out of this." Aiden said before he sighed. "Havoc suggested just blowing up and taking everyone down with us but I thought nobody decided that yet…" Aiden stated to which she blinked.

"Relax, Hav don't hurt anyone I don't tell him to hurt… You guys aren't the same fascist intergalactic super company me and I have been fighting all over space, have ya? If you were? THEN maybe he'd hurt you, but you ain't to the best of my knowledge. So anyway, my question… Why did you decide to attack me on foot rather than talk? I saw a robot the size of a damn building but you're shorter than me." Aiden said to which Cammie rolled her eyes.

"Aye, jackass…. And it was because you put a damn bomb on my face! Forgot that, ain't ya?" Cammie asked to which Aiden hummed.

"The robot is the size of a building. I knew damn well that wouldn't do anything but buy me a few seconds to get away. Why? Does that do more than ring your bell? I'm sorry, was too terrified to notice." Aiden stated to which Mirin sighed.

"What is this Militia and where did you get that technology?" Mirin asked as Aiden rolled his eyes.

"From the IMC and not talking when you're not nice. Cammie here and I are talking like two people who don't want to bite the other's head off. All I know is you're a stone-cold military officer who doesn't play nice with others… The militia is freedom fighters back home, that's who we are." Aiden stated to which Mirin went to speak.

"Back home meaning… Space?" Cammie asked to which Aiden hummed.

"What… Year, is this, Cammie?" Aiden asked as he started to pace back and forth, already expecting something.

"2072, why?" Cammie asked to which Aiden fell silent.

"S***…" Aiden said as he ran his hands through his scalp. "Ok, either this place is WAY behind on the clocks… Or this ain't home. It's 2210 back where I came from. This isn't the same galaxy where I'm from then, and yeah. I know how crazy that seems, but I have about a thousand goddam questions on my head myself." Aiden said to which Mirin raised an eyebrow.

"You're telling me this technology ISNT from Earth?" Mirin asked as he shook his head.

"No, Colonel, we aren't. I'm from Earth where I come from… EU if you want to get fancy or somewhere around there. The militia isn't from Earth, we left it behind a long time ago when it started falling apart. You can ask my boss if I ever get to speak to her." Aiden stated as Cammie fell silent.

"So, you guys are like aliens then?" Cammie asked as Aiden waggled his finger.

"Nah… You I like, you ain't afraid to tell someone to go screw off if you get pushed. The militia could use a girl like you if you wanted to join." Aiden stated before he looked at Mirin. "You want to talk to my boss? Then go ask for the commander. They might yell at you for official business and all, but she'll tell you the damn truth… This ain't what I expected." Aiden stated to which he rubbed at his eyes.

"Then what about you? You're going to be locked up here. Ain't going to be much damn help if you're locked up here." Cammie said as Aiden shrugged.

"Something tells me with the way that war is going there's going to be a reason I'm out of here sooner or later," Aiden stated before he fell silent.

"Is that a threat?" Marin asked before Aiden rolled his eyes back into his head.

"No, Lady," Aiden stated before he shook his head to the side. "She's your boss? I feel bad for you, Cammie. Mine isn't half that way. She's not someone whom I'd follow." Aiden stated before he shook his head and looked around.

"He's right. Sooner or later the Union is going to show up. If he wanted to fight? There are a few things he could have done… I've seen that warbot. It's impressive, very impressive, isn't it?" Weller stated to which he shook his head.

"Well, thanks, I'm glad Hav was happy to make some friends," Aiden stated before he sighed. "Lady? If I wanted to kill you? I'd have had Havoc blow the damn reactor in his chest. The thing might take the entire city with him if he does it good enough." Aiden said before he spoke up, not letting her speak a second later.

"I knew Cammie isn't a bad guy. If she wanted to kill me? She'd have crushed Havoc into scrap the SECOND she grabbed me. Your nice when it comes down to it, ain't ya?" Aiden stated before he sighed to himself.

He looked to question what to do next. It was clear more or less what to have done next. It was something else before now that he had problems with his hands. He was silent, too unsure of what to do next.

"If I wanted a fight? I'd have done something about it. Trust me… This is where I want to be, trust me… It's exactly where I want to be, Cammie." Aiden said before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. "I came here for her, Major. Do you want to argue with that? That's what I came here for…. I figured she'd at least give me some answers without barking orders." Aiden stated to which he had fallen silent.

It was a lot more of an odd little broke, something that should have come more and more time and energy. It was clear Marin wasn't the one he should have cared about, her materials when it came down to it. The woman wasn't worth his time.

He looked over at Cammie who had fallen silent and yet she looked at the soldier. He was too unsure for now. A lot more focused upon the issue at hand and yet all too willing to let this end properly.

He hadn't at all before it came down to it. They had more to discuss for the time being and it was clear such problems only served to have questioned for now.

He hadn't at all seemed to have questioned what to do next. He wasn't going to be ok where it came down to it. They had such issues before now.

Cammie was all too eager to have picked his brain and it was clear that such problematic things would have existed if only for the idea that they'd be able to have to figure out it eventually.

He was too prepared for the idea this fell apart and while he looked at Weller? Most of Aiden's attention was still on her more than anything before he questioned what to do next.

"I think this talk has gone on long enough," Marin said before Aiden rolled his eyes once more.

"I think the idea you think yelling at people and making threats to have bothered when it comes down to it. You're not going to be ridiculously getting answers when it comes down to it… I don't want to talk to you if you're going to throw your weight around, Colonel." Aiden stated to which he shook his head.

It was clear something would have come and shattered it to pieces and shattered it to pieces all too soon… All soon enough for it not to have mattered to him. It was truly and utterly so damn clear that if nothing else? Their problems were going to have come to them sooner or later. It was all so utterly clear to her that he wasn't going to hurt her if he wanted to. Well, he'd have probably done so or tried something.

Cammie watched as Weller pulled Marin away, the colonel only huffed, annoyed a 17-year-old girl had been able to get answers while she had been lucky to collect anyone at all. It was so utterly clear to her that he wanted to talk.

"If you're the hero? Tell me something… Why capture me? Why not try and talk me down? Trust me, the LAST thing I wanted to do was fight a 25ft mech that could step on Havoc and me and crush us." Aiden said as he walked to the door, pressing a hand to the glass. "You're not a soldier who is used to war, are you? I can see that. I've been there… So, who the hell brought you into this damned hell?" Aiden asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"The Vanguard, colonel runs it… Why, what about you? Ya don't look damn well older than me." Aiden heard as he shrugged and waved his hands back and forth.

"I'm in my 20s last time I checked, lady. I've been a soldier since I was 10… IMC didn't exactly give my family much choice when it came down to it… War does a LOT to people, a LOT to have made people like this… Trust me, you don't want to be a soldier without a good reason." Aiden said before he sighed.

"The Union did s*** to me that nobody should have to go through… I damn well ain't running from the fight that easy." Cammie said as Aiden nodded.

"You sound like me when my boss showed up, Cams," Aiden said before he glanced at her as if expecting something. "You're a good person, so I'll be honest with you… I don't give a damn about your boss; I've seen too many damn people like her who want direct answers without thinking." Aiden stated as he sighed.

"But you trust me after I kicked your arse?" Cammie asked, almost amused at the idea.

"Well, you just have one of those faces…" Aiden joked before he frowned. "Whoever is the boss of your little group… The mecha one, not the colonel? Go get them, I'll answer anything you can ask me about the Militia… But I ain't telling Ms. Rulebook so she can order you to wipe them out… Militia ain't saints, might even call us terrorists if you ask the IMC… But they don't deserve to be slaughtered. You trust me enough to go talk to your friends about this?" Aiden asked as Cammie pondered the idea for a second.

She nodded as Aiden hummed and smiled, slowly sitting on the floor as he did so.

"Make sure to tell Hav I said hey… Trust me, he might snark at you like the big lug he is, but he's not so bad. Well, less your IMC or a hostile, then your dead meat." Aiden stated before he shook his head and then looked around the room. It was clear more than anything that they hadn't been allowed to properly think of what to do next. They had a lot more on their plates than before and it was all too clear such things had only served to push what had to come next to the forefront.

Aiden could tell Cammie was one of the few who had entirely been a noncombatant in life, wasn't exactly like such a thing was often off. it was clear more and more to him at the very least such a thing had only served

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show more of Cammie and Aiden talking and more of their problems when it comes down to it. Until then, Lighting Wolf is out!
